Food was hot and was delicious, the packaging the food was in was great too

Reservation needed especially weekends. The restaurant was pack! Luckily we made reservations in advance. May try the dear liver, Pizza was delicious too.

Unfriendly condition. We were ignored. Maybe because we are Germans. Never again!!

Firstly, the restaurant was FREEZING to sit and comfortably dine in. The food wasn't great, we ordered 'fresh' ravioli pasta dishes, they didn't taste fresh, and the portion size was unfullfilling. For pudding, we had creme brulees, which were below average.

Very good address, the dishes are copious and very well cooked! Fast service and the team takes great care. An excellent surprise.

Mixed feelings. The first night last week, there was a very professional, kind, and knowledgeable waiter, and the food was delicious. Last night, we decided to go back for dinner to repeat the experience, but we found two female waitresses with ordinary language and manners, which ended up ruining even the food.

Where to start...let's say from the name. For whom it is not Italian or familiar with Italian Language the name is where to start La Figa. This is a terms that indicate women genital part very much used in the 80's. This restaurant recall a lot of that period including the Bar Area very similar to the one that you would seen in a Disco back in the 80's in Rome. Their food it is really good and their product authentic, nothing to say. I had a lovely Whitebait as startee and they were very well done, crispy with a light bread crumb batter. We follow are meal with a Pizza, really good one, thin and crisp with a very great toppings. This is the results of a good experience on managing flour and hoven (Electric). Bravo chef. We finished our meal with a Creme Caramel, once again a classic of the 80's. The lady that look after us was really nice and with a great experience and made our meal really enjoyable, thank you for your kindness and professionalism. Overall a place to go if you want to have great food and service, to the owner I would only suggest maybe is time to refresh and move on from the 80' (We are on our 55 so we lived and loved that time but we adapted as well to the new era). By the way as we were used to say back in our time alway "Viva La Figa ...Restaurant"

Hmmm, very tasty 😉. Great fresh products, herbs, spices and oils are optimally coordinated. The portions are more than sufficient 😉. The carbonara is to die for. The prices, especially for the wines, are quite high, but the quality is great. The ambience is a bit cool and spacious. Conclusion: Recommended

What can I say, the name is a guarantee. I found the staff extremely friendly, quick and pleasant. I found the food very good and well served. The three of us bought two Burgers la Figa, a Pollo la Figa, a basket of panpizza and two bottles of water, spending a total of €78. Excellent value for money.

An excellent trattoria with a warm, unpretentious family vibe. Highlights of the menu include the fresh pasta section and their daily specials. I've been going there for many years and am delighted that the quality control of their seafood dishes has significantly improved (excellent)!

Had a meal for two spontaneously and without a reservation. No problem at all. The food came very quickly and tasted delicious. We had a calzone and a funghi pizza. The portions are huge. But because of the thin dough it was still possible to eat it. However, it was very loud in the room, so only 4 stars for the ambience.

Nice place, unfortunately we were the only ones eating here. It's a bit of an afterthought but a delicious meal. Portions were also large so we had enough with just the main course anyway.

Food very tasty! Prices very high! Despite the fact that the restaurant is far outside the center and does not offer any added value through views etc., the prices are very high! We paid £110 for 4 main courses & 6 drinks! Staff great!

Almorzamos recientemente en el restaurante La Figa para celebrar el cumpleaños de un familiar. Al llegar noté que los cubiertos en la mesa no se veían limpios y las servilletas tampoco. Pedí su cangrejo de concha suave con langostinos para empezar, cuando llegó se veía impresionante ya que el plato era enorme. Sin embargo, cuando empecé a comerlo, me di cuenta de que los langostinos no estaban descascarillados, simplemente estaba rebozado y frito con la cáscara aún intacta y el tubo digestivo negro (saco de popó) a lo largo de la parte posterior de los langostinos no se eliminó. Estas gambas no fueron limpiadas en absoluto. Un miembro de la familia pidió vieiras envueltas en panceta, lo probé y estaba demasiado cocido y muy salado. Pedí pez espada con berenjena para la alimentación principal, pero cuando llegó mi pez espada vino sin la berenjena, cubierto de salsa de mantequilla y tenía un olor funky muy fuerte y a podrido. He comido pez espada muchas veces antes y el pez espada fresco o cualquier pescado fresco no huele. Tenía miedo de comer esto ya que olía tan mal, pero comí un trozo pequeño solo para probarlo y me pareció muy salado como beber agua de mar, no quería comer más. Es como si el chef lo rociara con sal para ocultar el olor, pero no se podía ocultar ya que olía tan mal. Más de 3/4 del pescado se quedó sin comer ya que me preocupaba el olor. En su lugar tomé un poco de pasta de arabiata de mi pareja que tenía un sabor amargo a medida que se quemaba el ajo. Luego probé los espaguetis de otro miembro de la familia, que eran sosos y poco inspiradores. No queriendo hacer alboroto por el mal olor del pez espada, pedí llevármelo a casa, sabiendo muy bien que iba directo a la papelera cuando salí del restaurante. Incluso cuando estaba en un contenedor sellado y dentro de la bolsa, el olor era tan fuerte que permeaba a través del contenedor y la bolsa. Unas horas más tarde, comencé a sentir un terrible dolor de estómago y terminé vomitando con proyectiles. Sabía que era el dudoso pez espada, ya que no había comido nada en todo el día aparte del almuerzo en este restaurante. Otro miembro de la familia también estaba enfermo por la comida que tenían, aunque esa persona me pidió algo diferente. Como éramos una gran fiesta, nuestra factura se acercó a £ 800 con más de £ 82 de cargo por servicio. La camarera (señora mayor) nos pidió descaradamente que añadiéramos más propina además del cargo de servicio de £ 82. La comida en el restaurante La Figa es poco inspiradora, horrible y enfermó a algunos de nuestra fiesta. Entonces, cena aquí bajo tu propio riesgo pero no volveremos.

Ristorante con cucina italiana...abbiamo preso bruschette con verdure molto buone sia le verdure che il prosciutto...... tagliata con verdure direi ottima ....buona scelta di vini, pollo alla figa.... non male.... do 4 stelle perché il locale è un po triste... l'apparecchiatura al tavolo minimale, nemmeno una tovaglietta...personale cordiale...

We had dinner here on Saturday August 17. The weather was nice and we were able to sit on the terrace. Helped neatly and quickly and questions were answered clearly, with some humor which gave a more personal feeling. As a starter we had a garlic pizza and bruschetta to share. Main courses were spaghetti, pizza calzone and a pizza with salami. Although we were satisfied, we couldn't resist tiramisu and crème brûlée. Delicious food, and definitely recommended to go to when you are in the area.

We used to come here a lot when we lived at Limehouse. Haven't been for 10 or so years, as we now live in Australia, but it was still fantastic. The Bruschetta is amazing. The menu is so vast it's really hard to decide what to order when you know it's all going to be so tasty.

Amazing food! We’ve came to this restaurant 3rd time now and every food that we’ve tried was super good! Steak normally elsewhere if it’s well done is dry, this was so soft and juicy! Staff is very friendly and professional. 5⭐️ place!!!

Probably one of the best Italian places in London. Portions will never leave you hungry, food is more than delicious and the service is great. Been there a couple of times, and will come back many more.

As always, fantastic local pizza priced reasonably. The team at La Figa is always very welcoming, especially Angelo and Zehra who have big hearts and make sure you are well looked after. The place has a classic retro feel and a great bar as well.

First time back in many years, food was ok but it really needs a revamp

Good Italian restaurant in Limehouse, 50m from the Thames. Good and excellent food, perhaps something hidden from the path of tourism. Highly recommended, and relatively inexpensive.

I had the most delightful experience at this authentic Italian pizzeria in London. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by our server,, whose genuine Italian hospitality made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and reminiscent of a traditional Italian trattoria. The pizza was absolutely incrediblec, thin crust with the perfect balance of toppings. We tried the Margherita and la reine, both of which were bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. I recommend the raviolis too. The service was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and provided great recommendations on both the menu. Her passion for the food and culture added a special touch to our meal. Overall, this pizzeria offers a true taste of Italy in the heart of London. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience!

Terrible service and missing item

Unreal! Absolutely horrendous! Never tasted food like it! In my 37 years of living, I can’t express how bad this was! I have never in my life complained if food wasn’t nice or not to my taste and just paid the bill knowing not to return, but I had to express this here. When I did at each course, I was then spoken about amongst the servers 3/4 times overly loud. They didn’t even have the courtesy to hide the fact that they were talking about table 3 and that they don’t like this or that. GOBSMACKED! One server said “ this isn’t LA it’s the UK” I am from east London and I told her as such! We have a home it Italy and we know real Italian food! I’m guessing the reason they aren’t in their home town cooking their Italian food is because they would have been disowned. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Funnily enough they only charged us for wine and gave us free shots!

Whenever I'm in the area, La Figa is my go to restaurant. Never had a bad meal here and in fact the quality, flavours and variety are all excellent. Genuine Italian family run, this is a place not to be missed.

Nice location, good food and good service

Soooo disappointing. The service was good …attentive and friendly. The food was awful. Our starter to share was fried calamari which was tasty but obviously not fresh - frozen/microwave? Our mains were large portions and the salad and veg were fresh and tasty but the lobster was initially the wrong dish as it came with spaghetti which wasn’t the correct order. They replaced it with the correct lobster dish but the lobster was tough and unpleasant and the prawns were drowned in garlic butter. The monkfish dish was overcooked and drowned in a tomato sauce. They offered us a free shot which was nice of them but the quality of the food was not value for money in any way!!!! I certainly wouldn’t return.

This is a lovely place. I'm so pleased we found it. We'd had a really nice walk along the Thames and fancied stopping for something and this wonderful establishment appeared. It's worth seeking out, pizzas were absolutely authentic of an Italian restaurant. Staff very kind, beer very cold.

My favourite local spot for pizza! Pizza comes in a large size but never disappoints. Tiramisu is also great - almost like a little trip to Italy

Amazing lasagna, we were a party of 8 and all of us were happy with our food. The beer glasses are chilled which is great and they don’t save on the parmesan cheese which is also great.

We came here for a late dinner after a long day of being typical London tourists and what a wonderful way to cap off our day. My wife got the pasta bolognese. It was expertly cooked with rich, savory flavors, easily the best bolognese we’ve encountered in our travels. I ordered the gnocchi alla sorentina and I was not disappointed. It was perfectly cooked and well worth savoring. For dessert, we got the tiramisu because of course we did. It was perfect. The service was excellent. As touring Americans we are largely clueless about how things work; the staff were gracious and kind without being obsequious. We were not rushed in any way during our dining experience; the staff clearly wanted us to savor and enjoy the food. I would 100% recommend this restaurant, and if we were ever to find ourselves in the vicinity again, I would definitely go back. If you want a delicious Italian meal in the Limehouse area, look no further.

Last visited La Figa in December 2019 and gave it a five star review. Unfortunately I did not find it as good this time. The ravioli was very bland with no flavour at all. The wine list is small and very expensive for what it is. The service was good. It has the elements of a good neighbourhood restaurant but only if the prices are bit lower.

How on Earth these people were allowed a name like that I will never know….🤮

We have been to this restaurant a few times over the last 15 years as our friends lived nearby. Now our daughter lives in Limehouse, so for her birthday dinner, she booked this restaurant. We were booked early - 7pm & arrived on time. We asked for a table near the window which initially seemed an issue as they had only opened some tables. However we insisted & we were sat at a window table - what restaurant doesn’t want a window front with diners, subliminally encouraging others in as it looks popular? The service was quick & drinks arrived quickly. Our daughter enjoyed a strawberry daiquiri & the house white was good. For starter we chose to share a bruschetta with tomatoes & Parma ham- enough for 3. We were all happy with our mains. I chose the seafood linguine and there was an abundance of seafood & the portion was generous. Would we come here again - yes we would.

An absolutely incredible Italian restaurant. A huge selection of amazing food, great service and a nice vibe. It’s a bit of a secret. The decor is quite “modern Italian” but don’t let that put you off, this is one of the best restaurants in London. I have been here multiple times and each time tried something else that is fantastic. The courgette soup, sadly not often on the menu, is truly sensational.

Chanced our arm in here the night before the London Marathon. They were fully booked but said we could eat at the bar. Ordered a Margherita pizza. It was absolutely lovely. Friendly staff, amazing pizza and very well priced. Definitely going back next time I am down this way

La Figa is our favourite Italian restaurant in this area. The food is great no matter what you like. Pasta, Pizza, seafood everything is delicious. Service is always brilliant. The fact that you always see the same staff there gives you the impression that people like to work there. And the fact that we always come back tells you that they must do things right.
