Expensive but so nice! Food was delicious!

Week day evening, don't bother slow service, cheap meats coming out first not really worth it, get a greggs instead

Went there for my surprise b.day yesterday .and it was perfect.. stunning food and the service was great.

Our second Rodizio within a year, after The Amazing "Brazilian" in Hull. Whilst the Viva Brazil doesn't quite match the wonderful atmosphere of the Brazilian, the food and service were immaculate, esp our waitress Divine and the super friendly young blonde gentleman who persuaded me to have way more of the gorgeous cinnamon pineapple than I should've had 😅

Great food and great service as always. Its not cheap but well worth it and the buffet is very good for an all you can eat buffet but the real draw is the steak. Because they cut it for you at the table you can choose what cuts you want and how well done you like it and its such good quality. The bar has a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, as the person who is often the designated driver I really appreciate their mocktails. My only complaint of the place is that it does get quite loud on weekends, if you are particularly sensitive to large crowds and busy places I'd consider going on a weekday instead where it is a lot quieter and more pleasant.

Went there for a friend's birthday, very expensive for drinks at the start. Chips run out and no more stocked up.

Ridiculous that they force you to pay a 10% service fee, this is not America! It is the responsibility of the owners to pay you a decent wage not the consumer! Ruined the whole experience for us and this was one of our favourite places in Cardiff!

Just back from having breakfast, 8 adults and 5 children. What a fantastic morning, kids all found lots of eggs and one found the golden egg. The food was excellent and plenty, the staff were all very friendly. 13 very happy and full customers who will definitely be back.

Visited last week. The venue was busy. We had to wait for empty tables to be cleared before we could be seated. Pleasant staff. Food was ok. An ok Rodízio but unable to shout home about it.

Great. As always. Staff were so helpful

The service was absolutely appalling. We were stood at the bar waiting for 10 minutes when we got there, took 15 minutes for anybody to come over and even take our drinks orders once we eventually got seated and then another 10 minutes for the drinks to come to our table. In terms of the food, it was lovely, however it took ages for somebody to come round with the meat in the first place. Nobody came round to ask if all was okay or even if we wanted any more drinks etc, despite us being able to see most of the staff members stood round the bar/kitchen chatting between themselves and not bothering to give any decent service to the guests. The waitress then seemed to forget about us, and left us sat there for half an hour, she didn’t come over to the table to offer dessert menus (we did want desserts! But ultimately decided not to bother) or see if we wanted the bill. In the end we went to the bar ourselves to see if we could pay there, after ten minutes of standing there being ignored, we finally managed to flag someone down so we could pay our bill. The whole experience was not worth the £140 we paid in total for three people, and although we have been previously and really enjoyed it on that occasion, we won’t be returning.

2nd visit here glad we went early before the match. Great selection of meats even at lunch time limited menu but still good for the price. Garlic steak is the best and the Sausages. Salad and potato bar was great to start but the struggled to keep replenished there after as place was full and new tables constantly coming in but still all very tasty and would book again.

Went expecting to have all these different types of meats ? well ! It was the same couple of meats just cooked different ways nothing I would rave about and TBH can't see me going back id rather a big juice steak in a local pub but must say place is nice and people serving are nice but you try and you decide good luck..

Its a really nice place to eat in Cardiff, went on Valentine’s Day and the service felt rushed ultimately ruining the experience. I can understand they were busy but it just felt like the 12 or however so many meats were cramped into a few minutes of madness, was overwhelmed and ruined my appetite.The gammon is EXTREMELY salty (viva Brazil you have got to fix this) as in the salt content is ridiculous and I love gammon, consider smoking or desalinating. Bbq ribs were raw and inedible . Other than that we had a decent meal and while I don’t think it was value for money, I have spent loads more for much less.

First time visit today for a Valentine's Day lunch. And waddled out like a couple of stuffed penguins a while later! The staff worked their absolute socks off delivering delicious freshly BBQ'd meat, beautiful garlic bread and tasty cinnamon pineapple straight to our greedy gullets. Safe to say we'll be back, with friends in tow.

I visited Viva Brazil last night with my wife, as she had heard a lot about this restaurant. It was truly a memorable experience and both of us are in agreement that Viva Brazil is the best restaurant we have been to in Cardiff. The food, service an atmosphere were first class and we would like to thank each and every staff working at the restaurant for being amazing, especially Nathalia who served us. She is very friendly and cheerful and always has a pleasant smile. All the staff members working at the restaurant are incredible. An unforgettable night and one of the best nights ever.

We have visited with family on Friday for a first time in Cardiff. I have not been in something this bad for very long time. The food was terrible! We did not like non of the meats and been wasting them 90% of times as they were completely tastless, often overcooked or opposite undercooked. Whatever they brought was impossible to eat. Salad bar saved us a bit but also noting worth the money. We spent over £150 for 3 people and left very dissapointed, and upset. We have visited several Brazilian restaurants of this kind in the UK and in other countries but this was the worst of them all. I do not recommend visiting, it is a real waste of money! ☹️

So being a Brazilian I can recommend this place. First lets get the "secret" options out of the way, it's pretty common to have cheese bread balls Pan de queso. You gotta ask your waiter so do so. I would highly recommend that . Don't you dare!! Order a coke or any soft drink than guarana which is from the brand Antarctica that they stock (the best one). For booze drinks a caipirinha is the drink of Brazil and they make a pretty good one, I prefer the original but they do mixed ones so feel free to experiment. Lastly if you going for dinner order the chicken hearts (I know it sounds scary but it's pretty traditional) and the picanha beef when it comes round, and finish it off with the pineapple with sugar and cinnamon. Other things to have Lamb was good The cheese pork was great The salad bar you should have the platane chips (don't bother with normal chips) You could have a bit of the rice and black beans but the salad bar is designed to fill you up, so only take small bits! You there for the meat! Thing's not to order Don't take the chicken....what's the point it's not Brazilian and just fill you up The sausages they say are Brazilian but I think are just normal sausages, traditional they come in big round circles rolled up on the spear, so maybe skip that. Price It's not gonna be cheap but it's the most traditional meal experience from Brazil in Cardiff. You can ask for extra meat, you can ask for extra slices, you can ask for thick or thin slices.

Quando pesquisei na internet vi um lugar onde pensei que pudesse matar a saudade de casa, a única coisa que eu não sentia saudade esse restaurante me proporcionou, basicamente foi um roubo o valor que paguei pela comida que mal comi. Sem palavras! Decepção!

Prob our last visit. Sporadic food delivery so your sides always got cold. Some meats v tough. Feels quite downmarket at times (toilets rough) but still a £170 bill for 4 with 1 bottle of wine. No starters. No deserts

Hello. We spent wonderful time with our family. Everything was nice. Just there was less cheese and berries. Also I like tobacco or dry red pepper or fresh chilli pepper. But waiter offered chilli sauce. My son wasn't hungry and he couldn't eat at all. We asked any box to take away, but unfortunately there was any. Everything is nice. We had wonderful memories. I liked lamb and pineapple my best. I hope we will come again. I wonder to know is there in Cardiff some similar place with sea food? ❤️❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💋😍😍Thank you so much

Table booked for 2.30 had to wait outside in the cold for nearly an hour before we could go to the table. Very poor really. Wouldn't go again

Good food, loved the fried polenta, the Brasilia beer, cinnamon pineapple and the variety of meats. Loved the Brasilian music. Was a lovely experience.I do recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something different. Great place to take the family or a group of friends. You will not leave hungry from there, that's for sure, plenty of meat to chose from for fixed price.

Easy parking (just over the road) and the staff bend over backwards to make your visit fantastic and food to die for

Meat not grilled properly beef was a bit chew

Absolute rip-off!! You get asked how you want your meat . Then when you get the meat, you get told how they do the meat. Why ask then. Most Meats were prepared medium well to well done. The potato salad was glassy. Definitely not worth £39 a head!!!

Food was awful. Poor quality meat seared on the outside and almost raw on the inside. Also isn't allowed to rest so the texture is like jelly. Food is rushed to the table far too quickly to make it an enjoyable experience. Ridiculous price for bottles of warm beer. Will never go again.

Last visit far from great. We didn’t have picanha and the Parmesan pork was raw and taken away by staff. Quality and service standards are very hit and miss. When you pay £28 each and don’t get the prime meat something is not quite right. Used to run very smoothly….

Awesome! It was a fantastic experience. I went with my wife and three other friends and it was a superb experience. We had round after round of superb food and were attended to by a very patient, friendly and quick waitress. Bravo to her, and we'll be back!

The salad bar wasn't as good as it used to be. Meat was nice though.

Really average now, was quite exciting when it was fresh, now really subpar. Avoid.

Birthday Weekend away, was recommended to book a table here and it did not dissapoint. If you like your barbecue & selection of meats 🍖 then this is the place for you. A member of staff cuts up your meet for you which they then tick off for you , and you can go up and choose a big selection from there salads etc, not the best value for money however you certainly get what you pay for a great atmosphere, very friendly staff too, when explaining how to order.

Well it was a Monday, staff were great, food was good, it was a Monday £40 per person was a little steep, food was cooked easy, aka medium rare. Again staff were good , food was a little rushed. Won't be back too soon as it was just over priced but that for me. Meat was cooked on point 👉 every time so can't fault that.

Family meal celebrating my son’s birthday - I’d visited the Glasgow branch years ago and it was awesome. I’d seen a few poor reviews for the Cardiff restaurant but all seemed to be about poor staff. In my opinion behaviour breed’s behaviour! If you’re polite and engaging the staff are always the same. We had a cracking meal with great banter with all the staff. My wife is a vegetarian but the central salad and accompaniments bar had loads of choice for her and it was all very clearly labelled - She had a heaped plate and was a very happy lady. The meats were plentiful and numerous - our waitress squared us away with the Christmas deal ensuring that we didn’t pay over the odds - we ended up at £29.00 per head for the full meat feast with a large drink and dessert, no arguments whatsoever. We were very pleased with the experience, all of the food and the service. If you’re nice to people they are nice to you - there are to many folks in this entitled age who treat serving staff like second class individuals, no please or thank you, no “how are you, has it been busy” use their name it’s on a badge for gods sake - it's not a difficult transaction. We’ll be going back again

Exceptional table service. It was very busy due to the time of year but didn't affect our amazing experience. Will definitely recommend to anyone.

It was so noisy. The meat was very fatty and not the choice I was hoping for. We asked numerous times for water for our table and when it eventually arrives it was room temp tap water while everywhere else was iced water. Very poor dessert selection and got our order wrong. You have to walk up the hill from the station car park which only has a £15 tarrif, even you only want a couple of hours. You also have to download the App and use a card as that's the only option. Not good for people with walking difficulties. Wouldn't go again.

So glad I came here!!! I had lunch but was filled up until the next day 😂😂 Money well spent 👌👌👌 Can’t wait to go again.

Went here for a Birthday Meal. I recently dined at Viva Brazil, and my overall experience was quite disappointing. The food was notably overpriced, and the excessive saltiness in many dishes was a major drawback. What added to my disappointment was the inclusion of a service charge on the bill without prior consent. While the restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, these issues left me with a less than satisfactory dining experience. I hope the management takes these concerns into consideration for the benefit of future patrons.

Updated: Social media team contacted me to find out what happened, after I explained the event they ended up blocking me on their Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow instagram pages. Never seen this much racism from an establishment Racist staff, kept us waiting at the reception for over 5 minutes while the receptionist ignored us. I had to go to the bar before getting any attention and people who came after us still got a sit first. Just say it if you hate black people in your establishment

Have been with the family a few times and everyone enjoys the generous meat fix. This is my first time as a vegetarian and I was really impressed with the quality of the (limited) vegetarian options. An excellent table magician on a busy Saturday was also a lot of fun.

The unlimited island isn't as good as it used to be. The lunchtime menu only has 8 meats on, still lovely but a little disappointing, hence the 4 stars for food. Atmosphere 4 stars due to a rather noisy and large group near us, which didn't ruin things but was a little off putting. Service was of the usual standard and so 5 stars.

Every member of staff was attentive and friendly. The meat and salad bar were both delicious, as was the cocktail. The atmosphere was nice. We had excellent seats looking out the floor to ceiling window. We left very full even with just the lunch menu - don't think I'd survive the additional meats on the dinner menu!

Food and available offerings were good, eating here will be super filling! They have a decent salad bar too, but beware filling up on that stuff with all the meat coming your way!

It's a bit disappointing compared to previous visit, OKAY few years back food was tasty meat soft and nice well spiced. Now chef only uses salt and salt and maybe bit of pepper. Beef not soft like a sheet of paper pork a bit better with parmesan great (not Brazilian) chicken awful again salt and salt. Service is very good caring and place vith good vibration. Terrible problems finding parking in the area.
