Ordered two meals from this restaurant. One vegetarian as my partner does not eat meat. The veg meal came with chicken. Called the restaurant and explained and wanted a fresh order as the rice, naan bread etc will cold. They agreed and said to collect in 30 mins. Got a call back 10 mins later from the chef whom was very rude and insisted that only the wrong dish will be replaced. By this time now all the food is cold. We had a back and forth and he advised he is sorry to have a customer like me. Would refrain from here and would not order again. Have contact delivero over this to get a full refund which has been provided.

Some good dishes - the biriani especially. Great service and good atmosphere. We will return.

Sorry, I have never had a problem here before, always excellent. Ordered a takeout last Saturday. Chicken jalfrezi, prawn Rogan Josh and a veggie curry. All three were loaded with salt and we were all unable to eat. Very disappointing.

Ordered a takeaway for collection online, taking advantage of a special offer on a Saturday evening. Amazing aroma on walking in, lovely conversation with the staff. Food ready before the estimated time, and it was bloody delicious. First time using Jajoo, but it won't be the last.

Ate here last night and was really impressed. Food was delicious, the drinks list was surprisingly excellent ( great draught beer and gin selection) and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely come back here again.

We really liked the food and gin, all tasted great. We were served quickly by friendly staff when we first arrived but as time went on and the restaurant filled up we heard a few complaints (food too cold, long wait for food) which we shouldn’t have really heard but were said by waiting staff to the kitchen across the restaurant. It then took 15-20 mins from getting the bill to pay.

Just had a valentine meal with my husband. Wasn’t busy. We’re sat at the coldest worse table, however people arriving after us were given table options. Ordered starters and main. They forgot the starters and just brought main. Asked why we hadn’t received our starters (kitchen error not the waitress). They missed it, was offered to return food and start again. I express that we didn’t want the curries reheated. She assured me they wouldn’t be, then did a quick turn around and said it’s best we have them and starter come after as she could not guarantee they would not be microwaved. So we carried on. Starters arrive one was still frozen so asked for it to be taken away and removed from the bill. Just as well because the kitchen did not want to replace. Finally settled our bill and went to leave , only to be stopped to confirm we had paid the bill. No apology, no discount just complete rudeness. Never would I recommend to anyone. I must make it clear this was not in any way the fault of the waitress. She was let down by the back staff. Throughout our meal all we could hear was the microwave pinging. The kitchen obviously can’t cope. It was an early meal and not at all busy.

We decided to come here last minute and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent and the food was impeccable. A super different menu with something for everyone. A huge range of gins also if that’s your thing!

Very tasty food. Daal and Biryani were very delicious. Ambiance is not like expensive restaurants in Hale Village but the food is much nicer and cheaper.

Delicious!! Our first time in Jajoo and we loved it. The menu is interesting and unusual. We took a while to choose between all the delicious sounding dishes! We decided on Chicken Tikka TukTuk Tacos to share between us, then we had a chicken and a lamb curry with pilau rice and garlic naan. This was honestly the best Indian curry I have ever had! We will definitely be back. The restaurant was quiet until 7.30pm but once it filled up, the atmosphere was fab too. Thank you to the chefs!

We just been to Jajoo hale. Staff is not even paid min wage. The food quality and quantity was a disgrace. No drinks stock of any kind. After looking into it, we found its Dr. shubhas jajoo is the owner. I remember this name from a place he owned in Disbury and wasn't paying his staff and messing them around. They had to result on Facebook to get their money back. Furthermore, he doesn't even pay business rates for his business and has more than average business rate dues This guy should be banned from business Two or more staff illegal and bieing expoited. So called chef been working and as he doesn't want to go back india exploited. 5 years master student now working above and beyond. Visited Jajoo on Saturday evening ,there was a table of 6 of us . The food was absolutely amazing , we all had starters , mains & sides . The lamb curry was something else , a lamb shank perfectly cooked in a fantastically flavoured curry sauce. Fab night had by all , would highly recommend and will definitely be returning .

Good place for a nice meal. The only downside is that they close by 9.30pm. Food is of good quality and freshly made. Been here few times and the food was good always.

We all love a good curry. No matter if it’s a takeaway or eat in. I know if I am eating in then I will pay a bit more. The question always to be asked “is it worth the extra”? I must say this place delivers great quality and I was very happy to pay a bit more to get a marvellous eating experience. Every dish was gourmet standard. Please eat here if you haven’t so far. It is quite simply the best in Hale. I know you will be very happy with the delicious food and 1st rate service.

This Indian restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Hale. The food is superior to any of the other Indians here that we have tried. The dishes are authentic Indian street food rather than a westernised version. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The ambience and decoration is beautiful. Every dish we have tried was just perfect and delicious. This is real Indian food. Do yourself a favour and come here for an amazing culinary experience.

We have eaten here many times now and always enjoyed the food. We ordered some lamb, chicken and naan bread with some rice. We also got a couple of the cocktails which were lovely as well. Great restaurant for some delicious Indian food.

The amazing food served in this delightful little restaurant transported us to back to our youth and the streets of Calcutta. The flavours of the Pani Puri and the succulent Hyderabad Chicken Biriyani were perfect and the meat in the Lamb Ragda was plentiful and tender. We finished with a delicate Pistachio Kulfi (ice cream) and smooth sweet Gulum Jab. If you are looking for authentic Indian food in Hale in very pleasant surroundings with excellent service this place is a hands down winner. Enjoy.

I booked a table for two to celebrate our anniversary. I selected this restaurant on the basis of the reviews I have read. I was expecting delicious starters and entrees however I left feeling disappointed. I had the chili chicken as a starter. The sauce was very nice and plenty of heat was experienced, just as I like it. The issue was that the chicken had clearly been cooked twice. It was explained to me that they cook the chicken in the tandoor, then batter and fry it before adding the sauce. The issue was that it was over cooked and being frank, the flavor made me wonder if it was today's cooked chicken or yesterday's. When chicken is re-heated or cooked twice it has that definite odd flavor and this is what this dish will stick in my mind for. Why not just batter and fry some chicken that has been marinated? My partner had the Tuk Tukk tacos (chicken tikka). She could only eat half of one of them as the chili was too strong and for her made them unedible. My main was the King Prawn Curry. I am just confused with this dish. The king prawns looked incredible, huge and plump but with absolutely zero flavor. I just do not get how such a tasty delicate protein could be chewy and tasteless. I love king prawns. My favorite dish is Nagga King Prawn curry extra hot so it wasn't that the curry flavor overpowered the prawns. It was as though they had been soaked in water for hours or days to make than fat then again overcooked to make them chewy, just horrible. The sauce was nice but ruined. My partner also had the Prawn Jojoo Momos, very nice indeed. However, we stated clearly that my partner is intolerant to cucumber, and mixed in the salad were strips of cucumber. The only real positive was the drinks. Very nice independent brewery IPAs and amazing cocktails. Overall, ruined my anniversary treat, not much of an apology from the manager, who indignantly took the Tacos off the bill. Why would a restaurant selling spicy food not indicate on the menu which dishes were Hot, medium, or Mild in terms of spice? Maybe why, this restaurant only served 3 tables during our 3-hour visit. Hale is normally a busy vibrant night out 7 days a week. Maybe I am not the only one who has been underwhelmed.

The cooking here is perfect. Proper marinated meat, proper spices, quality ingredients. Curries don’t get better than this

Very nice staff and good service, food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Relaxed piano and violin music is exactly the atmosphere I like, this was on a quiet Wednesday night so it might be different on a busier night of the week.

Went with a small family group. Firstly got the drink wrong. Lager shandy ordered (bog standard). Brother was looking puzzled sipping it. I had a sniff and said they've put lime cordial in there (and a lot). It tasted awful. We asked the waiter to change it for lager and lemonade and he really didn't seem to know what he was doing. Slight language difficulty also. Was given a lager and a little glass bottle of Schweppes lemonade. The other beer had lemonade put in but we had to ask for it stirred as lemonade sat on the bottom. Thankfully I had tap water! After all that, the beer wasnt even good and appeared to have been watered down. Didn't recognise the brand. The food was just OK. It wasn't great IMO but not greasy. which was a bonus. A mini bowl of Dorito shaped popadoms with TINY bowls of dips. My veggi Jalfrezi curry I believe, had mostly frozen veg. The king prawns were juicy but not prepared properly. They hadn't been deveined and slightly gristly. My sister said the lamb chops were very good. I tried a Seekh kebab. I found it a bit tough and slightly gristly and could have done with extra flavour. Finally we asked to take leftovers home. I opened it today. It was NOT our rice or nan bread!! Nan piece was half eaten. There was just a third of the rice we'd left uneaten. Oh - the toilets were pleasantly clean, as was the restaurant. Staff looked smart. Service was a bit slow despite fact hardly anyone else dining! I enjoyed the quiet. For such a highly rated restaurant in Hale village, sorry, but the experience we had was poor. Family should have listened to me and gone to the Massala Lounge in Sale! A little cheaper and so much better. Plus the beer is good in there!

First time I've been here although it's only been open a year so can't really give it my full review! I remember it when it was Danilo Italian restaurant, sadly no longer! Was renowned for being one for younger more adventurous diners wanting to take advantage of the more unruly access to illegal substances, this might just be a reputation rather than true reality. Our friend wanted an Indian curry after the Bowdonbury experience but we couldn't be bothered to walk any further to the Cinnamon or Syriana a little further along the route (wish we had though!) Wasn't a brilliant experience, we all felt we were in their way so we left quickly and giving it a poor review. I won't be going again. My other reviews of the Hale restaurants aren't much better, it's definitely going downhill whilst prices are going sky high!

Last week's dine in was a long overdue treat with friends. No trace of our confirmed online booking was a bad start. Drinks arrived reasonably quickly but no one wanted to take our order and the interminable wait continued. Friday night is takeaway night so...

I think this was the most authentic indian I've been in for a long time. The food was no7t your usual, there were dishes I'd never had before, and they were delicious, top job.

12 of us went for dinner Saturday night @ 7pm. The ground floor was mostly full. (Upstairs dining area was closed). I don’t know if they were a ‘man down’ that particular evening but the service was quite slow. Waiting staff were mostly nice and polite so only problem was there seemed to be not enough of them. But! The food was EXCELLENT very tasty and authentic tasting dishes. Highly recommended. I personally will eat here again and have added them to my takeaway portfolio! 🤤 Between us we had a large chunk of the menu and all dishes reported to be superb.

The best Indian street food I’ve ever had. Food was beautifully presented, imaginative and tasty. Service was very attentive. Only gripe was that it was a little cold in the restaurant, so take a jumper if it’s cold outside!! We will definitely be back.

Our expectations were low when we made a decision to dine at Jajoo, i must say it is one of the best restaurants in the area and it made it to my top 5 list of restaurants in Altrincham. Nice and cosy place and the food is excellent. The manager of the restaurant Madhu understood what exactly we are looking for and advised us the the dishes to choose, he gone an extra mile to customize the food to meet our expectations!

Popped in to use the bar as we were waiting for teens to finish a birthday meal across the road. There was nowhere open to grab a coffee at 6.30pm on a snowy December eve. Although we were not dining in we were welcomed as any guest and the service was excellent even if it was for only 2 coffees and a beer. We are looking forward to coming back for a meal soon. Over all really bad experience Giving 1 start as we had lamb chop for starter and it was really nice But that’s it We order lamb and chicken butter for main. Both were salted but lamb it was ridiculous salted, we couldn’t eat so kindly ask to waiter who said he needed to clean table next to us ,after that he took the dish to the kitchen, never apologize or anything .. after 10 min brought dish back and it was still very salted till the point we couldn’t eat. So we ended up leaving the food there Took them more then 30 min to come back and clean the table , not even one waiter asked if the dish was better or apologized. We mentioned about the dish still being too salted and the fact that we didn’t eat but again no apologies. They didn’t care at all They have charged us for the lamb dish even though we couldn’t eat due being ridiculous salted We have paid but never ever coming back to this place The whole experience wasn’t nice and service was absolutely chocking

Utterly disappointed!!! We had placed an order through deliveroo, where we asked for 1 chilli chicken and 1 chilli paneer, instead we got 2 chilli chicken. To our confusion, the box still had chilli paneer written on it, but had chilli chicken inside. Being a vegetarian, I would have eaten chicken if my friend would not have stopped me. When we informed the restaurant staff about the incorrect item, the staff started arguing and were extremely rude. It was very upsetting, never going to order from them again.

The samosa came in an unexpected format (shredded) - but I have it on good account that this is typical for the region (and if I had bothered to read the description) Garlic naan is the flat type - I prefer the thicker more succulent ones.
