Victoria Coffee Lounge in Eastbourne

Tired of the usual high street places that can be found everywhere else so opted to stop here for a snack. Spotlessly clean and food hearty and flavoursome. Proprietor and staff very pleasant and when we visited Eastbourne a month later we didn't need to discuss where we wanted to eat.

Lovely place to have a hot chocolate and a coffee in the evening they did decaf which was quite important, Lovely chap running the coffee shop, will be back for a large hot chocolate with big marshmallows.

Good Clean, coffee house serving good coffee , prices average. Nice outside seating area.

Looked great from outside , however my wife ordered Ham and Pea soup which was so salty she could not eat it, when we told the waitress she said that as a spoon had been in the soup they could not exchange it for something else!, although it was so salty, she then just ordered a salad - very basic and charged GBP 12.00, my wife then asked for extra hot water as her tea was very strong, told by the waitress that they could not do that !!, have to say that myself and a friend had bacon , brie and cranberry paninis which were great. Pity that our visit was marred by a lack of reasonable service and indifferent attitude concerning the soup.

If you're looking for THE BEST COFFEE SHOP in Eastbourne then Victoria Coffee is the place to go!!! THEY truly know how to make coffee and each and every time their coffee is amazing! As someone who is a coffeeholic and who has tried coffee nearly everywhere in Eastbourne and worked in catering myself there aren't many places that know what REAL coffee is about, therefore I am very grateful to Victoria Coffee and happy I found them! Have been going there since they opened and am a regular and can confirm the owners and staff are extremely kind, friendly and make you feel very welcome! The coffee shop itself has a very warm atmosphere to it and is very clean which is another thing worth mentioning as they truly take care of the place, especially the toilets! I personally always order a latte for myself but their iced coffees and cakes which I have from time to time are divine! (especially the blueberry and lemon) I recommend it to everyone and anyone looking for a relaxed, cosy and nice place to sit near the seaside. They have tables outside for those like myself who like to be out in the sun, and also every time I take friends and family with me who order other drinks and food, they have always left very happy and letting me know that they would go again!

Was invited to visit here with Annabel and kids and must say it was a delightful visit. The lounge exudes modernity and beauty. The staff's warm and friendly demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere. The coolers were delightful, and the cakes looked scrumptious and mouth-watering. The cleanliness of the lounge further enhances its appeal, making it a highly recommended spot. Thank you to everyone xx

We had had dinner and were looking for someone to sit outside and have a cocktail. A nice little place next to the pedestrianised part of Eastbourne - or it was pedestrianised for the festival. The desserts looked fabulous. Maybe next time.

Amazing coffee shop, I am a regular customer and always receive 5 star service. In my opinion this is the best coffee shop in Eastbourne and that's due to the Amazing food and lovely staff. Try the peri peri chicken panini or the tuna sandwich.

Great service from all members of staff, very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious from the sandwiches to the desserts. Best coffee ive had in a very long time. Highly recommend. Will be visiting again definitely.

A small family business who have worked so hard to achieve where they are now. The family and staff are the most lovely and welcoming people and will do anything to make you happy and support your needs. They have excellent customer service and the food and drinks is high quality. Victoria Coffee Lounge is definitely the best coffee shop I have ever been too and never fail to put a smile on my face❤️ I would 100% recommend coming here!

The food is lovely and i just had a great time in eastbourne i had many experiences with coffee shops and this is the best one! The cakes were so delicious. Very friendly staff, felt homely.

Have been coming here since they opened, by far the best coffee shop in eastbourne! We are always welcomed by the lovely staff and are shown nothing my impeccable service! The owners and staff go above and beyond for us, making changes to the food they serve to accommodate my little sister who is fussy with food and always checking how we are and ensuring we have the best time! We love a cheeky cocktail too in the evenings, the vibes are immaculate!

Bad costumer service angry man behind the counter

I was really looking forward to visiting this cafe but was not prepared for the reception I received. I started heading through the door and spotted a space that I could fit my small car boot Mobility scooter in and was shouted at by a man behind the counter saying “CAN YOU LEAVE THOSE OUTSIDE PLEASE”. This shocked me as there were only 3 other customers in there and I have never been turned away from any other premises in Eastbourne. I was shocked and upset and turned to my Dad and said we are obviously not welcome here and we left. I Am disabled and telling me to leave my mobility scooter outside is like me telling you to leave your legs outside! I left a comment pointing out how upset I was on their Facebook page thinking maybe they would give me an explanation or apology but instead they deleted my post and Blocked me!!! Unfortunately not disabled friendly!

Felt the need to write this as it has become apparent that people are trying to sabotage this lovely cafes reputation due to another persons mis-interpretation of how something was politely asked. This is a lovely little cafe with beautiful food and a lovely coffee, lovely chilled atmosphere, always made to feel welcome and staff work incredibly hard. This restaurant is cosy with not a lot of space for mobility scooters to be parked in random places making it unsafe for other diners and staff so depending on the size of the mobility scooter I can understand why the customer was politely asked to leave it parked outside. There is outside seating as well so she could’ve sat outside if this was an issue. I feel it is unfair to sabotage a business reputation when others do not know the full story and may not have visited here themselves. Ignore the reviews, this is a wonderful cafe, go and see for yourself before joining in on random slander.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from one your employees telling a disabled person to leave There mobility outside. When your shop only had three customers at the time. I won't be visiting this store and I'll get all my family and friends to leave bad reviews Until you make a public apology. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR

Despicable behaviour today to almost throw a disabled person out of thier shop. Eastbourne should know about this behaviour and avoid it.

Great service and friendly staff cake was really good

I’ve been here a few times, and each visit has been very good. They have one of the best selections of homemade cake available from any coffee shop in Eastbourne. Tony and his team are always polite and friendly, and the coffee is good too. Worth a visit if you're at the seaside end of Terminus Road.

We live in the area, Friendly staff, friendly owner, excellent service They make a great coffee and always have a wide selection of freshly baked cakes to complement it. When eating in the food would always come with a small salad or some doritos, the coffee always comes with a small biscuit Great attention to detail. Support this business

Really enjoyed our time here today. Great, friendly service and delicious food. You get a nice little break from the crowds whilst still being close to the sea. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and a bite to eat.

Lovely food(jacket potatoes) cake was amazing. Lovely friendly owner. Certainly no loud music, comfortable environment spotlessly clean and well decorated. Some of the cleanest toilets in a coffee shop in Eastbourne. Now we have found it we’ll certainly return.

Excellent food here and good value. However it's not particularly relaxing in there. Rock and wedding reception background music at lunchtime isn't likely to put you at ease. I bet it's like that for breakfast too. Luckily it wasn't played too loudly. And the lighting was far too bright. 50% less would have been an improvement.

We come to see Tony in his lovely coffee lounge every time we come over from France. Always very enjoyable.

Impressed by the reviews we went in one morning. The food was very good and they gave us generous portions, but they played cod rock just a bit below loud pretty much the whole tme. I like a bit of rock myself, but when you have gone in for a bit of posh it was a surprise and the opposite of relaxing. Friendly service but they kept leaving the door open on a cold day. That plus the music meant it felt like an in-crowd kind of place. Has to be a miss I'm afraid.

First time at this establishment for me and my partner, best panini I have EVER tasted 🤤 my flat white was beautiful, milk was not burnt and was very creamy, we will most definitely be coming back when we venture into the town center 💯

This is our favourite place to have breakfast in Eastbourne. The brie, bacon and cranberry and the tuna melt paninis are delicious, the service is quick and nice.

Me and my daughter came here for lunch I had a jacket potato which was hot in places mostly cold not good at all told the owner who said sorry about that as he was walking away not good customer service disappointed

Visiting from Newcastle upon Tyne for 4 days and eat here 3 times, the food is excellent, owners are very friendly giving 1st class service, the food is definately high quality, we had amazing food, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, homemade quiche and the most amazing cakes, the coffee lounge it's self is spotlessly clean, a very welcoming environment to sit in, so if your in the area give them a try, i'm sure you will not be at all disappointed, you are more likely to become a regular. Will definately be back next time we are in the area.p

Wow, what can we say! Supremely welcoming staff, wonderfully tasting home made cakes and really decent coffees. Great choice of milk alternatives too. Our daughter spilled her hot chocolate and they could not do enough to help and brought her a new one on the house. A great find out of a very busy street full of eateries. Just happened to be walking by in search of a quick bite for lunch and this place looked new, I'd certainly not noticed it on previous visits to Eastbourne. The display cabinet of sandwiches and cakes looked fabulous, so took a chance. Very glad I did! My mozzarella, tomato and pesto flatbread was delicious and very fresh. My coffee was excellent too. The team were all really friendly and super helpful. Liked it so much I stopped by much later for a beer! Definitely recommend 👍

Coffee wasn't bad. Cakes might be worth a try next time. However, like most coffee shops, it's getting expensive just to have a coffee outside.

Very clean drinks lovely cakes . We brought 2 cocktails 2 cakes and a pint of beer for my brother . However when he went to the toilet was asked on a very loud voice had he brought a drink to which he said yes then she said you all ready been to the toilet once . Very upsetimg for my brother Plesae when we get older we may need to go to the toilet more then once

First visit to this lovely modern cafe on Terminus Road - staff couldn't be more helpful and had lovely outside seating, perfect for watching the world go by whilst eating and drinking delicious food. The selection of paninis, sandwiches, quiches and cakes was fantastic - panini came with side salad and some tortilla chips and the coffee was delicious - would I recommend this place, absolutely I would and it will be top of my list of places to go when in town - charming 😋

Lovely italian coffee and cheese cake. A lovely selection of cakes & paninis. Id highly reccommend it. My partner cant fault it either and hes fussy Staff are very friendly.

We were looking for a place to have a cappuccino but ended up having some lovely panini. The one with chicken and chorizo was esquisite. The staff was really helpful. We will definitely come back as we're impressed by the quality of the products and the service.

The food is freshly prepared each day and the quality, presentation and choice is outstanding. The coffee is excellent, and the place is very clean and comfortable; the toilets being sparklingly pristine. An unreserved recommendation from us!
