Vibes Bar & Kitchen in Runnymede

Despite the reviews, we came here with good expectations - surely it'll be alright, right? It took quite awhile for our order to be taken, and we had to repeat ourselves several times. The server seemed to not really know the menu at all. However, when we asked for substitutions, he offered to ask the kitchen and come back, which I appreciated. The Yorkshire wrap wasn't really a Yorkie, more a pancake, and was quite rubbery, and did not taste very good. The ratio of pork to stuffing was low. The mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders were good, hot, and seasoned well. The bangers and mash was room temperature, but tasted good. The smash burger was good (can't really mess up a burger, can you?), and the substitutions were correct. The drinks were quite watered-down. A tomato in one of our salads had mould on it! Overall, considering it's a restaurant at a theme park, it was alright. Not somewhere I would particularly want to go again, though. The prices were reasonable.

Stayed in may half term so expected it too be busy but service was terrible. We booked table but 45 minutes after still no appropriate table. We sat at the bar tables and then waited another 20 minutes for menu. We did get 20% off our food however chicken burger came out stone cold and second plate had a hair on it.Value for food was good. Excuse given short staffed. Not acceptable when they know accommodation is full.

Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt. Me and my partner had breakfast and dinner here and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was great; the bacon was crispy, the pancakes were sweet and fluffy. There was such a variety of choice and the staff were very consistent at restocking the juice too! Not to mention this was a free breakfast included in our stay, I'd have happily paid for it. As for dinner, again the food was great. That guy that was running the quiz was absolutely brilliant too! It really made the atmosphere lively.

We ate here during dinner time and breakfast buffet. The food was okay as well as the price, it just needs a little improvement. The bread on the pasta is hard and the apple juice had almost no taste at all. But the atmosphere is good especially during dinner. They have this kahoot games to entertain the customer. Food was served fast.

The most awful experience I’ve ever had!! The food was cold and awful the manager was so rude and didn’t care at all!! Worse service we’ve ever experienced in our lives!! Cheap nasty food - don’t waste your time or money coming here! The only good thing was two young bar men were very friendly! Sent our food back because was cold but they refused it and refused a refund too am now putting together one big heavy complaint!!

Myself and my partner just came back from a two night stay at the park. We disagree with the bad reviews. The only fault we found was the very very tiny vegetable/coleslaw portions. Yes, the food was not gourmet but it's simple bar food, and was tasty and filling and pretty cheap. It was a decent meal that didn't break the bank and didn't make us ill like the Thorpe Park KFC did! We had the Yorkshire Burritos (5 stars from us) the first night, and the second I had a cheeseburger (5 stars) and my partner had the katsu curry (5 stars) The breakfast was all you can eat, and we thought it was actually delicious. The sausages were perfect, the hash browns were crispy. Some bacon was cooked crispy and some softer so you had the choice, and all the other options were yummy too. The cleanliness was amazing, nothing was dirty or sticky, and the service was lovely. We are glad we tried the restaurant despite the reviews. At the end of the day, staying on site you're not going to have some incredible restaurant, because thats not the main attraction. The place was clean, the food was nice, and it could get away with being a lot more expensive just because its onsite, but its not. We recommend trying for yourself.

Slam burger meal awful. Burger horrible, fries were ok, coleslaw non existence littersl a tea spoon levelled worth. Wish I had checked before i ate here.

Worst Experience Ever… Food was awful, wouldn’t even give the Yorkshire burrito to my dog. The Garlic bread was hard. cold and tasted of oven. Atmosphere was even worse… we asked to be near the window and was sat right in the middle of several loud and rowdy families. Arguments broke out and security had to come in. We did get a partial refund in the end after discussing with staff. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, terrible experience- we ended up getting alternative food in Chertsey

Had a Yorkshire pudding wrap with some fries and it tasted really nice. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are lovely.

We arrived just at closing 8.30pm and was seated with no problem, ordered the pork burrito (Yorkshire pudding wrap) which came with very tasty seasoned fries, green beans and a pot of gravy, the wrap was delicious, we was worried after reading the reviews but so glad we went anyway, delicious and great value for money with friendly service will definitely be back again and have the same

Please don’t take anyone gluten free here!! Service was poor, server couldn’t understand what we were saying/what we wanted, she seemed lovely, we needed somewhere that had something gluten free for someone i was with. When we asked what gluten free options they had, the lady went to grab this maybe 5-10 page long list of all allergies and what foods fit the allergies which was very confusing. They had a couple of gluten free options so he ordered a burger with a gluten free bun. The bun was “cakey and falling apart” as he described it. The chips weren’t very hot. I’m quite a fussy person when it comes to food but when it’s something i’ll eat i’m very easily pleased. I LOVE mac n cheese i have it ATLEAST once a week sometimes more. When i saw there was mac n cheese on this menu i immediately ordered it. It was £10 for the meal with two slices of garlic bread. It came out and it had clearly been scooped out of a large dish and been reheated. I know some reheated mac n cheese when i see it. It was in a block, it had a brown tint to it, the cheese that should’ve been crispy on top was kind of chewy, it was mushy like most reheated mac n cheese and worst of all it smelled horrible. Best believe i took one bite and didn’t eat anymore. The garlic bread was lovely tho, a little too crispy but that doesn’t bother me. My mum kept telling me to put the dish on the empty table next to us because of how bet it smelled but i didn’t want to seem rude. Once again, none of my family a picky eaters and we are easy to please, I’m a very picky eater when it comes to food and only like very few things but i’ve never been upset about something i’ve been given, i’m very easy to please when it comes to the dish itself.

The service here was amazing, food and drink absolutely superb absolutely amazing, they just do things perfect, especially the server we had every day of our stay, Edwin who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Thanks Vibes team!

Do not eat here. Waited 2 hours for food and it came out and no wanted to eat it. This was annoying and I will never again do it

Ordered Macaroni Cheese with Garlic bread, before the food arrived I thought this was reasonably priced, however when it arrived it came in an odd cube shape, the pasta and sauce was stiff and not the ‘creamy cheese’ sauce described at all. It had absolutely 0 flavour and was very unappealing to eat, the garlic bread was a slice of panini bread that was so hard to chew I thought i was gonna break my teeth at one point. Shortly after eating this food, I started vomiting it all up profusely, and felt absolutely terrible, shakes ect. Drinks were reasonably priced however the mixer cost in addition to the spirit made it quite pricey. The atmosphere itself was great, and the quiz was a lot of fun, however I wouldn’t choose to ever eat from here again.

went here yesterday and today, ordered mac and cheese on the first day of us staying hers. we paid £400 for two nights here, we was expecting at least a free breakfast/dinner as they told us to choose between breakfast and dinner to book. we chose dinner as we arrived at 4pm. The mac and cheese was Miniscule, waited around 40 minutes for the food to be done, people who had came in after us got their food before us. Came tonight, waited 3 minutes to be seated as you can’t just walk in. Then another half an hour to even be asked or seen about even the slightest order. Then proceeded to give us a 10% discount which took our meal down from £33 to £30. The food is alright, not what you would expect coming to a major theme park. We got two meals and a starter not even a drink ans it cost us £30. The portion is not worth it. Staff are lovely but look lost half the time. was even considering ordering maccies.

Paid £5 to wait for about an hour for the blandest garlic bread humanity has ever defrosted. Cajun fries also taste like frozen fries with half a cup of Schwarz powder on it. Only come here if you don't value your time or money.

This has to be hands down the worst theme park breakfast I have ever experienced. Watered down coffee in a flask, watered down fruit juice that tasted like cordial, a regular household 4 slice toaster, the cheapest sausage you could find and bacon with more fat than meat. We tried to book in as ance to be told there was a waiting list, then told at the park the system was broken and to just go and hope for the best. No thanks, you should be embarrassed to deliver this kind of slapdash service to anyone

I had a good time eating here and want to thank a really nice lady called Shelley who was very kind and polite and provided excellent customer service and served me with a smile every time. Big thanks to Shelley :).

The food tasted okay, but when I got home, I started to feel sick and threw up. The reason I ate there during my visit to Thorpe Park was because Burger King and KFC and other reputable establishments had insanely long queues (pity they didn't do fast-track tickets for them). Now I wish I'd waited. I knew it was nothing to do with the rides because I would have thrown up on the rides, not when I got home that evening. Plus, before the vomiting, I also experienced chills and a fever. I checked on the NHS website and concluded that these are the hallmark symptoms of food poisoning.

So for food need wait around 1:30 min 🙄 Asking staff about food says 5 min but still sitting 30 min and no food , so nice . When the food is brought , the burgers are so cold , 🙄

Great food i had bbq goujon and a portion of fries shared between me and ny daughter as a light lunch. Very tasty and reasonably price. 12 total fed 2 comfortably

They serving Caesars salad which was not caesar salad… I was last time here

Stayed at the shark cabins so popped over for dinner. The staff really don't want to be there. The prices are high. The food is pretty poor e.g. a chicken burger is just a dry bun with the cheapest frozen chicken strip possible in it with a processed cheese square thrown on. Some stem from an iceberg lettuce also made it's way in there. For around £20 a head for a meal and drink, this was one of those occasions where I just felt Thorpe Park was taking the piss out of me. Plan ahead and grab something from Burger King or elsewhere in the park before it shuts. This is ok for desperate measures only.

Great staff, a big thank you to Shelley who went out of her way to make sure I had what I needed. Lovely breakfast and good place to wait while teens went on more rides than I could manage!

We were staying overnight so it made sense to eat at the vibes bar and kitchen. This is not a review from someone who is picky or finds fault with everything like some, but is an honest representation of what we got. As a family of 4 we looked at the limited menu and after eating at the park during the day myself and my husband just wanted something lighter / healthier. So chose a side salad and a portion of chicken each. Our 8 years old had the choice of a burger or quorn nuggets which he understandably wanted neither so we had to pay £12 for house fries and 3 bits of chicken. When our food finally came out after an hour, the salads were missing. We told someone after finally tracking down a member of staff. 10 minutes later, our chicken is stone cold and still no salads. We ask someone again. They finally come out and honestly I cannot believe the Caesar salad that I paid £6.50 for. Like I thought they were joking. The quiz was fun and the bar staff were good but my honest review is that the food choice is limited, the quality extremely poor and very expensive. We had what could only be classed as small starters and dry salads plus a few soft drinks and it was £90 for the 4 of us. My youngest didn’t even have a drink included in that because he only drinks water and we didn’t have desserts. I honestly wished I had avoided and just gone out of the park to eat. Terrible experience overall and kind of ruined our evening as we were tired and hungry and just wanted something nice to eat. Ended up having to raid the nearby vending machines of crisps and ice creams (all they had) at a cost of another £20 just so we weren’t hungry.

McDonald’s give you the better food. This is the reason you are Google going down 2.2 only nine people been reviewed. You really need to think about this restaurant. I don’t know about the food hygiene what’s going on staff doesn’t have any clue there are no food hygiene I would like to get Council to have a look this Resturant need to be run more. As long as they don't bring back the dinner buffet, we will be happy! Was not a fan at all in previous years being forced to pay 20 quid for a buffet when you may only want something small. Keeping a standard menu makes it so much better for us to only order what we wish and have it freshly cooked. Please do keep the themed items! Several years ago we had some lovely Oktoberfest themed items on the menu but not last time we went! Staff are usually fantastic here, there were some issues around lockdown/covid times but I've noticed a bit of F&B improvement in the last year.

Cant understand the poor review ratings. Katie ran the show in Vibes Bar and Kitchen Restaurant....she single handedly kept the tables clear, kept customers contented by bringing out their meals, always available for assistance with a very friendly professional attitude. A credit to Thorpe Park, good Vibes only.😎👍💯

You would think Vibes is terrible looking at the reviews and after our 2nd visit this time for buffet dinner whilst park closed last time for lunch, both very good experiences. We chose carefully and very much enjoyed pittas with salad, excellent white fish in batter, much better than we had in Yorkshire, decent chips , brilliant creamy Mash, fresh vegetables aplenty, delicious steak and ale pie and a veg Wellington, followed by fresh fruit salad and choc mousse. Only improvement would be the draught soft drinks to be served in glass rather than paper cups, I had a pint of corona instead as I didn't want a paper cup. Friendly chat with barman and a chef who regularly checked and replenished the food, 22.50 for basically 3 courses or as little as 18.00 with an annual pass, less than lots of places charge for a main course alone and we are sat in a world class theme park - weather outside was awful but we enjoyed a damp out of hours walk around before retiring to our shark cabin.

Undercooked, bland food . Buffet style all you can eat (dowt you could stomach a second plate ) honest review go somewhere else . Drive somewhere outside thorpe park and eat at a local pub if your staying over. Worse food I've had in a very long time and don't get me started on the breakfast . Juices are basically water and again all food way undercooked and cheap product .

Went here for breakfast which was included in our Thorpe Shark 2 day tickets, and it was such a pleasant surprise!! Staff were really friendly and helpful. The waitress was happy to answer questions and have a laugh. Plates were cleared efficiently. The guy who greeted us was, if anything, over-enthusiastic for first thing in the morning 😂 We arrived earlier than the slot we had booked but they were happy to let us in early. Cooked breakfast was hot and well cooked. There were plenty of food options for vegetarians. Both hot and cold, sweet and savoury. There were even veggie sausages, wooohoo! I forgot to take photos because I was enjoying my breakfast too much so I've attached a photo taken by my partner. Last time we had breakfast here was, I think, about 5 years ago, and it has improved a heck of a lot since then. Will definitely be booking the package with this breakfast included next time we go to Thorpe Park. A great start to the day!

Staff very friendly, however we visited with a very small 4 year only and was told the kids meals were a set price for under 12. So ended up costing me £13 for 2 chicken nuggets and a chocolate mousse

Does not warrant the poor reviews. I went June 2023, and this place was pretty good. Evening meal: this was expensive at £22.50 per person for the buffet. Choice of three mains and two veggie options. Food was nice enough although only having one plate was a bit off putting when going up for a second meal after having gravy for your first meal. The quiz was good fun and the two girls did a great job in entertaining. Breakfast: included with our stay and this was very nice. Good choice of food. Food again was ok, not top of the range but decent enough. Service was always excellent. Staff were friendly and quick to remove plates etc. The pub was very clean too. As long as you are not expecting Michelin star quality you won't be disappointed. Only real issue was the price.

Wouldn't get dinner here, as only a buffet choice, but we came for breakfast, which was more than adequate. Choice of cereal, fruit, full English cooked, waffles, pancakes, croissants. Large drinks selection. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Service was good, the waiters were lovely. But the food wasn't great at all. Cheesy fries tasted off! Chicken in salad was chewy! And it just tasted like all the food we had was chucked in the microwave for 30 secs! There are more food options in thorpe park, so defo recommend that instead.

I'm leaving one star as cannot leave no stars, the waiter we had seemed very unfriendly could not even brake a smile to us. When the food arrived the waiter just drop it and left. Food was not up to par cold and look unappealing left hungry not worth the price. School dinners are better than this. Would not recommend or eat again here.

It's a bar that won't let non hotel guests in. Don't call it a bar and kitchen if it's not accessable to 98% of guests visiting. Currently it is empty as people leave at 6. Missed opportunity as would rather be sat in there having a beer than outside the Costa.

We feel it is only right to provide a review of this place, as we are regular visitors to Thorpe and know that the system has changed. Also I couldn't find many reviews on Google (except very negative ones) so hope this helps others. There was a small lunch menu when we visited last Monday (Bank holiday) and it was perfectly adequate for a lunch - chicken wings, ribs, fries, onion rings and a variety of salads. Reasonably priced and large portions (we didn't need a side order each!). The evening buffet is slightly overpriced we felt - it would sit better at £16 per person, (we paid £22.50) however the food wasn't dissimilar to what you would find in a Wetherspoon or other pub chain - currys, fish and chips, sides, pies etc. You can also have dessert if you like. It was a fairly calm affair - similar to any breakfast kind of buffet layout that you might find in a Hilton, and we really don't have any complaints except the price, which I imagine would be a bit eye watering if there was a large family (only two of us). The seating is nice, and the quiz could be fun if you like that kind of thing and want to win prizes like a fasttrack ticket etc. Overall we found it an acceptable experience, and no-where near as horrifying as some of the reviews would suggest, but would definitely prefer it if you could just order a dish of your choice from an a la carte, and pay for it like you could before. If you do want to order food in to your room, you can visit the bar anyway without ordering food. Personally we wouldn't really want to sit in our small cabin eating pizza, but others may differ. It looked like you could also just sit in the dome (outside of the restaurant) without ordering the buffet on our visit, I think this may change when the park gets busier into the season? The breakfast buffet was actually OK, very similar to say a Hampton by Hilton rather than a higher end hotel, but when you consider the Shark Cabins room price, free entry tickets, free hour or two of fast track and free parking, we think you are getting a good deal! We know everyone is different, and this is just our honest opinion, so hope this helps people.

What a weird experience. This 'resturant' reminds me of being back at school being served by the dinner lady who wishes she wasn't there dealing with children. Zero ambiance, awful choice of disgusting food serving. It'll highly affect me staying at Thorpe Park moving forwards. Its almost as if Thorpe Park doesn't care at all. I'm actually really shocked by my experience there.

Tasty, delicious, mouth watering food...

No vegan options except for vegan sausages, no sides, deserts or any other options except the vegan sausages! Considering we are staying overnight and this is the only place open on site after 5pm. The staff member we spoke to was very helpful & apologetic but not good enough from such a big place.

My benchmark is Wetherspoons. This was slightly below expectations in every way.

This is the only option for food if you are staying overnight. They take full advantage of this by charging £22 for a buffet of the most disgusting food you have ever seen in your life. Staff were either rude or disinterested. Avoid this place and do not stay at Thorpe Park overnight.

Rated 1 star because it's not possible to leave 0 stars. This place deserves 0 stars. We were supposed to get breakfast included in the hotel stay. We pre-booked breakfast as advised at reception but were met with a very hostile reaction when we turned up at the restaurant. Apparently they were "closed" and the hotel reception and restaurant app were both "wrong" for telling us that breakfast was available between 10 - 11. We refused to accept this and demanded to receive the breakfast that we had paid for. The whole restaurant was a neglected dump. The fruit juice machine hadn't been refilled and just gave out water, everything around the drinks machine was strewn with rubbish with a pool of water on the floor, and no attempt was made by staff to rectify anything. Clearly the staff seem to hate working here and have decided they are on strike. What an absolute disgrace this restaurant is to the British leisure and tourism industry. Thorpe Park, hang your heads in shame. We've stayed at theme parks all over the world and have never come across anything remotely as bad as this before.

Had to give one star but in reality it would be a definite -5 Only eat here if you are constipated and need clearing out! It was included in our stay unfortunately! We all fell ill, Thorpe Park have been made aware!

Just paid £80 for 4 plates of awful food. Happy to pay this for something edible but when you can't even get mash or rice right then give up! All you can eat is more like a bush tucker trial. Avoid at all costs

Don't waste your money, dried up buffet food and that was at 6.30pm, expensive for the choices offered, disappointed as we are staying at the resort for 3 nights, will need to rethink where to eat.

Don't bother, come on thorpe park you can do a lot better than this. Truly horrible meal at not a cheap price £20.00 for all you can eat buffet. Most things fried in horrid tasting oil, all meals left and waitress wasn't surprised infact don't think she could be bothered to even talk. Young lady behind your bar a credit though. She was extremely helpful and went out of the way to help me oarticuarly as 3 hungry mouths to feed who didn't want to eat the food. You have a captive audience; where let's face it we can't really eat anywhere else at least serve something decent. Last year was better. We have now decided we won't come back to hotel as really your restaurant and evening facilities let you down.

Not very good food at all. Very bland and very overpriced! £6 for a pint of watered down beer served in a plastic cup and £20 a person for a buffet with a whole 9 options to choose from. It was advertised as a restaurant with a menu. I'm very disappointed.

Shocking.... poor food, no beer on tap, dirty tables and over priced, and an out of order drink dispenser that was actually working, but when we asked was told oh it's so you buy drinks at the bar, so the only good thing there is the honest staff....

Before the rebranding amd revamp of the vibes bar, it wasnt worth going in and spending extortionate amounts of money on a meal with better quality in the supermarket . However, now there have been updates on how things are run. For one, only hotel guests are allowed in there which reduces load on meals. Food has definitely been improved, but still lacks standards, you are better off getting a quick meal everywhere else in the park. Staff have always been nice even when the order was wrong they were quick to replace the food with no fuss. Would only go again if the menu was updated with more food or the quality increased. Definitley a good step in the right direction, as last season i didnt even bother reviewing.

I was initially horrified when I first saw the reviews for this place. With us staying at Thorpe Park for two nights, I knew it was really the only place to eat breakfast and dinner at the resort and I definitely didn't want to be wasting my money on an awful premesis. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the end of our stay, as both of the breakfast experiences we had here were fantastic. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and there was a well cooked, large selection for a full English buffet. You can help yourself to unlimited bacon, sausage (normal and vegetarian) scrambled egg, black pudding, hash browns, beans, tomato and mushrooms. They provide Oat/Almond/Soy milk which I didn't expect, and also a selection of lovely pastries, breads, jams, nutella etc. There are two coffee machines providing most hot drinks all the way up to a mocha, and most importantly I found everything to be very clean, including the dining space where we sat each time. With regards to the evening meals, there was a quite pricey all you can eat buffet for £20 per head available, although we decided we didn't want to stuff ourselves silly and spend £80 for our group of four in the process - so the bar staff told us we could order from Ubereats and eat it on the tables just outside the restaurant. I do think a small even side menu would be great for this restaurant in the evening, as you can't even order a bowl of chips if you want to, it's either the buffet or nothing. The price of drinks was a bit much at £6 for a pint of Stella/dark fruit but I understand its by London and this is how it is. Overall I'd say the vibes bar and kitchen has taken on board it's negative reviews and has definitely made a substantial effort to turn things around.

We went to the Vibes Bar & Kitchen to ask about dinner, as we were staying at the shark hotel. The member of staff we spoke to was incredibly rude and condescending and wouldn't answer our questions, she wouldn't even tell us what time they open for dinner. She seemed to assume that we weren't hotel guests and were just wasting her time. Ironic that the place is called 'Vibes' and we got such bad vibes from this woman that we decided that we wouldn't be eating there and decided to go back to the room and order takeaway instead. Judging by the number of reviews mentioning the awful food at this place, it seems like we made the right decision.

Awful food and so expensive, not sure how they are getting away with this. We had the evening buffet here and breakfast. Never again, will drive out next time and find somewhere decent. Food all cold and resembled school dinners from 1979! Tinned fruit, stale desserts. Breakfast really bad, sure the juice was watered down. Feel I have been cheated .

I'm not fussy but this food is soo ooo bad. Such a shame. As we have had a superb break but it is so overpriced and just disgusting. Unfortunately there is no other choice. 20 for qn adult and 11 for a kid so so bad. Honestly avoid Thorp park have really let themselves down with this

Words cannot express how poor the food and service was. Even when complaining they did not care. Breakfast was a disaster to. The prices are extortionate!

One of the worst meals of my life, I had to struggle getting beans as the chef watched me repeatedly burning myself trying to pick up the food. The food its self was bland to the point of being inedible. The only good thing I could find was the sausages. Please if you're staying in the shark hotel order food in, its £40 for 2 mains. Will never be eating here again.

Don’t come here. You will be disappointed. We had food here yesterday and it was overpriced and the service was poor. I will be ordering a deliveroo instead in the evening today. The food wasn’t good. 🙁🙁🙁

Terrible, pizza is better out of a supermarket! Cold, undercooked, and from the looks of it, forgot to put the toppings on..! The staff were even worse than the pizza, dull, lifeless, don’t talk and are very un-helpful. I did book in here for 2 consecutive nights for dinner, but after experiencing the food and the staff on the first night, we most definitely won’t be visiting it for dinner a second time..! So so disappointed, as was really looking forward to it.

Don’t bother with Vibes. Ordered a vegan burger and was given a beef burger! The rest of the food wasn’t worth the money either and the service was poor.

Really bad service, staff was rude, nobody seem to wanna be there. The prices are ridiculous and the portion sizes are tiny, paid £15.00 for the thrill seeker burger and chips when it arrived it was smaller then a happy meal with about 10 chips,the pizza was hard as rock about the only thing that was ok was the diet coke.avoid this place if you want a decent meal

Extremely expensive for the quality of food. Service got the food for tables either side of us wrong and then when ours came, it was missing sides. Do not recommend.

Service was way too fast, questioning how our food was prepped. Ordered pizza and half chicken. Pizza was rock hard with not much cheese on. The chips we ordered were warm, half pizza left and by the looks of others around, I ate more of my pizza than they did. If you have a tonne of money to waste, this is the perfect place!

Three of us visited here on the 25th of March. The starter was lovely but the mains were absolutely horrendous. Two of us has the half chicken with chips and corn on a cob which was so dry it was inedible. The other son had a burger which was so over cooked. I complained to the waitress which just said sorry. No one tried to rectify this. So we went to bed hungry and 75 pound out of pocket. If your gonna stay at thorpe park go out of the the resort for your evening meal. Absolutely disgusting

Really helpful staff, good food and nice atmosphere for both and evening meal and a proper breakfast, best way to start the day at Thorpe park. Will definitely use again.

food was abysmal of bread and breakfast do not add add it to your stay and breakfast as it only after from the day after you stay even with merlin discount still a lot of money. Looks like dinosaur food. even their main food is worse bring own food or get food near the station before travel there. egg was yellow bread was off bean was runny bacon was like worms and can only have juice or water or coffee no soft drink or others are included. for me and group of friends just ordered food from outside restaurant was bad as another person stole our food we ordered from dominos. avoid eating here does get crowded. advise bring own lunch and order food or get food from outside the park.

Waited 50 minutes with no food on the horizon - asked staff where my food is with no update. Overall terrible experience, all I ordered was a baguette, a child can make a baguette in less than ten mins. Also the place probably had about 15 people in, so not busy at all.

Stayed in the hotel and came here for breakfast. Queued for half an hour waiting for eggs and bacon. No bacon available throughout our time there. Constantly heard people asking for the cutlery to be refilled, it was always dirty when it was refilled. Horrible nescafe coffee. Generally grim experience.

Chicken was undercooked. The blandest chicken I’ve ever had. Feel sick after eating. Prison food is better. Go to the doner shop for a better halal option.

This is the worst place ever. Chicken is not marinated at all and was brown inside. Food is so bland. The burger is so dead and dry. Stay away. We should’ve gone to the doner shop

Wasn't 5 star in reality but I feel a lot of very unfair reviews here so made mine higher. I had the hallumi starter and the squid. Both very nice and me and my partner had 2 good pints of lager and cider. Its a theme park not Gordon Ramsey's restaurant. And we only wait 15 minutes. Thanks

Stayed in the shark cabin both cabin and restaurant are awful orange juice is just water with some capri sun and the hotel air con in brocken and dusted to S. H. I. T. dont recommend staying.Unless you wanna burn to a crisp i dont recommend coming.Better quality food are inside and outside of the park

Have eaten here now for breakfast and dinner (as part of a hotel stay) as well as lunchtime during the day as part of another visit. Overall the food is pretty average quality - similar to the kind of stuff that you'd get in other pub chains. The price - whilst higher than a pub chain, is to be expected I guess from a theme park environment. The menu offered isn't anything too spectacular - a small range of pizzas/pub food items served with chips etc. The dessert selection is tiny - consisted of just plain ice cream when I visited. The service is generally slow, especially considering the small size of the menu and how few guests were in. We waited around 45 mins for lunch and 30 mins for tea (15 mins over the estimated time on the ordering website). The orders do sometimes get a bit mixed up, and on a couple of occasions for breakfast we were given the wrong items - however the staff were helpful in resolving the issues. Overall, a solid attempt at a restaurant that offers meals at a theme park, which with some improvements to speed and menu could be pretty good.

Don't bother, bring your own food, take a cab and go somewhere else. Whatever you end up ordering won't be worth it, the pizza and the squid is bearable. We waited 45 minutes after reminding staff for starters. Were brought a different burger because they had run out of the other one, without sauce or onion that looked like cardboard. And a completely unseasoned gravy chicken with no gravy whatsoever. The gravy was flavoured water and the chicken was cold regardless of the wait. The ice cream was Ben and Jerry's but still expensive for what it was. If you want to have lunch here and just get pizza, go ahead. If you want anything worth your money just go to KFC or Burger King.

Food was awful and extreamly overpriced. Orders were also wrong for both dinner and breakfast. I just feel sorry for the Shark Cabin staff, who had to clean the mess in the toilet about an hour later. I don't think the 10g of chicken I got were even cooked.

Hugely overpriced bland food. Ordered Macaroni Cheese for £11.95, it arrived luke warm and was less appetising and flavourful than the Tesco microwave meal equivalent that costs less than £3. If staying at the Thorpe Park hotel like us definitely leave the park for dinner.

Overall an unpleasant experience and a waste of money. I was staying in the shark cabins so I had both dinner and breakfast here. In the morning we woke up a bit late and missed our 8:30 breakfast time by almost half an hour and we were told that after 15 minutes late our reservation was cancelled automatically. I can understand how this would be annoying and we were told that the restaurant was full and the only option was eating at 10, or having a "Costa grab and go" which isn't what I expected for the extortionate price that the hotel costed. We went back to the Shark cabins reception and they managed to get us a table shortly after, so thank you to them and to Oliver at the restaurant for being accommodating. Simply put, the restaurant wasn't full. While we were leaving at 9:45, there were at least 5 empty tables that we saw. The breakfast was quite enjoyable. My best friend and I ordered three portions between the two of us and we split the extra one as we were particularly hungry. The dinner on the other hand was a daylight robbery. I ordered the ribs and my friend the mac and cheese. He gave his dish a 4/10. The ribs on the other hand were quite flavorful, but the cut of meat was not very tender and had a lot of fat on it. It was asleep extremely small, especially for the £15 price tag. The chips were decent, corn was a bit dry but the coleslaw was so bland they I literally had to spit it out. It seems like the chefs are more focused on making the food look good instead of tasting good. As someone else mentioned, if you are staying at the Shark cabins, then go out for dinner. Or, as we did for dessert, order Uber eats.

They messed up my daughters 13th birthday. Brought out the half chicken x 6 when we ordered burgers . They took it back to the kitchen, cut up the half chicken and threw it onto burgers and brought it out again. The chips were dry by then. Over priced tasteless food. £78 wasted. I wish I took them to KFC instead. No vegetarian food and the vegan burger was not even fit for the bin. The staff were cold.

absolute best service, really helpful when i had a health issue & needed assistance with my food! 10/10

Sat down for evening meal, staff not friendly or welcoming. We were sat down for 15-20 hadn't even seen us to get drinks sorted. Hadn't seen a menu or anything! So we got up and left the park and had food elsewhere. (Probably our best decision) The next morning had breakfast there, ordered tea/coffee had to ask for milk/sugar and had to ask again for it, by this point drinks had gone cold. Once again staff not welcoming, food arrived in 15mins all cold and half missing had to ask for the rest... don't waste your money and time with this place, looks nice but needs serious work on the rest

Not only was It overpriced, the food was 100% straight from the microwave. Do not order the vegan chicken burger it was so bad.

Beer is alright. Still waiting for my burger after 30minutes.. it came cold and by the portion size it isn't worth half of the price. To check it out further we came back in the evening and the experience was completely different, food wasn't that bad and the staff was friendly. Conclusion is if you are going there in daytime or for breakfast you are probably going to have a bad time.

Absolutely awful, waited hour for food by the time it turned up was all cold and that was starters and main together then by the time we complained we managed to get some hot food but we was told we would have to leave as they were shutting for the night and couldn't take our drinks with us. If your staying in the hotel go out and eat in a proper restaurant don't waste your money here, the food and choices are better in the park.

Horribly slow service and bland food

Poor service from the man who greeted us at the front. Alcohol is in plastic cups (says bottle but they bring a cup with less ml) and tastes bad. Food takes a very long time to come.

Poor service, food not very tasty, charged for things they didn't have and can't get anyone's attention to get a refund either... Finally got their attention. They can't figure out how to do refunds now. Just don't bother.

Despite having a breakfast time slot was still queuing to get in 20 minutes later. And still waiting on breakfast over 30 mins after ordering. Park opened early to guests staying at the hotel but what's the point when you're stuck in here suffering at the hands of inept staff. If you're staying at the Shark Hotel DO NOT book breakfast here!

Avoid like the plague. We stayed in the Thorpe Shark Hotel so had dinner and breakfast, food at dinner was disgusting, service slow and not cheap considering how awful it was, breakfast was brought cold, miniature portions and only half arrived so had to go searching after 10 mins for the rest. No excuse for this kind of experience.
