Delicious, beautifully served food, great space, friendly helpful staff. Delighted, as an Indian person myself, to find this gem. Oh! And the masala chai is divine

Food was fairly good and was a decent price. Staff were very rude and it felt like it was an effort for them to serve me. Perhaps they were just having a bad day but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Due to the lockdown this cafe was only serving takeaway. I ordered I lovely latte full of flavour. My son enjoyed his sausage sandwich. They do a range of breakfast meals, soups, jacket potatoes, soups and cakes. My favourite cafe in Romiley and the best value.

This is my favourite place for cooked breakfast in Romiley. it is a smallish cafe with limited seating. I went to the counter to order the breakfasts for my son and myself.I had the large breakfast. 2 lovely chipolata sausages which were very tasty, 2 rashers of thick sliced bacon which could have been cooked for slightly longer, a lovely thick slice of bury black pudding, 2 fried eggs slightly overcooked but still really nice, a big decent portion of baked beans, lovely whole tinned tomatoes, mushrooms which were from frozen I would have had fresh. 4 slice of thick white toast, a decent cup of coffe. My son had the standard breakfast which he enjoyed.Comfortable chairs to sit on. Pleasant service by the lady taking our order and the really nice man who served us. Overall a great experience. Clean and tidy cafe £12 all in. Easily the best for quality, value and service for cooked breakfasts in Romiley. They also do a range of sandwiches and other meals. Well recommended.

Arrived at the cafe. Took a little while to take our order. The tables had not been cleared but this was quickly done. I had a large breakfast 2 pork chipolata sausages very tasty, a couple of rashers of thick bacon well cooked and tasty, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, black pudding slices a little thin, runnyish fried eggs, average toast which could have done with more butter, instant white coffee they used to do machine coffee. My son enjoyed his sausage barm and cup of tea. Great decoration inside, a friendly welcome. Easily the best breakfast in Romiley.

This is the first time we had been in this cafe since it was under new ownership. Still a small cafe. Only 2 tables with seating. The rest are on woobly stools. They took a while to take our order at the counter. I ordered a large breakfast which had only 1 chipolata sausage would have expected 2. 2 slightly overcooked slices of bacon, average portion of beans, tinned tomatoes, nice portion of mushrooms, thinish slice of black pudding which was slightly overcooked. A lovely runny fried egg. One slice of toast. A lovely latte. My son enjoyed his sausage sandwich and tea. Pleasant service, if a bit slow.

If you want quality home cooked food in a nice environment this place is perfect! Nicki who has taken over is always friendly and has made the place look great! Liam is also lovely! My favourite are the the salad box’s you can pick whatever you want and you get a very good portion for the price. They also cater for buffets we recently ordered one for work and the selection and quality was excellent! Thanks Denise xxx

As Village Cafe is under new management I thought I'd give it a try with a friend of mine. All I can say is "what a great experience". REAL home cooked foods such as pies, lasagne, quiche with fresh salad, amazing breakfasts and all at amazingly realistic prices. I haven't been able to buy a large bowl of home made soup with crispy bread and butter at that price in maybe 10 years or so. The cafe is warm, inviting and comfortable with extra friendly staff who are extremely accommodating. I have to hold my hands up to the NEW MANAGEMENT....you are definitely the best cafe in the area now and my friend and I both give you 10 out of 10 for amazing food Thanks again Village Cafe, we will be returning regularly.

This is a lovely cafe, with a warm and friendly welcome. I ordered the large breakfast, I had 2 lovely big chipolata sausages full of flavour, a pile of baked beans, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, 2 thick tasty rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs slightly overcooked for my taste but still nice, 2 slices of black pudding getting a additional slice of black pudding instead of hash browns, doorstop slices of thick white toast and butter, a lovely latte full of flavour easily the best I have had in Romiley. WOW!! We used village cafe for our daughter christening and they had been referred to us by Romiley Cricket Club. What an incredibly service. The food was exceptional. It was fresh, delicious and hearty. Every single one of our guests went back for seconds. I can not praise Darren and his team enough for providing the best food I've had in a long time.

The best fish and chips shop in Stockpot. the fish is very good, value for money and friendly staff. This is much better than Grand Dad fish and chips. Not easy to find but worth it if you find this little gem

Found this little gem after a meal on google map and walked in- at first sight already liked the place cos it’s kept very clean and tidy (with kids all around!). Staff have a real passion about dessert- great variety menu including waffle, crepes, gelato milkshakes etc and even more delighted to see my fav proffertjes 😃😃😃(Holland mini pancakes). They made it really well- each mini pancake is crispy on the outside and soft and melting inside! Heavenly delicious and is way better than most of the ones I had in Holland! Will definitely come back.😌

Our whole family, children and grandchildren enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Walker’s Retreat. Just as we expected, the food was very good, catering to different diets and beautifully presented. Afterwards we were able to spill out into the courtyard where the younger children could safely play. Thank you Dawn for a memorable occasion

The restaurant is now named Vedaa and is under new management with qualified chef from India who prepares genuine Indian dishes full of flavours and aroma. I enjoyed their vegetarian dishes.
