Vegan Sting in Trafford

What an amazing place to have right next to Old Trafford , had an amazing mixed vegan kebab box it was all piping hot and the box was like a treasure trove of flavours. Deffo hit the spot.

Genuinely the best vegan takeaway in Manchester. I’ve been ordering from here for ages now and they always serve up a great feast. If you’re vegan and haven’t tried this place, you’re seriously missing out. But you don’t have to be vegan to love it. My wife, who’s Italian ancestors would spirali in their graves if she ever went vegan, absolutely loves it too!

Perfect pre match meal before watching the football. Conveniently located family business to cater for the vegetarian/vegan diet. Good size portion, plenty of flavour and freshly prepared.

Been to a number of vegan/vegetarian places. This one is amazing food is absolutely delicious. Staff are incredibly friendly. Ordered the salt and pepper box. Tasted amazing can't wait to try more on the menu.

Absolutely amazing!!! Quite literally one of the most freshest and tastiest takeaways I have ever had. Highly recommend to anyone - not just vegans. You can’t tell the difference between meat and these vegan versions. I had the tandoori chicken box and it was very nicely packed to the top. Aloo tikki’s were perfect and the “chicken” was so soft and tasty.

I love this place - it is so convenient to have a vegan takeaway in the area. It was really sad when they were briefly closed. I hope they are doing well again now, as they really deserve it. Great food, fast and friendly service - can't want anything more from a takeaway

Probably my favourite place to eat in Manchester. Always make sure I make a detour to try something new as everything I’ve tried has been really good. Brilliant portion sizes which justify the price but even if the portion sizes were smaller, it’s still really well priced for a small business who are undoubtedly feeling the increased cost of remaining open. I’ve only ever been served by the same fella who I’m guessing is the owner and he is very friendly and honest. A few times when me and my partner have been unsure whether to get that extra side and we’ve been made well aware that what we’ve ordered will probably be enough. The 3* for atmosphere doesn’t take anything away from Vegan Sting as it’s not the kind of place you’d go to socialise or hang out, just to get some tasty vegan food! Just wish it was closer to home.

Every year, I spent several days staying in the Hilton in Manchester for the cricket and despite the hotel being four-starred, the food at Vegan Sting is tastier, fresher and healthier. I look forward as much to eating here as I do the actual reason for my visit - cricket. Well worth seeking out regardless of whereabouts in Manchester you may be based. Ordering online couldn't be easier too - I order from the hotel and it's ready by the time I get there - about 15 minutes. Would be worth the wait if it took twice as long.

The food was fresh, and serve quickly but.... vegan food is tasteless, the fries were made with old cooking oil, and honestly, their taste was like in an old cheap American road bar. needs much more improvement!

Absolutely amazing food, fast and very friendly service. We asked for suggestions and the chef was very helpful to make sure we got to try all the different dishes. Will definitely be back when we are in Manchester again. Best salt and pepper “chicken” EVER 🤤🤤

This is now my only go to place for food before a United match. All the other services nearby do not compare to the quality of food here. And the staff are brilliant and very accommodating! Definitely recommend

Such a great find in meat-heavy England. After way too many days of fish and chips, having vegan sandwiches like their “chicken” sandwich was a nice change. The Buffalo version is spicy, but tastes great - and the Buffalo sauce is fairly authentic (I’ve eaten in Buffalo, New York, USA). The garlic mayo is a nice touch on the other sandwiches. The purveyor of the establishment is super nice and we enjoyed our visit to this small establishment. Just steps away from Old Trafford - either the cricket version or the Manchester United version.

An absolute vegan hidden gem right round the corner from Man United's ground. Could kick myself that I've only just discovered it for my pre-match snack. The menu has varied, Asian based options, and have so far tried four different meals, all of which are tasty, filling and excellent value for money. They even prepared gravy and chips for one pre-evening match which hit the spot and filled an after-work gap! Took my (non vegan) daughter today pre-match - she says they were the best chips and gravy she's ever tasted, can't wait to come again! Thank you Vegan Sting, the food is amazing and I hope you stay open for a long, long time. There are not enough quality vegan eateries like yours.

Very disappointed of the food quality, I ordered loaded fries and chicken burger honestly i have no clue how could they sell this as loaded fries because it was no where near loaded fries . The burger was so dry you would actually struggle to swallow it I would definitely not recommend it the food isnt how they trying to show you in the pictures. Definitely avoid it

Popped in here after a match at OT and was amazed and how delicious the food was. Im a meat eater but dont mind having Vegan food. Recommend both vegan and meat eaters to visit here. Had the lamb tikka loaded fries and they were amazing. A friend had the vegan burger and said it was the best vegan burger he had ever had. Keep up the amazing work, the food is outstanding!

I visited this restaurant just before going to watch a football game at Old Trafford. I thought that it made a pleasant difference from the usual burger, hot dog and kebab vans en route to the stadium. I am not a vegan, but I do enjoy trying meat alternatives wherever possible. I ordered the chicken tandoori and lamb tikka loaded fries and they were delicious. They were vibrant and packed full of flavour - I would go as far as saying I would absolutely choose this over eating actual meat. My partner generally does not enjoy meat alternatives but even he was won over by this place and said that he would like to go there again. At the end of the meal, I attempted to get the attention of one of the members of staff in order to tell them how delicious the meal was, however, I was unable to as the place was so busy with happy customers. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place, regardless of whether you eat meat.

Honestly the food is amazing. I don’t usually write reviews. But the food genuinely so tasty. They know what they’re doing when it comes to flavours. Only issue is it’s a little bit expensive, 50p for a dip which is relatively small is a bit steep. Never the less I didn’t feel robbed as its an amazing treat. I’d even say it tastes better than most takeaways with meat options.

Delicious food! The Christmas burger and chicken tikka wrap were both brilliant - the wrap was so fluffy! My partner who isn't vegan especially enjoyed the chicken tikka and we're both looking forward to going back again

Wow! Super impressed at the range of vegan options available here, was poring over the menu struggling to choose! Went for the mixed kebab box in the end - loved the variety, very tasty and perfect level of spice for me. The person I was with went for the tandoori loaded chips and salt & pepper chik'n bites. We were both full to the brim and in vegan fast food heaven after. Ordering was easy enough, placed an order on the website and got a text with a 20 minute collection time - on a Saturday night too. Pretty pleased. Would recommend, would order again.

I’m not even joking when I say this was genuinely the best food I’ve ever had in all my years. Ever since the first bite I dream about it day and night. I tragically live over 100 miles away but I’d consider sending them a months rent just to deliver a mere morsel. I wish I could buy a lifetime supply. I would travel there again just for a slither of this deliciousness. I’m getting upset just thinking about the fact I can’t shovel it down my throat in this moment. Until we meet again. 😢

I love this place! I was visiting Manchester a few weeks ago and ate here two days in a row. Now, weeks later, I think about the food on a daily basis! The mixed Kebab wrap is unbelievable. Go here!

Food really good love the vegan lamb. Interior has nice touches but it's cold and quiet with no music. Not really cosy.

Having just moved to the area I was pleased to find a Vegan takeaway option so close by. There was a small hiccup with our order but this was rectified quickly and professionally. Delivery was fast and food was exceptional. Thanks again :)

Visited today: The kebab section is amazing, the flat bread is very special. Fries were special, tasted very different and well seasoned. My boyfriend who isn’t vegan said if I hadn’t told him it was mock he wouldn’t wouldn’t have known! Everything tasted fresh, yummy and tasty. Incredibly fast service with phone order. Lovely staff. So happy places like this exist! Will definitely be coming back again!

Second time eating here... Amazingly Good !!! Had a kebab mixed box last time I came and today I had the mixed kebab in a tortilla wrap and chips and a brownie !! I was so Full and my Taste Buds Were Dancing The Rumba !!! LoI !! Soooo .. Yummy !!! All of it !!! Oh, I forgot, the chilli sauce was really good to !! Absolutely unreal vegan chicken. Owners are the most lovely and helpful people ever. Even meat eaters were saying how gorgeous the soy protein chicken is. Cannot recommend enough, an absolute must for veggies and vegans.

Really tasty food, mixed kebab was delicious. Boxes really nice. If I had to be picky I’d say they could chuck a few more chips in, but everything is great, my kebab itch has been scratched.

i dont think you guys are ready for this review. I came in with my friend and we both got ice cream ( oreo and plain vanilla) and when I told you that was the best thing I ever had IN MY LIFE, I'm not even exaggerating I kid you not we had to clap it was that good, I nearly shed a tear, great vibes great staff, I wish theres a 1kg tub version of the ice cream lol. great place 100% reccomend it.

I’ve tried most if not all the vegan gaffs in Manchester. Nothing comes close to vegan sting. Best by a country mile.

Had the cheese burger and fries which was nice. It was clean and tidy. The chap on the counter was patient with me as I didn't know what to choose and very friendly.

Went here before a match at Old Trafford. Despite how busy it was because of the football match, the service was excellent with the staff coping really well under pressure. Food was great; I had the Mixed Kebab Box with salad. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Old Trafford or the surrounding area.

Went here before a match at Old Trafford. As an away fan who had never been to Old Trafford before, I had no plan and wasn't sure what to expect in terms of food offerings around the ground. I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan establishment among the mix of food vans and restaurants. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the "chicken" burger and my partner had the "cheese burger", and we got some Cajun chips to share. The burgers were so filling though that we didn't need the chips. Great price for all of this as well. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be returning here.

I don't know how this place has so many good reviews - we put ours in the bin. Day old stale chips and bits of plastic wrappers found throughout the kebab box. The lamb tikka is foul - absolutely disgusting and tasted like it had plastic melted through it (which it might have done given how much random bits of plastic we found in the box itself) I've been Vegan Stinged out of £35. 0/10, never again.

The food from here is so delicious, you really don’t need to be vegan to order from here. The food is so fresh and tasty and the service brilliant. We were super surprised how good it all was. We had the buffalo not dog, satay chicken skewers, tandoori chicken and salt and pepper chips, every item was delicious!

Tried the 'chicken and lamb' kebab. It was fantastic. Also tried the satay 'chicken' skewers and they were also amazing. This takeaway is a great new addition to the area. Well done.

Not sure what witchcraft they used to create what I have just eaten but it was absolutely outstanding. First time we have tried it and it most definitely will not be the last.
