Roosters Piri Piri in Watford

I ordered 3 chicken rice boxes and 2 spicy rice. When i opened the boxes, each of them looked like they were sent as free food. As if I haven’t paid the full amount for them. Not even half of the boxes were full and the chicken rice boxes had maximum 2 chicken strips cut into very small pieces to make them look like a good portion. I have pictures of the food. How can you serve such small quantities! This is not a charity. Paid full amount to receive this? Shame! Called them and nobody answered.

The Wraps I ordered are so dry that I can't swallow it no matter how much I chew. I wonder what went wrong when cooking them. Taste wasn't great either.

The staff is not good. Work slowly and his always in phone calls. Food is ready but food is not given.

Just to let the restaurant the chicken was very disappointing, very salty and burnt. Wasn’t happy at all

The regular guy who works in there is so unhygienic he was preparing the food with his bare hands picking lettuce with his left hand picking tomatoes with his right hand all sort it’s normal. Clearly the business does not care about the hygiene training provided to their staff it’s horrific absolutely horrendous. This guys was touching money pressing buttons on the till, on his phone it is disgusting.

Go to pepes next door, they are similarly priced plus they have you the mere basics, these fellas are so tight with everything, chilli doesn’t come as standard

They don’t give chilly sauce as standard, charge you extra , stay away

My order hasn’t arrived , been waiting 90 minutes, really bad service, sack the useless driver

The rice did not have enough chicken and portion was not of reasonable size. The burger meat tasted like rubber and burnt did expect more salad and onion et cetera. The cheese halloumi was also like rubber and chewy. Not edible had to discard more than 2/3 of burger.

Delivered a chicken wrap instead of a haloumi wrap

I ordered my chicken wrap in flavour hot but guys make a like when you eat teste only chicken I never ever eat rooster piri piri before do you job properly if you don't like it don't do it kk it's a waste of money

Thought I'd try it as I remember the roosters in Hayes being decent. Food arrived stone cold (no exaggeration) made the wrap hard, took a few bites of everything and the flavour was there, but due to it being cold I didn't enjoy enough to finish anything, fries were skin on fries which are better than regular usually and if hot it's a shame they was cold, I think the meal would have been enjoyable as the flavour from what I did eat was good.

Very late, I’ve ordered at 17,50, got the confirmation of the order at 16,57, then delivery time was 1725-1735 which was fine but then another delivery time 17,45- 1800 then another delivery time 1815- 1830. I’ve got the food at 1830

The packaging needs to be changed. Twice now we have had the sauce leak through the paper packaging. Once the bag exploded on the carpet as we were bringing it in from the front door, the second (today), the bag exploded on me and the kitchen floor. Food is excellent, so apart from the packaging issue, I would recommend.

The food was cold and I was not given the correct food. The chicken was not cooked well and was topped with so much sauce it was overpowering. The chips were cold and I was given only one portion.

Roosters never disappoint. Their chips are always hot, crispy, and delicious. Best ones in Watford. Intelligently delivered in paper bags to let steam out. Delivery is always fast and on time. Their rice and chicken deal is my favourite in the menu, and it tastes great.

Delivery was earlier than expected which was good. But the food itself was satisfactory. Ordered 7 meals yet no tissues were provided. Also the chicken & rice was not upto the standard I expected either.

Very late considering I only live under a mile away, ice cold!!

The driver never turned up with the food. Called restaurant after my order was more than 15 mins late. They said the driver left with the food 15 mins ago. Waited another half an hour before calling again. They said it’s been almost an hour and there’s nothing they can do about it that the driver hasn’t showed up yet.

Had to wait for 15 minutes because the cashier was busy doing his thing. And had leave because he was not interested in taking orders - very uncomfortable seats. Management - please train your staff on basic customer service skills.

Their chips are always AMAZING!! Just crispy and perfect. I also love the rice menu that comes with chicken. Never dissapointed with Roosters.

Decent meal, fresh, tasty wings.... Hot crispy fries. Burger was nice, decent chicken, not hot, still warm though.... I'd def order again.

Order here all the time and it's usually great, my food this time was completely burned though.

Order delivered 2 and a half hours after ordering, no reason why driver was taking so long. Restaurant little help, just told me to keep waiting. Obviously all the food was very cold after 2 hours, justeat very, very little help as well. Terrible ordering experience all round, making me rethinking this entire website

Nice amount of sauce for the rice to soak up, delicious food, decent portion for the price. Can't go wrong with their rice box meal 😋

Yummy halloumi wrap. Had it made for take away. Was hot and tasted fresh. Halloumi was really nice and not very chewy or hard. It melted in the mouth. Portion was perfect. I felt stuffed after eating it with a side of fries as well. First time eating from here. Will visit again to try out new options. Staff were fast at serving and food was served quick as well. Hygiene and cleanliness was maintained in store. Options for both veg and non-veg eaters.

The chicken was absolutely unfresh and had the burned grill taste, it was sauce inside the burger but the sauce didn’t have any taste ! Really poor !

Price has gone up, quality has gone down. Always forget the peri salt on chips despite charging more. Portion sizes now smaller and chicken is dry! Used to be smothered in sauce.

The food was good but woke up with a stomach hurting, was told everything is gluten free ordered chicken wrap meal checked allergy advice and its not, you should train your staff to at least follow the allergy advice and stop giving wrong information to people with gluten allergy.

One of my favourites. I used to pay £14.23 for 12 buffalo wings, 2 sides and a wrap, so so delicious. Unfortunately the price has gone up by £4, I don't think I will order any time soon.

The chip portion was non existent and didn’t add my halloumi to the pitta sporran ther than that food was really good

The lamb wrap was terrible, they kept lamb kebab which i hate, can’t even eat it , the burger on the other hand was nice.

Yummy yummy. The best peri peri chicken I have had for months. The corn on cob was grilled exactly what it needed and came with butter. What a thought touch.

The food was cold and not fresh

Chips were freezing as well as the wrap and i was waiting 40’mins when the driver left the shop would like a refund didn’t eat any of it re heated it in microwave and it was awful.

My food arrived very late due to the driver saying that he had to change his tire ( which i wasn't informed about)!! The food was cold and spilt everywhere in the bag! I refused to take it to which the driver said he will ask the takeaway to re-order and send it out again. I called the restaurant soon after who confirmed that they didn't recieve a call from the driver! I found the restaurant staff very unhelpful , rude, showing no sympathy whatsoever saying we can't do anything, we just make the food and give it to the driver and said that i had to call just eat to re-order rather than them re-sending the order out again! I couldn't get through to customer services at just eat and didn't fancy waiting another whole hour for my food! This happened at another takeaway some time ago via just eat and they were so apologetic and re-sent the order again within 10 minutes! Extremely disappointed with the service from this takeaway and will NOT be ordering again from here. Very disappointed and dissatisfied customer! I strongly recommend that you do NOT order food from here!!!

Food took nearly an hour to arrive. Driver got lost multiple times, went to the wrong address. All food was cold.

The restaurants food quality is usually very good and im quite pleased with it , but today the food was cold and tasted different. Very disappointed.

It was delivered on time but food was pathetic and i really had to through it away as it wasn't cooked properly and trust me this is the second time i had to use it and it's disgusting. I was so hungry as i was doing 15 hour shift and i had to ear halal food but m so much annoyed and angry that i wasted my money.

This place has gone downhill. Service is rubbish and prices have gone up and quality has gone down. I've been suffering with severe food poisoning from the disgusting peri peri burger I bought from here. Do not waste your money!

I ordered with uber eats, grilled buffalo chicken wings. The portion was super large, very hot because the food was put on 2 special bags so as not to cool down. I was super impressed by the quality of the food , the way it was packed , the perfect taste and how fast it was delivered. I will order more food from this Restaurant, thank you.

When we phoned Roosters at 12.20 we were told that our food has been waiting for 20minutes already, food was delivered at 12.30 and it was already cold. Box of salad for £2.49 would be good for my 4 years old child and costed rooster no more thank £0.40 - 2 cherry tomatoes, a bit of red onion and a bit of lettuce - no sauce. Very disappointed.

Whole order was incorrect. Restaurant tried to blame driver but order number was correct, said there was nothing they could do. Won't order from again.

Awful food tonight. Food was not hot on arrival. Bag was wet and soggy. Chicken smelled and tasted off. Chips had so much salt it could kill someone. Not good at all. Food all binned. Not impressed!

I ordered x2 beef wraps and I got x2 lamb wraps. We don’t like kofte hence why we ordered beef and also the beef is more expensive.

The use of quality ingredients for the low price point is unmatched!! The Peri Peri is Flavoursome and the Chicken succulent! I am definitely impressed with the food😉

I ordered from there some weeks ago and found a string of hair in my food, when I rang them they said there is no driver there to have the food delivered. I eventually managed to get my meal. I ordered another meal from them just now and asked for no mayonnaise as I allergic. There was mayonnaise in my food and I got given the same excuse.. they will credit me with a meal another time. Service and food is terrible. There was no apology and he put the phone down on me.

I ordered half chicken extra hot and rice but it tastes like mild and it was a baby chicken though and they didn't even put cutlery. Only good thing was that the delivery was quick

I'm sorry but the kid's wrap was missing, the sweet potato chips were cold and the corn was burnt. This was not a successful order.Usually quite nice food, so wondering what happened?
