View Bar & Grill in Cannock Chase

The View Bar & Grill is on the top floor of the Holiday Inn and we ate in it when staying at the hotel. We were very perplexed when trying to go from our room to the restaurant to find that there is no up button on the lift. When we called it using the single button it was going down. We managed to change this but to travel from room to restaurant yu may have go via the ground floor. The restaurant has a great view over the area. The menu is mainly pub fayre, bur we found the food tasty and the service was very good.

I had afternoon tea here little pricey but very nice food and natasha was very friendly. GREAT VIEWS OF CANNOCK

Staff are literally only interested in talking amongst themselves. I wanted a pint before bed, waited stood at the bar for over a minute before the three of them stopped talking to actually acknowledge I was there. Eventually they poured a drink. I sat down, the restaurant wasnt busy but enough people where there, and the staff were completely inattentive. I guess the view is that hotel guests will use this restaurant regardless so service is unimportant. Listening to them discussing their dislike of sport, their debates regarding smoking and guns wasn't the highlight of my stay

I have now been staying over for a couple of times in the Holidayy Inn hotel and the View Bar & Grill is the restaurant of the hotel. It is okayish and I would only recommend for easy meals (salad, pizza, burguer). Adventuring to other plates may not result in a good outcome..

What more can I say than what I have put in the title. The view is brilliant but what good is that when your food is rubbish?

We are staying at the holiday inn for the weekend and decided to eat in the restaurant on our first night. We both ordered pizza and it was lovely. I couldn’t finish mine as there was too much. There were quite a few people dining in the restaurant at the same time as us. If you’re staying at the hotel and looking for something convenient and pleasant then this is a good recommendation. Staff were polite and efficient.
