Waffle Box in Wakefield

Absolutely disgusting found hair in the waffle , waffles here soggy and ice cream was melted and horrible. Very sickening would not recommended anyone to go here . Felt really sick after wards!!!!!

I would definitely recommend this place. We went for a social event with a large group of friends. The waffles were absolutely delicious, a warm and cosy vibe to the place and overall a great experience! We will be back soon!

Saw this place on instagram and online, excited to attend … dog friendly and special offer where each dog gets a free waffle treat with each paying adult. Venue is cute, bijou and nice environment. Brilliant songs playing, proper step back in time. Dessert waffle was …. Nice. I was expecting a little more oomph based on the reviews but it was just ok. One waffle, one scoop of ice cream, two swirls of squirted cream and two sweets still in wrapper. Didn’t look as good or taste as nice as a similar waffle diner in Rhyl … smaller portion and more expensive. Dogs didn’t get their free waffle treat either, whilst this place was pleasant and the waffle was ok, I personally don’t think I’ll be back this time round … sorry guys, I’ve had nicer elsewhere I’m afraid!

We decided to visit for breakfast on my daughter's birthday - we hadn't told them in advance but when her waffle came there was a candle in it which was such a lovely thought. The waffle and toppings were delicious, as was the banoffee milkshake and there was a great selection on the menu for both savoury and sweet waffles. My daughter also wanted to leave a review following our breakfast visit: "The food was very yummy and the staff were very kind and the restaurant was lovely." We'll definitely be back!

What A Gem of a place to eat! The waffle choice is Amazing! There was so much to choose from I could hardly make my mind up! And the staff are lovely too! It's a charming friendly place and one which I highly recommend!

Cold waffle that resembled eating cardboard. Rude manager stated that all waffles are made fresh so I must be mistaken. Mine clearly wasn't freshly made! Won't be going there again!

I've never tried a waffle before (I know, where have I been haha). A friend and I were in Mold for a craft activity and decided to grab lunch here. The decor inside the cafe is charming, the staff is welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. There were so many fantastic options, we definitely plan on returning!

The waffles were delicious . We had 1 savoury one, and 2 sweet ones. We all devoured them. The decor is lovely and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely return to sample 3 different waffles from the menu!

Unbelievable quality and service and value. The waffles are super light and full of flavour. The coffee is HOT and not tepid like you get from the usual chain coffee shops. Pop in and be greeted with a mellow, fantastic atmosphere and the food and coffee will blow you away.

What a gem of a place. Lovely deco, food is amazing you will never leave hungry and service is friendly and responsive. Top rate never disappointed.

My sister and I came to a wreath making evening at Wafflebox - we shared a savoury and a sweet waffle, which were both delicious, and had some mulled wine. We really enjoyed learning to make our wreaths and we’re very pleased with the results - will definitely be back!

Great breakfast on a cold day, bacon, waffles, maple syrup and coffee in comfortable surroundings. What's not to like?

Oh my goodness! Such a variety of waffle based meals and snacks, and many of them available as gluten free. As someone with gluten intolerance getting acceptable gluten free food can be a hit and miss affair, but I was delighted with what was on offer here. As I came mid afternoon I decided to choose a sweet waffle, and it was all kinds of delicious! Fresh raspberries, raspberry sorbet, cream and white chocolate sauce. Every bite was delicious. It wasn’t cheap, but I felt it was worth the money as a treat. Service was also excellent!

Had an amazing waffle breakfast really enjoyed . Staff is very friendly and plenti of gluten-free choice. Would highly recommend.

Sadly I will no longer recommend waffle box. This is down to the horrendously rude service we received today that put a sour taste on a birthday breakfast. We were a large table that pre ordered and paid a deposit. This was not an issue. When we arrived the server did not acknowledge us or even say hello. We seated ourselves on the large table. After a short while of still no acknowledgement and the server stood behind the counter on a phone, the smallest of our group wanted to go in her high chair. We were struggling with this. Again after a short time of trying this ourselves I asked the server for help. She was stood by the kitchen door at this response and in a rude tone she replied ‘can I just get this order out’ she was then stood there for what would have been enough time to help us! She took the food out, helped us remove the high chair tray and walked away. She then shouted from the kitchen ‘you’re still waiting for two should the chef wait?’ We said no it was fine as they were on our way. At this point no drinks had been asked. Five minutes passed of her in and out of the kitchen and then she brought over a pre order milkshake. No straw. Before the server left I asked if we could order drinks. With a bitter reply we got ‘what do you want’ so we ordered. My son asked for a straw in the middle of the order, she grunted walked away and got him one before returning without word waiting for us to finish. I could continue…. My cousins were visiting from Australia and I was so excited to share Mold with them and this experience was a huge disappointment. Everyone was made to feel uncomfortable for being there and essentially a nuisance throughout it was a very poor experience solely on service. No issues on food. I thought I’d left my phone. When I entered she was finishing cleaning where we had been whilst also chatting to a new person behind the counter about a personal thing. I asked if it had been found? She replied that she hadn’t seen it and turned her back on me to continue the conversation. New customers then helped me have a quick look on the floor and behind cushions. As I left she was still having her chat no acknowledgment. This is why we left no tip and won’t be returning. We are so sad because my boys and I loved coming here for a treat. But my sons birthday breakfast was ruined by someone who lacked basic customer service skills I wrote this in their Facebook page to which they replied sorry to ‘read’ this and asked for my email. Which would have given them a chance to properly respond. Everyone has an off day and staff can be different when management are not around. However there has been nothing since and this response seems to look like they’re actioning this but it’s just rubbed salt in the wound if a horrible experience.

Great choice of sweet and savoury waffles, definitely a menu for everyone, full of lots of great ideas and all sound delicious. I had the southern fried chicken and maple syrup and it was yummy, then I had the biscoff bubble waffle and that was fab, all very tasty. Great menu for food and drinks and attentive staff. A++++

Absolutely worth a visit. Gorgeous little place with friendly staff and divine food! I treated my daughter and her friend to waffles, it was a huge hit and will be back!

Visited for my sisters 16th birthday today and it was brilliant! The waffles are out of this world!! Loved them! Beautifully decorated inside too and reasonably priced. Will be back

We popped in one afternoon after hearing wonderful things from some friends of ours and it did not disappoint. Absolutely amazing food and such lovely service. We felt very welcome and they even went out of their way to run out and pick some Ferrero Rocher up after our daughter ordered it and they had ran out. We would highly recommend you check it out and we will definitely be coming back to try more!

Went in for mothers day with 2 daughters and there mother, really enjoyed it, the food was great, the staff very welcoming.

We visited Waffle Box yesterday for lunch. Wow! What a find! We had a fish finger sandwich waffle and a southern fried chicken waffle and shared, both were delicious. The coffee was really good too. We fancied a sweet waffle for dessert, but decided to be good and so booked to go back today! Great service and a lovely friendly owner too. Looking forward to going back today to try more 😁. Thank you Waffle Box for a really lovely lunch 😋

The food was outstanding if you fancy something different then I suggest a visit to this vibrant little restaurant lovely service and lovely fresh food a little quite and quaint place
