Kuryz in Hastings

We moved here last month this is our local Indian First time we had the taste was lovely and really enjoyed it Ordered it again last night I asked for prawn saku as starter £5.95 for 2 prawns is daylight robbery drowned is sauce Definitely won’t be ordering that again The taste was nice but seriously £3 a prawn is a joke. We on average do £40 for 2 Don’t mind paying that but definitely not cheap I know food has gone up Delivery service is great Order in app is great Just so disappointed with the 2 prawns

Great delivery and lovely food , just a bit runny but very tasty.

New to the area and just had the tastiest vegetarian meal I've had in ages from Kuryz - absolutely delicious Tarka Dall with options to add extras and specify thickness and level of spice etc. Great spice and depth of flavour in all dishes - beautiful Mottar Paneer. Really friendly staff - Fair prices - Can't wait to have an excuse for take-away again!

Tasty food 5 stars as usual (I order regularly) but this time the portions were overall a little small. Especially the portion of chips and Main dish as this was filled only just above half way in the tub...

Had the large reshmi kebab starter and garlic chilli chicken, and it was the best ive had. Really good takeaway and authentic dishes.

Always used Kuryz. But must have changed hands, smaller portions. All dishes usually eaten were extremely hot and not eaten. No salad served with Chicken Tikka. Extremely disappointed

This used to be the number 1 restaurant in Hastings but unfortunately it seems that it must have changed hands and not for the better. The counter staff could not explain what was in the main dishes! Only knew the prices and than any changes are an extra cost! When we got home and tried their popadoms, they were awful and tasted that their oil needed changing! We couldn’t eat them. The food was quite bland compared to previous visits. Very disappointed!

I usually never review but I tried this place this week and has two already, the food takes me back to when I first ever had a Indian takeaway when I was a kid, the taste, smell, colour of the rice, honestly is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much!

Would be lovely as food was tasty but portions are tiny, such a shame, still trying to find a decent Indian in Hastings since moving here a year ago, never normally still feel hungry after an Indian but now cooking myself a 2nd dinner

Best curry in town and really fair prices

Good points: delivery driver was lovely, it was quick and the Chicken Sag was good Bad points: peshwari Nan was described as stuffed with sultanas,almonds and coconut....it was not...it had a light dusting of coconut which was charged at an extra £1 otherwise it was empty. Lamb Ceylon was 4 bits of really dry lamb in a sauce described as a madras with coconut and it was nothing of the sort. The container was not filled all the way to the top either. The containers are small....the rice one in particular is not enough for 2 people in general and especially if one of those people is a 6ft4 bruiser with an appetite. So v bad value for money.. felt completely ripped off and when we complained was just met with excuses and no apology or recompense.

First time trying these ,was OK sauce a bit runny but tasted nice be warned if you order 2 poppadoms that's what you'll get (we are used to our Indian takeaways giving us more )

1st time using Kuryz, I have to say excellent food and very well priced, delivered within time frame given on order tracking, highly recommend

Portions of food dire, compared to Indian takeaways in Hastings. Would not order from them again ever. 4 pieces of chicken in a tikka.........

They refused to bring us our correct dishes and owe us a refund of £11.50. They are now saying that we must wait for the refund. They haven't told us when. This was supposed to be a family meal to celebrate our daughter returning back to University until the summer. We have covid and couldn't go out hence why we ordered the take away. They wanted to pick up some of the order and then make us wait again for over an hour to give us the rest of the order. Why are they in business? This is not how to treat people.

We ordered a selection of dishes. When delivered it became apparent the order was wrong. When I called the restaurant they were unhelpful and dismissive. They just don't give a crap about customer service. I've asked for a refund for the items they didn't deliver to which the guy said it'll take a while as it was an online payment. They also wanted to collect the dishes not intended for us. I have them stacked waiting for collection. I urge all discerning customers to eat elsewhere. This place service sucks.

We was recommended kuryz from our neighbours in fairlight and we was disappointed, customer service great , the food itself not good , very watery and not much taste and my girlfriends balti was laced with onion and way to much salt , We are sorry to say we will be going out to get ours in future at our favourite Muktha’s in Hastings Very disappointed, sorry kurys

Terrible ratio of sauce to actual chicken in all of my families food literally about 5 pieces of tiny chicken drowned in sauce, took an hour and a half and they did not even give us all of our food we ordered, will not be ordering from Here again

It used to be nice but the dishes were always quite watery. Had a takeaway last night and was very disappointed and had to throw it away. It was so sweet that a bag of sugar must’ve been added to the curry. It was in edible. Very disappointed

We ordered from Kurtz tonight, all the curry’s looked like soup and hardly any meat. Tasted ok but won’t be ordering from here again

Lovely food but I would recommend you choose a delivery time of at least 30 minutes before you actually want the food. To be fair, my experience is new years eve and last night, a Friday so would expect them to be extra busy and maybe a few minutes late but ....? Don't have take aways normally so don't know if being half an hour late is usual or generally acceptable. Shame the food was warm not hot. Would order again but be mindful of the delivery time.

Never again! Nan bread dough. Lamb tikka starters--4 very tiny bits, of gristle. Chicken biryani inedible.

Always delicious and fresh! We love Kuryz! The king Prawn Jalfrezi and Sag Lamb are my favourites.

Just bought a caravan at coghurst and found this place by accident. Ultra clean and friendly, and I have to say THE BEST INDIAN TAKEAWAY I HAVE TASTED ANYWHERE!!! It’s fresh, natural tasting , and 10/10 I’m amazed !!!!

We've tried a lot of curries in Hastings but this is by far the best and most consistently good. Set meals are very good value too and more than enough food for 2 people. Thanks!

Delivered in just over an hour turned up hot. They food was good but the portions were extremely small.

We're regular, if infrequent, takeaway customers at Kurryz having ordered three deliveries in the last year. We've always found it be to good food at a reasonable price but tonight's meal was the best ever. Less oily and deeper flavours than previous meals. The best onion bhajis I've ever had from a takeaway. Madras could have been a bit hotter and Naan was slightly sweet but that's just nit picking. Our go-to takeaway has just got better!

Truly the best curry I have had in years since leaving London I've been hoping to have something this good hit my tongue and have only ever been disappointed. That ended today. I've allready told three friends and will be calling this place again for another speedy delivery of this good stuff.

First time we have used this restaurant ..was recommended ... from ordering over the phone to receiving and eating our meal... all First Class ... food was hot fresh and extremely tasty tasty ... thank you Kuryz on a wet and windy night you made us feel good.

Not very nice narn bread needed longer cooking doughy in the middle, asked for butterfly prawns got a flat thing like a pancake. Tikka masala very runny with only eight pieces of chicken in it and some of the children was chewy. Not a patch on some

Been using here for about a year, it's a way from me but dependable and tasty, well normally. There was barely any lamb in the dish, the rice was only just over half full, the keema nan cremated. The lamb dish was tasty as usual ,portion size aside, but the Ceylon but really was just awful. I've not had it at Kurz before, and it was so appalingly bad and bland that I felt I had wasted most of my £40 order. Also the speciality lime dish which looked fantastically presented was just nothing on the taste buds. So one dish a hit from 4 mains, just not good enough really. Has there been a change of staff or supplier? Real shame but time to try somewhere else.

UPDATE: 11 months on, Kuryz’ food has gone super bad and not in a good way. Hostile takeover by robots or aliens from outta space who don't eat so may look like us but have no clue how a good curry's meant to taste? Yes likely. OLD review: Kuryz’ food (chicken dhansak and green lamb curry, with all the usual accompaniments) proved to be a real deal; beautifully spiced, well flavoured and fresh tasting. Having given up on curry places in the area, I’m so glad I decided to take my son’s recommendation: apparently, he and his friends have rated Kuryz ever since their William Parker days almost a decade ago. I just wish they told me earlier.

8 Years of continuing good quality food & service

Ordered a takeaway last night, usually it's great food, but last night's was very disappointing, chicken had a weird taste, my wife's looked like little frozen Square cubes, smaller portions of rice, be a long time till we go back

Whilst staying at a nearby holiday park we unfortunately ordered a takeaway for delivery from this establishment firstly ordered 2 chicken tikka starters that came in the normal size plastic container you could have fitted 20 portions in each 5 tiny sized nuggets of extremely dry morsels in each ordered a medium curry that was vindaloo hot stripped our mouths the onion bhaji were tiny and hard and dry the garlic rice was ok so they are getting the one star for that we are staying here for a month can anyone recommend a local Indian near coghurst hall that is decent please

My friend has raved about this place for years, so I thought I'd give it a try.It was ok. Flavours could have been beefed up a bit. Portions could have been bigger. Really nothing to write home about. Filled a hole, but not that amazing.

Seriously well made, authentic and original flavours - we ordered a takeaway for 6 adults (one of whom is the restaurant reviewer for an eating guide in Manchester) - and we were so impressed - beautiful seasonings and spices - lovely clever and unusual dishes - so much choice on the menu that was easy to order and browse - we were in heaven!Ignore those reviews from folks who just like bog standard supermarket style Indian Takeaways. Kuryz is really top food.

Initially I gave this place 5 stars when it first opened. My first order was lovely, hot food, good selection and plenty of meat on the choices. I decided to return for a discounted Mother’s Day special. I was a little disappointed this time. Curry was very tasty and I did enjoy it however there was a lot of sauce and not a lot of meat. The naan and rice were good but the curry on a little cold side. I priced up the same items with another curry restaurant I use and Kuryz came out about £12 cheaper, so I suppose it is a case of you get what you pay for

Only half my order actually arrived, just blamed the kitchen for it not being in the bag. No offer of refund or to replace.

My partner ordered a meal for our anniversary it was horrible had chicken rogan Josh even thou I ordered lamb phoned them they said we ordered chicken ok fair enough . The korma was so runny with a few chunks chicken tasteless horrible and Rogan Josh runny tasteless disappointed wont go there again .

Good and fast service, also generally good food. Quite a bit hotter than others we have had though, great if you like a lot of spice.

These guys I think have changed hands lately. Gone down hill which is a shame as their curries are amazing. But portions defo smaller and last night I called to order a curry. Was put on hold for 4 minutes with no explanation. Anyway placed the order. 2 hours later still hadn’t come, so I called them only to be told my order hadn’t been placed. No apology and sounded like they didn’t care. Awful service. Won’t last long if they can’t even get the basics right.

Don’t waste your time with this joke of a company. This was the first and last time we would order from this takeaway that doesn’t give a monkeys about customers waiting an hour and a half that tell you it will be 20 minutes. To top it all we have multiple items missing and they just said it was all there so won’t entertain the issue. You have been warned, go somewhere else

absolutely disgusted by the customer service I have received from this place. I have ordered food from here many times over the years as it was one of my favourites. Recently the food and timings have started to slip. After giving them another go after having a bad experience I decided to order a takeaway as everyone has days when its not 100% perfect. I was originally told our food would be 1hr and 10 minutes which was not an issue. After the time was up I gave them a call and was told I would have to wait as it hadn't even been packed up, didn't even get an apology! After 2 hours the food arrived, the chicken was so overcooked and the sauce was so watered down it hardly tasted of anything. We were also sent the wrong items. We ended up throwing away the food because it was cold and inedible, frankly I wouldn't have paid for it if I was in a restaurant. I'm quite a reasonable person and messaged the shop with my complaint and was told I would hear back from someone with the correct response once it had been looked into. A week has gone by and I've messaged twice again and its been read and ignored. Completely appalling customer service and i certainly won't be back

Not sure why all the Glowing reviews? the food is alright but nothing special? i ve had more Chicken, in dishes, at other takeaways,and the price is slightly higher here than other Indian takeaway`s in the area. So not enough persuasion to visit again.

Just had yet another fantastic meal from this superb takeaway. The service is second to none. My meal was ready very quickly and the flavour and quality of their food is simply the best by far. I highly recommend them.

Me and my son Ordered a chicken tikka masala paid for it to be extra thick, it turned up and the sauce was like water it had no flavour.We called to complain and they totally ignored our complaint, needless to say we won’t be using them again

The best I've ever tasted, their rice well I dont know what they do but it's light fluffy it's like a new side dish. sorry guy's just try them once their cheken Tika and corma nams, just try them and you will name your kids after me to say thank you

We recently stayed at Mount Pleasant House for Christmas. On the day before Christmas Eve, no-one fancied cooking, so we had a look through the various menus in the house and decided to go to Kuryz. I ordered a Paneer Madras, which wasn't on the menu. They had Paneer on there, and they also did Madras curries, so I figured it was worth asking! They said it would be fine, and I am certainly glad I asked! The meal was delicious. I also had Onion Bhajis and Poppadoms and everything I ordered was scrumptious.The food was lovely and if I am ever back in that particular area I would make a point of getting another takeaway from Kuryz.

We have takeaways infrequently, but when we do, Kuryz is our number one choice. The food is spicy and quite hot, but that suits us. Ordering online is easy and convenient and the given waiting time is helpful. The Chicken Momo starter is one of our favourites.

We are lucky to have one of the best Indian takeaways nearby. Never been disappointed, and we've tried most of the ones in Hastings. The food is tasty, not too greasy, quickly cooked and there's a good choice. True some outlets may give a little more meat, but for overall value Kuryz can't be beaten. Tip: go for a standard curry, but spice it up with with an upgrade rice eg. onion, keema etc.

First time trying. Picked up our food and got it home within 5 mins. Immediately called them to say that the chicken tikka masala had 6 small pieces if chicken in it and was this normal. Took that fish back where the manager told me it definitely had 8 pieces in it when it left there... in other words I'm a liar! So I went back out in the wind and rain just to con kuryz out of 2 pieces of chicken. Went off in to the kitchen and then left the other staff to deal with me. What a great way to deal with a customer complaint.

Disappointing We've used Kuryz for some time now on the odd occasion that we get a take away and the food has always been good enough to make us come back, but this time I wasn't pleased with the food. My chicken main had a sauce that was too thin and there was not much chicken, and the pieces that were there were small. The take away service has always been good and it is normally delivered on time or even early, but I will probably try somewhere else next time.

Staying at our caravan nearby we thought we would try here, it was fabulous so tasty, lots of flavour and right amount of spice, received 10% off for collecting and paying cash so bonus.

Chose this place due to its high reviews. Well it must of been chefs night off. I’d give 2.5 but that not an option. We decided on three as it did arrive exactly on time and we’re starved 😂 Korma was thin like soup and very lemony with gritty coconut. Maybe some like it like this. Jalfrezi never had a curry as oily as this one. Bhuna’s were ok. Could tell it was a Bhuna. Had better many other times. Ordered mushroom rice and special rice not sure what rice we got both identical. Tasted ok Overall I’d say edible but I’d wouldn’t use again.

Do not go anywhere else for your takeaway you won't beat it! Great food, great service. Even when they made an error once and forgot a dish it was promptly corrected and the stray delivered with some extras to say sorry.

When it comes to Indian takeaways in Hastings, this isn't exactly the worse I've had but it is very close to being the worse. Staff are friendly and delivery is fast. I ordered a Chicken Vindaloo with plain rice, naan bread and poppadom. The container looked like is was full of soup, couldn't actually see the chicken, the bits were that small. The chicken was far from being fresh, it was clearly not fresh fillet chicken. The texture was like processed chicken and bland. It had 2 random bits if potato in it. Never have I ever had potato put in to standard chicken curry. The sauce was bland and missing flavour, thickness and spices. It was meant to be a Vindaloo, yet it massively lacked spice. The naan bread tasted stale and I was quite hard. I wouldn't order here again.

I love my Indian food. This guy makes authentic Indian food. At least give it a try. Try it once. Everything on the menu is amazing. Even better if you have an account for every 10 meals you eat you get one meal for free. Basically 10% of your bill turns into points. If your in Hastings. Try this place out. Then I went to the beach 5 minutes drive Be aware of the super sized sea gulls - they will attack the food out of your hands Amazing really

Came in to order some takeout, order poppadom, chicken tandoori leg, Lamb And chicken biryani and chicken curry. And king Prawns. Good portions size, and good service. I would recommend to other.

Quick delivery, really nice fresh food. Medium is quite firey so if you are a bit sensitive go mild.

Ordered from here before and previously been impressed. Our meal tonight, literally tasted as though someone had ‘accidentally’ poured in a bucket full of salt into pretty much every dish we ordered. Completely inedible. All we could taste was SALT. Unpleasant.

Ordered many times and usually very nice. Tonight was poor, longer than usual for delivery, food not very warm. Green curry was tasteless, starter undercooked. Keema Naan had no meat in it. Unsure if new chefs, but will avoid for a while.

We always use Curyz, they are simply the best, that man complaining about chicken korma must have that confused with somewhere else. The food is ALWAYS fresh, on time and they give you really good up to date information about delivery. Delicious food, reasonable prices, we would eat here every day if we could. LOVE IT XXXXXXXXX

I ordered a takeaway from here this evening. Delivery was an hour but that was fine. Food came it was hot and absolutely delicious. I order from her quite often and tonight’s meal coin not have been any better

After reading lots of great reviews we ordered online for takeaway. Takeaway arrived within an hour but quality was poor. Watery chicken Kormas with rubbery chicken and no taste at all. Very greasy garlic naan and not particularly nice garlic mushrooms. Samosas also bland. Overall a very bland and disappointing waste of money. Best part of it was the mint sauce and that was free!!!!! Definitely won’t be returning.
