Vujon in Sandwell

Ordered a takeout absolutely delicious. Specially the lamb naga and mixed shashlick , so well done chef.

Went in for a table of 2, within a few minutes the owner came and asked how do I want any poppadoms then answers the question himself by Saying 2 each annoyed me instantly so I ended up not ordering any as I found that slightly rude but it felt persuaded, one of the starters I ordered was a shami kebab unbelievably small, I eat Rice Krispies bigger than that, on to the mains if I wasn’t so hungry I would have had a go at them the bowl the curry came in was half full so technically it was a half portion the other main dish which was a tawa was half the portion of Mine and so sweet ended up ordering another curry which was tasteless overall I would rate the food 5/10, value for money? HELL NO. It ended up being £25 per head at the end I eat more in quantity and better quality for cheaper in other places, however it was my first and last visit.

Not good at all. We had a booking for 9pm. We was seated straight away and our order was placed within 10mins of being seated but had to wait over am hr for the starters and the main to come out. The food was very bland and tasteless. Definitely not returning and wouldn't recommend this place.

Place was highly recommended by my neighbour and it lived up to the expectations that was built up. Best jalfrazi I’ve had in a long time and the rest of family loved their dishes. Lamb chops starters was tasty too. Location is perfect too as its on the High Street and you have Astle and Tesco car park behind the restaurant. I will be heading back soon :)

Had a takeaway from vujon today really enjoyed it. Haven't had one for quite some time. But today it made it for the lost time .

Visited this restaurant on Saturday evening, there were only a couple of people in at the time but did get busier later. We ordered 2 poppadoms and the sauces and 2 pints of coke. The yoghurt sauce was just that, yoghurt, no taste at all. The red sauce was very spicy. Onions were ok though. Then the starters arrived. The chicken shashlik was ok, if a little bland. As for the samosa medley, all 3 samosas were frozen in the middle, so much for fresh food. Admittedly the waiter was very apologetic and returned a few minutes later with 3 very hot samosas. Then the mains arrived. The minty lamb was ok, most of the lamb was very tender. As for the chicken dish this sadly was again quite bland. Chicken itself was cooked nicely though. The naan bread was quite thick in places. However, what made the whole evening worse was when we were presented with the bill. We had expected to receive some form of a small discount off the bill for the issue with the frozen samosas. But no, we were charged the full amount. And to add insult to injury, we were charged for the two pints of coke £9.80!!! I will definitely not be returning. It will be the Akash in future.

Stayed at New Premier inn in West Browich and did a google search. The Vujon came up so we gave it a go. Service was good, food was very good and not overly pricey, will visit again if in the area

Two Visit here within the last two months both for parties one my uncle and one my wife. First visit food very nice, service very good and we all was well fed and very happy. Went made this even better paid our bill and left 10 mins later I get a call saying come back please you have overpaid us. We forgot the deposit we had given, the honesty we found amazing. Second visit only yesterday, again 20 people, set the table and banner up before we got there ourself to do it, we asked for the table to be moved they done it, we asked to pre-order our starters a bit different from the menu they accomdated, they never make you order too much they tell you excatly what will be enough and it always is. Food was even better this the vujon chicken special is beautiful to eat. The dishes always taste different from each other - that what make this restraunt special. On this visit they did something very special, they gave my wife a birthday card and put money in as blessing. This is the first time I have experienced this....The owner has a very big heart. we would like to thank him and his staff, you have made both occasions special and we look forward to spending many special occassions. We wish you a very busy period over the coming week. Finally if you want quality, authentic food, then this is the place for you. This is hidden gem with a big heart. we wish you always stay blessed.

I came here with my family last month. It was highly recommended by a friend but unfortunately I was left feeling very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best, my local takeout is not only cheaper but delivers the same standard of food. I expected a lot more given the price. The restaurant itself was awfully quiet, not that silence is an issue but as far as I'm aware, my family were the only customers here, I felt slightly awkward having the staff watch over us. I won't be returning.

A good mainstream British/Indian curry - freshly made and tasty. Service a little slow (given it was early on a mid week night and the restaurant was pretty empty) but we were not in any hurry.

Every few months I go back to this place. As mad as it sounds I like having a choice of restaurant+part of my motivation to return is to offer some local support. It’s never bad enough2complain about but will never great. They promote themselves on various promotion sites currently, ‘Gourmet Society’ but, coincidentally, I have never qualified to receive the discount offered, despite paying for my for the privileges on the card and meeting their criteria. The first twice it was declined was for not booking in advance; were usually the only ones there so it seems like a bit of a cop out, especially as advance booking isn’t a restriction. Last night the reason was because I’d ordered from the wrong menu 😂😂; when I enquired 2 see this secret menu they bought out a laminated a4 sheet with pretty much the same dishes on I had eaten (madras, dansak, etc). You will know 4 next time, he smiled. I can’t be bothered 2 write 2 anyone about misrepresentation but after being bitten so many times now I thought I would at least give my fellow TripAdvisor’s a heads up. I normally tip 10-15% but simply keep it in my pocket now. I really feel uncomfortable by not showing gratitude through a tip but finally the feeling of being repeatedly shafted for what is usually around a tenner in discount outweighs this. Food 6/10 Service 8/10 Choice 6/10 Being taken for a ride so they can make an extra few quid after luring you in under false pretenses 10/10 .... l8ke I say, I’m slow to learn sometimes.

I treated my wife for Valentine's day. Perfect meal. She loves chicken shashlik - it was melt in your mouth. I had a Lamb Kaalia - hot and tasty, genuine lamb. They do a superb Tarka Dhal . Our second visit was almost as good, Excellent, friendly and attentive service. They are serious about being the best they can be. Their naans are like clouds. They are the best I have encountered.

We had a lovely meal Saturday night. Interesting menu and huge choice. Beautifully cooked, delicate flavours. Great atmosphere- could hear other customers raving about how good food was too. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and fab cutlery !😉

I popped into see the guys and had a great chat with them. I left with the most amazing curry,the vujon narga special. I also hope to have my 50th birthday party meal here next year.

A few of us went out after our concert, weve eaten here before. Service is very friendly, in fact id say it was VERY natural and not 'forced' hospitality. There was a lively group in ahead of us which slowed our meal arriving considerably. They apologised and once the food arrived all was forgiven, lovely as usual. My son's nut allergy was noted and there were no issues with the food. Two of us are eating low carb and this was easily acheived too. Well done once again.

I visited this restaurant earlier this week with a friend and what a great experience. Food and Service was excellent, a great place to dine for everyone. A must visit.

A superb meal, beautifully presented. Mixed Shashlik, the aromas of which wafted out of the kitchen creating pleasant anticipation. The meal did not disappoint. Friendly, attentive service which was not intrusive. Naan bread was light and fluffy, like a cloud. It could almost have floated away. Pre-dinner poppadom was crisp, dry and tasty. Our friends at the excellent Zaalsha in Bearwood have rivals in West Bromwich. We will be back.

I’m veggie and there was a really good choice, all of it tasty. I’ve no doubt the same is true of the meat dishes. Clean and pleasant and with very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. If you’re in West Brom definitely worth a visit.

Didn't know this place existed until I got a Tastecard. Lovely restaurant, friendly and attentive staff and the food was amazing.

A group of us were in West Brom and were looking for somewhere to eat. It was late evening and were worried most restaurants would turn a group of lads away however the staff in the Vujon were brilliant. They made us feel welcome and the food was awesome. If I could give more stars I would.

Have had many fantastic meals at Vujon with my family over the years. Their food is of an excellent standard and great value for money. Their service is truly stand out with incredibly attentive and polite staff that really get to know their regulars. Absolutely love it and would definitely recommend trying!

We arrived as a group of 19 people, ages ranging from 18 to 67. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and quickly organised extra space, as we had turned up with an few extra people then originally planned. The food was beautiful, and everyone got exactly what they ordered and in good time too. A fantastic night had by all, we will definitely be making a return visit, thanks to all the staff.

I loved the prawn shashlik here, i recommend you ask for a main course portion! Service was spot on.

From the point we arrived at this restaurant we were shown excellent customer service! The staff opened the door and greeted us politely. The decor and lighting was beautiful. I felt like I had been transported to a restaurant in Mayfair London. The food was...

Me and my husband had came here to have a nice meal however it was the worst experience ever!. We ordered our starters which was the salmon tikka and chilli paneer tikka. It took 30 mins for the starters to come through. When they came on the first bite it tasted bland. The salmon has no taste of the mustard marination at all. My husband is a chef and i also worked with food so if we talk about taste and experience we know what we are talking about. We were not satisfied. Upon asking for our bill, we explained to the waiter that we were not happy about the food as a advice on what could have been improved. As it is good practice for the business's growth also good for the chef to know. However,the waiter spoke back very rudely to us and started explaining that we were wrong and told us that this is how these dishes are supposed to be. The paneer tikka also had no capsicum as stated in the menu. Presentation was terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Worst night ever.

Last Xmas was in west brom thought give this place a try and glad I did. Food was lovely tasted amazing fresh ingredients. Went recently as was visiting family again in the area and it was so different from my last experience. Tasteless food swimming in oil, Bombay potato was a few chips cut up with onion How very odd!!!! Sorry guys but you won't be having my custom again

I can't believe I am writing this review as Vujon and The Paradise as the restaurant was previously known was one of my favourite Indian restaurants. However after frequenting the restaurant for many years, my most recent experience had completely changed my opinion. I ordered my usual starter or Lamb Puree which is one of the more expensive at over £5.00. It arrived with a slither of dry filling in a roti which bared no resemblance in look or flavour to my favourite dish. After trying the starter I asked the waiter if the chef had changed to which I was assured not and then told that this is how this particular dish is served which was an insult to someone who has been ordering it for years. No apology was given.

Great Food, best in West Bromwich, funny thing no beer only wine? When asked as to why this is the case, waiter advised we could bring our own beer?Seems odd to us, other than that still the best food.

Went in early for my tea on Wednesday and was the only one in, it wasn't a problem and I enjoyed the 1 to 1 service. The food came quickly and was delicious. I had a main with boiled rice and a naan and 2 pints for £20. I would definitely recommend.

As always the best ever service from the staff, polite and friendly makes for a memorable night out,the staff will advise you about what meal you have chosen and explain the tastes and flavors you will experience,the tables are not to close so you are not on each others feet like some ive been in,a massive selection to choose from although Lamb dishes are perfect i always go for the chicken dishes in medium...fantastic place.

Recently tried several other Indian takeaways in the area,so when it came to my daughters birthday rather than dress up and venture out we ordered a couple of curries,rice and a few naans.The delivery was quick,the food was piping hot and the quality very much improved.Dont get me wrong Vujon has always been good,but the taste and texture of the curries was better than usual,the naans very fresh aswell,overall I was very impressed,and its not often I am full to the brim with a takeaway....nice one

We decided to try this little restaurant out one weekend, as everywhere else was busy due to it being "pre-mothers day". Well what can I say, the place looks expensive from the outside, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we arrived, there was one other couple in there. The ambience of the place is lovely with a relaxed feel, music not too loud. They have a good variety of choice on the menu and the price is reasonable.The staff were lovely and looked after you very well. We had a lovely evening and will definitely use this place again

Went out with a group of girls from work. We had excellent service and great food. Lovely atmosphere, great ambience.Feels as if you're in India when you're in the restaurant. A lot of time and effort has been spent on the decor.

ordered from here on recommendation from a friend at work who had a meal at the restaurant we ordered a mix of curries Balti chicken and lamb also a jalfrezi rice and naan bread it was delivered in the specified time and the food OMG amazing best we have had in a long time from numerous places we have tried compliments to chef and staff money well spent !!

Our group have been coming here for several years and find the food to be very good on each visit (including this one). However, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant doesn't allow you to bring your own wine and beer any more (though an exception was made for us this time). It also took over two hours for our whole group of 15 to be served.

We dined at Vujon on Saturday night and were very impressed with the menu - nice to have some new dishes to try and variety.The food itself was superb, they accommodated our gluten free requirements and the service was excellent. Recommend and hope to be back if we stay nearby again.

Went to this place in the evening in the middle of the week and had a very good three course meal. The chilli paneer pakora was fresh and the best I've had for a long time and the curry dish I ordered was excellent and with no grease!! Would definitely go again.

We went on a Saturday evening as we were staying locally, did wonder if we should have booked as it was busy when we arrived about 7.30 but they managed to find us a table. Menu quite extensive, but as soon as my husband saw Nargis Kofta on the menu he had to have it - he said it was fantastic ! Service really great and very welcoming. We thought the bill at 44 pounds was excellent value for money as we had a few drinks along with poppadoms, starters, mains with bread & rice. Next time we are back in West Bromwich it will be our first stop.

Went there last night (Wed 8th Feb 2017) it was only just gone 6pm but a couple of tables were already taken.The place was spotless and nicely laid out.The food was fantastic, honestly I could not move!!Staff were really nice and chatty especially Inayah who was gorgeous.While I was waiting for my taxi I was offered a complimentary brandy which rounded off a very enjoyable evening.

We visited here as we were on a 2 day break staying close by and always like to take in a local Indian Restaurant during our stay.We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown promptly to our table.It was around 7pm on a Saturday evening and it was good to see a few other table already occupied together with a large group.My parents, being in their late 60's were a little overawed by the menu but there was no need to worry as the friendly efficient staff were readily available to guide us on starters and main course options.After a tray of poppadoms and pickles were demolished we moved onto our starters.We decided on 2 mixed platters. These arrived very promptly and were a perfect choice with chicken, onion bhajis etc all cooked perfectly. Plenty for everyone.Our mains were not very ambitious by Indian standards and consisted on Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Massala accompanied by Mushroom Rice and Plain and Keema Naan Breads.Again, all booked to perfection, piping hot and well presented.Would very much recommend the Bangla Beer and the ladies said the house wine was very good as well.The bill for all of us came to about £85 and we left very full up and satisfied.Definitely worth considering if you are in the area.A very pleasant evening was had by all.

My Association (BlackCountry African Club UK) ordered some lamb / chicken and beef sauces and nicely cooked rice from Vujon ( Misbah and his team), from placement of orders they gave adequate attention to our requirements, quite considerate with their charges and very efficient with delivery of the food, feedback was great last night and every one enjoyed the meal. This was our first visit (couple) to Vujon and were very impressed. The restaurant has an uncluttered, bright and smart décor and we found the levels of service excellent. We only had time for poppadoms and main course. The poppadoms were good and served with a 2 sauces and a salad mix. Our main courses had a light touch and tasted distinctive. In how many Indian restaurants do you find just various stodgy sauces! A little more expensive than your standard Indian but we were well impressed enough to call back again when we can.

Never been to West Bromwich before but here for work and wandered down the high street and found this place. Had the £9.95 special - poppodam, then choice of starter, main dish and rice or naan. The food was excellent, well presented and the vegetable Rogon was the best I have had, mild with lots of flavour. Fantastic find!

Visited on a Friday evening. Very busy but found us a table for two after a very brief wait. The food was delicious! It was nice to relax and chat between courses, a divider down the middle of the restaurant made it feel cosier (I don't like huge open canteen style rooms)

Had a meal here last night , visited on the off chance . Me and the Mrs were going to try a place caped Akash but as we font know west bromwich very well ended up walking a distance, the high St was littered with down and outs , potential muggers hanging in the frames of the market stalls. Fearing abit for a safety we came across vujon first. First impressions were very good lit up in blue . Ordered my curry . The curry was good to be honest a decent portion , my Mrs said hers was a little bland but ok . My only criticism really is apart from the chef nobody seemed interested to ask if our food was ok , buy the chef did come out and ask so that was a nice touch. All in not a bad place at all just in the middle of a dump

I have been on 2 occasions. Izzy with a friend and the 2nd i arranged for a table of 23. The service was really slow for the large party despite my asking several times of they could cope with this no. They said they cud but clearly they couldn't. The food is very good tho and the service the first time great. I would go again but not with a large party. My only criticism is not the service but the portion sizes. Most of my party considered them tip be small portions for the money and i have to say on both occasions my serving was smaller than anywhere else i have been to. Shame because everything else would have brought us back.

The food wasn't just any old bog standard curry, it was very rich in flavour and the chef himself recommended the lamb garlic chilli which was fantastic. Definitely will be back again and try the other dishes.

The wife and I was stay in West Bromwich for a family gathering. We decided on our last night to go for a curry. We just walked in off the street and were pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent and the food was even better. Especially liked the Combination Mains where I could try 2 different curries for one price (excellent idea). Service was quick and the staff were very helpful and polite. If we're ever staying in the area again we'll definitely be back.

Went to vujon on Eid Day booked a table of 16. What an amazing time we had the food was awesome from starter to main meal and we finished of with a floater coffee,excellent service and compliments to the chef.

We decided on Vujon to dine on 1 of our evenings of 2 that we planned away for a group of 14. It was so good that the group decided we'd go again the following night. Fantastic service, great attention to details

What a lovely surprise this restaurant is.It's situated on West Bromwich High Street (not one of the most salubrious areas) & it doesn't really look much from the street but this is now the 3rd time I've returned & I've been delighted with the food, service & ambience each time.A real gem!

Ordered from here for the first time. When my order arrived the delivery driver was so rude I will never order from here again I gave him the money plus Tip! And he said next time I will be charged £5 delivery as I'm out of the 5 mile radius upon looking on Google maps I'm actually 3 miles away and an -11 minutes drive

Thank you to all at Vujon. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the food was fantastic and the service was great. Really yummy, you could taste every herb and spice. Good quality and freshly prepared. We will be recommending to friends and dining here again in the near future.

Good service from the moment I arrived. Decent meal, and not too badly priced. Food was tasty, especially the starter. Main course was fine. A bit of confusion about whether they accept tastecard at the end of the meal, but other than that, a good experience.

This is the best place for a curry in west brom if not then the best place in west midlands if not then england if not then the UK this place basically is amazing the food is excellent the service is excellent me and my girlfriend go in there regularly and we know all of them on a named basis the waiters cant do enough for you and you can always have a good convo with them i love this place seriously recommend a visit if you like a curry and are in west bromwich

Oh my gosh this place is amazing. It's not only great food but so so tasty and the atmosphere and service is outstanding! Would recommend to anyone. Now one of my favourite places to eat and relax! Usually I point out who gave the service but you can tell these people work as a team and it shows in abundance. I had a fish balti, naan and rice with WOW, the best onion bhagi so have had in my whole 46 years. All I can say is they lead the way and good luck to them, they deserve it!

Went here yesterday on a pre-valentines meal literally not planning to come here, just managed to pass by this restaurant and luckily we decided to take the chance on this place as it is the ultimate hidden gem. Food was amazing we had the tandoori mix grill and murghi buryani which was probably the best I've ever had, food presented really well and full of authentic flavours and finished off with some desserts of khulfi and a orange sorbet which was also very nice. Staff really friendly and attentive and the place has a nice ambient atmosphere to it, not the most perfect interior but was very cosy for me personally. Near perfect well done.

Just after xmas I went to this restaurant with my family. The service was superb and the food was outstanding. Walid took care us. We had a number of dishes a mix of veg and non-veg dishes each dish was made to perfection. if you are after quality from the food, service and ambience this is the place to go. We will be retuning soon!

Just a quick review to say how good the food and service is at this place.Only had the takeaway service but the food is very best I've tried.The lamb dishes are amazing and the quality of the meat is second to none.Chicken tikka vindaloo is superb and lamb kahlia which is packed full of flavour the service is excellent to with quick deliverys and friendly people.Can't wait to eat in.Give it a try you will not be disappointed.1st class

Visited last Saturday for husband's birthday. Very extensive menu and everything well cooked. Staff very friendly. Would visit again if in area.

Food is okay, I am vegetarian and find the vegetable balti dishes: vindaloo, madras, etc, lack many vegetables. It feels abit basic / alot of sauce.The meat dishes my family eat look better.Had as take away

Had the Chef's award winning Jalfrezi which was very good indeed. Our party of three really enjoyed it. Worth a visit.
