Did not regret trying Royal spice take away , probably one of the best Indian meals I have had , will be ordering again soon , and not expensive prices either ,

Ordered a takeaway. Very impressed. Friendly warm staff who were very accomodating. Food was very good, nice starters which were well portioned yummy curries. I ordered the thali which was delicious and great value, nicely flavoured and fluffy naans. Looking forward to ordering again and to trying the buffet. Thanks again 👍😊 👍

This is the second time me an my husband have been to the restraunt. The food is really nice with good portions. The staff are really friendly and nice too. We had the poppadoms and pickle tray, which where nice and Onion Bhajis to start, the onion Bhajis where delicious and was a good portion. I don't eat meat but eat fish/sea food and they where able to make me a Goan prawn curry they even offered me the option of normal prawn or king prawn. The Goan prawn again was delicious. My husband had the lamb roman josh and he really enjoyed too. The drinks menu is non alcoholic but you can bring your own wine or beer if you want to, which is really good. I was surprised to find though that not many people to go to the restaurant part for food mainly people order takeaways. I would definitely recommend people to go, especially locals as I am a firm believer in supporting local restraunts. Really is a nice place, great food and friendly staff. Thanks again

Great little takeaway, excellent food with a varied choice. You can eat in as it is also a restaurant, although not usually very busy. The takeaway food is excellent and we eat here regularly.

Here in york for a few nights and had a takeaway and it was delivered on time. The food was so delicious and we had asked for extra and it was spot on. I will be ordering again tonight

Bhajis were cooked to almost leather. Mixed kebab and chicken tikka. Neither tasted quite right, I can't quite put my finger on it but, it just wasn't nice. Mint sauce was like water.

Fantastic buffet on a Sunday afternoon, we went at 5pm for my birthday meal and were treated like Kings, the food was delicious and we could take our own drinks too, we will be going again 😊

This is my first visit to this Restaurant, I actually thought it was just a takeaway but it is in fact both sit in and takeaway. The first thing i noticed was how clean the dining area was, it is easily the cleanest Indian i have visited in many years. The young man who was front of house was very welcoming and offered me the menu to look at, it was very comprehensive. I chose a Garlic Chilli chicken, a garlic nan and Sag allo. The establishment is cash only but there is a cashpoint at the nearby Sainsbury. If dining in, it is byo alcohol. The service from placing my order to getting served was very prompt. When i got home the food was piping hot, the choices i had made were of very high quality and quantity, good chunks of chicken in a sauce that was very tasty with the right amount of hotness that i expected from a garlic chilli chicken. The Nan bread was also excellent as was the sag. It was also a very nice touch that as it was my first visit, i was given complementary Poppadoms with two dips. I have tried many Indians in the area but todate this is the best and i will return soon and dine in. Well done to this new addition to Yorks curry scene.

Ordered a vindaloo from here must say it’s gotta be the nicest I’ve had yet and everything was still hot as if they just served me it when I got it I’ll definitely will be going back again

Best Indian restaurant we’ve dined at in York. Was surprised at how good the quality of food is as well as portion sizes.

We ordered some food via just eat but with pick up. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We got two dishes, but one was given to us on the house (thank you!) and really enjoyed all. The food was hot and spicy - it wasn’t “Englished” as some places do. It wasn’t mild and flavourless. Tasted very authentic and I am sure we will be ordering again!!

Visited this new Indian Restaurant after a number of recommendations and was highly impressed. Fully refurbished from what was, as I remember, a green grocers, this new venue offers a clean modern environment with a BYOB policy which keeps the prices very low. We visited on a quiet Sunday evening and were greeted by the owner who soon had us seated and ensured we all had glasses for the drinks. Menu offers all the usual choices plus some specials including a good number of fish dishes. All food is cooked to order so there is a delay , but believe me its worth it. Superb depth of flavour had us all trying each others meals and every one was perfect. we look forward to returning soon. Highly recommended.
