Wagamama in Sevenoaks

Very disappointing this evening to hear of a rule change at Wagamama Sevenoaks. No longer able to order add ons to your dishes unless it's with another main course. Won't be visiting again

Waited over 15 minutes for a pre booked collection. Other food ordered and collected in time now cold. Happens every time with this place. No apologies just made to wait. Food is always good and staff as friendly as they can be.

Today was awful. We sat outside because of the weather. The waiters didn’t seem to appreciate the fact we wanted to sit outside… cutlery slung on the table asked for drinks which didn’t turn up we felt abandoned. Last time we came here the guy wearing stripy trousers gave us an amazing service tho so pheraps it’s just the people on todays shift.

Foods alright but the service is terrible and there are often waiting times. Most staff seem to be kids from the local school too busy gossiping to serve you. The managers are slightly better but is obvious they can't hire anyone decent to staff this branch. Shame really, I've been to some very slick Wagamamas in the past - but I will never go here if I can help it.

It was my first time visiting this branch on my lunch break! I must say Louis’s customer service has been exceptional! He has been been very calm and understanding throughout as well as prioritising my order first as I had very limited time left. Food was very nice too. Thank you once again! Will definitely be coming back here soon and highly recommended this place👍🏻

I went there over a weekend for a lunch with my wife and I have been to many wagamama but I didn't like the flavour at this one. I ordered my regular menu but the taste was not good, I am not sure on how it can happen but I was surprised with the flavour. I definitely won't be going there again ever.

We absolutely love Wagamama. We visited the Sevenoaks branch today after years as we usually go to Bromley branch. We had the usual chilli squid. Chicken gyoza, the new rice squares and I tried the new duck dish which was absolutely beautiful however, the portion size of the squid and duck dish were tiny with about 8 pieces of squid. Also my girls had the usual mini katsu the chicken breast was TINY, I did mention it to the waiter and her response was ‘ I can bring you out some more chicken it’s £4 a piece’ I kindly declined! Seriously Wagamama £18 for a small bowl of noodles and a bit of crispy duck. It is a fast food restaurant. I will be going back to the Bromley branch where I hope the portion sizes have remained!

Used to love this place but last 2 visits have not been good. Service poor although restaurant wasn't busy. Food, just as poor, lacking in flavour, steak bad both times, price has gone up but quality has gone right down. I gave it a 2nd chance & left it a couple of months appart, will not go back now. Bromley Wagamama is far superior, Sevenoaks you need to sort it out.

Kimchi good, salty edamame fine but ramen disaster. Overcooked noodles, broth absolutely boring... Chicken one ok but beef. Asking that price for such a low quality is not wise. Remember original wagamama ramen was good.... This one is cheap. Staff smiling but meals came 10min from each other... Sorry, not acceptable.

Best food ever! I have the chicken Katsu curry and it is amazing!

Had high hopes for Wagamama Sevenoaks as my family and I normally go to Bromley. Unfortunately we will not be back, the food was good however the service was shockingly poor. The staff that served us seemed unbothered and the woman I believed was the manager lacked self-awareness as she was having an extremely loud conversation at the table behind us (approx 15 mins) and it dominated the restaurant. It’s lovely to have staff that enjoy their jobs and talking to customers however, not at the expense of ruining other customer experiences.

Made a quick stop for lunch at this branch over the weekend. I’ve got to say it’s a bit of a hit and miss with Wagamama sometimes but this branch performed well. Food (I’d say Japanese-Thai fusion) was great and customer service is one of the best around- attentive and a friendly lot.

I am not a fan. Was a hit and miss experience throughout our visit.

We had another terrific meal at Wagamama this time in Sevenoaks. Food as always was delicious, we were looked after really well and kept a pair of expensive gloves to one side that I had inadvertently left behind. Thank you.

Popped into Wagamama today to meet up with friends. Very welcoming staff. Food choice excellent. We were served by Jade. A delightful young lady who was extremely helpful.

Good food and very attentive service. Finn was especially helpful, with menu selections. Food served in good time and served nice and hot. The meal was very reasonably priced.

My wife and I just love Wagamama's especially at lunch time, great quick service, I have to say and wonderful tasting food 😋

Lunched there with friends. The starter dishes were fine, but the yaki udon was dire. Wife thought hers was vegetarian there was so little protein. Mine had a strange taste, the veg seemed overcooked. A poor plate of food. I’ve been eating at Wagamama in London since the mid 90’s, first time I’ve used the one in Sevenoaks. Had we seen the other poor reviews we would have eaten elsewhere.

We come here often, and really enjoy it every time! Sadly, this evening was a completely different experience and we are reluctant to return! I understand places get busy, I work in hospitality myself and have sympathy for busy periods and how it does get stressful. I must say, the girl who was seating/hosting was lovely and really helpful, but the other interactions with staff were not so great. Rudeness and short/ snappy answers from staff is something I will never understand or sympathise with. The girl with brown hair who was running food this evening ( Friday 23rd ) was awfully rude and slammed the plates down without saying anything. And our waitress Jasmine was rude and sarcastic towards us when we asked after 15 minutes if we could have a menu! However, food was spot on as always. Bring back Finn!! He was always lovely and nothing was ever too much hassle! Very disappointing wagas!!:(

Allegedly Wagamama (わがまま) is Japanese for "self-indulgent", "self-centred", “picky”, “fussy”, "disobedient", "wilful" or “thinking about yourself and your own needs instead of others”. Some define it to mean “naughty child”. Their philosophy is said to be based on kaizen which means "continuous improvement". We went to the Wagamama in Sevenoaks for our Valentine’s lunch. The staff were polite and helpful, hence this review is not a reflection on them but rather on the ordering system operated. We were hoping to have a “romantic” lunch together to celebrate the Valentine’s day. Duly the orders were taken, using the electronic system. The drinks came then my wife’s lunch followed soon after but there was no sign of my order. This could have been noticed at that point and rectified but it wasn’t . After my wife had finished her lunch, on enquiring it transpired that my order never went through. Eventually my lunch arrived, mostly bean sprouts with few noodles. All in all an unpleasant experience. One hopes that this is a one off “naughty child” and the norm is a "continuous improvement".

Travelled from Medway to this location for a Valentine's lunch. Placed our order . Mine arrived promptly but my partners meal didn't so I offered him some of mine. We had been delayed in traffic due to a major accident so we were starving! We waited and waited but my partners meal never arrived so we alerted a staff member who said she would investigate. Twenty minutes later whilst I had finished my meal we were told there had been an error and the second meal would be another ten minutes. We were given complimentary drinks but to be honest we didn't really want them . Eventually the second meal arrived . On Valentine's day of all days we wanted to eat together but didn't have that privilege and to be honest the staff were polite enough but not exactly empathetic. Really disappointed 😞

Out of 5 trips, 3 times we’ve been waiting over 35 mins from ordering to getting the food (multiple times the kids food 30 mins after adult food - once our 4 year old actually fell asleep and fell off the seat). I just don’t know what is so hard that they cant serve people in the restaurant.

Wonderful food! Lots of options to choose from, vegan, vegetarian and allergen free. My favourites are the crispy chilli mushrooms, king oyster mushroom skewers,mixed mushrooms buns, and the Karen burosu ramen. Highly recommend!

I popped in for a meal after work with my daughter. 5* rating all round. The staff working last night were exceptional. One particular manager was so kind helping us use mu daughters voucher

We had an excellent meal the other week and our server Hannah went above and beyond to ensure our time here was perfect. Massive thank you to Hannah for always being attentive, happy, positive and overall a great server!

One of my favourite chain places. Always bustling, always great service and the food is never disappointing. Accept it is a chain and fast food and enjoy it!!!

My dad ordered me a wagamamas takeway this evening Which was very kind of my dad He's the best dad ever And I have the besr mum ever too When I ate it was very delicious I really enjoyed every taste of it I know it was spicy but I stil enjoyed it which is the most important part I can handle a little spice in it I was only little bit spicy it was not too spicy which was good I think it just how it is I think just how you do your takeways But don't worry I still liked your food no matter if it's spicy or not I'm being a good boy and I'm going to respect how it because I understand how long it must have took you to cook it Because I'm going to keep this review kind and lovely and not leave one complain because I wanted to be kind to you because I'm not that type of person who would complain about anything Me and my sister mollie really like your food you do I'm glad you chose to order wagamama because your food is amazing and tasty and also very yummy You have the best food in the whole wide world Your food gets 5 out of I do thank your staff for bringing our food takeway to our house

I came here yesterday and back again today it was that nice. The service is very fast, the servers are incredibly attentive and the food was fresh and tasty at healthy calorie ranges. The food came quickly and the cocktail was delicious. The children’s menu provided exactly what all children like in terms of food and was perfect for their tastebuds (not over flavoured). I came yesterday as a date night with my partner and found a 2 seater intimate seating table which was lovely and tonight with my 4 year old at the larger tables where families were sat. The squid was really lovely too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent marriage of tastes. I brought a vegetarian (and fish) friend who had never been before and she was delighted with her experience!! We were well looked after, and those edamame beans with garlic and chilli were as more-ish as ever!!!

I love Wagammas but this branch is disaster. I've visited 4 times in the last year and none of those visits went well. The staff all seem to deliberately avoid making eye contact with you, hide out of site, and don't bother checking up on you; It makes getting service a frustrating process. This last time my partner orders her usual Raman and specifically requests no, chili, and nothing spicy, just as she's done a dozen times before. When the order arrives its drowned in chili, It was so bad I couldn't even swap meals with her and when I tell them this their response is "that s just how it comes." (no it ain't. I can damm well see the chili in the bowl.) We're not going back and we recommend you don't either.

We came here for a quick dinner before an evening book event at Sevenoaks Bookshop. We always like the food, they have a new menu which was lovely. However Bella who served us was AMAZING. She was efficient but we were not rushed, she answered any questions, made recommendations to tweak our food to our taste. She was also funny, friendly with a dose of cheeky that made the whole evening both memorable and delightful. As staff go she was the best we've ever had at a Wagamama"s anywhere we've been. Thank you Bella and it would be more stars if we were allowed :)

They seem to be unable to cope with even a slightly raised level of business, particularly the host on the front, she made it quite a chaotic experience. For what is already teetering on the side of overpriced chain food, they could at least make the dining experience smooth and not rushed

My last day working in Sevenoaks, decided to try this branch out. It was such a good choice. The reason I can give 5 stars on service with confidence, I had a problem with my food...replacement in front of me within 7mins (yes I timed it lol)

The food was average and expensive. Chicken and prawn pad thai contained crispy onions but no peanuts and was pretty bland. Broccoli in the wok greens was raw. Chicken dumplings were tasteless. I think this has establishment has moved from being about the quality of the food to cater for youngsters. The music was really loud and it felt like being in a nightclub rather than restaurant. We couldn’t really hear what the waitress was saying. The lady who served us was really nice, but when the side arrived we didn’t have any cutlery and we then had some randomly dumped on out table. There wasn’t enough, so we had to ask again. They want you to pay your bill by some barcode scanning system whatever that is. We asked for a normal bill, which was no problem at all but there was confusion when we wanted to split the bill in half and pay with two cards whilst adding a tip. And finally, £7.80 for a bootle of beer! 1.5/5

Never had a bad dining experience at this eatery. I just want to say that the customer service in this outlet is of the highest of standards. The staff were polite attentive and on point with their service. The food was top class as well and worth the price. Very satisfying experience.

It could potentially be a nice place. However if you are more than one the food ordered arrive just randomly so when your partner is about to finish what he got you are about to start! Also the place is way too noisy. We could barely talk to each other. I understand they want to keep the atmosphere informal but it’s close to be painful to be there. Finally the bill for what you get is quite high. Used to be better, both the place and food.

Wasn't explained that the food would be served as it's cooked, so main course arrived before sharing plate. That was a little odd and should have been made clear. Otherwise, good was good, walked in on a Saturday night no reservation. Overall pretty good.

Food was soggy and expensive but fast to make and tasty. My order was messed up but quickly fixed. And the free green tea is good.

Really enjoy eating at Wagamama’s, I must have been Japanese in another life. Anyway food is good staff on the ball. I tested my waitress (Mary) and asked if I could change the desert to another sauce , she was happy to see if the cooks could accommodate my change. (They did.) I enjoyed my ice cream so much I forgot to take a photo before I started it.

We prefer Wagamamas at Bluewater, from an atmosphere viewpoint, but that's just our own preference and the Sevenoaks branch still has a great atmosphere. The food is good, with lots of vegetarian and healthy options. My main criticism is that they have a policy of delivering your food one person at a time, so if I visit with my wife, and get my meal first, it starts going cold whilst we wait for my wife's meal to arrive some time later.

We had a take out. We had a teriyaki steak soba. Which we always have. It was nothing like it normally is. The noodles were all mushed up and there wasn’t any sauce.

Food was great. Service was on the slow side, especially as it was quite quiet. They were all polite and friendly but difficult to get their attention if needed.

Good standard high street restaurant . Our server hanna is amazing very knowledgeable and bubbly person . Good asian food to try.

Always a great place and a great time

Good food but hopeless delivery service. On 2 occasions I have ordered food and never received it. The delivery service never phoned to say they had trouble delivering or couldn't find the address. They were happy to provide a refund but were't concerned about the loss of business or wasting over 1.5 hours of their customers time. Overall rating - food good, service attitude deplorable.

I liked Pad Thai with udon noodles and ginger.

I’m only giving Wagamama 5 star rating this time because one of your staff (waiters) saved the day with their customer service care ,but I still need to raise the issue here , came here with a friend and their food came out and by the time mine came out they had finished their meal and I was not impressed, slow service and my friend had asked for a sauce and it never came my food came when they had finished , the chef had been told what had happened and they removed my main from the billing but I would absolutely prefer a normal service where we both eat at the same time not watch one finish their meal and wonder what is happening Lack of coordination and communication but I was really happy with the server’s attitude I hope he goes far

Delicious food, we all enjoyed the chilli squid, soya beans and different Donburi 's. Nice to be offered green tea on more than one occasion as usually you have to ask then it takes such a long time to arrive. Not this time, well done Sevenoaks. Yum.

Right from the start we didn’t feel welcome by the guy who ‘greeted’ us. No smile, no eye contact. Didn’t get any better throughout-food was bought to the table in a perfunctory way, no interaction whatsoever. My husband asked for his Jasmine tea to be topped up with hot water as it was a bit strong-this was refused on the basis that he would have to charge for another tea. When he complained about this he didn’t say that much, just that he was following rules and brushed us aside with a ‘sorry guys’ in a sarcastic way. The food was actually good and we enjoyed it but we will only remember the poor service.

Becky and Breck smashed out the service tonight. So friendly and accommodating. The food was also on point and the best chilli squid I’ve had in a LONG time. Will be back sooon!

A brilliant wagamamas, staff all very friendly and food excellent. Steak yaki soba cooked particularly well. Love the new chicken gyoza ramen and doughchi :)

Disappointing Visit 😞 Service: The main staff member that helped usxwas uninterested, no smile and didnt want to be there (very poor). Not the same for all staff to confirm. Food: Katsu Curry was tasteless, not sure how this can go wrong. Ginger Chicken Udon had barely any chicken. Atmosphere: Staff were eating Pizza Express 🍕 on the restaurant floor. 🧐 I am a loyal Wagamama fan and I eat at other restaurants regularly, this restaurant needs an overhaul, I did visit this restaurant years ago and had similar issues with food quality.

greeted unenthusiastically at the door after a considerably long wait. Then had to wait a long time to order food as our server was more interested on the happenings around what I presume is the staff eating area. After waiting this time food wasn’t to standard and tasted bland and dry pad tai had nothing to it and my daughters allergy wasn’t considered the server simply said are you sure it’s an allergy. Also upsetting to overhear said member of staff blatantly disrespecting another woman inside of the restaurant to his fellow team members. The word will be spread and we will not be returning.

Lovely staff, and delicious ramen! Highly recommend the pork belly ramen. The dessert (chocolate brownie option) was a bit small for the price, but tasted great! I will definitely be coming back.

Known for being a bit pricey but the food is good, service a fast, the food as it is cooked for you comes when it is ready so we got our food about 7-8 minutes apart but all OK.. Nice experience... Oh and it is a bench seat and table so elbows in!!

I was so surprised by the number of really good sounding dishes for vegetarians and vegans. I found it hard to choose what to have and was very pleased with what I chose. It's obviously a popular place with young people and had a good atmosphere. The service was a little slow but they were pretty busy when we arrived. They even had some decent cider on the menu.

We went in at about 5 p.m after going to the pantomime, got seated quickly, food was tasty and served quickly, there were 8 of us and the cost was very reasonable

Cold uncooked Ramen.... Have been to a lot better locations

Jacob who served my son and his friend this evening, helped with the menu and gave top quality service. My son & friend had a great time, thank you , they will be back with more friends and family.

Great food, quick service, good value

This is the second time we come along to the restaurant yesterday and was disappointed once again. The squid was like rubber , nothing like squid and the curry dish was sent back as it was like a bowl of water. Waggamumma in lakeside is a whole different ballgame. We will definitely not be returning. Food was horrendous.

Great Service. Average food. Would be a five star review if this restaurant chain would serve food as a starter and then main course as ordered as opposed to the food arriving randomly. It's not a unique selling point. It's pretentious, sloppy and arrogant. Why? If you like to have no idea when your starter or main course is going to arrive, this is the place for you!

Always love a Wagamamas - everything we order from there is delicious! Plus great vegan and veggie options too.

I am a usual customer, always very good. Although, I ordered a glass of tap water at the start of my meal and only recieved it (after asking multiple times) when we were finishing.

Poor service. Bad etiquette, Lousy staff. Very limited Vegetarian Food options. We waited in the restaurant and waited at the entrance for 10 minutes before somebody could come and talk to us. After 10 minutes, the staff came and without asking us to sit, spent 15 minutes telling us that there is hardly any vegetarian food and if we are still interested in coming in. His subtle message was that don't eat here - not sure if it was due to racism or in general it was like this. We said to him that we want to eat whatever is available and can we sit and then only he took us in.  Finally, we ordered the food and advised them that in our food we do not want any onions. The staff said no problem they will ensure this. The food came, but it was full of onions. We called the staff to show that this has onions.  The staff told us that she had already advised the chef not to put the onions. She took the food away and brought another bowl of food, but this time again onion. We decided to eat and tried our best to take out the onions.  I asked the staff if you can not take care of one simple request how on earth do you address requests when somebody has allergies or is vegetarian?  His simple response was - "Oh apologies, I can give you ice cream for free"

I had grilled duck donburi , and didnt like at all. I had it several times in the past and was ok but today the chef fai. led . I am a bit dissapointed.

It's wagamamas, you know what you are going to get and it is consistent in terms of food, service etc Never gonna set the world alight but can't complain.

We were sorry the wok chef was not there so some dishes were not available. I always find the Sevenoaks restaurant disappointing compared to other Wagamamas. The food was good what we could get. The service was attentive.

After attempting to go out for Sunday lunch but foolishly not booking we were left hunting for somewhere to eat. We thought we’d try a Wagamamas as it’s been recommended by friends many times. We were given a warm welcome and seated promptly. Then we were served by a very helpful guy called Nathan who talked us through the dishes and gave us a good idea of what to get. I can honestly say that we were not disappointed. Had a surprisingly flavoursome and pleasantly satisfying meal. My eyes have been opened and this goes high on my list to return to try the other dishes on offer. Can definitely recommend this place for excellent food and superb service. Well done Nathan and the rest of your team

Always good here but busy. We were seated and served straight away which was great with a 9 month old. Staff attentive and interested.

Our waiter Nathan was so polite and nice, thank you! my girlfriend and me enjoyed a very nice dinner here, we will be back! Vegan options just on point :)

They gave us chili when we asked not to have any. They also acted like nothing happened. They also got our order incorrect which was very annoying.

We came at 8:30pm Sunday night after all other restaurants closed or fully booked. There were plenty seats. We ordered steak fried noodles, rice. Nice. The Portion is not for hungry customer. The payments must through scanning barcode and log in the website and put in details.

While I understand things can be busy. Waiting 20 minutes for 1 green and 1 jasmine tea is to long. Especially when it arrives cold.

With grandparents living in the high street we often walk past wagamama but haven’t heard great things particularly about the Sevenoaks branch. We were really surprised by our previous visit. Just a lunch time meal but food was really nice. Arrived quickly but most notably was service. Servers both Vinna and Holly were great. I base my opinions on a restaurant by the staff they produce especially with a daughter in hospitality. Funny, engaging and genuinely caring is rare in a place that can be considered fast food. We laughed at how we could stay and talk for hours. Now we’ll return as regular customers all due to the staff (and food of course!). The word will be spread amongst friends and family, I’ve learnt to not rule off a restaurant from the opinions of others.

The meal and service was excellent, there’s a guy called Nathan is a legend.Amazing place definitely will be back somebody give Nathan a pay rise I gave him a £40 tip that’s how good he is.

Lovely atmosphere! Lovely guy at front desk with glasses was super helpful as was Jasper our waiter, gave us good drinks reccomendations and was very attentive! 👌🏼 Food lush as always!

I ordered a dish which was priced at £14, and received a bowl which contained 80% rice, 10% meat snd 10% garnish salad. A bottle of beer was £7.50. Absolute robbery and no value for money. Time for consumers to send a message and hold on to their money!!!

As expected clean quick service.

Food was very mediocre, it arrived within couple of minutes which makes me think that the whole thing including rice was microwaved ( taste it like it too ) Tunbridge wells is alot better, and food taste so much nicer. Service was OK. Wouldn’t come back. Ps. I have upset stomach today, so food was defo off!

Took my daughter and a friend, slow service, had to ask for menus, food warm, so we had to ask for 3 more plates. Ramen not great, my last visit months ago the food was full of flavour but this time it just tasted like a stock with chicken, no herbs or kick. Disappointing

We turned up on a Thursday night, it took a while to be given a table despite it being 3/4 empty. Nothing was available on the menu due to no deliveries since the weekend and i was told that I couldn’t have the prawn yaki...

Very nice meal here, with very friendly and attentive staff. The food was all well timed, and hot. The drinks selection has got better, and I noticed a lot more vegan options on the menu. Will definitely visit again. Side note, they seem to do a lot of delivery, but it’s very well organised and doesn’t disrupt the restaurant.

So a table of 11 needed, after a long time of our family needing a fab evening and a chance to catch. This wasn't an issue to the staff and they were all so welcoming and friendly, especially Sunny-she was just amazing and happy to...

I stop going to Wagamama the quality decreases and variety of dishes were less and less….I gave them an other go. I was not impressed l. My noodles did not have flavour or salt. I did not have the choice to have more seasoning since they don’t offer for you. Only you have spicy oil, oil and soya sauce. The service was slow and they did not have all the restaurant full. The table was dirty … you have to pay your own bill via app where you have to put so many details like age, contact number etc etc. basically is kind of self service only they deliver your food to the table.
