Food was awesome definitely use again!!

Four of us had a great meal at Ocean Spice, Great Food Great Service Great Value.Will Be Back.

Waited 3 hours for our delivery, when I rang up after 1 hour of waiting we were told it would be delivered within 5 -10 it wasn't, made another phone call was told internet down, then after waiting 3 hours rang again and asked for a refund and the manager put the phone down on me, he was very rude on the phone. We won't be ordering again.

Brilliant food every course was superb friendly and attentive staff I would say worth travelling for Best Indian meal I've had for years Good Value! Price above included wine. Note they have special banquet nights when even better value !

Incredibly rude person on the phone, tried to overcharge me for swapping items - chicken curry to phaal & keema naan to peshawari. Which they've done before but only by a few pounds, £7 over this time for similar/cheaper priced items. I ordered, but then cancelled as I didn't want to pay for food from someone so rude- I know I've previously been overcharged, but they were friendly and I wanted food. This time not only a bumped up price, but a very rude person. I could hear they were busy and he was stressed from the start, but please don't take it out on me. Also as a customer, (I understand customer service), you should be polite anything better than rude.

Going for a meal is supposed to be a treat, this wasn’t. After ordering from here for years this is the last time. Extremely rude staff ruined the atmosphere and rushed us to the point my grandad had to order the first thing he could see. Don’t support people who don’t respect there customers, avoid this place, they don’t deserve your money.

delivery was quick, which is probably why the food was so bad. it was an oily mess. never again.

Delivery early, so no complaints however I ordered vegetable dhansak & rice with a bhaji as am veggie. Received a complimentary chicken dish in the bag.... A nice touch, but not for me! Food OK, but bit on the greasy side this time.

More oily and biryani is like fried rice worst taste. I am not going to order again .

Everything here is so very different. I have ordered for over 12-15 years with this restaurant. This is not the quality they have given in the past. Will not order again as something is very wrong here?

Awful Could not eat the chicken at all because it was so hard and tasteless. Even after marinading it was so hard i had to throw away! where has the normal chef gone? He is amazing. This time the food was not up to standard

Another amazing takeaway from Ocean Spice! We are regular customers and have never had a bad experience. Food is always delicious, fresh and piping hot.. lovely sized portions and always delivered on time. Looking forward to our next one!

Doesn’t feel fair to give the food a rating as I never received my order. Spoke on the phone with the restaurant to verify my address and phone number, and was not given much help other than being told it would arrive soon. A number that I presume was the delivery driver called me shortly after, and when I answered they hung up. Waited outside for an additional 20 minutes looking for the driver and the order never arrived.

A love/hate relationship with ocean spice, can’t fault the food, always enjoy their food but the delivery issues are always so hit and miss. I seems it was delivered to a different house tonight, so it ended up being over and hour late due to it needing to be re-cooked and redelivered, a simple phone call could have stopped it. Not the first time we’ve had delivery issues which is a shame as mentioned the food is generally very good

Food was good which is why we came back. However the delivery bag was full of oil and grease which has now stained our worktop in the kitchen which Im not happy about! You need to pack your order better

This is hands down one of the worst restaurants in Hastings. The food was a disaster, soaked in food coloring to the point where everything looked unnaturally red. There was no hint of the usual flavorful masalas, just an overpowering taste of artificial coloring. The naan arrived cold, which is unacceptable. The kebabs and tikka were extremely dry, making them difficult to chew. Even the mango lassi was disappointing, with a thin, watery texture that seemed to be just milk, lacking the expected creamy richness. Additionally, we had to endure a 40-50 minute wait for our food, which only added to the disappointment. I strongly advise against dining here.

Great food, delivered to us on time. The staff were all friendly and attentive (other than a complaining customer who was trying to pull a fast one!!) everything was brilliant 😊

duck shashlik must try definitely recommended dish if you like duck dishes . but to be quite honest with you all their food is superb quality.

Takeaway was late, the dishes were disgusting especially the biryani which had so many pieces of hard bark/spices and was too hot. Vegetable curry was hot and swimming with oil like the mild dhansak with loads of onions and no lentils. Message was unanswered. So avoid placing an order. Used to be a decent establishment.

delicious and authentic food. I ordered the lamb shank which was perfectly cooked and just fell off the bone. the tarka daal was not the best I've had (too oily and not enough lentils, chilli and garlic), but still very tasty.

I have used ocean spice for years always good food but the last few takeaway were not good today the chicken was so tough it was inedible ! Thats it won't be using them again gone down hill not using same suppliers or bad cook

the absolute best Indian food ever. nothing else comes close in quality and you also get huge portions. u won't be disappointed, ocean spice is the only place for good Indian food.

This is the second time that I've ordered from Ocean spice I'll have to say I'm very impressed Great selection on their menu food turned up nice and hot good service all round had to ring up restaurant to check to make sure everything was okay and we're still on schedule . We're very polite and assured of me delivery was on its way. good Indian cuisine. would recommend.

Because the delivery was very late (even though I live 2 minutes from the restaurant) it was cold and not at its best.

Gave me a delivery time of 6.40 to 7pm but arrived 7.45. I was sent a text at 7.10 to say it was on its way , had to phone at 7.30 to be told again that it was on its way.If you're running late please manage people's expectations.

Waited well over an hour of the supposed delivery time and when it turned up the food was stone cold!

delivered in good time and food was exceptionally good quality with a good variety of Indian cuisine available on menu in fact it was that good I'm considering going to the restaurant itself would highly recommend considering this is only my first order with this Indian takeaway restaurant.

Terrible Experience with Delivery and Customer Service I recently ordered takeout from this Indian restaurant and had an incredibly disappointing experience. Firstly, the delivery person threw the food at my door and dashed off without taking any payment. After returning ten minutes later, he demanded payment, but didn’t have any change and attempted to overcharge me by £7. When I asked for the total, he couldn’t provide it, which led to confusion and delays. Eventually, I had to scramble to find exact change while my food sat cold on the plate. Upon contacting the manager, who happened to be the owner’s daughter, I was met with indifference. She acknowledged the ongoing complaints about the delivery person’s attitude, but instead of offering a solution or compensation, she brushed off the issue, stating they were not responsible for their staff’s behavior. This lack of accountability and poor customer service left me thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied.

That was £30 that I might as well burnt.

The food was very nice, plenty of choices on the menu. Friendly staff and courteous service. Definitely visit again.

We are repeat customers of Ocean Spice. Food is always piping hot and absolutely delicious. Fresh and tasty dishes. Never disappoints! Lovely valentines touch tonight with a red rose and a little sweet treat. Highly recommend!!

30 minutes late and starters were cold .Missing one portion of rice and one portion of Bombay potato. Very disappointing and totally ruined our experience. I hope this is a one off and not the sign of things to come. I expect a refund for the missing items.

Food had leaked in the bag so lost some of the food also had oil everywhere. Wasn’t packaged well.

Was greeted with a warm welcome and seated right by the heater; all warm and toasty. We were very happy as we had complimentary starters and then had the BEST Indian dinner I’ve had in a long long time. Everything down to the naans were to perfection. Glad I have discovered this gem. The enthusiastic owner also told us they have two floors that seat over 100. So will defo keep this in mind for birthdays and Christmas parties!!! Can’t recommend enough. Thank you Ocean Spice x

Lovely restaurant with lovely food usually but tried the veg thali and was very disappointed to find out that they are all sweet. Sag paneer and vegetable masala doesn’t need be sweet, feels like this dish is catered to those who want Indian food but not really.

We have ordered takeaways from Ocean Spice many a time but last night was particularly disappointing. We ordered two kormas (not huge spice fans) and we were sent one and a completely different dish. The onion bhajis were soggy and the korma was so runny it was a soup, not a curry. Normally, the food is decent but couldn’t ignore the huge inconsistency this time around.

Brought a takeaway just before Xmas ended up with a stomach infection caused by food poisoning 24hrs after. 16days of being really ill thanks for that!!!!

Had takeaways before but food was ok but everything was just abit off. Had blonde waitress waiting round not really doing anything prices, increased extremely high for new years. Restaurants was nearly empty. Food tasted extremely spicy even for milder dishes, nann tasted really floury and overpowering amount of coriander. Got two Currys, two drinks and a starter came to ever £60. Staff where nice but I just wouldn't recommend or go back again.

I would certainly order from this Restaurant again. Great food at reasonable prices.

Used Ocean Spice for a while and its been a hit/miss recently. After tonights dinner i wont order here anymore. The bombay potatoes were covered in vineagar to disguise them clearly going out of date, and the oil in the dishes was flooded and lost the taste of the dishes.

Got a call after ordering asking for more money for the delivery driver on Xmas. I'd already paid for delivery through just eat. They said it was on their website which I checked after the call and there is nothing on their site. When I said I'd cancel the order suddenly it was all ok, no need for extra delivery charge. Will not be ordering again trying to weasel more money out of customers.

The dishes were far too oily (I wouldn't have minded if it was ghee), the lamb was also of low quality.

First time ordering takeaway from here. Having used another for a long time. Vegetable thali was absolutely awesome. Best curry we’ve ever eaten in Hastings.

Really disappointed with this meal, swimming in oil, Bhajis not cooked properly, samosas burnt to death and part of the order missing. Never had a problem with them before but won’t be ordering from there again

Great food and ok delivery, although did forget the wine we ordered and sent a lesser wine when the driver went back to get it.

Absolutely horrendous!!! Never seen anything swimming in so much oil! We deliberately asked nicely if we could have little oil used due to dietary requirements and it’s like they went out of their way to make it inedible! We did ring up to complain and we swapped them for new ones…which were almost worse! We ended up throwing everything in the bin. Awful food and awful service. AVOID!!

Absolutely shocking, we had 3 Currys that all tasted the same, a chicken bhuna that had chicken tikka in it, a curry we didn't order that just seemed burnt, and on top of that the 2 naans we ordered weren't delivered either !! and when we tried to call they didn't answer and even left a message for them to call back and still nothing! honestly worst curry I've had in long time
