The food was cold and not really that tasty

Visited yesterday before our visit to see Peter Kay at the o2. Good service and the steaks were delicious. Nice location & great gluten free menu. Thank you :) we will return in the future x

We turned up absolutely exhausted after travelling down to London Saturday 10th May. We were cheered up by the wonderful friendly service of the Duty Manager, sorry forgot his name. His knowledge of beers and pale ales was just what my husband needed :) We only had bar snacks to eat, but they were just what we needed. A lovely relaxing time sat in the sunshine!

Great location right beside West India DLR and therefore ideal (for us) to go up to the ABBA show at Mill Pudding Lane. It was a gloriously sunny evening so we opted to eat outside right beside the esplanade so the people watching was fabulous. And all the towering buildings of Canary Wharf. It’s not a particularly adventurous menu but that’s ok. Just what we wanted. Service was top notch - friendly and professional. Especially considering how busy it was. Special mention to our server (who possibly might have been a manager) a bearded gentleman. He really impressed us.

Lunchtime on Friday, so the atmosphere was just OK. Service was friendly and impeccable. The meals were presented beautifully. My companion's meal was too salty, the scallops specifically, and the fries were weirdly grainy, not moreish as fries should be. I would be happy to return, though.

The place is awesome. And their service especially to name Mr.George was so polite and good. I would highly recommend anyone to take a visit there.

The service was excellent, Wendy our waitress was taking a good care of our table. Food was delicious and the place look impeccable! Really recommend!

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Browns. I cannot fault the service as I arrived. We had drinks by the bar, special thank you to Cameron for showing me around the menu & recommending the Banana Mai Tai. Best cocktail i've ever had. I shall return in the near future :)

Definitely recommend great service and food

We came for a day out and decided to stop for a drink. The owner was extremely rude telling us that he had a party at 5.30pm,this was at 4.00 and we could only sit inside. When we sat down we was told again by staff that we were sat in the wrong place and again needed to leave by 5. Would not recommend this place to anyone at all poor and rude customer service

Rather large and impersonal. No greeting on arrival; serving staff had to assign a table and we had to ask to be moved due to noise. We moved but server thought we left so we waited a long time to be served only to find our first choice of menu option (for all of us) wasn’t available; they might have posted this on their website!

Sat outside on a sunny Saturday afternoon. 20 mins before anyone even bothered to take a drinks order for the six of us. Once taken 20 mins for drinks to arrive. Would have spent more and had more drinks but staff disinterested in serving or understaffed. Won't be back anytime soon.

Was so disappointed with the pea and asparagus risotto. Impossible to detect the wine or cheese flavour and pretty sure the chef didn't do the traditional final addition of butter. Just not good for the price.

Booked Canary Wharf branch with friends as the Bluewater branch has always been great, only 4 of us, for Saturday 12th April. Will never go back!! They had booked all of downstairs out to a sports club celebrating their end of season - Anyone who knows sports teams knows how loud we can get! Would've been fine except it was an open ceiling & balcony from upstairs to downstairs. So our 45 minute wait for drinks & starters was accompanied by chanting, shouting, table banging, speeches on a microphone, for everyone to hear. It was funny to start, shouting across our table to chat to our friends but after nearly an hour, then being told more then half the menu they had run out of, it was beyond a joke. The poor service team had been stitched up royally by their booking manager. They were trying their best & let us walk out without having to pay, as we gave up after being told the mains would be - a long time but we don't know how long. Laughable. We went Zizzis & had a yummy pizza!

We were greeted by Nicola who was so lovely! She was very accommodating and her customer service was 10/10!

We had a wonderful evening, and that was largely thanks to our amazing waitress, Jade. Her service was absolutely outstanding – friendly, attentive, warm, and professional at the same time. She made us feel truly welcome, was always available without being intrusive, and even had a few great recommendations ready. You rarely experience such warmth and dedication – a true highlight of our visit. Thank you, Jade, for this thoroughly enjoyable evening!

Finally got the chance to try this British brasserie in Canary Wharf and it’s certainly a delight to dine here. My friend accidentally made the booking on the wrong date but there were plenty of seats when I arrived at 6pm. Opt for the two courses on the early evening menu and picked this duck Bon Bons as starter which is surprisingly nice (well not sure what to expect at start!), and Beef Shin & Red Wine Ravioli which is tasty too. The only downside is the Amalfi Sprite which consists of Lyre’s Italian spritz with white grape & apricot soda. Probably I was expecting something sweeter but it tastes quite bitter at first sips before getting better. My friend got a steak main and the Bramley Apple & Rhubarb Crumble for dessert which I had a few bites, and was a delight too!

First time having afternoon tea and oh my gosh, it was absolutely amazing! Such a lovely experience from start to finish. The restaurant is spacious and cozy, the service was brilliant, and the afternoon tea itself was phenomenal. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts were all incredibly delicious and beautifully presented!

OMG my daughters arranged an afternoon tea as a surprise with all my family last Saturday as a surprise my 60th birthday. What a complete let down. The service was appalling despite being lots of staff asking around. No one was attentive and we had to keep trying to catch their eye for more milk and sugar and more tea. The sandwiches were tiny and 2 fingers each and the cakes stale. We asked 3 times for scones with currents as we were only given plane and they finally arrived as we were paying the bill - our afternoon tea looked nothing like that shown in the pictures. Save your money and avoid this place. I was so embarrassed my family had come from Cambridge/Surrey and Suffolk!

Arrival to starters was over an hour wait, with no explanation other than 'someone has put it on hold for some reason' - food quality was disappointing for the price tag and the restaurant was extremely understaffed making it very difficult to get service. A lot of better options in the area at a more reasonable price

Although gluten free options, the portion sizes weren't as large as main menu. As my Mum said, "some places feel that as they have gluten free food, that's enough. Effort doesn't then go into making it as nice as the regular food." I think she's right.

Went to browns on a Sunny sunday, today actually, ordered the chicken schnitzel, it came out dark brown, rather then golden, i explained that it was dry and overcooked, the colouring alone would suggest that, it was taken away then I was told a new one was being made, without anyone checking to see if that was what I would like, i explained at this point my partner had finished the meal and solo dining wasn’t what we had planned so stated that I wouldn’t like a replacement and maybe better to check with guest before assuming reorder? My dish was comped but service charge added, I asked to remove which wouldn’t do usually but no check back made on dishes and lack of comms didn’t deserve an added service charge.

During my recent visit to Browns at West India Quay, I decided to try a main course for the first time and opted for the filet mignon steak. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. The steak had a distinct bitter flavor, likely due to a dirty grill imparting the taste of burned residues—a concern I’ve encountered elsewhere and find unacceptable. While the service was satisfactory and the atmosphere pleasant, the quality of the main course overshadowed these aspects.

Had a lovely brunch. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was good ( had the burger ) and the drinks were all very good. Excellent service. It’s a lovely place with a great atmosphere and I will definitely come again

Came here for their mother's day roast. No Sunday roasts available. Staff were run off their feet as obviously they haven't staffed correctly. Most of the food wasn't available. Absolutely poor service. Won't be coming here again

This place likes to increase the price but the quality of food has gone down since I started ordering here with uber, they had £60 of me for tough and small portion beef ,the chicken was one piece and not 2 like it normally be plus dry,the pork was ok,the veg was ok ,wasnt greasy like they do somtimes , the stuffing was raw ,but yet I paid good money,then they will blame uber driver saying they was long ,which is a lie ,they are great for lieing,if I wasn't busy I would have gone there and ask em ,would they eat dry tough meat and return it .I'm not happy 😒.

Got an expired sider , and after noticing it , said to the waitress and instead of apologies he said its OK, nothing is wrong with it . Waooo

Party of 8, chosen for a birthday lunch, Food was bland/tasteless. Not impressed. The sourdough bread was good and the best thing many of us had by far.

We visited Browns Bar and Brasserie in Canary Wharf, London, for brunch during our family UK trip in August 2024, and it was such a delightful experience! We were seated outside on a beautiful sunny day, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The ambience was perfect, with a relaxed yet vibrant vibe. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a lovely dining experience in Canary Wharf!

A very relaxed but smart pub with a large seating area outside. My favourite in this area.

Sadly not the best experience. 3 of our 6 starters were barely warm/bordering on cold (1 person sent their soup back for it to be warmed) it came back baked around the rim where it had boiled in the microwave. The mains were nice but the plates were stone cold which made the food go cold very quickly. Sadly not upto what you would expect from Browns, typical canary wharf over priced and looks fancy but not really with the food or experience quality to match.

Four of us called in after our visit to the nearby Docklands Museum. We were given the choice of a number of tables; the staff were friendly and courteous. Our drinks order was taken after a short time and we were then given time to study the menu. Good range of options on the menu. Food was delivered promptly and was well presented, served hot and was very tasty. Would recommend this restaurant.

The schnitzel and roast were very good. We came to this place after a 10k run on the recommendation of people from another restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, especially Nicole. We had delicious food and relaxed while listening to piano music.

Simona helped us to have an amazing night. So kind and patient. She took time to advise us. Absolutely a pleasure forward to seeing her again in this nice restaurant well located.

This is a really nice restaurant, perfect for any special occasion. The food was really good I had lobster linguine and my companion had steak and chips both of which were excellent in flavour and quality. The cocktails are good and of course location was great. Will definitely come back here in future.

I have a party every year and invite everyone I would like to come to my funeral. A Wake while I’m Awake. 85 people yesterday. Wonderful service, professional and friendly and delicious food. A great party on what was a very gloomy day in London.

I went to the restaurant last night with my girls and we had a great time. They have great food and the service was excellent. I was glad seeing vegetarian options as well. Mr Reece was so nice and kind to us. It was lovely altogether.

Came here for an intimate couples evening, our server Joe was everything close to perfection. Thank you for the wonderful evening Joe, however my husband may of drank abit too much. Will be back soon.

We had the roast which was ok. I got the beef and my friend got the chicken. The beef was easy to eat but it was not piping hot! They could improve on how they cook their potatoes, it was slightly over cooked and the gravy as lacked flavour/ salt

This sadly was a terrible lunchtime experience, I ordered my meal then chef decided to make what they wanted and the waiter was clueless! A manager came over and tried to explain and make some offers but I went there for lunch not offers! All round bad experience!

I went there on Sunday with my Husband and Adult Grandson, they fitted us in which was so kind as they were busy, the food was gorgeous, prawns and scallops to start, so tasty, then we had the roast pork, beef and a sea bass risotto all beautifully cooked, we really enjoyed it, the staff including the manager could not do enough for us, they were friendly and gave excellent service and attention, thank you we had a lovely afternoon at Browns and looking to book again next month when we are back in London

Arrived for breakfast at 11.30am thinking is was until 12, however our lovely waitress Nicole popped to the kitchen and asked the chef if he could still do breakfast, thankfully it was a yes and it was delicious, we both had the traditional breakfast which was massive, everything was cooked perfectly from the runny eggs to the crispy but not burnt bacon, the mango smoothie along with lattes where all really nice. I think front of house staff make a big difference to a restaurant and therefore need to give a massive 10/10 to Nicole, friendly, funny, personable and very professional.

We first came here unexpectedly on an October Sunday and they fitted in our group of 8 no problem. Most of us had the roast and it was beautiful! The staff were friendly, and it encouraged us to come back in December. December: mainly had the festive menu, and it was a great experience. We had crackers, a corner table, and we had a great time. The food (all 3 courses x 8 people) was fantastic - clear plates all round. A couple of confusions over the menu/bill, but all sorted. Richardo(?) was our waiter and was very friendly, helpful and attentive at the right times. Will be visiting again.

Joe the General manager was a delight made our evening so special as it was also our anniversary. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better evening.

Had a really disappointing visit to browns on Tuesday. Was a special occasion for a family members birthday. Service was incredibly slow with only 2 members of staff serving, which isn’t their fault but bad planning by management. We had booked a table well in advance as well. Took over 40 minutes to get drinks and an hour for food. The chicken on the kids meals was inedible it was burnt and dry. The afternoon tea was very average, sandwiches dry and very small scones. No acknowledgment of special occasion even though it was mentioned on the booking. Overall not the standard we would expect from Browns and would not return.

We had our new year eve dinner in Browns. It was an amazing and beautiful night. Goods, services and atmosphere are all good! People are happy there.

Overall a very nice restaurant. Ate there today for Lunch with my family, not that busy which was nice as we got our food served fairly fast.

We thought the wine selection was lovely. Stop Everything else was awful. The service was bad with rude and inattentive staff. Who were shouting across the restaurant at each other about friends they knew and drinking alcohol direct for the bar. Staff realised they had been spotted drinking alcohol and ran away laughing to the back area. We were told the scallops were only one left. My elderly aunt was sick 2.5h later indicating a high risk of food poisoning. My elderly mothers champagne cocktail was warm and returned twice before giving up. We were charged for things on the bill we didn't have. The waitress was very abrasive in her manner. We have encountered rude staff before at browns. But decided to return year after year for birthday meals. As the food normally wins. This time however we have decided to stop coming to browns entirely. We are so unhappy as my mother's birthday was ruined. We really tried to keep our chins up and carry on. However this was impossible due to staff behaviour. We will never recommend browns. And would deter people from West India Quay branch too.

Xmas Day dinner, not great at all!!!! £100pp set festive menu. Food was all average, cold and overcooked. Not even an alcoholic or 1 soft drink included in that price. Atmosphere is great, so best to just go for a drink

Great location in the popular Canary Wharf area. Food menu was the festive type a bit limited post christmas. Service was ok a bit of a gap between starts and main course. In the main the staff were excellent although being told by our waiter that service charge was not a tip when the bill was presented was rude.

We had a fantastic meal here, the decorations were lovely, the food and service was 5 star! We were celebrating my sisters birthday and it was a memorable experience, we will 100 percent be back!
