Vietnamese Street Kitchen in Birmingham

Wow!! We called in here for lunch as neither of us had tried Vietnamese food before. We chose the small plates, the idea being like tapas. From the moment that we arrived the service was excellent and nothing seemed too much trouble. We ordered four plates and some egg fried rice. We were totally blown away by the food and I think I, certainly, will never look at Chinese food the same way again (it pales in comparison!). The food comprised some of the tastiest dishes I have ever tasted. Unbelievably delicious spare ribs, chicken drumsticks and crispy prawns. We weren't as enamoured with the bao bun but I would travel to Birmingham again (or further) for those spare ribs and prawns again! Amazing!

The food was absolutely amazing! Couldn't fault it at all. Our cocktails were gorgeous, so thank you to the amazing bartender who made our drinks! Chefs kiss! Our waitress Faye she was lovely and attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend coming here. You won't be disappointed!!

Everything is perfect when I went it was relatively busy but food got to us after about 10 mins of ordering the food was superb I had street snacks which were brilliant but other meals looked incredible too staff were nice and there was a casual atmosphere.

4 out of 5. The food was delicious, freshly made. Only downside was that it took quite a while to be served and for our food to arrive.

A mixed review as some dishes were much better than others. The bao buns and small plates were the best part, they looked great and were very tasty. However my main had very dry rice and not enough flavour. I was surprised at this. It wasn’t bad…just rather bland and that’s not what I want from Vietnamese street food. Service was good.

Dung gave us such a brilliant service and he is really polite and careful! We will surely come back to this restaurant again!

Few negatives. Large party of us seated towards rear of restaurant. Felt like we were put there and forgotten. Only some got drinks by asking staff who walked past. We were told they were waiting for the rest of the party to turn up, so we were supposed to wait for them to arrive to be offered drinks? We had people who had cancelled, we could have been waiting forever, if we hadn’t decided to get our own menus. Empty glasses were staking up on the table even when our meals were served. Food was good but service was slaking. 2nd time eating there, 1st time as a group of 11. Not sure if I would go there again. Probably try the Resorts world venue instead

An extensive menu with lots of different choices. Nicely laid out restaurant. Service was okay - diligent at the start of the experience but took ages to get the bill and pay the bill. Food was plentiful. My friends seemed to enjoy theirs more than I did - but I did think it was fairly priced and decent value. I liked the option of a vegetarian menu. Overall, would visit again and would score 3.5.

Very busy buy was worth the wait, loved the big bowl noodles, crispy chicken strips were big on batter not so big on chicken sadly and did taste rather like they had been frozen? But overall friendly staff and very tasty food

Turned up at 6:45pm for our table. Waited until 7:05 as the woman let multiple tables of two in. We finally after reminding her we were waiting got a table and then we were ignored for 30 minutes no one came for our drinks or any type of order. Absolutely appalling customer service.

Bottomless brunch is a winner! We went at 7pm and it was super busy but the service was spot on, everyone was super friendly and really attentive, the minute you finish your drink, you’re offered another one straight away. The drinks choice was great and the cocktails were really yum. Then the food itself was lovely, big portions with lots to try - I had the vegan and my partner had a mixed meat one and they were both great. Thoroughly recommend that anyone goes immediately!!

I've visited a few times and never had any issues with food or atmosphere but Saturday night was ridiculous. We were seated next to a family with 3 kids who did not even try to control their kids and the behaviour. Asking serving staff to deal with this and they didn't know what to do or say to the family which just meant everyone around this family had to put up with it, we actually decided to leave early becuase we couldn't take much more. What a waste of an evening and money to have to put up with children throwing sweets, screaming in your ear and running bumping into our table. Just got worse as time went on. Learn how to deal with conflict!

We took advantage of the 2 for 1 big bowl offer and we are so glad we did! We will now add this to our list of favourite restaurants for future. Food was lovely, cocktails were great and service was above and beyond! We will be back soon to try some other things on the menu and definitely have more cocktails!!

This place is lovely - all the staff we very friendly and made us feel welcome - food was extremely hot and very tasty especially the Roast Pork and Chilli Chicken big bowls - the kids meal was good to - only down side was the service charge which I didn't see stated on the website, I always leave a tip if the service has been good so it wasn't a big issue. Will definitely be back when we're visiting Birmingham

Delicious food with lots of options for small plates and bigger portions. The fried chicken bao bun was the highlight - amazing! And incredibly friendly and lovely service from the staff. Would come back here again in a heartbeat!

Amazing food, my friend and I were full but made ourselves eat the rest as it was beautiful and neither of us wanted to leave even a bit! I had the salt and pepper king prawn (out of this world tasty) and my friend had Grandmas beef pho which was just unbelievably flavourful and the beef was just so tender, we will both be back! Staff are really friendly too, in fact they went out of their way to make sure we were happy, this is our new go to place to have lunch, please visit, I promise you will love it.
