Not the taste of Japan but the service is great

The place was full but didn't have to wait long. We were sitting in a nice place. Were served by Lauren and were not rushed to order. The atmosphere was very nice and the temperature inside the restaurant was very pleasant. Have been here before and do coming back. They have a great vegetarian choice. The prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent. Had Tofu Firecracker, which is our favourite. Gochujang rice bowl and Yasai pad Thai. Drank Asahi draft and High five. Will definitely visit again soon.

The place was empty (weekday lunchtime) but staff ignored me and only came over to seat me when another couple came in. They took the couple's drinks order and then brought their drinks, without ever taking mine even though I was on my own at the table next to them. When they went to take their food order and I was still sitting there ignored I had no choice but to walk out.

The food is great the service is amazing and they’re polite. Definitely going again.

Staff was so rude. They got my order wrong multiple times and made no attempt to fix it. Would not come back here. Avoid at all costs.

Been several times to the restaurant. Tonight, I ordered food after a very emotional day. I ordered 9:55pm without realising it was closing at 10pm. I phoned up and asked if this was okay and I was spoken to by a lovely lady. Upon arrival, they had packed a free Coca Cola! Which included a kind message on it. Truly made my day, exceptional service!

Extremely poor service, people who were seated after us got served before us very poor... The food was great as always 😋.

The only thing about this is that the food comes out at different times, so you can be having your mains before your starters

We ordered through deliveroo for a large family and this particular chain thought it would be appropriate to deliver in two separate deliveries, half an hour apart.

It's busy and a little too noisy but the food is good and so is the service

DO NOT GO HERE !!! The queue is so long outside and they would not serve our party of 7 even though we clearly had a booking they still denied our entry and we ended up waiting for 15 minutes only to find that they could only sit us if we split up ! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!

We were served by a lovely lady Lauren. She was very friendly with a warm welcoming smile. There was a small misunderstanding about the opening time as we had the days confused, which we weren’t upset about or took note of. Lauren however was kind enough to come to our table on three different occasions to apologies about the misunderstanding, her customer service skills are great, very warm and kind lady. Thank you Lauren :)

I just want to praise the excellent customer care and service extended to myself and my girlfriend at the Watford Wagamama's An incident occurred after myself and five others had dined at the Wagamama's restaurant, four of our colleagues had left, the girlfriend & myself had stayed behind finishing our drinks. After my gf went to the washroom, I was approached by a customer requesting I should vacate the table as the staff were waiting to clear up.. Fair enough I thought seeing as how busy the place was and I told the customer I would be leaving when my gf gets back, I had to reiterate this when she suggested that I wait by the bar! Our waitress came up expressing her sincerest apologies for what just happened and I could hear the customer in the background saying I was OK with her suggestion! Three different members of staff including Amanda, staff manager, came up to me expressing there dismay that this should have happened and telling me how sorry that I had to experience such rude entitled behaviour. Amanda insisted that we should stay with complimentary drinks of choice on the house.. We had coffees, and she gave us a lovely voucher for our next visit to any Wagamama restaurant! All I can say is how satisfying it was to be looked after with courteous and professional staff at Wagamama's and I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to visit Amanda and her team at Wagamama's!

not the taste of Japan food is just fair... and everything is too focus on spicy rather than flavour I would really say that is completely not the Japanese cuisine but the service is excellent!

It's always busy here during weekends, but I am always lucky to have a corner table not sharing with others. The food is really delicious and the broth is so tasty in the ramen. The hostess is very attentive and very quick on giving us a table. The atmosphere is great. I could see an open kitchen where they dispensed the orders. I also tried their healthy smoothie, although it's good but the glass is too small for the price.

Ordered a katsu curry never came for 40 mins then got given to someone else absolutely appalling!!! Shocking service

I think this was my first visit to this chain, I have to say that the service, from the time we stepped through the door until we left, was excellent. The young staff were attentive, polite and helpful in explaining how things worked. The food was well presented, freshly prepared and tasted so good. There was a small problem, a wrong dish was served, they apologized, I chose to eat it rather than waste it and they gave me a voucher to use on a future visit which I look forward to using.

I've been here several times and the food is 9/10 pretty good, however that 1/10 when it isn't good it's inedible. On two separate occasions a chicken dish has been raw, however the staff were very kind and delt with it well. All and all, if you like any other wagamama's restraunt you'll like this one although I'd take some caution when ordering chicken dishes, especially if it's a busy time.

Had a lovely meal. The waiters were friendly and quick to take orders. Seating was a little uncomfortable. I would like to have a back to the stools and somewhere to hang coats near our table.

Good service and delicious food!

Unfortunate Wagamama experience, worst one I’ve been too. Restaurant wasn’t too busy but service was awful, was only a table of 3. Even though multiple tables was available, took 12 mins for us to be seated but many staff just standing in the corner by the bar. By the time we finally ordered drinks, they didn’t arrive until all our meals was out since they “lost our ticket” apparently. Brought out Yaki soba but forgot the side dish of katsu curry sauce which was ordered as told to the waiter to go on top, waited 7 mins which by the time the meal was going cold. Even when asking for a fork we got told we had to wait because of the dishwasher. I appreciate everything comes out when it’s ready but when ordering the waiter was told this was apart of the meal. Even when going to pay, long wait to get a server over, tried to pay online but wrong order number was given to our table. Considering this is a smaller branch of Wagamama, really disappointed for the price and overall quality. Wouldn’t recommend visiting this branch

Food is good, but service is rubbish. Ordered for 2 one person finished eating second received food. First person never received the drink ordered. Even when the place is busy these things could be better managed.

Went in yesterday after a long time looking forward to a ramen. I was the first customer for lunch and as I was shown to my table something didn't feel right. I sat down and looked around....and there was dirt and food from the day before all over the floor and tables. It was disgusting....nothing had been cleaned. I walked out. Won't be going back in a rush!

Staff are always overwhelmed by the volume of online orders so the service is poor. As someone with allergies, my food has to ordered separately. While I have no problem with this, the overrun staff means my order is taken much later. Last time my tablemates food arrived just as I was giving my order.

Even though it's a chain restaurant, the chefs still put maximum effort into the food and the staff all around are very accomodating.

as normal, wagamama was a perfect option for dinner! the service was decent but some items took a bit long to come, not like our normal experience. i ordered a chicken katsu with teriyaki sauce insdead of the normal curry sauce, with a coke. i was there with my family and they kinda okay with the service kinda not! the chicken was kinda chewy and it was all hidden under the rice, there was not much chicken as they hid it under the rice to give it the effect that it would be a lot. at the end we ordered a cake and i have a nut allergy so we asked a waiter if there was any nuts, he said we do not keep any nuts in the restarunt, then another one 5 mins later said there where little bits of nuts in it. very dissapointed as i had a reaction!

There was a line when I arrived but we did not have to wait long at all. The staff were nice and made sure we were comfortable, checked on our satisfaction etc. The atmosphere was lovely, with live cooking and families enjoying the wealth of menu items on offer. The food also came out surprisingly fast. I ordered the pork belly ramen, It was great but the pork belly tasted a little plain so I added chilli oil and seasoning that was offered on the table. My friend ordered the chilli chicken ramen which she said was delicious. The chicken gyōza was also amazing, very succulent and tasty. I know I am definitely going again.

Amanda was the best server I’ve ever had in Wagamama! She was so happy and attentive, nothing we asked was too much- she checked ingredients and stock for us. We loved the chilli margaritas!! Thank you again. :)

Eaten wagas everywhere but this was by far the best experience because of Mat. He was & is genuinely amazing, gave us the best recommendation for the drinks.

Food was absolutely delicious, however the forks and knives weren't there. The price was also fairly decent.

Ordered the new chilli magherita cocktail and it was nice but when trying to order another one; they’d run out of it! Portion size for chilli squid has reduced. Food was ok otherwise but prices are now really high and not worth that much in my opinion. Went to celebrate an anniversary but not very happy with the visit today.

Last visited pre pandemic. The amount of chicken in the katsu dish has dropped a lot and been replaced with more rice and salad. Restaurant air conditioning fan froze us all and made for an uncomfortable visit. Staff were friendly but rushed us to order even though it wasn't busy

Really good food, healthy and a wide range, the taste of the katsu wasn't up to scratch, the rice also was over cooked. Other than that it was good, the ramen was great.

Ive been there multiple times and food was delicious each time. Service was kind and helpfull, especially from Karolina, who was checking us often with smile on her face. Recommended to everyone who wants to taste Far Asia food!!!

Our service was very good from Egli and a young black waiter (we are sorry but forgot his name). He happily provided detailed product knowledge answers to our initial food menu questions. The food was well-prepared and tasty with decent sized portions. We ate quite early so many young families were present and the atmosphere was congenial. The payment method using a QR code was not tgo our liking ( no idea about it) so we simply asked to pay by card which was fine. Another reviewer said he could not opt out but we had no issue and I doubt anybody would. The QR code simply saves staff time I guess. Overall I felt a over the little top price wise for simple wok noodle food, so would have to have a think before revisiting despite nice service and meal experience.

I ordered a vegetarian dish since I don’t eat meat, and I wouldn’t say I’m a picky person when it comes to food. The only thing I will NOT eat are bell peppers because it’s just something I’ve hated all my life. Ever since I could chew solid food, I hated bell peppers. I hate them so much that I’d rather eat raw octopus as a vegetarian than eat a bell pepper. Anyway, I ordered a veg dish and nowhere did it state it had bell peppers, but when it came out it was basically the whole dish. From the sauce to the dumplings it was full of bell peppers.I tried eating around but I just couldn’t, so I asked for the menu again because I wanted to order something else and the manager, I presume, comes to me with some recommendations asking if I want something from the KIDS menu… I thought that was so rude, she could have simply given me a veg recommendation without bell peppers from the main menu but she had to be rude instead. No one has ever asked me if I wanted a kids menu since I was a kid… food looked great though and the waiter was nice so I tipped him 15% but that’s it…

Eat here from time to time, in general ok but today took way too long to serve us, seemed to prioritise online orders which was a disappointing restaurant experience

Chicken Teriyaki was dry and a little under par in general. I'm told the standard is usually a bit better. Staff were helpful but pretty slow. In the end the chef himself took the time to bring it out, so I appreciated that.

We went for dinner at Wagamama Watford last night and it was a really poor experience. I ordered the Cha Han, something that I've ordered before, but it had so little chicken or prawns in it that I basically paid for an expensive bowl of brown rice. Not filling, not tasty, not good value. I don't know if this was a one off mistake or is now policy, but it wasn't good. The table next to us was left uncleared and it stank. When we asked it to be cleared, the waiting staff were really rude and basically told us that they were too busy. Finally when it came to paying, Wagamama try to take all of your personal details, including phone number, when you pay for the meal by QR code. You can't opt out, it's just a rampant grab of your personal details for no good reason. I don't know what Wagamama are doing but I'm not going back in a hurry.

Food lovely but not good service. Got both orders wrong then forgot an order so ate alone. Took one meal off the bill . Also chair I was sat on was broken

Went to Wagamama Watford this afternoon for lunch with kids. Warm welcome from Madhav, a lovely girl took our order, she was very helpful and suggested nice dishes to order. Chef Kajtek and Sachin was very kind to amend the order as my daughter liked it. Efficient and helpful staff. Enjoyed our visit, will go again, 💫⭐💫⭐💫

Came here specifically for the pork belly ramen but was kinda dissapointed. I mean I feel like wagamama quality varies from branch to branch but the one in watford has to be on the lower end. Food was no where near as good as for example the milton keynes branch. Staff were OK, they didn't really bother much. Our tea glasses had lipstick stains on them and our water had something floating inside it, the spoons on the tables had food stuck to them and were dirty. To sum it u, it was just OK and would not be returning to this branch.

Haven't been here in a while, new items on the menu, really lovely wait staff, very helpful and make sure you have everything you need. Food comes out quickly, random but that's fine by me Don't feel rushed to leave, have the app to pay the bill from your phone, quite handy, not sure I want everywhere to do that though.

Fantastic from the start to finish! Got served very quickly by very friendly members of staff.. they took our drinks right away and even sorted out food. The food came out quite quickly as well. Very nice presentation and tastes really good! Would recommend to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine!!

Lovely place to eat - i had the teriyaki beef bowl which i definitely recommend. Food is always delicious but sometimes the wait can be long especially when busy. Waiters are often friendly and there are toilets in the back. The kitchen is open plan so you can see the chefs frying up various dishes. Overall a great experience

Food is great but there is no ice and when you order extra sauce they will give the smallest amount when its charged.

We had dinner on Saturday night- May 13th with our kids. Everything we ordered from the menu (including kid’s meals) was tasty. To top it up we were looked after by a really sweet young lady called ‘Egli’. It was refreshing to see such personalised customer service which is rare to find in London. Keep up the good work girl!

On the menu a world food franchise that's on the Highstreet Wagamama Watford, we ordered during peak hour & decided to do a pick-up collection. Quality: The standard of Wagamama has being good over the many years, the take-out element hinders the expectations on dine-n & in peak times standards must be maintain, our meals past the transit test with confidence, the chicken katsu was the only thing we could falter, dry & over cooked but pletty of, the other ingredients excellently delivered on Wagamamas name. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value: Whilst we have observed many main stream franchise takeaway portions over the years, we still find even Wagamamas skimping on this, we still expect to see our money fill our plates at home just like in-house dining portions, for a big franchise, prices have jumped slightly but remain standard for the experience that not just burgers & fries. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Taste: Balance is everything even with our peak take-out time Wagamamas still nailed the taste. Our pot still received a good combination of spice, veg & seasoning to keep us wanting more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Consistency: We've found with Wagamamas though in house dining & take-out orders shouldn't differ they do, even from city to city we've experienced plates near half filled, or bigger portions than normal it can be a mixed bag by the time your plate come to the table. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ We like Wagamamas, it's a solid dining experience perfect for people looking to try something different eat-in or takeaways. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy. The food was OK. Cauliflower in bang bang cauliflower was not cooked. Overall - poor experience.

Usual wagamama experience. Great food served in their usual "when ready" way. Staff super helpful and paid via the qr code on the place mats which I'm a big fan of. Always recommend the gyozas and the fresh juices!

very expensive for a bowl of. noodles soup which they call Ramen . good ambience and energetic and young staff need a thumbs up . it depends on your taste , I did not like the food , it was blant for me , not worth the money

Me and my sister went there for her birthday and we have found this very nice restaurant were you can have a very delicious meal accompanied by a healthy drink (fresh fruit juice), also the ladies are offering a very good customer service. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME AGAIN!
