Victoria Pub in Liverpool

Esta fue nuestra visita al Vic. Llegamos con el cuestionario en curso. El pub estaba medio lleno, pero tranquilo (¿quizás debido al cuestionario o quizás simplemente por falta de ambiente?). Mi otra mitad y yo entramos y nos dirigimos al bar. Una camarera se acercó a nosotros y preguntó dónde estaban nuestras máscaras. Vergonzosamente le expliqué que saldríamos sin ellos. Nos dijo que podíamos ir a la tienda de al lado para comprar algunos. Ahora se podría decir que 'solo estaba haciendo su trabajo'. Pero está haciendo su trabajo y haciendo el ridículo a dos personas agradables (clientes potenciales). Lo más importante aquí es que ella estaba visiblemente regodeándose. Entonces el punto es que nadie, ni los clientes ni el personal, usaban máscaras. Ella no lo estaba. Había asientos vacíos a unos pocos pies de donde estábamos parados, pero ella nos hizo hacer el paseo de la vergüenza, a través del pub, con todos teniendo algo de qué reírse. Basta decir que no nos rebajamos para intentarlo de nuevo como niños traviesos con nuestras máscaras y basta con decir que son otros dos clientes (que acaban de mudarse a la zona y buscan un local cálido para hacer nuestro refugio habitual) que estarán dando el Vic una amplia litera. PD. Fuimos al lado y pasamos una agradable velada en el Royal.

Bueno, ¿qué puedo decir, reformar el pub hecho en una buena mansión, el personal es muy amable y atento, la cerveza no ha terminado, querida, buenas noches en autobús y tren, cerca? Pruébalo, Derek.

Sin calefacción. . . quien quiere beber o comer a 8 grados centígrados, que es lo que la aplicación de temperatura de mi teléfono me dice que es. Igual que la temperatura exterior. Gestión de la forma. Estás destruyendo un pub local muy querido.

This is our local pub.... often visit for food/drink least twice a month. Used to live the service and food, even bought our family and friends when they came to visit us here but last few times it’s just got worse and worse..... been refunded on more than one occasion as our order forgotten, inedible or they didn’t have ingredients in. We’ve kept giving this place another chance but will now go further afield. Even for a drink we now go the the old bank down the road as forgiving the food, the service is now terrible. It’s almost like your intruding when you ask for a drink at the bar! I do wonder if it’s been overtaken in the last 6 months or so as don’t recognise any of the old friendly staff?

If you’re looking for a 30 minute wait for chips, crap beer and swearing behind the bar then you’ve come to the right place. Awful establishment awful staff.

We came in on a Sunday for a roast. We ordered two roast dinners, chicken wings and Sui Mais to all arrive at the same time. We then proceeded to wait half an hour for them to come over and tell us that the chef has no roasts left and we had to order something different. Then, we waited again for an all day breakfast to arrive at the table and nothing else. 5 minutes later, one of the girls came over and said they had no mash left for the sausage and mash we ordered but by this point my friend no longer wished to eat. We were still waiting for the chicken wings and Sui mais and by the time my friend had finished his food there was still no sign. We had to go to the bar and ask where the rest was and we were told that the chef had missed it off the order. Another girl then came over to the table and told us the rest of the food would be 5 or 10 minutes. We then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes and still no sign of the rest of the food. Nothing was offered to us whilst we were waiting and I think this service is out of order. Customer service is shocking. The manager, Joanne, kept explaining everything to us just kept blaming other people and was very snotty in her approach. We were getting up to leave and the chicken wings and Sui mais were getting brought out but by this point we were ready to leave. We asked them to get boxed up so we could take them away. We had to wait at the bar and then Joanne asked if we wanted a refund for the meal we didn’t have which is why we were waiting at the bar anyway. We then had to wait for a specific person to give us our refund. Joanne came over and did not say sorry but just told us we came on the wrong day because there was a match on earlier. By this point we had already heard so many excuses so we didn’t want to hear anymore. The girl doing a refund could see we weren’t happy so gave us a full refund. Didn’t communicate this to us and did not say sorry. Terrible service and we will not be going there again.

Very very disappointed that we waited so long for food and was told that it was taking so long because the chefs basically could not be bothered to go any faster. I would not recommend going here for food at all there was lots of others still waiting for food and said they waited well over an hour. Alot of people including ourselves decided on a refund as there was not much sign of food being served to anybody else. Even though it was around 7 o'clock they then began collecting in menus so irt seems as they were stopping food orders.

We came for our visit on a busy mother’s Day afternoon. Everything was great, friendly service and great food. We served by a friendly Irish girl who went above to help with our dietary needs. Highly reccommend this place if you are looking for a laid back family friendly pub

We booked the Victoria function room for my husbands 70th birthday party. It was very much a last minute decision and the day was wonderful. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Natalie and her two colleagues (sorry, we can’t remember theiir names) were really lovely. Andrew Roberts, Elite Catering, arranged the food and it was amazing. Would definitely use them again.

Visited this pub with a number of friends. Service behind the bar was terrible with only 2 members of staff on . Children playing darts with no supervision . This became very dangerous and we had to intervene. Other children playing and running around the pub whilst parents took no control .Ordered food and order not passed to the chef . Went and informed him as he was obviuosly losing custom. The owners mother was behind the bar and was struggling with the till which was causing more delay. After waiting to be served for over 20 minuted we all left and went to another pub. This used to be our favourite pub to meet as a group of friends but we will not be back.

Called in here ad hoc a week ago with my dad and brother having received some bad family news. Needed somewhere quiet to chat and have a cuppa tea. The staff, in particular Ann, opened up a separate part of the pub for us to sit in, brought us tea top-ups and some cheese on toast for my dad who was particularly upset. It was these acts of sensitivity empathy and care that spoke volumes about the pub and it's wonderful staff and I really hope the manager reads this. My dad was so touched that he gave Ann, a complete stranger, a big hug on the way out. Thank you to all the staff, you should be proud of yourselves xx. By the way, the pub/restaurant area looked really lovely too xx

Excellent service and food yet again! Chicken wraps and salt and pepper chicken burgers are gorgeous all at very reasonable prices. All fresh and very tasty.

Have been a few times through the week and loved it didn't want to cook on Sunday so tried a lunch and wow i wasn't disappointed, everything fresh hot and lots of it, nothing is too much trouble for the staff and its a very friendly atmosphere, would recommend to try this little gem you wont regret it, have a disabled person in my family and everything is clean and accessible.

This place was near our hotel and we just fancied a walk and a meal out - nothing fancy. It was absolutely great! The menu is extensive and all our meals were fresh and well cooked. Slightly sideways take on the usual pub fayre - I understand the owner is a chef which would explain it. Bright and airy and clean place, quite busy but not overly, and friendly bunch!

We were in Liverpool for a funeral and had left the Hotel for a bit of a stroll after the service. We literally just fell on this pub and decided to pop in for a quick drink and use the loo and continue our walk. WOW. we were blown away by the immediate chit chat and laughter from both the customers at the bar and the staff behind the bar. What a lovely warm welcome, we ordered drinks and sat down at a table where my partner picked up a menu and asked if I fancied something to eat. Knowing that meant that she did I said yes. She ordered the rib eye steak and I ordered the fish and chips. Both meals were served to us looking very, very, nice and we weren't disappointed. My only problem was that I wasn't really hungry so couldn't finish the meal off. We had two visits from members of staff asking if everything was ok with our meal which it was but I felt embarrassed that I couldn't eat it all. Best chips that we have ever had in any pub or restaurant, they were to die for and cheap drinks as well. Amstell lager was lush. Would deffo recommend this pub to anyone. They have Sky and B.T. sports as well.
