Team lunch for seven people, considering we ordered different mains, the delivery was impressive and the quality of food good. You can eat inside or outside, nice place to eat and relax with a few drinks.

Very busy on this hot summer Sunday lunchtime, however, waitress found us a nice outdoor table. Excellent food, nice cold beer. Good service. Fair price. More than happy !

Only visited to buy wine rather than drink/dine in, but the member of staff who assisted us was fab - so knowledgeable and really took their time to advise. It’s so refreshing to receive good customer service. Will definitely be back to purchase bottles in the future.

The 2 good things about this place are that you can take the dog and it’s right next to the train station. Otherwise it’s just disappointing food, over priced everything and we won’t be going back. £200 for 4 people and we left feeling that we should have just had pizza round the corner.

A fab location with a really interesting menu and selection of wine. Unfortunately did not deliver - ordered 2 medium rare bavette steaks. One was fine but one was very rare not medium rare - asked that this was rectified. 15 minutes later another dish came out - completely overcooked and now well done. Sent back and another 15 minutes out came a bavette which look medium rare but was covered with a gravy which was not part of the dish. By this point I had finished my meal and my companion was starving so she ate it. Mistakes happen in restaurants but the staff did not deal with it well - would not return.

An underwhelming experience, the service and atmosphere were ok, however the food was very poor, no flavour and not half as exciting as it sounded on the menu, huge shame given the location, but I won’t be in a rush to head back.

Very good gnocchi and bavette. Excellent service.

Had dinner here last Friday and it was terrible, have eaten here many times before and loved the food but this time it was tasteless and bland. It took ages to get served and it was really disappointing, gone downhill sadly.

We arrived for drinks and the head girl who greeted us was very rude, there was no one around so we went to look for a table. She came over with an attitude and said that the table was for 2 people and what did we want. Really unhelpful and we decided not to stay.

Grabbed a few drinks here with friends. It's in a great location next to Kings Cross. We got seats outside, atmosphere was great, and staff were lovely. We had a few wines each, really tasty selection. Also enjoyed some focaccia as well. Would recommend checking it out.

Very convenient spot, more beautiful inside than outside, good service, delicious food! Gnocchi, chorizo, fries, cheese crockets, focaccia, tap beer... All perfect!

Had a lovely lunch here today with friends and we enjoyed the atmosphere in this restaurant. The food was good; we all enjoyed our dishes although the humous was rather bland. Great waiter who was very attentive. We will return.

Nice wine, terrible service. We had to ask for our olives to be brought over, and also asked for water twice but didn’t receive any - staff didn’t seem to notice the two empty glasses on the table either. We would have paid for a second glass of wine each, but unfortunately nobody bothered to come over to check on us, so we decided to leave early and give another bar our business. Really disappointing - I’d been looking forward to visiting for some time.

Such an amazing venue! Wine menu extensive but little advice from the server. Ordered 5 small dishes including scallops and burrata. Very bland which was such a shame. The olive oil with the foccacia is out of this world but the focaccia is cold and stodgy. Very disappointing.

Close to Saint Pancras station, an ideal place to eat before boarding the train. Or just to enjoy a good glass of wine 🍷

I came here with my wife. The barman was so rude. He gave us such an attitude because I walked in with a coffee in hand. We felt very unwelcome, that's probably why the resturant is empty. I don't recommend!👎👎👎👎👎

Food is alright but nothing amazing, one single prawn with some garlic butter for £5. Cured meat and terrine served with no bread or butter or anything. Service is “minimum” with staff who do not really know what they are serving and do not know the wines either. A bit too much for a place that is so called “vinoteca”

Great place, limited menus however everything we had was amazing.

Awkward seating, was in half height bar stools, and just no room around the table for us all. Slow service. Food was OK, but not wow.

Service was extremely slow. We visited for a drink on a Saturday early evening and were squished between two other couples on a high bench. The wine was lovely but the service was incredibly slow even though it was not very busy.

I visited the place with friends and it was pleasant, although the service was a bit slow. We sometimes had to wait to get the staff's attention. One of my friends found a hair in their food. Even though the dish was replaced, we were still charged for it. However, they had a great selection of wines. I would still recommend this place.

Tasty and reasonably priced (for a central London location) set lunch. The venue was spacious and not overfull on a weekday lunchtime. Thus they did not try to hurry us along. Excellent location, a couple of minutes walk from King's Cross/St Pancras.

Lively Friday evening atmosphere but we could still hear each other talk. Food was good and great wine selection. Perfect for after work drinks or catch up with friends.

I asked for their only non-alcoholic cocktail which was a no-groni. I even pointed to it in the menu to avoid confusion. They brought me an actual negroni and I drank it, impressed at how much it tasted like a real negroni. When the bill came and I realised their mistake I complained and they were really uncompromising, accusatory and unpleasant. Imagine if I had been pregnant or not drinking for a medical reason?! It’s totally unacceptable.

Always come here for a quick glass of wine, staff are always very friendly. Only downside if you're just there for a drink (without booking) they put us on a small shared table, doesn't allow for a lot of room and privacy.

We were skeptical to dine in a restaurant by a major train station because it'll always be bad quality pricy things for people that don't have a lot of time for catching trains. But it was surprisingly good although it's not the cheapest restaurant out there. The steak is flavorful and cooked to our liking. Along with the chips, it's a very satisfying meal. Pork belly is very fatty but the skin is crunchy and it's very lovely. I didn't want the sweet potato mash that comes with it and they were happy to supplement it with a side from another dish. We got put at the table upstairs and the lighting is a bit weird but the restaurant has a cozy ambiance.

Had a lovely family dinner here - mid week and it was packed! It’s very efficient and well organised and we had a great table. Food and service were both top and much better than on previous two occasions when I’ve eaten here. I’ve given it a 4 for atmosphere because it’s just a big glassy shed and sadly the building does lack soul. Having said that the staff are working really hard to look after their guests. Our bill came out at around £40 a head including service which I felt was good value for the location. I had pasta for main course and it was delicious and there were positive reports for the Monk fish too

The food was good, but that was about the only redeeming quality. Very poor service was definitely not worth the 12.5% service charge - the waiter seemed to drop as many glasses as he was serving, and I had to wait for quite a long time to get my wine and water after my food had been brought to me. Definitely wouldn't return, especially with better options in the area.

A very good place for brunch after arriving from St-Pancras, beautiful decor, good food, friendly waiters, what more could you ask for? A really nice place to have a brunch on the way out of St-Pancras, nice decor, nice meals, sympathetic servers, what more?

Returned to this place tonight and its just as bad. On arrival at 2145 we were told "you have to be quick". We were served tough cold steak, and then given a bill without asking for it. Absolutely appalling place.

I’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes now and no one even asked me whether I want a glass of water at least. Oh and there is like 5 people in here and 10 waiters. Says all you need to know about this place…

Went on a Saturday evening before a show in Alexandra palace with a friend. Really long wait for any service. We ordered drinks on arrival which didn’t come for half an hour (same time our mains arrived). We did ask several times where they were and were told they were on their way but apparently they never got put onto the tab for the bar man to make them. Olives we ordered just never arrived. Food was perfectly average. We both had steak and chips. Trying to get service was a nightmare - the staff all walked around the restaurant with their heads down or congregated behind the tills. We ordered a bottle of wine that took ages to come. We saw the waiter walk our wine around the restaurant before stopping for a chat with his colleague and eventually dropping it off at the table. We asked for our first drinks to be taken off the bill but we were told “you drank them so you have to pay”. Absolutely zero charm, fawltey tower esque service and bang average food. Bill was £140 for two people so not super cheap for the abysmal level of service. There are some extremely good offerings in the area so I wouldn’t bother going here. Would have rather gone to Burger King and saved our money.

Everything was perfect. I’m recommending this place.

Such an amazing wine bar, I'd been dying to check out for ages. A very large assortment of wines to choose from, quite cool surroundings and decor, a really great vibe. Friendly staff and a delicious menu with tons of options (I didn't try the food but it looked amazing!) Such a great location too, highly recommend

Nice looking place super close toe King’s Cross. We had the roast and whole Plaice and both were tasty. Staff is super friendly but not that efficient - they had forgotten about the drinks, our waitress seemed fairly new and didn’t really know the menu when we asked question. Good but there are better places in the area

Food was OK only went here as queues else where. The staff were so unfriendly i had to chase up everything I ordered 4 times. No one smiles poor customer service.

Its a really average place, quite empty of customers on the day. I asked for a hot chocolate and I was told: "sorry we run out".

Service let the place down a bit. Firstly, they couldn't find the reservation. The waiter was unfriendly and took away glasses that still had drinks in but didn't clear away all the plates. Maybe they were new on the job but someone ought to tell him to at least smile. Go through the motions at least if you expect us to pay a service charge. Just the bare minimum of service is all I'm asking for. Food and drinks were good though.

4 of us had lunch here on Saturday and was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The food was terrible. Cold cheese croquettes arrived. When explaining this to the waiter he stared at me blankly. I repeated myself and still the stare. I had to tell him to take the plate away and ask for hot ones. The steaks were tough and not cooked to order and plates smothered with horseradish when asked for it to be left off. Trying to get any service for the most part was impossible until half way through when we had a waiter that was more attentive. Save your money and do not go here.

The venue, service and atmosphere are great but the food is disappointing and generally lacking in flavour, which is a shame.

We stopped here for a drink of wine. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, very pleasant and clearly well trained. We loved the Greek rose wine, so delicious.

Friendly staff and great food buuuuut I have ordered a fish and chips and not gonna lie probably the smallest piece of cod I have ever had I even had a laugh with the waiter who was polite and friendly however he did agree on my comments about the size of the fish which was very small - the place was rammed with family and kids, it’s great if you like a place were kids are running unruled and you are not able to have a conversation whilst eating your half size fried cod. The wine was great as we ordered a £30 Italian wine from Sicily but the wine holder was exceeding of water instead of ice we had to ask them twice to have it changed as it would spill out anytime you needed a refill.

Before boarding Paris, we had a quick lunch at Vinoteca. The service was amazing and the food was superb. Definitely, a place to grab meals when you are in London.

A few nights ago, I visited Vinoteca for a date night, excited to explore a new dining spot. Despite its positive reviews, my experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Arriving on a Thursday at 7 PM with a reservation, we were seated promptly but then faced a frustrating delay. After waiting for 15 to 20 minutes without any service, we had to flag down a waitress to get attention. Surprisingly, it was the manager who came to our table. However, his attitude was far from welcoming. He barely glanced at our menus and started to walk away. We had to call him back, and he reluctantly asked if we were "ready to order." When my date placed her order, he rudely inquired, "is that it?" I added my main course to the order. Unfortunately, the unpleasant attitude wasn't the only issue. We waited an additional 40 minutes, while those seated after us received their food before we did. Throughout the two-hour span we spent at the restaurant, we only managed to get a starter and two drinks. Our table seemed to go unnoticed by the staff. Given the underwhelming service and the manager's abhorrent behavior, I was left deeply disappointed. The starter was decent, but not noteworthy. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no intention of returning to Vinoteca. I rarely write negative reviews unless I have an exceptionally bad encounter. Typically, I prefer to share positive experiences to encourage others to visit places I love. In this case, I hope that future diners can avoid the manager we encountered. On a brighter note, the rest of the staff was great.

Food was quite average and extremely overpriced for what it was. Probably some of the worst service I ever had. As in, it was practically impossible to get service. It took forever for someone to pay attention to me after I was seated. Staff dumped plates on my table and picked them up without a single word, I was never asked how everything was or if I needed anything. Had to struggle to get the bill and was just left waiting for a rather long time to pay. 12.5% service charge added and 10£ for a glass of wine. Given the prices (42£ for a starter, a mains and a glass of wine), you'd expect a much higher standard of customer service.

Amazing food, very slow service.

Had lunch today along with four other people to celebrate one our members birthday. The staff were friendly but showed no real interest in our presence and there was no friendliness or interaction. It was a rail strike day so there was hardly any fellow dinners. Three of our group ordered a seafood dish and the other two including me ordered the steak. I asked for it as medium and my friend medium rare. We were mistakenly served the opposite even though we accepted what was offered when the food arrived. I also noticed then that the hand cut fries were cold and looked and tasted like they’d been leftovers from the previous day. They were the worse fries I’ve ever seen or tasted in a restaurant; and please note the steak dish is priced at £21.50. I was offered a free coffee or dessert when I mentioned this but frankly didn’t want either as frankly it shouldn’t have been served like that! I certainly won’t be going back I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone what so every.

The food is very tasty, albeit a little on the small and pricey side. But the steak I had there was cooked perfectly! I asked for it blue and actually got that - usually it comes back medium so I was impressed they actually did what was asked! The wine is lovely there too. A really great selection and the three/four I've tried are all great quality. The atmosphere is also great on a weekday - it's quite buzzy but you can still have a conversation easily. I've deducted a star purely because it is quite expensive.

Very nice modern European restaurant! Food was beautiful, delicious and healthy! I don’t like heavy food and this is light with a reasonable portion. Service was great. They allowed me to spend the whole afternoon there 😜 I was able to do my work on a table outside after having lunch inside.

Unbelievably slow service, with an undercooked Sunday Roast. There are much better alternatives in this area.

Nice atmosphere and good wine selection. It tends to get very busy so service is slow which isn't a problem if you are spending a few hours there.

If I could get zero star I would. Extremely bad customer service, if you could even call it a service (?!!), from start to finish. If I was not given the final kick I wouldn’t have left this review. Having two bar and restaurants in London, this is definitely not the service I would tolerate to my standard. From start to finish. From duty manager to waiting staff. Extremely low standard. On arrival, the lady who was supposed to receive the guests was bust having her causal chat behind the bar and had absolutely no intention to receive their guests until I looked at them. Throughout the whole service, waiting staff seemed extremely inexperienced and try to rush the customers for ordering as they seemingly tried to get off work earlier. I could put up with all this as I know the challenges hospitality faces and proper staff is hard to get. But the following is hard to forget and forgive. Despite not being a “luxury” customer, I spent £200 for 4 people tonight. I don’t define this as a “cheap” customer. When I went to the loo before I left” before” 23.00, the same lady who was supposedly at the counter, said right in my face “oh they are finally leaving”! Whether it targeted at me, or not, NO this is not something you could say in front of ANY customers. Full stop. I wouldn’t even dream of saying it to my customers no matter what I had in my mind, not to say in front of their face. Try to speak to the duty manager who culdn’t give a fxxk. He tried to dismiss it with not enough staff. I m, as in someone in the industry, you could get away with the speed BUT NOY with your attitude. A note to the managent -your staff is ruining your business and you need to attend to this. It’s not the team you would want to keep at your house. For reference, the time of my visit was 18.30 to 23.00 on Monday 24 July. You will want to check who the duty manager and your receiving staff was (the chubby lady with her bun up). I definitely won’t return. When you lose your customers right and there, no second chance would be given. Obviously your staff can’t get a grip. Very low standard. You need to have you staff properly checked.

Unfortunately the service got worse and the food too. I used to go to the first Vinoteca in Clerkenwell which was a lovely intimate place with delicious food. This one turned into a tourist trap with mediocre service and ok food. We used to be regulars who will no longer visit. It's a pity.

Great selection of wines! Food is average but the service is really bad unfortunately — the reception lady and the waiter at the bar were very rude, the bar staff was nice but seemed untrained and only came to the table to remove plates and ask for food when we call them.

Visited here for a glass of wine and some starters and it was good! We had the squid with potato salad and the cheese croquettes for starters and were pleasantly surprised at how yummy they were! Especially the cheese croquettes - they tasted so good.. The wine and bellini we got was alright, but certainly not the best we have tasted. Atmosphere outside was alright but because it was a Sunday evening, there was not a lot of people... so it felt quite empty and quiet. The waitresses were difficult to get hold off after our first order, I had to literally make my way to the cashier to make another order. Other than that, it was good - nice, quiet and pleasant. I'd come back again, and maybe try their wine tasting menu instead.

Food was amazing! We had the hake and the french toast. Highly recommend. Service was pretty average (several items not in stock, got our starters without plates/cutlery), but the quality of the food made the experience much better.

The food was decent but I’d say overall overpriced for what you get. With every main you need an extra side dish which makes it even more expensive. The service wasn’t the best to be honest.
