Visited the Village in Upminster on Sunday 8th September with family and friends for a 60th birthday party. We decided to go for the buffet menu which was fantastic and even one member of our family who had only had an Indian meal once in his life, thought it was exceptional. The atmosphere was great and the service from Zuber and the team was first class. I would highly recommend the Village for birthday parties or celebrations. If you do decide to come to the Village, please be aware that you can bring along your own alcohol which contributes to an affordable celebration.

Had a takeaway and certainly one of the best we have had in the area. Food excellent and chicken nice and tender. Couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend it.

The food is different from the normal local Indian restaurants but is very good and tasty. They don't have a liquor licence but you can take your own alcohol (no corkage charged) and they do sell mixers and other soft drinks. As a result the dishes are slightly more expensive than other Indian restaurants but it all balances out in the long run! Would recommend!

Would 100% never go back to this restaurant again, the only two members of staff working last Thursday evening were not attentive came across bored and dismissive Lamb shop starters had no meat on them.. mains okay and they do not serve alcohol which is fine but if you do take alcohol just check your bill!!!!

We ordered early knowing that NYE would be busy. So at 6pm we expected a delivery time of about 2 hours. We were given an estimation of 1 hour 20 minutes. Please try surprised but thought it was unlikely. However after almost 4 hours our food finally arrived. In the meantime we phoned the restaurant 4 times, each time given a garbled excuse. Firstly it sounded like they had messed up the delivery address, but eventually we were told they were just too busy to cope. 3 hours after our order was placed our food still hadn't been cooked. Here's some free advice, if you cannot fulfill the orders you are taking then stop taking orders! Making people wait nearly 4 hours whilst you blatantly lie to them (it left 5 minutes ago, it should be with you right now). At one point the app said it had been delivered, which would've been nice as at that point it was only 2 and a half hours after ordering. But sadly no. So, after ordering at 6 we finally received food at roughly 9:45. Cold. Thanks very much! Avoid this place like the plague!!

Thought we'd try a new place and we wasn't disappointed. The place was lovely and clean, great decor and we felt safe. Its BYOB and the guys supplied clean glasses. We shared saffron biryani, chicken shaslic, pilau rice, saag aloo and plain naan. Wow, this food was fab. Loved every bit of it. Plenty of it too so had leftovers which they put into dishes in front of us. Would definitely visit again.

Visited the newly opened Village Indian restaurant and the food was the best. Service is excellent, deco very good and has C19 precautions in place. At present this restaurant is BYO but being opposite Waitrose no problem there. Would highly recommend.

A Hidden Gem with Authentic Indian Flavors – Exciting New Management! We recently visited this restaurant and were absolutely delighted by the incredible Indian flavors. Under the new management, the quality and authenticity of the food have only gotten better! Every dish we tried was packed with rich, aromatic spices and tasted just like traditional Indian home cooking. From the starters to the mains, everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation top-notch. Whether it was the perfectly spiced Shami Kabab, the flavorful Paneer Tikka, the delicious Soya Chaap, or the crispy and flavorful Fish Amritsari, each dish was a treat for the taste buds. The naans were soft and fresh, complementing the gravies beautifully. A special mention to Sameer Suri, the new owner, who has truly elevated the dining experience. His passion for great food and excellent hospitality is reflected in every detail, from the quality of ingredients to the warm and welcoming service. He personally ensures that guests have a fantastic experience, making the restaurant feel like a home away from home. The new management is doing an outstanding job, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to enhance the menu and ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian food. We will definitely be back for more!
