Just had a lovely first visit here and would definitely go back again. Friendly service and great food. Even went out for a bottle of Baileys to give us after our meal. What a lovely touch.

Amazing food and service on NYE. Walk in and despite being slammed with orders they went out of their way to sort what I wanted. I left, food in hand in 15 mins and it was delicious! Thanks so much guys and Happy New Year to Janna Spice!

Very nice as always, would recommend collection as usually takes a while to deliver to Strensall. A bit pricey but worth it once in a while!

First time here not expecting much in comparison to the Parvin (my regular go to). But always on the lookout for new places i was pleasantly surprised - found was great and the service was top notch. Recommended.

I ordered a takeaway last night, to be delivered, spent £36, no salad or sauce with my onion barges, chic tikka masala, chic dupiasa, which were both very bland, and not a lot of chicken, we were both disappointed, we have ordered from here before, and found it hit or miss, well this is the last time il bother, I dident pay for a cheep meal, so I dident expect one. iv just read your reply to my review, and as there's no way to reply to your apology, iv edited my reveiw, saying sorry that my meal wasent upto your usual standards, doesent really cut it does it? that doesent make me feel any better that I wasted £36 through no fault of my own, apart from me picking up the phone and dialing your bloody number, if your going to apologise at least offer me my money back.

Lovely little local restaurant. Owners were 100% in everything. Top class hospitality. Food fantastic. No rush between courses. Cannot fault it. 👍

Veg korma wasn’t great, texture and taste was similar to baby food. Dips weren’t great, chutney was watery and tasted off. Not what I was expecting from the reviews on here. Wouldn’t recommend or order again.

The place was superb and the food was astonishing,mind blowing. It was that nice that I spent £250 on I with my family. I recommend the lamb shank and chicken tikka starter. The waiter who was called radin was very attentive and was really nice and also gave me a %5 personally from the head chef. I personally recommend this place and I will definitely go back there with my family.

Shocking curry I think the worst I’ve ever had I ordered a chicken tikka masala is was like a korma. Chips was not good cold and overcooked got a big bag but who wants a load of horrible chips.. Mrs got a balti which was orite but not great.. they was more love gone into the balti

Excellent food, as always, the 'Lamb Railway' was exceptionally tasty washed down with a bottle of Cobra Beer. It was very quiet, hence the 3 stars for the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Mains cooked in so much ghee it had all spilt in the bag & was all over everything. Onions bhajis were lovely everything else was too greasy for my taste

The korma had no taste at all and the chicken was tough and just no flavour to it

Came in for a take out, sat in as it was such a nice easy going environment. The staff were friendly and when the food came it was fantastic. Highly recommend the Tandori garlic chilli balti. My only reservation, no sorbet to finish, but that's personal. Altogether brilliant, will definitely be back thank you for a great meal.

We ordered our food well over an hour before the requested delivery and still late. Lovely food but always very late which is disappointing because we have children and they now have had to go to bed with a sandwich.

Perfect! Arrived earlier, friendly delivery driver and amazing quality chicken, food was piping hot, best Indian in york!

Gobi ghost was tinned tomatoes with a few pieces of lamb and no flavour. The chicken tikka didn’t look like it had been anywhere need a grill - anaemic pink colour. And the sag Gobi was more tomato than spinach and potato. Really disappointing.

We use for collect takeaways hence no comment on atmosphere (well, always seems pretty cheery when I'm waiting) or delivery. Quality of the food is excellent and offers good value for money, timing has always been very good: it's ready pretty much when they say it will be. Go for the various specialities and you'll find a wide range of flavours and styles (not just "generic curry + meat + ingredient" style), well worth exploring the menu. The fish dishes are great. The takeaway lamb shank is delicious and usually provided in an empty butter tub (catering size of course, the lamb is BIG) - good recycling, keep it up!

Always lovely food, good taste and flavour. Main was a little light on prawns but still a really nice meal. However delivery 20/40 minutes late so I’d suggest collecting where possible

Great service, we walked in, there was a table available, nice atmosphere, seemed nice and busy with take away and sit in options. To improve, the customer toilet could do with an overhaul, loose tap, grubby door, small things but important. Thank you guys. Will call again.

Really nice Indian restaurant, its a very small restaurant but its got a good warm feeling to it. Food was cooked to perfection and the price was very resealable.
