Vintage Rockbar in Doncaster

Good venue with good music but the bar staff seem to want to serve the younger generation that they seem to know before customers who have been there for a good 10 minutes at least before them. Specifically the lad with the blue in his hair. Not good customer service

Kick out of this establishment, even though we were leaving on our own accord. for 'Harassing the bar staff' Funny how we could do this when it was table service and we hardly spoke to a single one of them.

Food was great with loads of vegan option i wanted to try and proper decent sized portions. The service was terrible. Saturday afternoon and there was one lad on the bar who said it was his second shift. We ordered around £30 worth of food and drink and he only wanted to charge us £16 and seemed shocked when we tried to correct him on it, poor lad. Didn’t have a clue.

Great place and the vegan all day breakfast is awesome. The staff are really helpful and I realise they have had issues with chefs and unexpected closures but it’s a business and sometimes things go wrong. I’ve turned up to find it closed unexpectedly but when it’s open it’s brilliant. To have so many vegan options is amazing and I completely recommend a visit. You won’t be disappointed

Where to begin... I am so disappointed and I wish I never ordered from this place. The burger was the dryest burger I have ever had in my life, I asked for mayo and they must have put the tinyest teaspoon of mayo so that everything was dry and tasteless as everything else was already so dry. The skin on beer chips were just french fries which we wouldn’t have ordered if we knew. I feel so ripped off after paying so much money for gourmet burgers thinking they will be really good, when I could have got a mcdonalds, paid a third of the price and have something tastier. I will never ever order from this place again and I will tell everybody I know.

I have ordered from Vintage on Just Eat quite a lot in the past couple of months as there aren't many vegan options in Doncaster. With every order I have chosen the "vegan beer cheese chips". I did the same tonight, but received a call within minutes from the restaurant. The guy on the phone informed me that the "vegan beer cheese chips AREN'T vegan". He explained that the restaurant use real cheese on this dish and are now calling customers to explain as they had received a complaint from another customer. When I asked why this dish was in the vegan section of the website and has "vegan" in its name, the guy told me that there should be an asterisk next to some items signifying that they are vegetarian, not vegan. However, there is no asterisk on Just Eat next to the item. At the top of the page there is a note that says "not all ingredients suitable for vegans" - however I assumed this to be referring to the clearly marked non-vegan items as opposed to the items under the tabs marked "vegan". The information is not clear and obviously misleading if there has been another customer before me complaining about the same thing. I'm gutted that I've eaten a non-vegan dish multiple times without realising. This restaurant should probably rethink the names of their dishes and format of the menu to avoid serving other vegans non-vegan food. This could be considered a misunderstanding (despite how daft a mistake it is on their part) and I probably would have left it at cancelling my order. However, the guy on the phone was completely unapologetic and matter-of-fact, even after I stated that I had eaten this dish multiple times, which is inappropriate considering how upset I obviously was. I'd have thought a restaurant catering so well for vegans would also be considerate towards something like this. I won't be ordering from Vintage again purely on principle (and I believe this warrants my low rating), but don't let that put you off from ordering from here as a vegan as there are loads of good options, the delivery is quick (from a lovely delivery driver) and the food is good quality and well-priced. Just check and check again with the restaurant that your food is vegan - even if the website clearly describes it as so and the item has "vegan" in the name. And please Vintage, you obviously need to sort this out. I've attached screenshots to evidence how misleading the Just Eat menu is (there is no asterisk anywhere to signify that some food is vegetarian and not vegan).

This is not the first time that we have decided to visit this establishment to eat. The first time, we arrived, paid for parking only to find the place closed with no explanation. This time, having recently found out they provide a take out service via Just Eat, we were thrilled and excited after reading reviews. Today we are left exceptionally disappointed yet again, as, with no explanation, they are closed, not serving, not answering phones or messages, so.......no food. Twice is unfortunate, they wont be given the opportunity to make it a third time. Shame, as its the only place relatively decent place in Doncaster, doing Vegan food late night.

We went in early evening and weren't sure if food was still being served, however the staff were really friendly and soon found us a table in the eating area. Amazing menu that pleased the meat eaters and vegan's in the party with a really good choice of options available. The portions were really generous and we even got given some extra fries for free. Only slight draw back was that there was not much choice on vegan beers available, but the staff were knowledgeable and able to recommend suitable ones. Well worth a visit as there is not a huge choice of good vegan food in town.

Chose to come here to eat as there was a group of us and a couple are veggies. This has a much better selection of vegetarian choices than most restaurants but also cater for meat eaters too. The service was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be visiting again.

This is great. A variety of vegetarian and vegan food making it difficult to choose. We had the vegan platter and it was lovely. In fact the freshly made falafel was the nicest I've had! We were the only customers on the Friday afternoon as they are waiting for their permanent licence. It is to be hoped that it comes through for them as Doncaster (and indeed every town) needs this type of menu as standard.

Has a menu with meat options on one side and a vegan/vegetarian on the other, my partner had the full veggie breakfast and I had burger and chips. Both were really nice and not bad value for money. Staff were friendly and the service was good.

Always had a lovely meal; great choice of veggie,meat and vegan burgers! Value for money! Staff always cheerful and friendly! Also good for dancing on a night!

I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years and they have the best selection ever of vegetarian & vegan food!

Found this place on Google, never heard of the place before but thought we'd give it a try! It was fantastic, the staff were lovely, very friendly and chatty. They have an excellent menu on including dairy free and meat free options, the food didn't take long too cook and it was beautiful. Was highly impressed and will definitely be going back!:)
