Food was delicious. Fits the category of comfort food perfectly. We got 2 different pasta dishes. Both vegan. The only issue was that the portion was a bit too small and was not even halfway close to filling. Service was fine, but upon entry the communication felt a little “in one’s face” with the constant emphasis on “oh no reservation” even though the whole place was practically empty. I’m sure the intent wasn’t to be rude but it almost came off as it by constantly being emphasizing it.

Location & food is good. I was sitting by the window. A bird fell down while I was eating. The size of a magpie. I politely reported this to the manager that it was an unsavory sight and that it scared the passers-by. The manager laughed about it and constantly looked at me as if I was stupid. In short: the staff did nothing about it. They think it's a sensation that everyone walks by and gets scared. I find it very inappropriate and unsavory while eating.

The food was great… Might be a little harsh but they brought the wrong meal for my friend though it was discussed with the waiter. An honest mistake and good recovery as it was resolved as quickly as they could.

This place is not a Michelin starred restaurant but it doesn't try to be. What it is, though, is a very good reasonably priced pasta restaurant that excels at what it does. Very good straightforward food, good service, and reasonable prices all make a winning formula. I've eaten here 7-8 times and I WILL be back.

Absolutely fantastic last minute decision to go for lunch here, we were passing through and had some time to kill. It's hard to find a decent Italian restaurant in London, so I'm really pleased we found this gem. I had the tomato and pasta with basil and mozzarella, my partner had the ravioli. I also had a glass of red and it was beautiful.

We've been here a couple of times as a couple and they've had tables available immediately. The pasta is delicious and the sauces so rich and filling.

The food was absolutely divine. We had the Lamb Ravioli, the slow cooked Béchamel Bolognese and the Italian Green Salad. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully prepared. As incredible as the food was, the service was even more impressive. Warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful from start to finish. An unforgettable experience. Thank you very much for making it such an unforgettable experience.

Expensive dry carbonara with no seasoning or love. Staff sprinting past the crowded tables in a frenzy. Waiter rushed us with no eye contact. A hefty service charge when the service was no more than taking the order and delivering the food. Then at till being asked if we want to pay an extra tip! Sad to say Emilias is just another cynical fast food joint dressed up in a story about regional Italian food. I just returned from Puglia and they wouldn't recognise any of this.

Delicious food, and as a solo diner I was treated very kindly and got a seat at the pasta bar which I loved. Every staff member was attentive and helpful, and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. I had the carbonara and salad and it was wonderful.

Nunca pido pasta, la encuentro sosa. Y aburrido. Bueno, eso fue hasta que llegamos Al de Emilia el viernes pasado. Nos recibieron muy cálidamente. El personal era amable y atento. La comida era increíble y muy sabrosa. Teníamos la pasta de pesto de pistacho y la de tomate y queso burrato. ¡Ambos deliciosos! El chocolate caliente era el mejor que habíamos probado en cualquier lugar. Volveremos tan pronto como podamos. Gracias a todos.

Vi a Emelia el jueves cuando buscaba una comida. Atraídos al instante por el bullicio, y el ambiente interior y el aspecto de la comida que sale en platos, llegamos, como era de esperar este lugar estaba ocupado (pero no ruidoso) y lleno, Decidiendo que realmente queríamos comer aquí reservamos para el martes siguiente, no nos decepcionó. El personal era muy amable, y conocedor del menú. Mi marido y yo nos acomodamos en 2 platos principales y una ensalada crujiente compartida, que no dejó de cumplir con las expectativas. Mi marido tenía la boloñesa de ternera molida, y dijo "Mejor que he tenido" que nunca comenta realmente sobre la comida. Fui por el cordero y salvia raviolis, con salvia y salsa de mantequilla. ¡Bonita! Las porciones, la presentación y el sabor de la comida fueron sobresalientes. El precio era muy aceptable para el estándar y la calidad de los ingredientes. No podemos esperar para ir a Emelia de nuevo, solo vamos a Londres una vez al año, pequeño restaurante encantador estará en nuestra lista la próxima visita. The service was very efficient and friendly. The staff were great at dealing with allergies and recommendations. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. Will definitely be going back.

Carbonara top 👍 but special inedible Bolognese! Way too spicy!!! Service without more and in addition the waiters tidy the tables and mop the floors while you have not finished eating 🙄

One of the pasta we have ever eaten. Everything is fresh and made by the Restaurant especially the Pasta itself. You should add a side salad to your order, you will enjoy it and for sure a limoncello at the end 😉

Just had a fantastic dinner in this amazing restaurant. Really good food but for me the best was the staff. You know that feeling when you go to your favourite restaurant in your hometown and they know your name and what you like? This was the kind of experience i had. If you want a really good pasta and you appreciate a good service, this is the spot to go. Thank you all for the amazing experience to all the staff 🙌🏽

Promising based on visual research but left disappointed in its execution. The food tasted average and was overpriced for its billing and provided portion. House rules in the restaurant were put in place but seemed slightly defensive as it negates a welcoming invitation to its visitors. The service was mixed which was surprising considering the foundation of Italian hospitality is all about being friendly, but half of this felt slightly cold hearted. Other branches seem to out-rate the Aldgate location which is something of note, but would rather dine at different restaurants instead.

Super tasty, although not cheap. A little bit of air conditioning for summer weather, otherwise OK.

We tried to find Italian food and we succeeded, from Puglia Salento we arrived in London and had dinner at Emilias, a welcoming place in the centre. As an Italian, I can honestly say that I ate one of the best pastas ever - not even in Puglia have I tasted one like this! The products are of the highest quality, you can really feel the care and attention in every dish. Luigi was very kind, as were the owner and all the staff: they welcomed us with real warmth, making us feel at home. They let us try some pasta and it was all exceptional. An experience to repeat without a doubt!

When booking, you should keep in mind that the “High Top” option to be selected means “sitting on stools at the bar”. From there you can watch the chefs at work. As a pregnant couple, we asked to get another place. After waiting 10 minutes, we were very kindly moved to a nice place by the window. The food was really delicious, but the portions are quite small, so it's better to choose an appetizer to go with it. Otherwise good service and friendly staff.

cannot rate this place highly enough! the food was incredible, and although the restaurant is small, it really adds to the charm of the whole place. my party got the carbonara and i got the regular tomato sauce pasta, and it was a perfect portion size, fresh, and yummy. our server luigi really went out of his way to make us feel welcome! emilia’s really feels like a true piece of italy in the heart of london

Delicious food. We ordered the finely sliced bresaola as the antipasti which was perfect for 3 people. I also got the carbonara which was sooo good. 10/10. Our waiter Luigi suggested the grappa which was a bit strong for us, but overall very good. Would love to come back the next time I’m in London.

One of the best meals I have had in some time. Great service and the food was outstanding. I recommend the Burrata, slow cooked ragu and the amaretto tiramisu. With a special mention to the amazing pistachio ice cream!

This was a find by my girls, one of whom is a namesake to the restaurant which was part of the appeal. It's a small restaurant with around 20 tables so reservations highly recommended. We saw several folks turned away who didn't have reservations. Servers were very friendly and the open kitchen allows you to see what's happening in real-time. We actually sat next to the kitchen and it was great to watch the activity. The establishment also lives by some guidelines, such as all pasta is cooked "al dente" and according to the sign, it was they way they were taught and therefore do not expect soft pasta. The interesting second rule is they don't serve chicken pasta which also is not considered Italian and thus there is no chicken on the menu. After you experience the menu, you will understand why they live by those rules. The 4-hour cooked Bolognese with pappardelle pasta was delish! My oldest had the carbonara, the youngest at the pesto, and the wife got the garden salad. No dish had anything left in it by the time we were done. Literally, cleaned plates. We didn't know if they had desserts but when they started to pick up the plates we were asked if there was an interest in dessert. Of course! I went for the affogato which was great. Older one took the tiramisu, which she liked a lot but did say the amaretto was a bit overpowering. The younger went for the pistachio cheesecake and the wife tried the chocolate salami, which was chocolate mixed with bisquick, rolled and cut to resemble salami. Everyone's dessert disappeared except for the salami. While an interesting take, maybe a bit too hard as the consistency was not like salami. Overall, great night at Emilia's and great find given we're just not into bangers and mash.

Found this restaurant on Google close to our hotel. Perfectly cooked pasta . Al dente . The lamb ravioli was exceptional. The bruschetta starter was made with obviously fresh tomatoes and peppers. Exploded with flavor. When in London visit here , you won’t be disappointed

A very nice Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I have been meaning to try Italian in London for a while. I got the sourdough bruschetta to start and the homemade carbonara and truffle cacia Pepe as a main, both tasted incredible. Thanks sali for looking after us, We definitely will be back.

We came here for a couples date and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, authentic Italian cuisine and courteous service. We got the special ravioli with cheese and peas, as well as the Mushroom with Hazelnuts Casarecce pasta for mains. The Mushroom Casarecce was more rich and creamy than the Ravioli, but both were delicious. We had the burrata for starters which was delicious as well, perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth alongside the sourdough bread. We’ve tried other Italian restaurants, but the ingredients tasted very authentically Italian especially the olive oil tasted as if we were in Italy. We also loved the vanilla panna cotta, the Vanilla was freshly peeled so was also very rich and sweet. The restaurant felt very homely with lots of pasta quotes around the venue and personalised touches such as pasta straws for the drinks. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our dining experience here. We highly recommend booking in advance, to get a table during peak hours. The area around the restaurant isn’t great, but once you’re inside it’s a vibrant, relaxed and comfortable setting for a meal. It was a meal to remember!

We had a salad and a burrata as is antipasti. And for the first course a cacio e pepe, and a carbonara with bacon. The waiter, Luigi, was very kind and the service was quick 🥳 We ate very well!!!

Overall a really good experience. The personell was really attentive and always available. We made a request to change an order and they helped us immediately. The pasta was tasty and perfectly al dente. It was a bit loud but that's not the restaurants fault. A few stars missing on ambience because the toilet was a bit dirty. I liked the attention to detail in the decoration. Our waitress was Saliem (at least that's what it says on the receipt) and she was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Awesome pasta and service from Luigi. We have been here in 2023 (other location) and now for the second time - hope to get the chance to come at least for a third round.

The service was very interested and accommodating. The food from main course to main course to dessert was excellent and there was nothing to complain about for our entire table of 4 people. We are food lovers & we all still love it. Our waiter Luigi made our evening very pleasant and was super friendly.

Very nice restaurant with extremely tasty and fresh food! We were here once before, but at one of the other locations, two years ago and we found it so convincing that we definitely wanted to come back. Both the starter, pasta and dessert were fantastic! A must-go! Luigi as the cellar was also very personable and served us well throughout the evening. The other staff were also very attentive and friendly.

The food was super tasty. From starter, to main course & dessert. Everything is a culinary delight. Our waitress Luigi was also super nice and gave us good advice on our choice of food. You can taste that the noodles are homemade and freshly made. The quality is noticeably delicious! The atmosphere was super cool and casual. However, it was a bit cooler due to the climate, which is why I deducted a star. But otherwise there's nothing wrong with the restaurant and I really recommend it from the bottom of my heart <3

Pasta is a bit too aldente to my liking but the sauce are so creative and works well together. My favorite is the pistachio pesto. Spring special is great as well. For desert we had pistachio and mascarpone ice cream and pistachio cheesecake

Food was ok . But there’s no atmosphere and staff members are very judgmental about what the customer ordered. Ordered pasta carbonara with salmon but the quantity of the salmon was too small for the price. Would be better if the staff member focused on upselling then judging the customer order. Not everyone walking through the door is homeless.

It was very busy but staff were still friendly and made sure we were checked on throughout the visit for if the food was okay or we wanted more drinks. Pasta was a little more al dente than my preference but I much prefer that to soft pasta - good carbonara made properly with no cream ❤️ Also good pricing especially for a london restaurant
