Never visited this place. The Google map algorithm is on acid sometimes. I'll go and have a coffee just to confirm this review (after). I've seen it from outside. Is a cafe, with flowers. Done

Really nice place. But little too loud for old people like me.

Was very excited to try this place with my partner, after seeing glowing reviews from “SecretLondon” on Instagram. The decor was lovely and the food was well presented, however the service was absolutely diabolical. Absolutely no service after our plates were taken away, the staff were constantly walking past our table and felt as if they were deliberately avoiding eye contact. Staff appeared to be attending to everyone else but myself and my partner. Debated whether to have desert however decided not to out of principle for this awful service. The waiter did not even ask if we would like to see the desert menu or offer us any more drinks when our plates were taken away. It was actually really hurtful seeing the staff deliberately ignore us to attend to other guests/wipe tables. Had been sitting there for about 20 minutes after we had finished without a single member of staff attending to us. Was then required to physically leave our seat and request for the bill from the waiter. Even more hurtfully, walked past 3 members of staff on the way out, all three of them ignoring us again, did not even acknowledge us or make eye contact, did not thank us for our custom. I would really like to return here for drinks as we really enjoyed the decor, however extremely hurt and disappointed by the awful service experienced during this visit. Visited on Saturday 24th February, table at 13:00.

Lovely food but the menu is very contemporary. Service is quite slow and had to wait a long time between courses, so I had to ask for the bill many times. Overall very nice food but service is not the best.

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening with friends and arrived early to have a couple of pre meal drinks. First impressions were great decor, great vibe and dj was a nice touch. In addition the magician was excellent. However, the cocktails were below par, too much syrup and no real natural flavour. The food was very poor. I had the prawns to start. The sauce was poor and i think it gave me stomach problems at 4am. The main course was also bland and just lacked any proper flavour or care. I had the choclate mouse desert and this was v poor. My wife had the lamb kebab, this was so small and certainly not worth the price. We also had to send the fries back 3 times as they were covered in salt and eventuality gave up. As a venue it was great and our waiter was great, he even admitted the problem with food was due to understaff. Not convinced and no concession.. As for food and drink it was way below par. Might have a beer in there but as for food and cocktails, no chance.

There is no reason to justify leaving women,manager,bar team leader and security guard for lady Charlene who do wonderful tasks, is absolutely not fair leaving the main door free entrance and Charlene looking after everyone. All my respect for you Charlene. K.G

Beautiful decor and welcome. We were hoping for brunch and were slightly underwhelmed at the limited options but we both chose something. The food and drinks arrived quickly. The food was again slightly underwhelming - eggs Benedict - small portion with a silly sized garnish and one egg over cooked- chicken waffle was good. They cleared our plates and that is when the service stopped. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert/ coffee/ more drinks ever. Despite trying to get various waiters attention they seemed more interested in clearing tables- we ultimately felt very ignored which was a real shame as we would have stayed longer to have dessert etc. even asking for the bill I had to go up to the bar to ask them for this. Beautiful decor and drinks so would go again for this but not for food and certainly not for the service experience.

Fantastic place! So aesthetically pleasing (literally smells like flowers as you’re walking up the stairs), great food and staff were lovely. Our waiter was Lewis and he was fantastic! Would definitely eat here again :)

The food at this restaurant was exceptional, with every dish being flavorful and well-prepared. The service was also outstanding, with friendly and polite staff who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic Valentine's Day celebration, and the overall experience was truly memorable and enjoyable.

While the place looks good, that is as far it goes. They food was bland and almost purchased from a supermarket - Service non-existent and yet I was charged service charge. Needless to say I will not coming back or recommending the place. It goes to show it takes more than just a "Pretty" place to keep customers happy. Very disappointing Valentines day!

Watford - We love this place, very classy, great atmosphere, decor, food (veggie and fish available). We especially liked Ken who seated and served us. I enquired about Valentine’s night and he said they were fully booked. He clearly worked his magic as I got a confirmation email the next morning confirming my booking. Would highly recommend.

This is such a hidden gem situated in Watford. We go here regularly and every time is better than the last. Its classy and you are made to feel special when you walk in. The atmosphere, decor, service and food is excellent. There is a roof terrace beautifully decorated and look forward to having a drink out there in the summer. The Manager, Ken is great, staff are friendly and willing to adapt the menu for my dietry requirements. Last night for Valentines night, the lights were low with soft music in the background. There was a special Valentines menu but we chose to choose from the regular menu. Would highly recommend.

3 out of 10. Steak not as ordered. Fish (smallest I've ever had) and chips ok. Nice room to sit in though. Starters ok but nothing over the top. Overall over rated.

Me and my girlfriend wandered into the florist in Watford on a wintery Saturday afternoon. The warm and welcoming ambience was matched by the polite and attentive staff who quickly sat us and got our drinks. My girlfriend is a vegan and was very pleased with the staffs knowledge and flexibility in ensuring she had several options to choose from. I ordered the rib eye steak which was perfectly cooked medium rare and came within 15 minutes. All the food was delicious and when paired with excellent customer service resulted in a completely pleasurable dining experience. Overall the experience was faultless and an absolute bargain. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be travelling the 35 minutes from my house to revisit it asap. Thanks to the whole team for giving such a great service and I look forward to seeing you again soon. 👍👍👍👍👍

Booked a table for my daughters birthday. Staff member got all funny about where we sat even though the place was empty. Left.

Nice setting, however extremely disappointed that I witnessed a worker, who turned out to be one of the Managers take 2 chips of one of our plates and eat them! Our food was waiting on the counter to be served and as it is an open plan restaurant I was able to see her be so brazen! In fact, she saw me see her and still allowed the plate to be served to us! I complained to another manager as soon as the food was served. On my way out she informed me she had spoken to her. That's it! No follow up whilst we were there or apology. I had planned to stay for drink in the bar and had a table booked giving a £20 deposit, but obviously did not want to stay any longer so lost this £20 in addition to being charged full price for our meal. I have tried to contact The Florist but it seems impossible. Will be reporting to the Food Standards Agency as I can be certain this is against several food hygiene regulations and poor food handling!

Such a pretty restaurant.The staff were friendly & the food & drinks were tasty.The thing I liked the most was that it wasn't loud even though it's a large venue. The staff didn't rush us, so the 5 of us spent ages having a really good catch up.I hate eating out in places that has music over all the talking, so you have to shout to talk.The Florist didn't have that at lunch time, which was great.

They didn’t have our reservation which I had on email. We rang to say we were running late and they said that that was no problem and only to arrive for them to tell us to find a table which would have meant our party of 6 would be separated onto two tables not next to each other. They then did give us a table in the restaurant even though we were just having drinks. However it then took them Half an hour to bring the drinks - the 2nd round was two bottles of wine and some glasses. They had completely run out of rose so brought us a complimentary white instead which was the wrong one and got sent back as it was weirdly fizzy. The toilets were so filthy with dirty glasses and tampax applicators everywhere. The bar was full of dirty empties that hadn’t been cleared. Highlights were the magician Miles and the French fries came quickly. After going three times before over the years since it opened for special occasions it has gone terribly downhill and I will never return!!

This place is very nice to come to with friends or your partner. It's beautiful and has lovely drinks, very fancy and tasty. The staff are fairly nice depending on the day. However I find the food disappointing and overpriced - having tried only appetisers.

Lovely lunch great service good value and the food came out quick after telling them one of us was on our lunch break! Only thing missing was the electric daiquiri they didn't have it today although the flojito was really good!

We visited m a Sunday evening. The roast dinner was one of the best we have ever had. The cocktails were lovely, and the restaurant is beautiful.

Everything was perfect. I really enjoyed. The decorations inside is beyond imagination. It's like a museum and there are lots of adventures inside. The food are good. Kids also engaged with lots of fun. Definitely come back and strongly recommend it. Especially for your party 🥳

Gone down hill ! Food was very poor pub

I used to love the florist, my favourite food from menu was katsu curry, it was always perfect but recently it got worse, our chicken was so dry and it was hard to chew almost like a stone, also the amount of rice is funny they used to serve a lot of rice but now its almost empty.

The roast dinner was so disappointing, I mean its a beautifully decorated restaurant and the staff are nice. and friendly. The beef was like two strips of leather, I sent it back and asked for the lamb, that came and was fat and grisly. The roast potatoes were deep fried, i did however enjoy the brownie!

The Florist is always an amazing experience. Fantastic atmosphere, a great range of drinks/food. Slight issue was it took a while for waiting stuff to come back to the table so had to go and find them a few times. The staff are always very lovely and helpful though.

The food were just slightly warm and very dry. The beef, chicken waffle, burger and fries were all VERY salty to the point you could not carry on eating them. The coffee looks very poor (only foam) and taste fair.

I usually come three times a year to the Florist on special occasions with friends as it is an in the middle meeting point. We have usually really enjoyed the food however I was incredibly disappointed by the food and service on this occasion. I ordered the harissa lamb kebab with fries, the lamb kebab ball was very over cooked and dry and this made it hard to even get a knife through it. It tasted as if the lamb balls were made a few days in advance and was heated when given to me. The chips were extremely salty to the point they were not edible - when I brought this up to the young waitress there was not even an apology, despite her seeing that I had barely touched my food. My friend who ordered the chicken kebab with the fries had the same issue with the salty chips. We had to keep standing up to get the waitress’s attention, even when it came to paying the bill as the young waitress was standing with another waiter doing jumping jacks! Left the restaurant with a very bad salty taste for the remaining of the day which even water did not help. Will not be going back, extremely disappointed. The waitresses do not care!!

The door is at the back, but you can't find it. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I felt it was so beautiful and fragrant, with the scent of roses. Entering the restaurant, many people asked for a table, and a few close friends made arrangements to find a good place. The food is good and the price is very reasonable. The service is also very good. highly recommend!

We had pre-ordered but when we arrived we were given menu’s and waited twenty minutes before anyone came to see if we wanted a drink that had also been pre-ordered. Thirty minutes in, we got a drink. The price per head for the Christmas menu is average but for what you get outrageously expensive. The florist has nice decor generally but the only thing on the table to indicate that it was the festive period was a folded piece of paper the size of a matchbox indicating that you could play a game of asking each other questions. This was in an empty tealight holder. No tablecloth, cracker or candle, nothing but a sticky dark table in the corner next to windows covered in handprints and smudges. I understand that there is a need to reduce waste and sustainability is a focus everywhere but zero effort was made at any form of festive cheer or even just cleanliness. Very unwelcoming. When the starters arrived there was no pate, just a pot of chutney and a piece of bread which was all cold and some tepid arancini. Raised this with the waitress, she said she would let the kitchen know and removed some money from the bill to compensate(which we only found out at the end). The main course arrived on school dinner trays without compartments. They honestly looked like baking trays! They food was cold and the meat was rubbery. We hadn’t eaten since breakfast in anticipation of a lovely Christmas meal but were sorely disappointed as that was not what we got. For pudding there were at least plates with again tepid food. Even the ice cream that sat on top of the pudding wasn’t melting! We concluded that we had had one of the worst Christmas meals out that we had ever experienced and were never going to bother again as it was a complete waste of money. We got up to pay and leave having had an awful meal and poor experience.

Firstly what a fantastic building!! Light and airy with a great atmosphere. Great variety on the menu and the food was delicious!! Good portions too!! Our server was Chika and she was really friendly and, even as we got to the end of lunch service, was just as professional and energetic as when she first brought us the menus. She gave us a great recommendation for dessert too!

Mum and I had the calamari with a sweet chili and lemongrass dip. The calamari was light and crispy and the dip was equally delicious. I had the fish and chips. The fish was also in a light and crispy batter. The chips were crunchy on the outside and melting on the inside; absolutely scrumptious! Mum had the ginger soy salmon on skewers with a roasted sesame dip. She really enjoyed it and the salmon looked caramelised. The Florist is one of my favourite restaurants and never disappoints me. I'm looking forward to coming back soon!

Came here for a Xmas party with 25 employees. Table was booked for 8pm eventually got served our main course at 10pm. Food was stone cold. Only 2 waiters available to serve us so half the table had finished their meal before the others were...

We booked a table for 15 for a Xmas event back in September, got there table not ready, sent to bar to wait, didn’t get our welcome drinks inc in package until asked for them after starters, although only one person ordered salmon I ended up with it as was told I’d have to wait another 20 mins for the turkey skewers I’d ordered. The whole booking process was very disorganised I had to submit our meal orders 3 times, no one answers the phone day or night! Having never been to the florist before but hearing great things I was disappointed. We spent over £700 and have another large event for January, but we will now book elsewhere, wouldn’t go back again.

Went for a work do and must say not very impressed. The menu on the website is not the same as in the venue, which makes it difficult when you have a food allergy!! And the pricing was very different. Their menu really was nothing special, and if you like sea food and curries, you will be fine but for someone with a food allergy they didn't once ask if they needed to cater for that which I think was awful. The service was shocking. Our server was awful and didn't seem to be happy to help us. Ordering drinks was a nightmare. The atmosphere is non-existent, and it is so loud in there you can not hear each other speak around the larger tables. I have to say for me, the whole experience is not one that I want to repeat in a hurry.

Wow, I was lucky enough to join colleagues here on the 6th December-23 for our Christmas dinner. There is something special about The Florist from the moment you walk through the doors to the end of your meal. All your senses are catered for starting with the wonderful floral aromas that hit you first. Then all the flowers and the trees are amazing. This was one of the best meals I have had out for a long time. What I also appreciated was the relatively good sound management considering the number of full tables in a large space. It was easy to speak with others at my table and I often struggle to hear in noisy places.

Had a lovely brunch with my friends to celebrate a special Birthday. Helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and delicious food!

Miscommunication on Halal Status - Disappointing Experience. My friends and I visited the restaurant on December 3rd for a special occasion, and unfortunately, our experience was marred by a significant issue. We called on December 1st to confirm the availability of halal options, and we were reassured over the phone that the restaurant served halal food. Encouraged by this information, we made a reservation for a party of four on December 3rd at 1:00 pm. To our disappointment, upon arrival and double-checking with a staff member, we were informed that the restaurant does not offer halal options. This miscommunication not only caused considerable disappointment but also left us embarrassed for unintentionally taking our Muslim friend to a non-halal establishment for her surprise birthday lunch. While understanding that mistakes can happen, accurate information is crucial, especially when it concerns dietary preferences. This incident significantly affected our dining experience and could potentially impact the trust of your diverse clientele. We hope this feedback prompts an internal review to prevent similar miscommunications in the future. Despite this unfortunate incident, we appreciate the ambience and service provided by your restaurant. We hope steps are taken to address this issue, ensuring a more seamless and accurate communication process.

Lovely ambiance great for an evening out

We booked a table for 2, didn't like where we were situated, didn't get moved. Satay chicken was cold and hard. Our waiter was lovely, really impressed with the note in the ladies bathroom for the dating girls. Overall, enjoyed it but generally not really impressed.

A wait of 15 minutes to get your drink. Staff looked exhausted. It was a Thursday night It’s a beautiful entrance but the crowd is very look at me… I’m drinking a cocktail 🍸 I had a mojito and it was like a kids slushy 🍧. I loved how they put the ice in the drink with their hands. Classy 👀 Not one for me but with little choice in Watford its popular

First visit to The Florist.. what a delight! Visually it’s one of the prettiest places I’ve ever dined at. There were a lot of wows! The waiting staff were polite and our food was served quickly and was delicious. Pretty as a picture!

I have been here a few times for brunch and can honestly say it has gone so downhill. The brunch menu used to be amazing, you could choose smaller plates so you could have a few things to try. The brunch menu is now TINY...

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I've ever been. The decor is decent and has the right vibe, but the food was truly awful. One of us had salmon that came out burnt! How do you actually burn salmon? The satay...

Beautiful restaurant with pretty decor. Service slow, abrupt and generally made to feel like a hassle. Wine glasses brought to table soaking wet and we had to dry them with our napkins. Food dry and portions tiny for the cost. Wouldn’t return.

Gorgeuous place, very good job in the interior , perfect for date night. iits more of a one time thing but staff is lovely.

First of all I cannot fault the lady that served us. It is the menu that lets this place down, it previously had some interesting options, such as the goats cheese board, crispy rice balls etc. The hanging kebabs were a decent portion and now the new build your own thing is tiny with a pathetic excuse for a ‘salad’ on the side. Also limited options for someone with a nut allergy, you can’t even have the chicken! Bring back the old menu!! 🙏🏻

I've previously had 2 very pleasant experiences at The Florist over the past year and as such, went back for my 3rd a few days ago. I was rather surprisingly let down this time, whilst I can appreciate seasonality on the menu, there was a certain charm the place had which didn't seem there anymore. Food was good but not as exceptional as it was before. Similar flavours but not executed to the same degree as before. Portion sizes are standard. Dessert was always my favourite and again it was the star. 6.5/10 Service was attentive...to a degree. We asked for a number of things and these were forgotten fairly quickly. When waving the server over again, it seemingly jogged their memory and through brought forth what we had asked for. They were kind and friendly otherwise. 6/10 For 2 people, this ended up costing about £90 with starters, mains, desserts and a couple non-alcoholic drinks. Whilst I don't think the price is exorbitant, it matched this quality before. Not this visit however. Potentially this is due to young staff yet lacking experience but something needs to change to bring back that spark they had before.

We went for brunch after seeing some amazing reviews about the place on social media. The place looks amazing and even entering the main door you can smell the floral theme going on However the excitement was short lived as the service warmth and food was average. The brunch menu has limited vegetarian options and can't get any custom orders. We wanted just bread and egg for our kids. Go there for amazing photos and possibly great drinks, we didn't have any but looked like a great bar.

Shocking food behind belief ! Booked a table for 10 for my daughters birthday! I had the lamb kofte was supposed to be a kebab well what come out was 6 tiny meatballs with a few soggy bits of pepper ! Fries were awful ! My son had the fish and chips overcooked is an understatement!! If you dropped it ,it would have broke the floor ! My wife had satay with coconut rice. chicken was dry and fatty!! And that’s just 3 different meals god knows what the rest of the menu is like !! Very overpriced for what it was I’m not usually one for complaining but it was a big disappointment from the last time I went there! It’s seems like it’s changed hands ! Also has a different vibe! Just thought people need to know before they waste their money!!

Over priced and poor service. A very bad experience

I came here for my sisters birthday and had the best service the whole team were super friendly and helpful the whole time! Especially the manager cheyanne (didn’t get the spelling) she went above and beyond for us helping me with the cake and always having a smile which is just so nice to nice!

We enjoyed a lovely meal together which included Sunday Roasts. Beautifully cooked. There were many groups enjoying the relaxed, yet luxurious decor and all seemed to enjoy themselves. There was a delay in completing a drinks order as it was difficult to get noticed, but all the team worked hard to ensure we were happy which we are grateful for. Always a good experience!

Service is a little slow, but over really nice place. They have an outdoor area too for those nice days, if you have hayfever take a tablet before arriving.

This is my second visit to the florist and it’s gone downhill since I last went. They’ve changed the menu so there aren’t many vegetarian options now. The one main vegetarian option was a katsu curry which I found very greasy and overpriced considering it doesn’t come with any salad and tasted quite bland as well. The starter of arancini was very strange and came with mushy peas. The grills are much smaller than the grills they used to do, it also arrived on a oven tray rather than the extravagant and impressive hanging skewer they are known for. They also used to have other vegetables alongside the meat, but now it was just pepper. The wine was alright but overpriced at £25 a bottle for the cheapest one which didn’t taste great. Overall, the meal was overpriced for what we got and nothing stood out about the food or wine. The service was alright but again, not anything extraordinary for the price.

Went a few days after new year and the place was bubbling. I loved the decor from the entrance to the hall, everywhere was beautiful. The food also didn’t disappoint. Located on high street, automatically means no parking space except you park at Atria. Our waitress was very polite and took some photos for us. I’ll definitely be returning for some more. One would hope for a little more welcome on entering the restaurant. Instead we were complained to about the traffic and football and how that had delayed everyone's reservations. We were 3 minutes early ourselves for our booking. We were led to our table, thankfully our 6th person wasn't able to join as they wouldn't have fit between the table and the wall behind the chair. Without going into detail and having already spoken to our waiter, they know what went wrong with the service. The food is good but portions are small. The music doesn't reflect the aesthetic of the restaurant and was so loud that our waiter couldn't even hear us to order.

Having been here a few times i feel the food quality goes down everytime i go. The venue itself is lovely but I think that is the last time for me. Lots of better options in watford for less money and food is better. Menu...

Sad to be leaving a negative review, but doing so in the hopes that they try to get back to their previous standards. They used to do a brilliant brunch. Great variety for "build-your-own" meal (especially for veggies/vegans) and good value. We would have gone more often, but the quality and value were reflected in the popularity and you couldn't get a weekend booking unless you reserved well in advance. Today, we booked on the way there and the restaurant was virtually empty. The menu has been whittled down to next to nothing what was served was average at best. Real shame. Watford has so few good quality restaurants, it's a shame that The Florist has decided it doesn't want to be one of them anymore.
