Velo - Canary Wharf in Tower Hamlets

Travelling to London for MCM comic con and decided to treat ourselves on the last night to a ZiZis, we were happily greeted by Alex who throughout our meal provided top notch service, she was helpful, attentive and made a lovely atmosphere by just being friendly. Although we checked in as a group of four friends it really felt like a group of 5 with Alex included. I struggle to go out to eat due to anxiety disorder and unfriendly servers but Alex has changed all that, will definitely be visiting this ZiZis everytime I come to comic con! I would also like to acknowledge the supporting staff member and the kitchen for an amazing dinner. One of the best lasagne I've had in a while.

Came to London with my friends for comic con for the weekend and we stopped at Zizzi on our last day, we were seated and greeted by Alex who was absolutely amazing, it’s so important to have such kind servers and she was one of them. She made our table laugh a lot and just made us have an amazing experience here. Will definitely be coming to Zizzi more if everyone is like Alex!

Our hostess Alex was amazing at making us feel welcome and making sure everything worked perfectly well ! The food quality was really good, it had been a while since I had been to Zizzi, so I completely forgot how amazing the pizzas are !! Coming back again soon !

We stopped by Zizzi in Canary Wharf on a quiet afternoon and were lucky to be looked after by Alex. She was absolutely lovely — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring with all the customers. Her warm attitude made the atmosphere feel relaxed and welcoming, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The pizza was literally amazing — fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly baked. It’s not every day you get such a great combination of service and food. Thank you, Alex, for making our afternoon so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I have been in this place for more then 5h just chilling with my friend. One of the best and friendly front of house is been George, i have to ask for his name. He's been one of the most friendly and profesional staff i have seen during my experience. 5* for hi. And I hope he's keep going. 👍

Went yesterday for a work meal. Ordered the Calamari, which came out lukewarm with a very watery garlic aioli - was more like a dipping oil than a creamy thick sauce. I asked for chillies to be added to my calzone, but this didn't happen. My calzone also came lukewarm. Have had these items several times across many different Zizzi's, and they have always come out piping hot. Service was very slow considering there were few diners in. I asked for the chillies to be given delivered l, rather than to cook a new calzone, and I would add to my food myself, and a small portion was given. Would have been nice if the charge for the chillies was removed from the bill, but no. Beer was lovely and cold, and the portion size (aside from the chilies) was great. Just food temperature, quality and accuracy was off. We also wasn't given any complimentary pasta crisps (as we usually are at other Zizzi's). Maybe just a bad day, but this restaurant is below par compared to others in the chain.

Discovered by chance. The food is very tasty. There is also a children's menu for smaller children, as well as pens to keep them busy. The service is very nice and attentive. We are also often asked about intolerances.

Very well prepared and served food. Pasta has nice texture and sauces have great flavor. Spicy dishes are hot indeed! Good selection of table wine. The vegetarian meatballs are superb!

I haven’t been to Zizzi for a while and must say it has changed dramatically. My napkins were drenched in oil. I will never go back.

This is the first time that I have ever tried this chain and it will almost certainly be the last. Went with my wife and son and we were all very disappointed with the food. For starters we had garlic bread, Fonduta Formaggi & Roasted aubergine. The fonduta was supposed to be four different cheese but I could not taste anything other than one tasteless cheese which was also incredibly stringy. As for the roasted aubergine it was nasty and bitter. For the main we ordered the Rustica Primavera pizzas and the Lentil Ragu which were both equally crap. The pizzas were massive but going for quantity over quality is not what we wanted. The pizzas were a mess and the toppings were very haphazard and mostly tasteless and bland. The same could be said of the ragu. All in all it was a complete waste of time and my £93.28. I would sum up by saying that Pizza Express is slightly cheaper and infinitely superior in every way.

I come here regularly with the family and we enjoy it every time. My daughter is a picky eater and only ever gets plain pasta, but raves about it. The staff are always lovely, and the menu changes frequently enough that it isn’t boring to come back as a regular. The zillionaire program is quite meaningful too. I’ve included an expert review by my 5 year old, too. Really lovely service from Art, thank you!

Everything was perfect for us as a family. Had dinner there twice and were completely satisfied. We enjoyed the food every time and the service was always great. Our Hungarian waiter was particularly great! We will definitely come back next time we visit London.

Seated quickly and drink orders taken quickly by one member of staff and was all fine. Good arrived within 5 mins of being ordered- slightly suspicious. Weren’t asked if anything else was needed when the food was put on the table, no sauce or other drinks offered. We asked a waiter walking by for a few ketchups, to which he comes back with one pot, and we asked him for a few more, to which he rolls his eyes at us and walks off and comes back with the more before putting them on the table and walking off with a huff. Even my 11 year old noticed and asked why he was rolling his eyes at us. Food was simply not that good, pizzas were fine but I guess it’s hard to mess up a pizza. Chicken and Prosciutto salad had onions all over it, which isn’t on the menu, if I knew this I wouldn’t have ordered or asked with it without. Chicken Milanese didn’t come with the said veg. No spinach just some greasy green beans and a couple of pieces of broccoli. The salad was very watery. We sat for a good 15 minutes with plates finished with before someone came over to clear it when we asked for the bill- we took off the service charge as it definitely wasn’t deserved. Will not be returning, staff not friendly or helpful or attentive.

The food was great but sadly the service was slooooow and not very attentive. An example ? We had to request water for the table 4 times before it finally arrived. Wait times to place our orders were too long. The only thing that arrived quickly was the bill. Understaffing was probably the cause imo. I wouldn't go back.

The wait staff was lovely and we're very accommodating to our large group. One of them (I think her name was Shoba) was an especially sweet reprise comming from a stressful day of presenting Wonkybowl. Prices were high buuut the flavours and service reminded us why we still go to restaurants!

At first staff really noticeable but soon after plates were cleared we were forgotten about have to stop them just to get bill. Not even offered dessert. Automatic tip not even asked if we to leave a tip given the dreadful customer service

Came to have lunch today and i live zizzy food specifically the lemon, but unfortunately this time the standards on food was very bad. I've ordered mushroom rissoto wich i love and was served cold with a lot of flower flavour and i do not know if they change the recipe but a lot of rosemary inside with is no great to feel il on your mouth, unfortunately I couldn't finish my meal but still the worst was no one came to even check if it everything good since an manager was on front of me . I've asked for the bill to that manager and no respond so I need it to pay online since I was on my break. I must say the waitresses ho ser me down and took my order was great.

What a shambles. We booked a table on a Friday evening at 8:30 to kickstart his birthday weekend off. Met with a very socially awkward young guy at first who showed us to our seats. Then 20 mins later and still nobody came over to take a drinks or food order. We got two waiters attention (one who was the manager!) and both ignored us as they hurried past. We spoke to the apologetic manager on the way out to tell him we were leaving. A pretty shitty start to the weekend away, but went to Franco Manco’s instead!

I've been to zizzis at 4 different locations and this was my all time favorite. Art, the gentleman who attended to us, was really friendly and welcoming.smiled all through my stay and made my experience fantastic! Great customer service! I recommend.

Brilliant service, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. Great atmosphere for a family gathering. Children's menu and colouring sheet kept the youngster occupied.

The pizza portion is very large for one person. Friday lunch wasn’t too busy. A nice and quiet restaurant. Would like to appreciate the staff-Arte, he is very helpful. Offering to help to cut the pizza and giving me extra napkins.

The driver came fairly quickly after waiting ages at the restaurant, I watched the timer going up while he was waiting there (not the drivers fault I know) - The food… the pizza was cold. The chips were completely soggy and chewy. The Bruschetta was nice, could have used some more balsamic glaze though. I couldn’t eat the Mac & Cheese bits as the sauce pot hadn’t been closed correctly and the sauce leaked all over them, making them fall apart before even arriving. Arancini was nice.

It was a bit quiet when we went, understandable for a Monday at noon. Staff were very friendly, restaurant was a touch on the cold side, but warmed up while we were there, again, probably just an early in the day thing. Food was excellent. Would recommend.

Had a wonderful meal after watching the Strictly Tour Show. Greg served us and looked after us marvellously. A great evening.
