I know I speak for many people, when I say that it is very sad to see the Victoria Cafe close, and never re-open. It came as a sad surprise when we tried to visit during 2022, and saw the notice on the door. A truly remarkable business, which was iconic to Scarborough. Offering exceptional menu options, quality of service, and value for money which could not be matched anywhere. It was a treat and privilege for me and my friend from the Scarborough Evening News to have dined there on our lunch break - for so many times ... and over so many years.

The Victoria cafe is a lovely cafe that offers a range roast dinners or meals with chips if you prefer. The puddings are to die for and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Very good cafe. Bit out of the way from the front but all the better for that. Good value for Money and tasty food. At the moment only open Wednesday and Sunday according to the notice so a lucky find. Excellent Roast Beef Dinner. Would recommend it anytime if you want a quiet meal without the noise of the Front.

Went here for the first time yesterday, really generous portions and the food is delicious. As others have said, 3 courses for £6.50 is a bargain, however for me I couldn't eat it all and I felt a bit rude having to leave some (will maybe take some tupperware to take leftovers home next time!) Would benefit from some sort of lighter option (just a smaller portions option would be great for me) but can't really fault it at all. Note it's cash only, I don't know if this is usual or just when I visited (as I didn't see a sign), but I only had card on me and had to walk all the way into town to get some cash out so I could go back and pay. 5/5 though, all in all!

Fantastic little cafe my only criticism is the gravy. It’s a subjective view but I don’t like gravy over everything might Be better to serve gravy separately. But food plentiful and hot and great value for money!!

We had Sunday lunch here and was amazed to get a 3 course meal for £6.50. The portions were huge and I could only manage a little bit of treacle sponge. Clean, friendly, good location and lots of space. Don't pay seafront prices and be crushed. Get your Sunday dinner at Victoria's.

What a fantastic cafe serving lovely home cooked food. Had the three course Christmas lunch today - vegetable soup followed by roast turkey with all the trimmings and a choice of Christmas pud or various steamed puds. All of it was absolutely delicious - you will need to be very hungry to finish all three courses as the portions are huge. Lovely friendly waitress, great value for money, and extremely clean cafe - will definitely be returning.

We have been to Scarborough many many times and missed this little gem of a cafe. If you are looking for wonderful, home cooked food at amazing prices, look no further. We had a 3 course Christmas lunch yesterday and it was first class. The lady who owns the cafe was lovely, so friendly. You can see that she has 'regulars' but she also made us feel very welcome too. If you are looking for great home cooked food at low prices this is the place to be. Where else can you get a delicious a course meal for £5.95? Opening times are 11.30am till 2pm Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. This will definitely be our 'go to' place.

Found this little gem in the heat of scarbourough after a long trek up the steep hills and I couldn't believe how cheap it was 95p for a drink... Now your talking. The staff was plesent as we walked in she said have a seat and ill take your order in and you can pay when you finish. It's cheap and cheerful and do 3 course dinners at little prices from £4.50p which is brilliant in my eyes for a seaside resort cafe as everywhere you go on the front you pay more than you expect. Will be Deffo coming back to this little gem on our next visit.

As a group of family and friends, we wanted somewhere that would provide a home cooked Sunday Roast without the washing up! The portions made sure that no one went hungry, and the price was so reasonable that even the most thrifty of us is still talking about what good value it was! As a large group, we had to split over 2 tables, so I would recommend that you book. Staff were helpful and polite. Thanks

My wife and I visited after seeing a sign scribbled on a chalk board during the day. It's an innovative little pop-up based in the vaults under Scarborough Market Hall, where there are craft and vintage shops by day. Manned by owner Paul who is very knowledgeable and chatty, we were treated to some superbly kept wines in a quietly informal atmosphere. It's a far cry from the hoi-polloi and bustle of Scarborough drinking holes, and one which must be prized. Top work, we'll be back.
