Viking Tandoori in South Tyneside

It has been an hour and 15 minutes over the delivery time we have called the restaurant and they said 10 mins which was 20 minutes ago never again!!!! How are we able to cancel and get a refund.

I ordered plain chicken bhuna and chicken dupiaza couldn’t eat it was far to hot they did replace the 2curries which meant the rest of the meal was cold quite rude aswell total disaster will not be ordering again

A twenty minute window, an hour to cook and deliver 2 meals and still late. Rang to discuss where food was and response was a hurried “it’s with the driver” answer. This place ‘used’ to be good, probably new poor staff living off its reputation

Great quality food. tasty, hot and fresh. went here because my usual was closed and too late to order from, think I've just found my new favourite and "usual" takeaway!

no flavour, reheated chips and received a plain naan instead of a garlic naan. awful in all

Onion bajhis were lovely but the rest of the meal was bland.

I ordered a chicken tikka masal and chips on the 15th , the chicken was dry , the sauce was cold and the chips were awful possibly even heated up , i couldn't eat my food so it was thrown away .. i would like a refund for my meal.. disgusting

Everything I ordered was beautiful. The chicken was tender, fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauces were beautiful. Never had one bad meal from here. Also the lad in the shop is really polite. Thanks again guys 👍

Perfectly cooked tasty food ,wrap was massive lots of chicken tikka , sauce in massala best around my partner recommends nowhere else

Mossala sauce best around , chicken madras great body to sauce big chunks in , chips are homemade delicious, nan bread cooked perfect.

Overall a good meal. onion bhajis not good though, more like fritters and not usual ball shape. 8/10

Lovely lamb curry however king prawn starter was skimpy, 2 prawns is disgraceful - a shame as I’ve always had a a good order from Viking

poppadoms are inedible, burnt, food is cold, I had to ring up and asked where my order was to be told it was still atvthe shop 45 minutes after delivery time, it's been made in a rush to get it out to me, the dish should not come is a sauce, its a dry dish and has come with malsala sauce. I will never return to Viking, the whole meal is ruined and sloppy.

Waited nearly 2 hours if you haven’t got drivers available please don’t take the booking a few weeks ago I waited 5 hours my son was in bed by the time it came no refund or apology tonight I had to microwave out meak because it was freezing starting to really lose faith in just eat and I spend a lot of money all I want Is my meal on time or near enough and for it to be hot

Food just absolutely spot on. Couldn’t fault a single thing with the whole meal. Nan bread prefect- curry perfection- rice tasty. 10/10 all around

Normally can't knock viking. Seems to be going abit down hill. Half a curry in the tin half in the bag not sure if they have changed chefs or what. It's a shame

Starters were fresh and hot, curries tasty

First of all it’s my birthday today and instead of going out with not feeling good I ordered from yourselfs it took 2and half hours to come then when it came it was cold and lots of water in it we have used you a good few times very disappointing

Food took nearly 3 hours to arrive. The driver handed it over and said “Here” nothing else. Rude AF. Going elsewhere from now on (Y)

I am so disappointed to say this, as this is or was the nicest takeaway curry available but unfortunately I will not be going back again. The last few times I have ordered the delivery has been late. But todays meal was not only 50 minutes late ordered on a pre book delivery of 6pm it was delivered stone cold and the onion barjis were so hard and burnt they were unedible. Ordered on Halloween, understandably a delay to our order. Food was tasty but not as hot as usual

Food arrived just after 20 mins from ordering, food arrived cold, the chips were rock hard along with the onion Bhaji, I felt like most the food had been quickly reheated in the microwave after sitting there for days which would explain why delivery was so quick, couldn’t even eat the chips or onion Bhaji’s due to them being so rock hard, very disappointing as this was once my fave Indian takeaway but won’t be ordering again.

The food was amazing, one thing I miss about my home town Bradford is the delicious curry, and it's not often I find somewhere in the north east who makes food that makes me feel like I'm back at home! Oh my these guys didn't disappoint! Big chunky chips with delicious curry that's just bursting with flavour. Considering it was very late, it was piping hot. Honestly couldn't fault the food and i will only be using this restaurant from now on when I want a delicious curry! Thank you so much for a delicious meal and amazing prices, we got 2 curries and 3 portions of chips and it was enough to feed me, my partner and our 2 children.

I did not receive my 4 poppadoms I paid for also when I requested my payment back for the poppadoms I have not received that either

Almost an hour later than allocated time slot. Called the restaurant - who ultimately had missed the order. Meal ordered at 1730 finally delivered at 1930.

ABSOLUTELY SUPERB... Quality of tikka chicken and tikka lamb was first class, and the portions were generous, and that's putting it mildly. The salad was nicely chilled and very fresh, with three cartons of mint sauce between just two of us. Will definitely order from here again.

Been a regular customer ordering from this place but the quality of food has gone downhill. Chicken wings were burnt, roti was undercooked and the rice dish had no seasoning.

Used to love this place, last couple of orders the curry has been watery and tasteless.

We ordered 2 kashmiri naan breads bit only one was with our order.
