Vujon Indian Take Away in Hastings

Ordered from here a few times now and every time the foods been delicious, and not greasy. Delivery has always been on time and really enjoyed the meal. Recommend highly !

Chicken tikka massala was extremely sweet I had to throw away, butter chicken was full of coconut idk why, terrible place overall

Ordered on line, very straightforward and extensive choice. Delivery was 35 minutes although stated it would be one hour so very good. Food was hot and tasty. Thank you.

Sadly tonight's delivery wasn't very nice as both the lamb balti container and the vegetable curry were both over half full with big chunks of onions .The chicken passanda was awfully over sweet with not much chicken either , mostly sauce. Onion bhajis and naans were cold. The few pieces of lamb that we actually got after sorting through all the onions was very tasty . Considering we also ordered 2 lots of onion bhajis and 2 lots of onion salad, it was most disappointing that the curries were mainly onion as well . Our last 2 orders have been absolutely fine . This one didn't really get much eaten of it . I will try once more but next time I will order over the phone and request that the containers are not overly filled with onions .

Amazing food. Lazy delivery driver who said his car couldn't fit down our road (that pick up trucks and vans often drive down) so had to meet him on the main road. Sent special fried rice when I ordered garlic. Also found a curly hair in our saag paneer, lovely 😅

Third time ordering, was not disappointed. Lamb passanda sauce was well spiced and you could taste the quality of the lamb. Chicken dansack was flavoursome. Arrived on time, piping hot. Delivery driver nice, as ever. Will be back

Usually very very good After a struggle with a phone order with someone I couldn't understand at we waited over an hour for a 20 min delivery and threw the food away. I don't think the usual cooks were working. The chicken wasn't real, it was like a reconstituted soya cheese. Everything was cold. The lamb had a taste of disinfectant on it. I can't possibly order food from them again. I've always recommended vujon . And I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. Shame, it was our favourite

Appalling ordered on line said it would come at 7pm after two phone calls eventually arrived 7.45 never again

I ordered a take away online this evening at 6.58pm and was advised that the food would be delivered within 1 hour. After an hour and 20 minutes there was no sign of the curry, a call was made to the shop and I was advised that a driver had had an accident and the food would be with me in 20 minutes. 20 minutes came and went, still no curry. I attempted to phone the shop and after 57 attempts I finally got through to cancel our order and requested a full refund. Easier said than done!!! Eventually, after 2 hours and a half hours the door bell rang. There on the door step was was the curry and refund. The delivery driver was very apologetic and advised that 2 delivery drivers had broken down. Overall we were very disappointed with the experience and will not be ordering from this take away again.

We have been loyal customers since voujon began trading. But last week we were charged delivery which we never have been before as less than 1 mile away . This evening ordered meal on line for collection, menu says 10% discount for collection which we usually get. On collection had the right money but refused discount as apparently not when ordered on line . None of this stated , apparently its mistake on the website, Not the customers fault . Staff were very rude . Don't understand why they would rather loose customers than honour their promotions.

Normally vujon are spot on but tonight it took them almost 2 hours for a delivery. When i phoned after a hour i was told it was on it's way and would be 10 minutes I phoned again after a further 40 minutes and the guy said would call me back but never did. No apology either I will unfortunately nit use them again

We have been using this restaurant for months but sadly they don’t honour the price that is advertised on their menu if they are busy. Poor show.

Always get a lovely takeaway from here. Food is hot, and delicious. Never order my curry from anywhere else!

Food was terrible. The Biriani was so obviously warmed up old stuff with fresh cooked chicken added. The separate veg curry was not very nice either, in both taste and content of veg. Waiting area was scruffy and unwelcoming. Service was too quick for a biriani.

Awful, vile, disgusting. These people are THIEVES!!! They took an order from me, then I called after 2 hours when it had not been delivered yet, only for them to mumble down the phone, swear at me and then refuse to send out the order and when I asked for at least a refund back, they refused to give me my money back!!!! Disgusting management and awful staff. Please do not give these thieves your money, they literally do not deserve it. Lowest of the low.

Random choice, as not been here in years but wanted a nearby, quick solution to the craving of a spicy curry!! Very impressed, chicken fell apart and full of flavour. Quick service too! Will return

I have used bay spice for many years and due to them messing up my last two orders I decided to try a different curry house. I am so glade Bay spice messed up my order to make me look else where. I can honestly say Vujon has nailed it.. The ingredients and spices used are the best I have tasted. Vujon will now be my weekly curry treat. If you have not tried them you are missing out. Top top food with flavours that taunt your taste buds. Perfection, well done Vujon.

We always order indian takeaway from here, with 25% off over £30 it is very reasonable. The food is always delicious and on time delivery! 100% reccomend.

First time trying this takeaway. Nice distiguished flavours, good portion size, tender meats. Reasonably priced. Our favourite dishes were the King Prawn Laziz, lamp chops and tandoori prawn jalfreezi. Only star lost because the dhaal was slightly bland and onion bhanji a little dry. Otherwise lovely meal, would defo order again. Thanks guys

We have always ordered to Battle many times and have had good service. I wanted to order earlier so phoned to place order and collected. I was shocked when told the amount of the bill. £48 and didn’t get 10% off collection. Horrendous price for 2 starters, 2 sides, 3 standard curries, 1 rice and 1 naan. If I ordered online would have got 25% discount. Thing is their paper menu they give out is out of date but they still charged the online prices. 😟

The food is ok but very small potions the front of house staff have a terrible attitude I made a compliant about the food and then the owner and brother started to do threats toward myself and family. They lack the professionalism and management skills to run a place like that AVOID IF POSSIBLE

TERRIBLE-AVOID AVOID AVOID Ordered dinner at 5.30 for delivery at 7, it turned up but a dish was missing,called and spoke to someone on the phone who was very unhelpful, he said he'd send someone out with a replacement, called at 8 as that hadn't arrived, he said he hasn't got anyone to deliver it, I asked for a refund but was told they don't do refunds and that they'd send it out free on the next order (I won't be ordering from here!!) I was told the manager would ring back but 20 minutes later I'm told he's out on delivery (remember when I said they had no one to deliver mine). Food was mediocre, service is TERRIBLE, really cannot see how this place has a great star rating as it's possible the worst service I've had! Doubt I'll see a refund either.

We thought this was a pleasure. Normally get our food from another nearer Indian but this was better. Chicken Dhansak, onion rice and loads of poppadoms. Perfect!!

This place is awesome! They are so accommodating and helpful. The food always arrives HOT not lukewarm. The flavours on the Chicken Tikka Balti is so good and the chicken just falls to pieces.

Ordered takeaway online early evening this Saturday, delivery arrived just over an hour later, so no issues. Ordered three different curries, The dupiaza was on the watery side. Small portions with minimal chicken, which was a it dry in them, but tasted fine. The naan breads are tiny more the size of a pita bread but tasty. If you hungry make sure you order some starters & sides with the curry. 25% Discount if you order online but to be fair I would be very disappointed with the portion size of I paid full price. Will continue to make the journey to either Little India or Mowgli in Bexhill both are far superior and set meal works out similar price.

Rang this takeaway service when staying in the premier inn in Hastings ! They were so attentive and delivered promptly as promised and communicated very well to my needs ! The fella that served me even new the area where I had come from and the chef that used to be in my home town was now in Hastings ! It was delicious and hot and good value for money ! My only regret is I didn’t find this place earlier as been been visiting this area for years ! Highly recommend can’t wait to order again and I will be ! Excellent !!!!

I order from Vujon regularly. They have the usual items you'd expect but I always get them to make me a particularly hot curry. The food has always been great and the service is genuinely friendly and polite.

We were informed when ordering the food it would be an hour wait which we were fine with. Once it had already been an hour and 15 minutes they called us to inform us it would be another 15 minutes to wait. 45 minutes later our food arrived. 2 hours to wait for food is just ridiculous. We understood they must be busy so we didn’t keep pestering them with calls and in all fairness they did offer us 30% off our next order but it doesn’t change my disappointment in their lack of communication with us. HOWEVER when the food arrived my god it was amazing. Definitely the best Indian food around here just annoying about the wait! Would probably eat in next time instead.

So bad I have been compelled to write my first ever review.(Take away)Arrived on time, sauce all over the contents as a sauce we didn’t order was open in the delivery. Lamb chops (appetiser- not the main we ordered) - 2 bones and one bone with a two bites of meat, a lot of raw onions. Eye wateringly salty. Garlic naan - stone cold, stale, no detectable garlic. Like leather. Lamb tikka appetiser- on a bed of almost raw onions, incredibly saltyChicken korma - ok, have had similar from a supermarket own-brand jar.Spring rolls - bin after 1 bite. I called to complain about the lamb chops and naan. I was hung up on before I had the chance to speak about the naan. Therefore I am compelled to review. What a waste of money and calories. (I see being hung up on is a common occurrence!)

Stayed at a campsite in Crowhurst and phoned the restaurant with a delivery order, which arrived really quickly. The person who took our order was very polite and helpful, as was the delivery driver who called to let us know when he was 10 minutes away. The food was very good, and was still really hot, with the added bonus of complimentary poppadum's.. We were very pleased with the service, and also found the price to be very reasonable. If ever we stay in the area in future we would definately order again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The driver was half an hour late and we had to meet him at another house down the road as he said ‘he couldn’t find us’ and when we tried to give him directions he just said ‘come and meet me I can’t find it’. So rude! The food was disgusting, tasteless & dry. No spices at all, I had a byriani and it was just boiled rice and dry lamb. The vegetables in the curry were undercooked and almost raw to the point where you couldn’t eat them! I phoned the restaurant to speak to the manager to make a complaint and all I received was verbal abuse. We had a party of 10 and half of us, including myself who is 5 and a half months pregnant..had bad stomach cramps, sickness & diarrhoea from the food. Absolutely vile and will NEVER EVER order from here again! I suggest to avoid at all costs.

Stopped here as we also went to the Batman Grill opposite and had the vegetarian meal here.Looked at a couple of reviews before going in and they seemed to be fine.Didn’t look at the Food Rating though which is a ‘1’ rating, which you can look up yourselves and I was shocked to see this afterwards - the Batman Grill has been a ‘5’ rating for many years but I should have checked Vujon beforehand. The food was ok - not too many flavours - onion bhajis were good in my opinion.

Havs used this takeaway around 20 times and on a few occasions some of the dishes rant that great .Had a delivery yesterday and the two keema nabs where dry and no meat just wgat looked like a dry brown paste , these should be soft and moist meat so did not eat , also the popadoms where not crisp like they had been around a while .It seems the quality is dropping as in the early days every thing was well cooked so they can do it

Saw the reviews and thought I would give this place a go. Took an absolute age to arrive, the rice and naan bread wasn't what I ordered. Food was cold and really low quality. Never ordering from here again. Shocking.

We went to place an order over the phone, and as we live in the next town over the gentleman told us that we would have to pay £4 delivery charge. We explained that this wasn’t the case last time so we didn’t know why we had to pay this time and he was so rude and said “well that’s the way it is”. We said that we weren’t happy about it and we would go somewhere else and he said “fine! Bye!” And put the phone down. Such awful service.

Struggled to find a good curry place living in battle but this find was great. Live the service loved the standard of food all really nice.

Best Indian takeaway, the food was lovely

Order 3 meals from this lot and paid for them. When opened the meals there were only 2 meals. When we complained the next day they were evasive and hanged up the phone several times. Manager claimed his name is Mr T. Terrible experience. They called us liars and never gave us the missing meal. Make your own mind up! Disgraceful!

Ordered from here twice this far, and it is by far the best Indian takeaway I've had in Hastings for a long long time. Ordered once at the weekend and once during the week and it was consistently lovely both times. The meal for 2 option is definitely the perfect choice, as they've actually included massala dishes as an option which most don't. Love vujon, and all the time they remain this consistent and high quality they will remain my number 1 choice.

Second time I’ve ordered from here and both times really amazing! I’m a real foodie and our take away was sooo nice! It turned up really warm and the request of spicey buttered chicken was mouthwatering. . . The spinach and garlic was also great . . Hats off! . . . I hope it stays consistent! Our first experience of the Vujon Indian Take Away was great. There was a really good selection of food available on the menu. We ordered our dinner through a smartphone app which was nice and simple. The food was delivered on-time and hot. We had a selection of Tandoori, Curries and Naan’s. Everyone commented on just how nice the food was compared to our usual Indian take away’s so much so I though I’d post a review here. Will be our goto Indian takeaway from now on.

Ordered takeaway over the phone, asked to have a saucy paneer instead of a dry curry and the man on the phone said this was no problem! The food arrived and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning!

We used Vujon on the last night of our holiday. At 2am I starting being very sick and my other half has an upset stomach. Two days later and we are still very sick. And it ruined our last day as well as our attempt to travel home. So disappointed.

Ordered online, email was sent to confirm the cost with applied discount for booking online. Then the delivery driver arrives and informs us there is to be no discount due to delivering during bad weather! I spoke to the manager to complain as this is very unfair trading. Had the full price been on our confirmation email then it wouldn't have been an issue but to turn up and demand an extra ten pounds is appalling. We will never be ordering from vujon again

We decided to try this take-away on recommendation and were very pleased we did! The food was very good, a good selection of dishes and delivery included as well. We planned our evening well, so a 60 min wait on a Friday night was not a problem at all.

Decided to try this place out as so close to home. Food was good. Chicken didn't taste cheap, as it can with some curry's. Service was very fast. Home delivery was within 30mins of order.

This place opens until 22:30 and I arrived at 22:15 but was still served and the food was cooked quickly
