I happened to be using her recently and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. I The food was spot on. It was cooked fresh there and then, obviously, you have to wait for that to happen, but it's worth it. If I'm passing again, then I'll definitely pop in for more.

I called in at Victoria Fish Bar one evening last week when passing through Diss. I only purchased a portion of chips and battered sausage to take away but thought at the time that they were worthy of a review. Quite honestly, as good a portion of chips as I have ever had and excellent value. The battered sausage was of good quality with a lovely crispy coating of batter. Thank you.

Bought from here a few times. I can only speak for the chips as that is all I have ordered. Chips have always been 10/10 for me. Very nice. Service very quick too despite always being busy.

First class chippy with great service

Drove past many times when working so decided to visit. Fantastic piece of cod with lovely batter.The portion of chips was so large had to leave a few as full up.Will be back as great value for money.

Soggy, insipid and old tasting fish and chips for £10. There is one simple yet critical rule that must be followed - the batter must be crispy.

Worst Chippie ive ever had in my life! reviews seemed good well I was very mistaken, doesnt close til 9pm went around 5.30pm, chips were that greasy thats all you could taste, the pie and curry sauce was microwaved, when I saw what they was doing, asked for my money back as didnt want everything microwaved but was refused. Very overly priced for disguised food!

I am sorry to write this as the food is lovely. Just not enough of it. May be ok for tiny eaters but we like fish and chips once a week and tried it for the first time as we have just moved to the area. The lady put the fish on top of the chips and I couldn’t even see any chips. I even commented ‘is that a small portion’ and she said regular. I was really disappointed but thought ok we will try them again as they are closest to us so I ordered a large fish and chips last night so my husband and I could share them. Again a real disappointment. Could hardly see any chips under the fish. I should have taken a picture but I was too busy buttering bread as the fish was certainly not a large one. For the price, and I know everything has gone up but what a disappointment. We will be going elsewhere from now on 😢

Portion sizes are tiny, absolute joke, wouldn't feed a hamster. Would never use this shop again.

Lovely staff. Super food. Sat outside in the sunshine, on their outdoor seating, and ate their super scrummy, fish and chips.

It's in a bit of an awkward location, but the staff are great and the food is lovely. Upon my first ever visit the man behind the counter gave me a fish for free on top of what I had ordered. This was a fantastic first impression for me. I don't go often, due to not eating take out much, but if I ever do fancy the chippy, this is my go to one.

Great fish and chips, with a fast and friendly service. Even when they're busy, if you phone your order through in advance, they usually have it ready in 10-15 minutes.

We come here often, the Fish and chips with crispy batter and are tasty, good flaky fish. Fishcake sometimes over done. Chips are good and generous portions

Very good fish and chips,but they always ask for cash instead of a card. They do take a card but ask for cash which I find annoying.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was made fresh. The shop is spacious with seating and tv for waiting. The fish and chips were very nice, full of flavour. Also there is customer parking to the rear.

Great fish and chips, rapid service

Law states that businesses MUST wear face covering but here, only the lady does. Small positions and even when in a international pandemic, they insist on cash only, setting minimum spends and pulling paces if you don't meet the amount. Very rude, disrespectful to all customers by not covering up and generally not worth a visit. Would not recommend.

Great quality fish and chips.Fish was really good and flaked beautifully but small for being a large cod and nice chips but for the cost the potion sizes are small compared to other chip shops in the area which are just as good.

Got to say delicious Cod & Chips and freshly cooked , good size, not greasy (like some are 🙂) good menu choice for other things and sizes , drinks available too and great fast service , it's possible to eat in but limited space so check first, well priced so worth a stop off

When for the 1st time chips for OK Cobb road was burnss chips were crispy and Burns I didn't like it I should be going back

I've had 3 meals from here and cannot fault it.

Went in for the first time tonight, went for a medium cod and chips, normally sceptical of getting cod because I’ve had bad experiences at different chippys. All I can say is I wish I’d gotten a large, it was cooked beautifully, the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time

always have cod and its always been cod not like others in town who says its cod and it's that cheaper finger mushy type fish very naughty,will be back

The cod was over cooked to the point where it was in-edible. Chips soggy and oily. Oil badly needed changing! Couldn't be bothered going back as long way just to change. Friendly enough staff and nice and clean. Don't be taken in by the award winning chip shop sign. These competitions are run by a company that uses them for promotion so every chip shop that enters becomes 'award winning". Sadly will not return.

Fantastic fish an chips well worth a visit.

Awful food. Undercooked fish, in old oil that was not hot enough to poach the fish within the batter. And how can you make chips taste so bland, even with salt on? Shame, as it's a clean place and the staff are friendly. Not sure where the claim of "Award Winning" came from. Probably the local printing place.

Staff are friendly, but the food is dreadful for the price, me and my partner ordered a chicken wrap each, boom in the microwave goes 6 little bits of breaded chicken, barely worth £4.50, the only salad they have is lettuce, and when we got home and opened the paper the insides of the wrap fell out, was not wrapped properly, not that there was much filling to fall out, will never return.

Our favourite chip shop. Won't go anywhere else.

First time here. Fish was lovely and hot, staff were engaging and food was overall tasty, with free parking round the back. Perfect!

Not great. I always order haddock hoping fresh cooking. I ordered haddock from here, for the first time and probably last time, as it was definitely double cooked, over cooked batter and over cooked fish, probably lunch left overs. I wanted a fresh fish supper. Large order too for family. Good friendly service but I know food and they pulled a cost saver stunt. Sorry guys not coming back despite loyalty card.

Ordered large chips pineapple fritter, scrap pieces and a curry sauce, chips were more like a small, half a pot of curry sauce and no scraps, cheers guys for ripping me off!!
