Rasassi Restaurant in Trafford

The food at Rasassi is amazing. All of their curries are fresh and the meat is succulent, also going very well with not only the thick, garlicky naan bread, but also rice. Their poppadom is crispy and offer plenty of it. Overall, m my meal here was as good as any five star restaurant

Excellent food , shame they had run out of onion bhajis though!

So the food cost was £20 so you should expect high quality. But the gobi Manchurian was on the sweeter side and the sauce colour was all wrong and the gobi should be more al dente texture and the flavour is nothing compared to the original so disappointing. The paneer shashlik was ok but flavour could be better and too little paneer although the texture was good. Overall poor value for £20 so keep in mind. A good restaurant should deliver great take away food but this one didn’t deliver. India food in Manchester is difficult to find and this reflects poorly on the chef. You will need to improve a lot if I was to order again. Quality and value are so important.

I'm allergic to chilli. My husband loves curries. His treat to I took him to Rasassi. The chef tonight cooked a prawn Korma especially for me. Delicious! No chilli in sight (or taste). Thank you Rasassi!

We went for a family dinner ( 2 adults + 2 childen). We had 2 starters, 3 mains and 3 sides. Everything was tasty, not too spicy. The tadka daal was not to my liking, needed more garlic and salt. All in all, it was worth the money for what we ordered. Staff is attentive.

Food was delicious. Found it a bit odd that they didn't bring both starters out together, but it was worth the shot delay. Sat too close to the door and was getting the draught when the food deliveries were being collected. We were not rushed and felt comfortable.

I had ordered a takeaway. But the order got cancelled due to a technical issue with the foodhub website . The guy said its happening regularly. So i had to order again face to face. Nevertheless the food was tasteless and not at all worth it. So sorry but will not go through the pain again. 😕😕😕👎👎👎

Stylish Indian restaurant. Delicious Shahi paneer with a rich sauce served with mushroom rice and the most delicious tadka dal spiced with cardamom and cumin creating a smoky twist that tantalises the taste buds… exquisite. Great service too and a fresh upmarket setting. Highly recommended.

We visited this evening and have been taken back by how fabulous the staff have been! They have gone above and beyond with everything and couldn't have asked for more. We had two young children with us and they made them so welcome and made it easy to enjoy it. To add to this the food was absolutely incredible between the table we all had a variety of meals and each one was amazing. Highly recommend this place! Thank you

With an abundance of Indian restaurants, this is my favourite. Real food with quality ingredients, love the Beli Rahm, fish curry, lamb dishes. Exceptional service, family feel and good for couples and groups. Always a welcoming atmosphere!

This is my local and most favourite go to for authentic and beautifully prepared Indian cuisine . Rassasi has been our place to bring family and friends and the standard of food and service is always second to none ! My favourite dish here has to be the Kozi Chettinad and the Jhinga Tamatar never mind 3 chilli’s / it’s 5 stars on every count for me !

As visitors to the area we didn’t know what to expect but it was very very good! Friendly staff, great menu including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options along with regular dishes too. We couldn’t have chosen anywhere better. The food was nicely presented and tasted amazing, the restaurant was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We have been going to this restaurant on and off for about 10 years. The current management and team that has now been established for the last few years are one of the best. Food is exceptional - different items than the norm on the menu and so tasty. All the staff are just really nice people who make you feel very welcome and provide a 'top notch' service. I ran the Manchester Marathon on April 14th and we had a friends and family dinner in the downstairs room that you can book. It was amazing - such a lovely space, a table setup for 15 where you could all talk with each other and food served in a relaxed and brilliant way. Thank you so much for making my first marathon celebration one to remember. For anyone who has not tried this restaurant please do you will not regret.

Located in central Altrincham, enjoying a meal with friends, service was very efficient & friendly. Quality food, very good atmosphere & music. I loved the Kadai Gosht, excellent spice and taste. The Lamb Biryani was moist and the lamb very tender. The menu offers some very different options from your normal "same old" High Street Indian restaurants, makes you read the menu carefully. Overall a really good restaurant to enjoy a very good Indian meal at a reasonable price. Happy to recommend.

This spot is great for family dinner. Great playlist, friendly staff and very tasty and authentic Indian food. I especially loved the dish Chicken Lababdar and Sizzling Soya Tika. Highly recommended!

Amazed at all the good reviews. Firstly the dips were terrible. One dip tasted of only mint and another one was simply what looked like chickpeas. How do you call that a dip? No sauce? The other was mango chutney but only just edible. Very few dairy free options and my partner has to be dairy free. Their version of a chicken madras tasted of chicken but no onions were visible and no tomato flavour. We ate the food because we had waited over an hour for the mains but would not return. Worst Indian food I have ever tasted in a restaurant

Food and service is great. Never did this review thing but just wanted to share. But discrimination they showed in the restaurant is not so healthy. Just my experience to share there are 4 occupied tables in the restaurant of which 3 of them are British citizens and us. Manager / owner someone who is the restaurant at that moment He greeted all 3 three tables with a great smile. Just ignored our table like we are not existed. Very bad experience. But the girl who served us is very welcoming and helpful. Food is great but not going back. I know that my review is not so helpful but wrote is out of my self respect.

The most positive word I could use to describe staff here is "horrendous" Other words could include evil, liars, unscrupulous, deceitful, avoidant, incompetent, and plain inept. Abdullah should particularly be commended for epitomising these words. Abysmal food and service, but why even think about eating at a place that's consumed with people like this. Horrible horrible place.

Very flavoursome! I've visited 4 times now and each time has been excellent service, always the same quality of delicious food and a really good variety of veggie food at a really good value, the red wine we had was also really nice (parrotfish I think it's called). We used to travel to curry mile but now we've found Rassissi, we'll continue coming here :-) we'd highly recommend!

Lovely little restaurant, authentic cuisine cooked freshly at a great price. Perfect for couple and small gatherings. Ambient lighting but you can still see what you're eating. Great service, efficient and unobtrusive staff. Glad we found it, we will be back. Thanks

Popped in for a takeaway for the first time as we had been meaning to try the restaurant but it was a bit early so collected a takeaway to take home (we live in Cheshire down the road but had been in Altrincham). We were not disappointed! Excellent service and the fresh food was ready in under 20 mins whilst I sat and waited. Had the Bombay potato side, lamb saag and chicken karahi (not on the menu but the chef happily made this for me!) the tandoori roti are great and not too thick. We would most certainly get another takeaway from here. We would love to eat on the restaurant but with a child who doesn’t (yet) like spicy food we may have to stick to takeaway for now which is completely fine given the standard of food and clearly quality spices which provided the beautiful flavours of the dishes. Plus there is a 10% discount on takeaway orders too! Very happy!

We had take away from here and it was absolutely delicious! This was despite placing an order through ubereats that the driver collected AND THEN CANCELLED!! Unfortunately the restaurant are left out of pocket but they went above and beyond to produce another order for us immediately (which we collected!). The staff were so accommodating and kind and if we could give them 6 stars we would! We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for food and service!

First time to visit rasassi, for my birthday. The food was fantastic and the staff from the waitress and waiter, and all the way up to the manager who went out of his way to ensure we made right food choices for our younger child and the whole party. Food on time, great tastes and given a free treat at end. The drinks kept coming but they were not pushing them which is alway nice. Well worth a visit. Not too busy probably due to cost of living crisis, and so lots of lovely staff to look after other and other party in at the time.

Absolutely magnificent restaurant 10/10, even on New Year's Eve when it was busy, the service was attentive and the food top notch too. Well done! X

Came here for dinner, lamb biryani had lots of meat and was a good portion for 2. My favourite dish was the mehti chicken which had very tender chunks of meat. Attentive staff and fast service

We went to Rasassi on Christmas Day. The restaurant was really welcoming and warm. The staff were very attentive and efficient. Every mouthful of the food was delicious. We went last Christmas and will definitely be going again next year.

We headed to Rasassi for Christmas Day and it was fantastic, standard menu with a few special additions. 6 adults and 2 kids and the staff and food were outstanding. We will certainly be back. The Beli Lamb was delicious!

We found ourselves needing a large space for a family get together a week before Christmas and were very lucky to find this restaurant. The manager took care of all 18 of our families needs in a professional and friendly manner. The food, modern Indian was delicious and plentiful. We couldn't have asked for more and would definatly recommend this restauraunt.

Very welcoming staff and great draught beers. However the menu was lacking a variety of meat dishes. I think if you are vegetarian this place would be fantastic. However given that we wanted chicken, lamb or King Prawn the choice was limited. Saying that what we did eventually order was tasty. Just not the best place for us

Our second visit to this lovely restaurant. We are not local and stumbled on it accidently. The food is delicious and fresh. We don't recognise the names of the dishes as different from the usual Indian but the staff are happy to explain and advise. Happily working our way through the menu. The staff are just lovely😁 We will be back 🙃

The standard and quality of the food is always amazing and never fails to disappoint. Love the extensive vegetarian options. It's a firm favourite with one of our party as they are able to reduce the spice levels to suit her taste perfectly. We will be back again and again......

Absolutely terrible food and specifically quantity. Ordered via Uber eats and had a lamb biriyani amongst other things. No separate sauce. Two piece of lamb, £15. Naan bread undercooked. The rest was just very poor and tiny portions of meat. Uber apparently don't offer refunds even though I took a photo of the rice container (biriyani) before even eating it. Rip off. Ate here in person when it opened and it was relatively decent, but clearly just ripping people off now. Avoid

First time using this restaurant as a takeaway, usually use DT further down the road but changed after disappointments.Only gripe was the temperature of the food otherwise delicious curry and starters , all of our party very happy with the taste of the food and the quality . Being at home meant we could utilise the microwave for added heat but will definitely be back as we needed a new takeaway for our Saturday night curry.

Without a single doubt best place to have a proper Indian food. Super friendly staff and seriously amazing food.

The curries were simply outstanding and authentic. We usually order chicken chettinadu, chicken lababdar and paneer and can vouch for the consistency in quality and taste delivered by the chef👍

Went for a meal with friends. Staff very attentive and friendly. Ordered fish starter and lamb biriyani. Both delicious and the lamb was so tender. Had a mojito which was delicious too. Did not have a desert as was so full. Would definitely recommend and...

Sadly the onion bhaji starter was dry, tough and tasteless. The main course, Kozi chettinad, which is chicken, was not cooked. Typically I only found out at the end of the meal as initially the sauce hid the raw taste. When the waiter collected the plates I just pointed it out. I didn't make a fuss as I had eaten the majority. He just smiled and walked off. Nothing said, no apology or anything. Front of house staff were friendly. Sadly I would not recommend or return.

One of our favourite Indians! Every dish we've tried has been really delicious!! Been a couple of times already and will definitely be returning. There were a few of us with different dietary requirements, staff were very helpful and accommodating and gave some good menu recommendations!

Another excellent meal, great service and friendly happy staff. The food is delicious and well presented. The owner is always very friendly and chatty, he was telling us about his new plans for the restaurant. We look forward to returning very soon.
