Got takeaway on just eat from “penisu” for the first time which turned out to be this Indian restaurant instead. Food arrived 30 mins late Prawn pengnang curry was cold and prawns were very over cooked and hard It was also swimming in oil Chicken Thai curry was cold and the chicken was old and overcooked It was also swimming in oil Dumplings were wet and fell apart could even pick them up with a fork Pad Thai was cold and more like a cake that needed slicing. Phoned to complain and he said that all he would do is a 25% refund, was very rude and said he had trouble from my address in the past. We have only lived here for a month so what happened before didn’t have anything to do with me. Terrible experience, terrible food, terrible service.

Went on my own had tandoori chicken and salad very good 👍

All chicken dishes delivered by were undercooked and pink inside. The mushroom rice smelled off.

It was the first time ordering here. We had a large family gathering so decided to get a curry. Very polite over the phone, they made a non menu item, and made alterations correctly. They missed one item, however I completely get that, it was a big order. They were very apologetic and the delivery driver was at my door within minutes. Great tasting curry's, soft naans, and the best bhajis. All round fantastic.

We've had takeaways from here that were delicious. Our group decided to dine in at the premises tonight and we loved it! Food is as tasty as ever. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend you either visit or get take away. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options so everyone can get something. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I have been living in Benfleet for the last one year. Honestly this restaurant is really excellent. Wonderful dine in experience , indoor is very good and the food was very delicious. The service was fantastic. They really care for their guest. Highly recommended for everyone to visit .

Ordered a takeaway and the chicken tikka is not like any chicken tikka I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I had a tikka main and my friend a Masala which neither of us could eat. It’s basically inedible. I personally don’t live in the area anymore and it happens to be friends or family who have ordered from there. This is the third time so now I have to complain about a meal i simply cannot eat. When I called to enquire as to how they cook the chicken, the chap was merely defensive and aggressive rather than taking any form of feedback. This is simply not a restaurant that fits the community I grew up in with poor quality food (yes, that you pay for) and an aggressive response. Be interested to see what their response is to this…

Food is excellent. Great restaurant but no atmosphere

We've been coming to village Indya for years. The food is always delicious, piping hot and well presented. It's definitely worth a visit.

Tried their ckn biriyani and ckn kebab both were really good🥰 they provided a fair quantity vegetable gravy which was complementary 😍😍😍 and i must say it was just amazinggg🥰🥰🥰🥰 got the same taste how my mom used to make it❤️❤️❤️❤️it was soo delicious 😍i will definitely order again inorder to get that mixed veg curry 🥰❤️

There was a piece of chicken in my “vegan tofu madras” which is really upsetting as I choose not to eat meat from an ethical standpoint.

Very good quality service and food

The food is very enjoyable. We order regularly but I am giving up with the online ordering system. There are a few faults with it which makes it time consuming and is enough to drive you to another restaurant’s system. I also don’t like the way chefonline wants you to enter your bank card details. Why not use PayPal? However, just to say, it’s the ordering system and payment system that is annoying. The food is good.

Food was not good, very overpriced and service was rubbish. Waste of money.

The atmosphere was dry, I would have gotten better food in the bin outside tescos and there is more flavour in a glass of water the toilets looked like the back streets of siberia. I wouldn't recommend to a friend or an enemy. 2 people got stung for 65 quid I haver never felt so violated.

Gone down hill. No flavour, non existant customer service. Stale popadoms. Update - I did actually contact you on the night and you argued with me about the lack of flavour. I was also told I would get a refund which I never did so hence the review. Sorry if you find this suspicious but you really need to up your customer service and food whilst your at it.

Good value for money, the naans were lovely, chicken tikka and pilau very different from others I've tried,sweet and mild, so if you don't like it hot it's perfect. If I'm honest it's not the best I've had, but I would defo go there again. A solid 7 out 10

Best restaurant in the area. Although currently they do only take out due to refurbishment. But still same great taste of authentic Indian curry. This place is a Must Try!

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from a take away.

First time getting takeout from here and it was disappointing. The bhajis were very tasty but the other dishes lacked flavour. The chicken korma tasted like it didn't have any coconut milk in it, never had one like it! Portion sizes were good and it's cheaper than the other Indian's around here, but taste was not up to it. It sort of reminded me of buying a jar sauce instead of making a home made sauce, a little artificial and lacking.

Korma tastes like cheese and I was eating my naan bread and thought it had egg shells in it but no it was charcoal! Awful, never again!

Absolutely delectable food, will leave you going for seconds each time. Can't rave enough about how great of a restaurant this is, would recommend it to anyone wanting a delightful experience of South Asian cuisine.

Excellent food and good quality

I have visited the restaurant, had takeaways delivered or collected many times but this last occasion was definitely the last ! I had a takeaway delivered on Sunday 30th May, I always get a chicken shashlik within my order. This was the worst shashlik I have ever encountered, you would have sent it back if it had been brought to your table if eating in. It was a bright red oily mess with some uniformed cubes of “chicken” swimming around in it ! I shouldn’t of eaten it, but being bloody starving I tried to, I ate half before leaving the rest, it tasted like Chinese chicken ? Was obviously fried pieces of frozen “chicken” ! Horrible, and my guts have taken until today, Thursday, to feel right again ! I will not be returning, they have lost a good customer!

Normally love this place, food is always good, unfortunately ruined this evening by the owners family children running up and down and screaming the place down, and no attempt to quiet them down at all. Shame has probably put me off

“Garlic chicken” was an insult. The chef just added in some chopped up garlic. It even tasted raw. Shame on you!!! You should find another job.

Visited early 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. People having takeaways served quicker. Large group of people that arrived after us got served before we did. Food wasn't hot. All seemed an effort. No food check. Have used this restaurant for several years but may be a while before trying again.

I have been eating curry regularly for about 15 years. I previously had a favourite Indian restaurant which I remained loyal to for years, however the owner moved away and I was left without a reliable source of my favourite food! I spent the next two years trying lots and lots of different restaurants and eventually found Village Indiya and was very impressed. I have now been eating here for the last 3 years and have never had a bad experience. The menu is varied, containing not just all of the 'standard' dishes but many imaginative and original specials as well. You can tell the ingredients are of a good quality and effort is put into making each dish delicious. The service is friendly and it is nice to see a husband/ wife combo working hard to deliver a great restaurant. All I can say is please do not get any ideas about moving away!!
