Me and my partner had a great experience for our lunch. Pasta was delicious, staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. Definitely going back.

We went during the lunch time and had a wonderful time . The ambience was warm and inviting , the service was outstanding and very attentive and the food was divine , would surely visit again .

Worst service staff i have ever encountered in a restaurant. Impatient for us to make payment when we were discussing to pay in cash or card. Had to come back and forth with a rude attitude to demand payment thrice in a matter of 30 seconds while whispering with other service staff with worry looks on their faces. Some advice, give your customers time to enjoy the ambience and not rush quickly for payment, that is not how you do service. We can easily pay for your affordable pasta that is subpar at best. Will not recommend to visit til staff changes their high horse attitude but dresses like a poor man farm

Tasty pastas and cosy ambience, but staff service was absolute trash. Had initially wanted to leave a 5/5 star rating review after our meal but was turned off by the staff's attitude and service while footing the bill. The waitress passed us the bill, and we considered to pay in cash as we might have sufficient cash on hand to foot the bill. She comes over in less than a min to check on us if we were alright, and we told her that we'd like to pay in cash if we had enough on hand (we were busy counting the cash notes & coins we had). She looks shocked and told us that they don't offer any change, and that if we would like to pay in cash we would have to pay in the exact amount. We said okay and we continued to count our cash. 10 seconds later, she comes over and asked us if we were done. I said no, and politely asked for more time and she said okay. 10 seconds later, another waitress came over and asked if we were done. We do not understand what this rush was all about, and why the staff was so impatient with us footing the bill - couldn't you wait? We had more than enough money to pay foot the freaking £40 bill, just chill guys. It's not a 4 million bill for christ's sake. Staff service is just trash; it soured our entire experience.

The pasta was excellent and the waitress provided top-notch service. We visited for lunch and were well taken care of. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing. The pasta and service were both very good. We will definitely return.

Quando in un ristorante italiano ci sono degli italiani alla gestione si parte già con il piede giusto. Tutti molto buoni, compresi i dolci che (a nostra sorpresa) ci sono stati gentilmente offerti poichè era finito un tipo di pasta lunga e non ci era stato comunicato arrivando della pasta corta. Non era dovuto, ma molto molto apprezzato. Prezzi in linea con Londra, medio-alti.

Brilliant food, tasty and genuine: well cooked pasta and great, kind service. We really enjoyed the creamy walnut sauce pasta and the carbonara was spectacular! On desserts I highly recommend the pistachio cheesecake.

Fantastic restaurant! Whenever we are in London we have no doubts about the choice of restaurant: genuine products, friendly and kind staff, very fast times and the dishes are excellent. Nothing to envy of traditional Italian cuisine, my family and I love "Emilia's"!

The pasta was nice, but our staff Vestina was a bit rude… our family decided not to go back here.

AVOID — bad service. Our waitress Vestina had an abysmal attitude considering the high service charge. My father, who is not a native English speaker, was struggling to pronounce one of the wines and she scowled at him as he tried to order.

Very satisfied! We stopped by without a reservation and Siali very kindly assigned us a place at the counter. A very exciting place because you can watch from the counter how the food is freshly prepared. We were also able to exchange a few words with the chefs, which was very funny. The fresh food was delicious. A visit is definitely recommended.

Very delicious, authentic Italien food !

So sad to see a great restaurant trending in a negative direction. I’m a local and know many others in the area who used to crave the Emilia’s carbonara, we would come here at least every couple of weeks. The last three times the pasta has been overcooked, with a very white carbonara sauce, only a couple of tiny pieces of Pancetta. I suspect the ingredients cost has increased due to inflation and they’re trying to produce the same dishes without increasing costs which is leading to a decrease in quality. Personally I’d be happy to pay a bit more to get quality food. The first time we had to send the pasta back (from someone who really doesn’t like sending food back) because there was simply no sauce at all. The second two times we ate the food but left unhappy. The pasta also used to be perfectly al dente, the last two times it was overcooked. Very sad to see, first the Emilia’s on St Katherine’s docks and now the Aldgate one too. Fortunately there are many other places nearby for great food, but it’s sad to lose one of our favourite spots!

Chouette découverte culinaire après une visite peu intéressante du musée de Sherlock Holmes. En passant devant le restaurant ça sentait bon et nous avions faim... et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Mention spéciale pour les pâtes, qui sont toutes fraîches, à la bolognèse qui m'ont rappelé celles de ma grand-mère. Attention au moment de l'addition on vous rajoute 12,5% pour le service, il n'est pas compris dans les prix affichés. En moyenne il faut compter 25 à 40 livres Sterling par personne, ce qui peut sembler cher pour des pâtes fraîches mais encore une fois Londres en général est cher.

All in all, I don't think there's anything to complain about. Everything else is weak. London is expensive, it's true, but when you pay £16 for carbonara, you should eat it. The portions are very small and the taste? Not the one that should be either. Nothing in the entire family knocked anyone down. The worst money spent on a trip to London.

When I came to Emilia’s crafted pasta , I tried the carbonara with pancetta, truffled cacio e pepe and the pesto pasta. All the pastas were super delicious , I highly recommend the truffled cacio e pepe and the carbonara, both had a delicious creamy, cheesy flavour and the actual pasta itself is perfect. I love that you can choose whatever pasta shape you’d like, I loved the bucatini. The truffled cacio e pepe could have a stronger truffle flavour in my opinion, but it was still delicious. For dessert I ordered the panna cotta, it was nice but nothing particularly amazing. Unfortunately I do have to mention how disgusting the bathroom was. There were dead flies all over the sink, all over the floor and also loads of alive flies flying around, I was shocked at how many there were. There were also flies flying around the restaurant so I really suggest you do something about that.

Look, this is in the financial area of London. It won’t be cheap. It won’t be great ambience or service. It will all be quite simple and functional. But therefore I prefer to judge based on food quality predominantly. This is not an Italian restaurant to be clear. Don’t come here for scaloppine or Vitello or a nice pizza. This is an easy concept of fresh pasta and that’s about it aside from desserts. The menu is also fairly limited so don’t expect endless choices of pasta types or sauces, but what they do have includes a lot of crowd pleasers, variation in styles and a whole lot of flavour. My lamb ravioli were very good and prepared quickly and efficiently. It was a nice, if not large, portion size, especially with a £16 price tag, but heh it’s London. Lovely fancy brand of sparkling Italian orange drink, albeit bonkers at £4.50! I was sat at the bar overlooking where all the chefs cook the pasta…the 12.5% service charge was comical really. The waiter took my order and then the chef passed me my plate of food as he cooked it right in front of me. That cost me £2.56 for that lack of interaction! And then it took me about 10 minutes in a tiny restaurant to pay the bill! So, a 4/5 rating is solely for the food. And maybe for the concept. But service (indifferent,used to dealing with London city people who are nasty and don’t even care), ambience (cramped), and very high price = 2/5. Doubt this mini chain will last long, even in London. Would not recommend and would not return. Overall gets a 3/5.

Excellent pasta and tiramisu to die for!

We had a lovely evening! The pasta was delicious and the server very attentive and quick. We had the 4-hour slow cooked bolognese (which I highly recommend) and the carbonara. Both tasted amazing and the portion size was just right in our opinion. For dessert we tried the tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake. My partner was skeptical of the cheesecake at first, because things with pistachios can be very hit or miss but he ended up liking it even more than the tiramisu! The tiramisu was also great but between the two, I would recommend the cheesecake. The quality of the food, service and overall ambiance make it the perfect place for a tasty meal!

With my family i had dinner in this restaurant. Ee are italian and our doubt about restautant is very high…but we had a dinner as in our house. We have appreciated main course and dessert. Congratulation to the staff and owners.

The homemade pasta was delicous (we had the 4-hour slow cooked Bolognese and the carbonara, both dishes are highly recommended by us) and had the perfect size. For dessert we choosed the Tiramisu and the pistachio cheesecake, both Desserts were very delicous aswell and they are a must try in our opinion. The server was very friendly and attentive. Overall we had an amazing evening at Emilia's Crafted Pasta in our vacation.

Français fuyez ! Alors c'est tout à fait mangeable mais cela n'a vraiment rien d'exceptionnel !! Les quantités sont toutes petites ! On a payé 50 £ pour 2 plat de pâte ( pas copieux !) et une bouteille d'eau !! C'est scandaleux ! 12% de pourboire faut pas déconner ! En France ça serait juste inacceptable.

A very nice Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I got the sourdough bruschetta to start and the homemade tomato and basil pasta as a main, both tasted incredible, especially the pasta.

Some of the best pasta we have ever tasted ( and we've eaten plenty of pasta); the sauces were right on the nail and pasta al dente as promised. The mixed salad was an inspiring mixture of delicious flavours and textures and could be eaten as a great meal in its own right. Service was great and the wine just right. No hesitation in coming back.

Basically, for the price I would of hoped for a bigger portion, for two of us 1 starter, two glasses of wine and a pasta dish came up to £61 The food wasn’t very seasoned had to utilise the tables condiments. Probably would of been better off in vaps

Quality homemade pasta. There were 5 of us and we all chose different dishes and we were won over by the plates. I took the truffle pasta, the dosage was good so as not to overwhelm the whole dish. Dose of pepper too so avoid as it is if you don't like spicy dishes. Prices are not given (but it’s London). Normal portion for a restaurant, don't expect large dishes of Italian pasta. Super good tiramisu and cheese cake. Raspberry ice cream is really great for children. A little noisy because of a lot of tables. The Hugo cocktail with elderflower, prosecco, mint and a touch of lemon is very refreshing (€12). My spritz was a bit light tasting. To do

I was in London on business and wanted to eat somewhere with a cozy atmosphere that served Italian food. Normally I don't order pasta at restaurants, but I wanted to give Emilia's a try - and I am very glad that I did! The food was exceptional and smashed expectations and reasonably priced too. I had the 4 hour slow cooked Ragu, and the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return in future!

Bruschetta was amazing; Carbonara over-salted. Drinks refreshing! Would return for dessert. We started with Sourdough Bruschetta. With perfect seasoning, garlic & freshly chopped basil the evening started off with a bang! It was taking me back to a hearty village in Italy I never knew I visited. FRESH and Top Tier! Next came the main, Pistachio & Basil Pesto sounded tempting but I kept it safe with a classic Carbonara. They had a smoked salmon variant but I opted for pancetta of course. Despite its creamy surface, the seasoning wasn’t cooperating. It tasted like the cook dropped a whole bowl of salt on it. That teamed up with some what rubbery pancetta made the main a big miss! - The Bruschetta was definitely the MVP of the match!🏆 For drinks I grabbed something new on their menu, the Organic Italian peach ice tea. It was surprisingly refreshing, think Lipton in First Class. I think it was the fact they used raw bucatini as straws, maybe it’s a secret flavour enhancer. The coat hangers on concrete pillars were a cool addition. We didn’t have dessert this time but I saw they had a Homemade Amaretto Tiramisù which sounds great an I would defo try next time. Despite the subpar main, I’ll be back for sure. The Pistachio Sicilian twist is calling my name!”

My pasta tasted fine but this is the first time I ever sat googling alternative restaurants to go to as soon as I finished. I would not recommend this place for dinner....portions are small for the price and very little protein (just a few specs in the sauce). Maybe this is the traditional Italian way? I've never been to Italy but I expected at least one meat item to balance the carbs.
