Pizza delivered :> The truffle, anchovies and parmigiana (plus nduja) all taste so good! Very aromatic, not greasy at all. The dough is elastic and lovely.

Great intimate pub, friendly staff and delicious pizza's. Also really great weekly pub quiz. If you want a relaxing evening this is a great pub.

🚇 Island Gardens 🍺 £6.80 Pravha The Ship is located close to the river at the southern end of the Isle of Dogs in East London. The nearest station is Island Gardens on the DLR. The pub was built in the 1930’s for Watney’s and superseded the previous Victorian pub which was built in the mid-19th century. I love the architecture of this pub, especially the oxblood tiles. This is a one bar pub that is traditionally decorated with a cosy comfortable feel. The servery is the original interwar instalment and has a wonderful backlit back bar. Around the dark green walls are a number of historical photographs depicting this part of London’s industrious past. There is plenty of comfy seating throughout which is sat atop a proper pub carpet. To the side of the pub is partially covered smoking area. The beer selection will please most with a line up of familiar brews to choose from, cask ales weren’t being served when we visited. I decided on a pint of Pravha, my pint was great, price point was quite high for this lager. The food menu is Stonebaked Pizza, there are 12 different options available, most pizzas cost £11, the reviews are very favourable. We arrived just after 3pm on an overcast Saturday afternoon in October. I visited with my Brother and local Islander and fellow pub enthusiast @booze_house_tales . The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed with a few locals in for an afternoon drink. The service was excellent, the chap who served us was welcoming and courteous, he did make us laugh by winding up a regular by playing the theme tune to “Never Ending Story” on repeat. @theshipinne14 is a lovely local boozer that we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. The cosy local atmosphere, the relaxed and welcoming setting and the friendly hospitality made for a pleasant stop on our tour of the island. ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 12.10.24

The Ship has quickly become our favorite local pub in the neighborhood. Hands down, the best pizza in London – we were blown away by the quality! It’s also a fantastic place to catch football matches, with a lively atmosphere and plenty of screens.

Very nice pub with rooms. The rooms are upstairs, very simple and comfortable. Our room looked out over the English skyscrapers on the other side of the Thames. We didn't have a bathroom in the room but the shared bathroom was very clean. In the room he had a kettle, various types of tea and biscuits available for a frugal breakfast before leaving. They only offered pizza, but there are many places around to try other specialties.

Very delicious pizza, would definitely recommend wholeheartedly. We got the ham & portobello pizza which was amazing and the diavolo 3.0. And if you order diavolo 0.3 just know it comes straight from hell (in the best way possible!!) it’s really tasty for those who can take it. The atmosphere is really lovely and so is the staff, we visited during the Quizz Night and it was entertaining

Best pizza I have ever had and a cracking pint! I would pay good money to have a pizza seminar. I have my own pizza oven but can never get them anywhere near as good. I travel all the way there from high Wycombe when ever I get the chance.

Met Friends for a catch up. Welcoming pub with a lovely selection of drinks. For food they only do pizza but the pizza is simply divine. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend

Lovely pub with friendly staff. Rooms were nice, tiny breakfast buffet placed in the room and good shared bathroom, although the rooms could do with better cleaning. Dishes were a bit stained, carpeted floors seemed quite dirty, and coffee machine had not been cleaned properly or cleaned at all with the water compartment being mouldy. Otherwise, lovely place and do recommend at a affordable price.

Overall great stay, staff were wonderful and friendly. The room for that price was worth it, there was a fan provided which was great seeing as it was so hot but it was so dusty we didn't want to turn it on, but that was our only issue. Definitely try the pizzas they were very good! Definitely would recommend for a budget stay 👍

My experience at The ship is very good! Staff is very friendly and everyone is very well behaved.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Owner was friendly, but didn't do room service every day. Definitely affordable. We loved how close it was to the tunnel leading to Greenwich. We used it several times back and forth to get to the market and stores nearby! A 24/7 bus regularly stops right at the pub. One night a car alarm on the street went off for like 2 hours, so that sucked.

Friendly staff, local vibe, decent beer selection. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Haven't tried their pizzas, but they smell great.

The pints are prior to themselves and the chips well they are to die for to say the least.

Was only staying a few nights but generally it as a very pleasant stay: quiet and cosy room, friendly staff and I learned how to play poker on a poker night, extra bonus!

This is a nice pub with a homely vibe on the Isle of Dogs. As a neighbour, I often pop in there for a drink with friends. I'm a huge fan of their pizzas too!

Nice, quiet local pub with good variety of drinks and friendly bartender. They have screens to watch football. In overall good place to go. I didn't try food so no opinion.

Not the best experience - I think favoured by locals for its pizza menu, but it was far too hot in the pub, the tv was too loud, they had no cask ales (only ones on keg), and for some insane reason the bar staff seemed to think it was perfectly acceptable to store their red wine in the fridge. They only had one white wine option - a Spanish Sauvignon Blanc which was alright. Lots of space to sit, and a really interesting collection of photos on the wall of the local area when it was former docks and a large port.

We went to watch England in the World Cup and the atmosphere was great! 2 big tv’s, big selection of drinks and their pizzas are amazing. Loved it!

(This review is based on our experience at westferry pizza and not the hotel as a whole) My mate and I ordered the margherita and the diavolo with some garlic dip and an Aperol spritz. The servers / bartenders seemed really nice, especially the girl behind the bar. The pizzas (especially the diavolo) was fantastic! Quite spicy because of the nduja, but the garlic dip helped balance it out. Quite busy (quite a few families playing board games, etc). Would definitely go again for some pizza. Pizza prices were quite standard though not sure a garlic dip should really be £2.

Went to watch world cup game and had a few beers. Good variety of beer on tap. Friendly bartender. Could do with better facilities. There was no hot water in the tap and was a bit cold. They have poker nights on Mondays

I used the hotel room, which was decent for the fee paid. I walked through the bar on my way to my room. Their was live sport on, and the staff were polite and friendly. I was also able to park free on the street, being a weekend, I didn’t have to worry about getting fined. Overall, I had a good experience using property.

Friendly bar staff and atmosphere, if a little quiet on a Tuesday night. Showed champions League football on night we were in.

If you’re organize poker tournament, teach your staff the rules. If it’s says you can play at 8pm every Monday it mean you can come and play. If you don’t have more chips, you must buy it.

Nice pizzas, decent price, good pub atmosphere.

We stayed overnight, as went to a gig at the O2. About a 50 minute walk to the O2 (using the super cool underground Thames path). Bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was provided - bread for toast, milk, yoghurts, bananas, jam. Shared bathrooms but all clean. Separate front door for guests.

Must have caught this place on an off day. Unwelcoming and poorly kept (Doombar) beer. Suspect it had not been pulled through as it was early in the day. On the plus side I liked the retro Whisky-Gin-Vodka bar light.

Working nearby at the forge during lockdown and late night work sometime I grab the best pizza in the isle of dog honestly I’m Italian and it’s simply awesome The manager Andrew it’s just one of the most friendly, polite helpful manager a pub could have For me 10 out of 10 plus

Mi novio y yo nos mudamos a la isla de los perros y asistimos a este pub que está cerca de nuestra casa. Me gustaría decirle al propietario de este establecimiento que preste más atención sobre cómo el gerente trata a su personal y a sus invitados. Nunca me sirvieron con tanta arrogancia y falta de educación. Le pregunté su nombre para estar seguro de que alguien haría algo. Gracias

Fantástico pub local situado en la isla del perro.Cada semana voy allí viendo deportes, ya que el lugar tiene 3 pantallas que lo muestran, pero siempre es recomendable reservar si quieres tener una gran sesión. El personal absolutamente amable y la gente amable asisten a este pub donde puede tener una agradable charla en el jardín.Pizza es excepcional! Hacen la mejor pizza de la zona con una buena selección y también puedes elegir dos tamaños diferentes.Le sugeriría a todos que prueben el ambiente del pub y la pizza.

Un pub "local". Visitamos el domingo para almorzar. Menú muy limitado, y un poco caro a los 16 para roast beef. Pero era de buena calidad. Solamente migaja de manzana para pudín. Realmente no puedo esperar más de lo que es solo un poco local. Buena gente, todos los locales excepto nosotros. Típico local de este extremo. Nada llamativo. Tres pantallas de televisión tan buena opción para fútbol, rugby y cricket. Me gustó.

Pasé un rato para celebrar el cumpleaños de un amigo y también para probar esta pizza de la que tanto he oído hablar. ¡Todo lo que puedo decir es: Guau! Su pizza está hecha a mano en las instalaciones y es tan buena como la charla hace que sea. Estuvimos en un grupo, así que fuimos por la margarita (para satisfacer a todos) y ¡fue absolutamente delicioso! Los precios eran muy buenos también. El personal del bar era amable y muy servicial; con un miembro de nuestro grupo luchando por encontrar su bebida preferida, amablemente hicieron uno de sus favoritos. Este es definitivamente un pub local y se muestra con un ambiente confortable y un sentido de calidez. Definitivamente regresaré

No es una gran experiencia La cerveza probó, cuando le pedí al barman que la cambiara por una diferente que él rechazó, así que tuve que pagar nuevamente.  Es una pena que el lugar sea agradable

We walked in to the pub because we had heard such good things. However, our experience was anything but! The staff asked us if we had a booking for two adults and the two five year olds we were with. When we responded no, they said they couldn’t possibly take any more covers due to a technical issue. The pub was empty with only two tables reserved. When we were upset about this, they just said it wasn’t their fault and became quite aggressive. As we were leaving, one of the ladies behind the bar swearing at us in earshot of our children. When we got home, I kindly called the pub asking to speak to the manager. I was refused and told she already spoke to us. That is when I decided to share my experiences.

This is a Pub mainly visited by locals but everyone with every culture or background is welcome in this pub. It is so easy to get in touch with people because of the diversity. The interior is quite old fashioned which I like. They show all kinds of Sports on 3 screens and have a beer garden at the back of the pub in the summer. Choices of Drinks is good. They have an artisan Pizza which is freshly made in front of you. Not at the back. You can watch the Chef creating and baking your own creation. The Pizza is great. It is probably the best on the Isle of Dogs and in a radius of a lot of miles. They also offer Sunday Roast, a pub quiz Sunday evenings which is a lot of fun. They also offer three rooms accommodation B&B based. Staff is always friendly, attentive and helpful. Great pub to watch Football, have a Pizza or just do random Pub Talk.

Been here a number of times recently, all good. A decent range of real ales and largers, great stone based pizzas, quality Sunday lunch, music, footy on TV, quizzes and nice friendly staff. What else do you want from a local? Try it!

Myself and four friends visited last Sunday for lunch after being told that the food was amazing. I've had the pizza there and it never fails to disappoint, well the Sunday lunch didn't disappoint either. Choice of pork belly, beef, chicken and vegetarian options. I had the pork belly and it was wonderful, the crackling was fabulous, the meat fell away. There's a great choice of beers and friendly staff too.

Someone recently told me that the Ship has the best Pizzas. I decided to give them a go last week and can say that after 3 last week plus today's awesome Sunday roast I can truly say that the Ship is serving some very solid, good quality food. Pizza: The stone baked pizzas remind me of the pizzas I had when I was a kid. That wonderful pizza smell you get when you walk in is the taste you get when you bite into these wonderful delights. Best quality pizza I've had for many years Sunday Roast: Lets just say that I'm still full and happy after todays mega chicken roast. I was very happy working my way through what was served up. Hot, tasty and good quality grub. My partner had the pork which I must say needed more work on the fat. We have had our fair share of pork bellies to know that this one needed more time under a grill to get it crispy (it can be done) All in all The Ship is a Place that you SHOULD visit.

Flower decorated old style pub from outside. Inside very warm and welcoming decor and service. Comfy chairs. Ordered pizza which was excellent and reasonably priced. Generous toppings. Will be back. Also had tv's to watch football.

This is a place I would happily visit again and again. A stunning atmospheric bar with lots of quirky & witty posters and sketches to keep you entertained and shows you the owners have a great sense of humor and are the salt of the earth. Warm caring staff always happy to help. It has so much character it would give Benicio Del Toro's face a run for its money and they make their own incredible stone baked pizzas that are out of this world! There are many Ships dotted about in London, but this is the one that will take you on the best journey.

No idea about the food, but a good pub. Friendly faces at the bar. Good prices for London. Good atmosphere. Karaoke on a Saturday night but it's fairly unobtrusive so don't let that put you off.

This is the local pub of a friend. I attended a duel leaving-do and rugby evening. The place is a quant little old world pub in the depths of the Isle of Dogs. The closest DLR station being Isle Gardens a brisk 10 minute walk away. While a small and simply appointed pub, its unique features and friendly atmosphere make it a pleasure to be in. It is a good shape so while on the small side you do not feel cramped and can easily find a space to sit with your friends. This is a real locals pub with plenty of banter and laughter. The bar staff were friendly and looked after our group well. The food laid on was a simple fair, but good, and appreciated, with the number of beers going down. Still offering a pint for under £4.00, this is a real find in London where similar establishments will try and sell you the same beverages for well above £6.00 If you have cause to be in this area you could do far worse than this place.
