Vauxhall Inn in Tonbridge and Malling

Very helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. One of the party is disabled. Unfortunately a couple of items not available on the menu but the food was very good.

Popped in for a catch up with my friend and a quiet pint. Greene King not usually my favourite cask ale but here the beer is usually good, the Abbot on this occasion being very sippy. But it was Evan who made the visit. Courteous and professional, he was busy with drinks orders from the restaurant but remembered our repeat order and apologised if he could not serve us right away. Thanks Evan.

Lovely, welcoming restaurant and staff, especially Joshua who demonstrated a friendly, professional approach throughout our visit - well, visits as we have recently moved back to Tonbridge and ended up visiting 3x in one week as various family members came to see our new home 🏡 Beautifully cooked meals everytime ☺️

Omg! How amazing is this little treasure of a pub! Went today with a friend and the manager was telling us about the new menu and how they have switched back to English countryside food! You have to try the new salmon Wellington off the specials menu It was honestly the yummiest thing ever! We will definitely be back, staff are friendly and happy, plenty of parking too just remember to register your vehicle when you arrive we nearly forgot but staff reminded us! Just brilliant!

Sunday Roast Lunch. Thought by booking sharp it would be crisp. Wrong. Soggy everything except Yorkshire's and Crackling. Had the trio, soft uncrispy roast potatoes, dripping wet veg, mushy chicken, damp pork, disappointing beef. And stop putting bloody sultanas in Sticky Toffee pudding. It's made of dates already you do not need to add sultanas, why do this? So so disappointing.

Four of us dropped in for a Monday lunch. There was enough choice for eveyone, each having a different meal and all agreeing that each meal looked good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and all plates were cleared. We each had a dessert, again, all different and each one looked great. We escpecially enjoyed the stickey toffee, apple cake and chocolate brownies. It's situated in a good location, just on the outskirts of town. Plenty of parking - you just need to enter your Reg on the way in. We will come here again in future.

I arrived at the Vauxhall inn to a good atmosphere as I approached the bar I was welcomed by Chris who settled me in for my first time at the Vauxhall and he was there for support anytime I needed it. 5 star customer service from him

Popped in for a quick drink. Great service and lovely decor. While enjoying my honeybee gin, I couldn't stop looking at the days specials board. Decided the wild boar scotch egg needed sampling. I wasn't disappointed. It was devine, and I highly recommend it 👌 We will definitely be returning to try some more dishes.

Booked Sunday lunch for six. Service very slow and inattentive until we complained about the food, then the manager worked hard to improve our mood. Food was very poor; roast meals cold when served, fish really overcooked, other dishes disappointing (apart from the burger) Give this place a miss!

Popped in for Sunday roast it was really tender and I loved the carrot and sweed mash it was right up my alley , my waitress was lovely and very helpful definitely can’t wait to come back for some more good food

Service was a little slow and they fine you £100 if you forget to register your car with their app (on a pub iPad) when parking in the pub car park. Having said that, the food was good, though unlikely to appeal to those looking for a wide range of healthy options. The coffee was ok.

I recently visited the Vauxhall Inn with some family for lunch. We were instantly met with a great atmosphere and friendly staff! The food was lovely and very reasonably priced! We will definitely be returning😁

Had a lovely steak dinner. Very quiet when we visited so found staff quite attentive and friendly. Used a voucher so good value too.

Sunday dinner. Disappointed that no roasts were available, additionally many items from desert menu not available. This is not the first time this has happened. Food which we had was okay.

We have been twice recently, once for breakfast and once for a late decision dinner with our grand-dog in tow. On both occasions we were greeted with enthusiasm and made to feel very welcome. The food was very good on both visits. Particularly the breakfast on the Saturday morning. Well done to the hardworking staff for making sure we were well catered for.

Hayley and her staff hosted a memorable and beautiful wedding breakfast for us on 21 August. The inn was beautifully decorated and the food and wine divine. The bespoke menu options were wide- ranging. Hayley was involved in the preparations throughout, making our special occasion run smoothly. I recommend Hayley and the Vauxhall Inn to anyone looking for that special venue.

Fantastic meal (loved the grazing board and Signiture Burger) attentive service from all staff especially Chris! who all work really hard.

Lovely pub, been staying at the premier inn for a month now so eaten and drank here at least 20 times, food is always lovely, best food ever had at a premier inn and I stay in premier inns all over the country, beer is kept great and plenty of choice, but quiet atmosphere but stay here through week and is a good place to chill after work, can't fault the staff either, landlady is a laugh aswell

Had drinks and food here on 2 evenings while staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. A good experience on both occasions. A special mention for Josh on the 21st August: a personable and very helpful member of staff.

I regularly visit this pub, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is good and the service and speed are spot on.

Made to wait for over 15mins to ask for a table for 2. Then to be told sorry no tables. But I said there,are plenty of tables I can see empty. She said sorry nothing for over an hour. It wasn't really the fact that there was no availability. It was the fact that we were just left standing at the door for so long waiting to ask. The girls just kept walking past us. Not so much as be with you in a minute or anything. It was like we were not there. I thought Monday night it won't be busy. Was not even offered alfresco dining, which we would not have minded.

We were staying at the premier inn next door and fancied some late lunch. We booked a table however when we turned up it may have been okay to not book as it was fairly quiet but it was midweek. Really enjoyed the cute interior and dried flowers. Staff were super friendly and very attentive, cannot fault the service. We both ordered burgers which were super yummy! One beef and one chicken. Would certainly eat here again if we stayed back at the premier inn.

Came across this beautiful pub , while we was visiting family , the food was absolutely delicious, and the service we received was brilliant, the young lad called Evan went out of his way to make sure we was looked after, serving drinks food etc, the atmosphere was so warming, will definitely be coming back again, and also informing my family to go here , to anyone passing give it a go great hospitality great pub 👍

Hayley and Josh, you were very communication friendly too and really open to learning Makaton signs when my sister and I taught you. Food good and plenty although ours arrived only just warmed waitress sorted without a problem. Bit of a long walk when you are disabled but if you use a wheelchair not too much of a problem.

Went here today at lunchtime with a few family members celebrating a baby shower. The food was amazing, waited no longer than 15 minutes the service was excellent, very friendly. We was even given a bottle of prosecco for after baby had arrived on the house. Very happy and would highly recommend. Will be going back!

Always welcomed, entire team are great, good food offering and a lovely and well maintained environment inside and out. Quite often pop in for lunch. Credit where credit's due - it's cracking!

The bacon on the smothered chicken was dry and burnt,and when this was.pointed out to the waitress she said is the rest of the dish ok and just about to said sorry.The salad garnish consisted of a few rocket leaves,and three slices of radish swimming French dressing. All this after choosing a meal that I was then told was unavailable.Surely ,this should have been pointed out when the menus were handed to me.Not a pleasant lunch time.experience for price you charge.

I was in town for a wedding and decided to go to the Vauxhall for a meal the day before. The food was excellent and the staff made it such a unique and lovely experience that I will come back to Tonbridge just for this place. The staff instantly made me feel like I had known them my entire life. Trust me when I say that these kinds of places and people are rare to come across in life. ❤️

Had a really lovely time at the vauxhall today,staff are very friendly and cheerful,very welcoming. Food was amazing,i had the turkey roast,good portion size,had cauliflower cheese with it,my partner had the trio of meats roast,he thoroughly enjoyed his. Our waitress was milly,she was so helpful,friendly,we finished off with the trio of puddings,oh my god amazing. We will definately be returning,well worth a visit,really nice place,friendly,good food and outdoor seating,well done to all the staff we had a fantastic time.

Breakfast average, sausages terrible. One member of staff doing everything, bless her. She was running around like a headless chicken but still doing a decent job.

This is really hard to review because the pub itself is great. BUT the carpark seems to be run by a scam company- we logged our vehicle 100% but still received a £100 fine. Appealed and won because it was a 'first offence' when there was no offence! Similar stories when I posted online, people who just paid because they were afraid or couldn't find a receipt. Shame, as we can't go back and risk a 'second offence.' Chef and Brewer need to sort this out!

A warm welcome from Mary and Ann, thank you. Service was prompt and cheerful and the food arrived quickly, was hot and tasty. We were just passing through and although the outside of the place looked a little tired, the service and food made it worthy of visiting again.

We had a lovely lunch today at the Vauxhall my husband had the smothered chicken and I had the pan fried salmon both meals were delicious with generous portions Mary-Ann and Josh are always so welcoming and cheerful and very professional. I would thoroughly recommend the Vauxhall it has a lovely atmosphere there is a good selection of drinks and the food is always first class and reasonably priced. Large carpark at the rear is ideal and the pub is dog friendly so a great place to meet up with friends.

Twenty three of us ate at The Vauxhall Inn for lunch today. Hayley had organised our booking and we were given a warm welcome. Millie, Mary-Ann and Josh were all brilliant and looked after us with efficiency and good humour. We very much enjoyed the food and the ambiance of The Vauxhall Inn and thank the staff for making it such a lovely occasion.

Can't speak for the food as we left before anyone had even greeted us. Stood at the bar where it said please wait here to be seated. We had a booking. Manager, bar person and waiter all saw us but just ignored us. No word of 'hi there, we'll be with you in a moment' or 'we're a little busy, won't keep you waiting too long'...literally ignored. Really poor first impression so we went along the road to a fab place in Tudely. Acknowledged and seated straight away.

Just got a £100 for parking in your car park. Your staff had every opportunity to let me know I needed to register my vehicle. I've never ever been to a restaurant inmy entire life that I needed to register my vehicle. Your staff should have advised me. I feel you have robbed me

We had two very good meals here last weekend while visiting family. Always a good choice on the menu, and reliable quality. It was very busy on Sunday lunchtime so the service was a little slow, but otherwise very good and the staff were helpful.

came in with my girlfriend and got a warm welcome as I was walking in. can't even describe how good the food was with out you trying it. the people were so happy and love to take to us. always made sure out food was alright and we had refreshments we're coming back next week 🙌

Fabulous foood the chefs done it to perfection. Everone waitress that served us was always had a smile and made us feel at home. Cant wait to come back with the family again. I would recommend to everyone to go there.

Popped into the Vauxhall for Sunday lunch, the sirloin of beef was so tender and the turkey was succulent. Very kind waitress called janine got us extra gravy in a big gravy boat as we like lashings of gravy. Staff friendly and polite nothing is too much we will definitely be back

Very dark and we were sat next to the toilet. Every time someone went in or out, we had a very unpleasant aroma. Will try it one more time and then give up

Easy to find just off A21 Met up with friends for Sunday lunch Turkey roast was great 2 big slices turkey plenty of veg and roast potatoes. Service was great, friendly and helpful Oldy worldy with beams decor which was great. Nice outdoor area for drinks in the sun premier inn behind if staying over. Will visit again

Food was nice. Pity about the car parking situation If you don't let the barstaff know your in the car park. A week or so later a parking fine arrives on your door step from britiana parking company £90 fine reduced to £60 if you pay it with 14days etc. No one in the pub asked if I was in the car park. Wont be going there again.

Stayed overnight at Premier Inn. Evening meal was really nice, service was okay and could see they were stretched but not a big deal. Breakfast however, felt really sorry for the young girl who was the only one on service so clearly a struggle, but to add to it, her supervisor “dresses her down” in front of a complaining couple and 2 other tables of customers - if you ever need to give feedback to a member of staff you do it away of view from customers. What was worse is that the customer was completely in the wrong, the young lady started clearing breakfast at about 9:10, 10 minutes after she was meant to be (and it says on the Premier Inn cards the times) and this idiotic couple complained they didn’t get chance to get any extras after getting all of their breakfast. Poor girl didn’t need that from her supervisor, the customer isn’t necessarily always right but at least give the staff member some grace away from the complainant/other customers.

Had an overnight stay at the Premier Inn next door so ate my evening meal here mid week. Lovely leek, cheesy pie with veg cooked perfectly. Ben was great, finding me an early table, running around after everyone, he's an asset to the restaurant and gives fantastic customer service.

Special mention to Hayley, who was very attentive and aware. Nothing was too much trouble and I noticed she constantly replenished all items at breakfast without having to be asked first. The staff do long days, Maryann said she’d worked a 13 hour day and all done with smiles from both. Great service.
