The coffee was good but I had to wait at least 20 mins for it after they had given my latte to someone else. I had to speak to a rather grumpy waiter about three times to get him to eventually bring my latte. When I complained I was told it was my fault as I had moved tables. I had but I was still very close by and only to comply with the cafe's request that our running group should be in a particular area as we also had a walking group with dogs. Watching everyone receive their coffee when these people had ordered theirs a long time after me was not a great experience. I raised the matter in a polite way at the end but nobody was prepared to offer an apology.

Great little cafe in Vineries garden centre. Had breakfast here great choice on menu and very clean. Friendly staff and excellent value for money. Dog friendly inside is a massive plus for us and Polly recommends the sausage.

Overall we were not impressed. Food and drink.at best average and a little overpriced. The service was somewhat impersonal. We found the seating to be a bit uncomfortable

We met friends at the Vineries Garden Centre and decided to stay for a drink. We went to the coffee shop and immediately felt it was more like a canteen. The service was impersonal and the drinks were average albeit a tad overpriced. None of us considered it was a worthwhile experience

This is my local Garden Centre and I visit regularly, I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed with the food or drinks. Recently we visited for lunch, there's always a wide selection available, ranging from various sandwiches, which can be toasted, through baguettes, paninis, omelettes, soup, baked potatoes to salads and some hot choices. I just don't know how they manage to do it in a small kitchen. My husband had a cheese and tomato omelette, which came with a side salad. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini, which came with a side salad and crisps. Both were hot and delicious. Plenty of room to sit down and lots of parking, outside seating is available. We noticed that prices had risen since our last visit, but quite understandable, given the rising cost of ingredients. Highly recommended.

Whist the staff are generally polite and willing, the organisation here is poor, making service slow even though one orders at the counter. My biggest complaint is that today, we discovered that "breakfast" finishes at 11.30 and "lunch" starts at 12.15. That means that for 45 minutes the café will NOT serve any savoury or warm food at all, nor ANY of the sandwiches and rolls on their menu (most of which are just cold ingredients. This mad policy means that one can ONLY order a cake or similar for this period. Madness.

This coffee shop is generally ok. Nothing special - just functional. Experience over a number of visits has shown that their omelettes are rather good. My wife and I visited on 20/9/22 and decided to supplement our omelettes with a Greek salad, priced at £11.99. We were astounded when the salad was delivered to our table. It was not much more than the salad garnish which came with our omelettes, apart from a slice of feta cheese and a few olives - all in a very shallow dish. This was supposed to be a main course option. In hindsight I can't believe that I didn't complain at the time that such a pathetic salad had been priced at £11.99. Very shoddy!

This is my local Garden Centre and I visit regularly; the cafe is excellent, with a wide choice of food. Recently I visited for lunch with friends, when I chose a toasted panini with Brie, bacon and cranberry, it came with crisps and a salad, really delicious. My friends chose cauliflower cheese, which also contained some veg and came with garlic bread, reported to be very cheesy and excellent. Cakes are also delicious, although we didn't indulge this time. Highly recommended.

They serve breakfast, coffee and cake, followed by lunch which ranges from jacket potato and a variety of fillings to full blown meals. I go there regularly and have not had a bad meal. Unfortunately the free water container with a tap is broken and you have to pour from a jug.

Wife and I live maybe 2 miles from The Vineries and have been meaning to try their café for lunch for some time, eventually made it.What a let down! We ordered a light meal each plus a coffee. The latter were delivered pronto, but the food took maybe another 25 minutes to arrive on a day that was not busy. Worse still, I had ordered a mushroom omelette and when it was delivered it was difficult to work out what was on my plate. There was this yellow but mostly dark brown and black thing occupying half of the plate. I managed to scrape out the yellow bits bit the rest was simply not edible: I reckon I ate less than 25% of the so called omelette. What I think happened is that the cook had no idea how to prepare a mushroom omelette so he/she cooked the mushrooms then broke the eggs over the top and cooked the lot for maybe 10 minutes. Ugh! I should have rejected it and complained but did not do so.Will we go again? Certainly to the garden centre but as for the café? I don't think so.

My visits to the Vines coffee shop are always enjoyable. The location itself is like a 'best kept secret!'Normally I'd have coffee (which is always made how I like it) and cake..... I recommend the Carrot cake, it's the best I've tasted by far.Recently I've had baked potatoes, omelettes and Paninis which are always good; but let me tell you about the Soups! They are delicious. I particularly like the Cullen Skink, great flavours and all made by someone who cooks from the heart with a good palette for taste and quality! The aromas coming from such a small kitchen are a delight. The cafe is clean. It looks well organised and I've not had to wait too long for service like in some coffee shops. Pricing is about right if I'm comparing it to other places nearby. The staff are cheery and polite with a good meet and greet.Jo' who runs the place does a great job with her team.I've just viewed the Christmas menu which looks fab, so I'm looking forward to booking my sitting before I miss out on the wonderful festive fare!!!Thanks for making my visits enjoyable.... I will return.

10 of us attended a business breakfast organised by Leatherhead and District Chamber of Commerce last Wednesday and were well looked after by Jo and her team. A full cooked breakfast was served with eggs to our individual order and colleagues looking for GlutenFree and Non Dairy were catered for too!

As I live about 1 mile from The Vineries, I visit quite regularly and often have coffee or lunch in the café. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. There is a very good choice of food, ranging from soup, baked potatoes and toasted paninis through to the superb three egg omelettes and salads. The cakes are also very good, as is the coffee. In the last week I visited for lunch with a group of friends, there were six of us and the café was quite busy, but service was remarkably quick and everything hot and delicious. Between us we sampled brie and bacon panini, mushroom omelette, salmon salad and potato skins, followed by various scoops of ice cream, bakewell slice and a delicious chocolate caramel shortbread. Highly recommended.

My review is based on the Garden Centre. I have eaten in the Resturant and have to say the food was lovely, very friendly staff. However the Garden Centre staff and very rude. I regularly get my plants from here and any bits needed from here. I had a query over a special deal on planters I had purchased the day before, I had used my 10% off card, really nice idea. I was charged too much for the planters, the offer was £14.99 each or two for £24.98, I simply asked the lady, she may have been a manager, if the deal still applies if you use a discount card, I had my head bitten off and told, you had 10% off! I said o do understand that but the reason I purchased two was because they were on offer, again I was told I had 10% off. She then told the nice embarrassed gentleman to give me &£1.98, really not the point, I only had a query. Think this manager might want to do some customer service training. Shame as I will never visit again.

We have been to the vineries before and decided on a very wet Saturday to pop in for a spot of lunch. There was a limited lunch menu. Sadly no customer service skills with any of the staff in the cafe. Lots of young staff no smile or welcome and sadly we had to repeat our order four times! The only saving grace is the soup and sandwich offering was delicious! Please train the staff to be friendly, welcoming and at least make us feel we should be there rather than a inconvenience! We will be back as we are local but please please make us feel special next time!

Visiting this great value garden centre we had coffee one Saturday morning. It was busy with groups of customers. it was well staffed . Orders are taken at the counter and then brought to your table . For just 2 coffees this was rather slow, but the coffees were good including the decaf. A good range of cafe staples on the menu throughout the day . A good alternative venue to the local pubs and cheaper. Also plenty to browse at the garden centre and emporium.

We were in Ripley to visit a family member and popped in to the Half Moon for a quick en route. Well priced beer, good environment, and more to the point a proper friendly landlord and landlady. Wish we had a pub like this nearer to where we live, would never be out of the place. Would most certainly return if we were ever to be back in Ripley.

Incredible pub. Been a couple of times. Roast dinner amazing. Great value at £14.95 too. Kitchen hours now extended apparently so food into the evening. New owners are making slow changes. So far so good. Prices some of the lowest in the area. Very competitive.

The establishment exudes a welcoming ambiance, and the staff demonstrates exceptional affability. The pricing structure is reasonable, and the pastries are of high quality. The coffee is also quite enjoyable. I would certainly return for a quick coffee and a bite to eat.
