V-Shed in Bristol, City of

Came in here on Sunday evening after a 2 hour drive.. Only stayed for a pint each with the missus.. Can't really complain much.. Other than the table we sat at was not cleaned from previous customers.. Table wet and sticky.. And glasses and sauce bottles left from people sat there before.. Average Experience...

Nothing special just a plastic spoons so not much to see. Food was meh and drinks took a while but standard for spoons....

Not sure when "Spoons" turned into Gatwick. I had the same complaint when the Posset Cup opened in Portishead, a long line of single file customers stretched almost to the door. What's the point of having a "bar" when all you need is a serving hatch. Can I suggest that food orders are taken at one till and beer drinkers simply jostle for position like we have done for the last 700 years! I addition, the "guest" beers had a distinct Greene King leaning.

Great outdoor seating area that sheltered us from the rain. My panini order went awry but Solomon went over and above to sort it out. Thanks Solomon, you’re a star and a credit to Spoons!

Second time I've ordered the sirloin steak and both times bang on really enjoyed this one it was actually seasoned a lot better than last time ordered a side portion of 8 Whitby Scampi lovely meal.

The 5 stars are all for the staff we met today. We had food and drinks both pretty good for a wetherspoon's. But the staff today were all amazing. They were super kind to our kids, they brought food and drinks with smiles and cleaned up our mess when we accidentally spilled food.

We stayed the wknd at the hotel opposite, and visited here several times over the weekend. First visit was not so great, it was a quiet Friday afternoon, we sat outside and I ordered drinks on the app. 15 mins later they had not arrived so i went in, and saw the drinks I had ordered sat on the end of the bar, so assumed they were imminent and returned to the table. Nearly ten mins later again and still nothing, I went back inside they were still sat there, there was nobody queing at the bar and no staff to be seen, so i just took my drinks and walked out with them. The following morning we opted for breakfast here, it was very quiet, again we ordered food and drinks on the app, the drinks were nearly straight out, I went to get tea from the machine and by the time I was back the food was already on the table.. The breakfast was great value and very enjoyable.. We also called in for drinks & food on sat night after the football, the place (and most of the clientele) was in a bit of a state, but we found a table, again ordered on the app and both drinks and food came reasonably quickly, considering how busy they were. Was gonna go for 2 star after the Friday, but they redeemed themselves an extra star for the Saturday service..

I don’t know what I was expecting from a spoons but it was definitely better than what I had. Went for breakfast before attending a meeting, I am vegetarian who has a dairy allergy. I ordered a vegan breakfast with an extra egg to make sure there was no dairy butter for the toast. This is more expensive than just ordering a veggie breakfast. Of course it came out with dairy butter even though it was a vegan breakfast (this isn’t the first time a spoons has done this either). So I couldn’t eat the toast because the butter had melted on it. Please train your staff correctly on allergies in future!

two of my friends were at a table in this Spoons when I went to get a drink and two men came over to them and started to be extremely predatory. After throwing drinks over my two friends, my friends called over a woman working in Spoons on this night (27th Sunday August) and she and another male staff member walked them both out. This was quite soon after i returned and (being situated next to the window) we saw these two men being thrown to floor (as they were angry they were being thrown out🙄). I wish i could remember this woman’s name as she was invaluable to their safety. As we left we asked Sam (security on the door) to escort us to the bridge. He took a step further and walked us to the other side of the bridge which we are extremely grateful for. these two staff members in particular made my friends feel extra safe during the presence of these men and i could not be more grateful. thank you for taking security so seriously and i hope this standard, especially these particular staff members, are recognised for their attention to customer safety!

We visited for breakfast. It’s a ‘spoons, so we weren’t expecting fine dining but even the basics were wrong. Apart from some kids recreating the olympic 100m sprint there weren’t many people in. This didn’t prevent some very poor customer service. We ordered three meals with drinks (2 coffees and a Diet Coke) via the app. The food arrived fairly fast, but the breakfast was tepid. The pancakes looked like they had been microwaved from frozen as they were stuck together. The drinks were missing in action, and didn’t arrive until after we had finished the food - 18 minutes after the online order. Two were hot drinks, so were actually empty mugs requiring zero preparation. From the other reviews this seems to be an ongoing theme… we won’t come back.

Haven’t been out in Bristol for the better half of three years. Stopped at V Shed as arrived in Bristol too early for our booking elsewhere. Enjoyed it so much we came back. Great atmosphere, amazing pitchers and lovely staff (especially the three Charlottes) 8) highly recommend! Will be back!

Fed up with breakfast so waited until half past eleven ordered a classic Sirloin with a portion of coleslaw wow that's the best coleslaw I've had at wetherspoons lovely and creamy the steak and chips really good I was happy😀

Visited on a busy Saturday, noticed this was now a Wetherspoons. Busy outside, but found table inside no problem, quickly served at bar. Order came within a 10 minutes, but was not a jacket potato as ordered but a pannini. They apologised and corrected my meal within a few minutes.

Visited my old home town for a family party. Thought we'd pop in for a bite to eat beforehand. It was 7pm and a pretty busy Saturday night. We thought we'd see how busy it was first. Before I had chance, the burly doorman stopped me with our 12 year old daughter and said "No ID, your not coming in". I'm pretty sure the no child policy started at 9pm, not 7pm?? Whether it does in this branch or not is not the problem. I was made to feel like some underage teen trying to sneak in, not a grown 50 year old woman with her child trying to eat food. This member of staff was RUDE and ARROGANT!!

Food was decent but the drink service was absolutely shocking. We ordered food and drink at the same time, we eat and finished our food and drinks had still not arrived! We went to the bar and mentioned, only for the person working behind the bar to the point to the end of the table to where the drinks were just sitting there. When asked why the drinks were left there and not brought to us, they just shrugged their shoulders as if “not my problem”. Shocking service. Only spoons in the UK where food is delivered than the drinks, in fact the drinks never came.

The staff allow selfish, inconsiderate idiots to openly smoke in the non smoking area. There is a designated smoking area but scabs don't seem to care and smoke under the noses of staff who clearly don't have a mind to enforce the non smoking signs. These smokers are so ignorant and selfish and don't care that there are children and families sitting at the side of them.

Yes they went in this pub for breakfast more staff and customers after waiting 14 minutes for my porridge, went to the bar to be told by Alex the manager have a problem with the cooking utensil in the kitchen excuses. Excuses excuses. Then to be sitting at the table, having a work man fitting a Smoke alarm nearby drilling the ceiling dust everywhere . In my opinion, health and safety wasn’t taking all the precautions photos can be seen.

Went with friends for a nice drink on Tuesday and was greeted with excellent customer service, especially from Elisha. She was very attentive and kind and when we had a mix up with our order she went out of her way to make sure we were accommodated for. The rest of the staff were also great, will definitely come again!

I’m not happy because we got pink chicken and a drink since turn up for 45 minutes after food and it’s my bday weekend and 2 others not impressed chip town does it better

Upon ordering our family meal we asked for soem extra bbq sauce but was told we need to order from bar! So I needed to leave my table mid meal to them pay for a tiny amount of bbq sauce which the manager tells me he’s doesn’t sale! Poor attitude poor management. Staff lack training but I also blame this on poor management. Avoid at all costs.

Poor. For a Wetherspoons with only one real ale “on”, a bar person who was slow unable to determine who had been waiting longest this was a very unsatisfactory experience in comparison with other Wetherspoons I have visited.

This place is a joke. Went here for breakfast. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all and after waiting 50 minutes as a member of staff where the food was. They were rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. When the food came out it came out in dribs and drabs leaving some members of our party not eating with the others. When the final meals came the first person had finished. In the meantime other tables that ordered after us got their food first. The food was cold and nearly inedible. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told that they were unavailable as they were with the police in the office. The member of staff who did attend the table wasn’t even willing to listen to our complaint. Not a free drink was offered or any more back. After spending £40 in there on naff food we would never return

Went to the V-Shed for the 2nd time in 6 months and I am absolutely shocked at how different it was this time round. Sat quietly in a group of 5 girls having dinner and a few cocktails when 2 aggressive bouncers came over and shouted at us to leave. We were left very confused at what we had done - they weren’t up for explaining to us and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Asked for the manager- he took ages to come over and speak to us, apparently a complaint had gone in about us using “threatening behaviour” towards another table. We hadn’t even come into contact with this table, or knew who they were.Other tables around us stood up for us and agreed at how disgusting the staffs/bouncers behavior was towards us.We will NEVER be returning to the V-Shed ever again after this awful experience, and hope Manager Paul gets sacked or at least retrained along with the rest of his rude staff.

The manager and the staff are disrespectful, they kicked out 4 tables including our table for no reason to get their turnover in, they accused us of certain behaviour considering the cameras and other tables disagreed they still kicked us out, be very careful where you spend your money here - they are vile with their customer service and don’t deserve anyone to drink or dine there!

V-Shed is a Weterspoons managed pub in a wonderfull harbourside location. It has everything you would expect from a Wetherspoons and if Wetherspoons is your thing you won't but disappointed.

I came here yesterday and ordered the butterfly chicken burger and chips. When it arrived 5 minutes later (Yes 5 min) it was almost cold and the chicken didn't seem cooked. I tried to eat what I could as a friend paid for my meal for my birthday. But it got so bad I had to spit some into a tissue. I didn't say anything out of not wanting to make a fuss and embarrass my friend. But I woke up at 6.30am today with stomach pain and was very ill. I am certain this place ruined my birthday! Yes it's cheap but by no means cheerful. The staff are not friendly and just there to serve! Nobody came to the table either to ask if the food was ok!

17th January and aircon is running flat out and it's freezing in here. Manager allegedly dealing with it but nothing happening. All customers in coats. Not the first time this has happened. Log fire would be better.

Came here on a date and whilst you expect a general level of all Wetherspoons, we were let down by the food.I ordered 3 small plates, including pigs in blankets. When they were brought to us they were just a bowl of warm cocktail sausages. I queried this with the bar who told me “this has happened more than once today”. I went back to my table to wait for replacements. Instead, the same bowl of cocktail sausages was brought back (now stone cold) and I was told there were no ‘blankets’ available and the young waiter walked off.I called him back, told him I wouldn’t eat it as it went what I ordered and asked him to arrange a refund. 10 minutes later we hadn’t heard anything, so I asked another waitress who was very apologetic and sorted my refund for that item quickly.It did mean I was still hungry as we left and it all felt a bit like I was bothering everyone, when if the kitchen didn’t have bacon they shouldn’t be offering items wrapped in bacon on the menu and certainly shouldn’t just sent them out without a key ingredient and hope the customer either doesn’t notice or doesn’t want to send them back.

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon at the start of October. A huge pub over a number of floors with cheap food that was okay. Friendly staff and had the ham and mushroom pizza.

Popped in for drinks having an hour to kill. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a hot chocolate which was awesome! Will go again, nice atmosphere

Has to be best Witherspoons in UK for location, ale is good and I carnt believe this but the scampi was the best I have ever tasted!!!!!!! Cooked too perfection too!!!! Ok I only had a small, 4 pieces but as i carnt hardly swallow that's All i could manage even with two pint. The down side to this place is the folk begging outside, lots of them coming into outside seating area asking, plus the best hidden electric I have seen. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a guy reading outside, I then realised he was having a phone charge free, yep he's hooked up into the fairy lights in a massive plant pot with his own lead. Ha ha ha look at pic and you'll see.

Nice location, very busy pub though. I am sure it has good views in the day of the water. Same price as any other weatherspoons.

Visité el VShed y el personal es muy grosero, cometieron un error con mi pedido de comida y básicamente dijeron que era mi pedido incorrecto. Los SIA no son muy amigables con los clientes que exigen mover las mesas en lugar de preguntarle a la gente. Obviamente están en un viaje de poder. Muy pobre y la gerencia necesita mirar la forma en que se están conduciendo.

Booked for 13 people for breakfast. The lighting was so dim had to use torch on phone to see menu.

Visited this venue a few times now. However was really disappointed when my friend and I visited the last time as the underside of the table was absolutely filthy. My friend had to take a "cleansing wipe" to it as her jacket was sticking to the table. Apart from that, it is still a very nice Wetherspoon's pub.

Very shocked to witness a dealer dishing out drugs at the entrance at vshed whilst we’re eating also the ladies toilets were a disgrace

We visited at 6.30 on a Sunday afternoon for something to eat after walking around Bristol harbourside for a few hours. It was very noisy with recellers who seemed to have consumed too much alcohol and the walking to our table on the vinyl floor area our feet were sticking to the floor. The food was typical Weatherspoon fare but the noise and the sticky floor made this a poor visit

Visited whilst on a short family break in Bristol. This Wetherspoons is in a lovely location right on the waterside inside what was once a goods warehouse and has lovely views overlooking the harbour unfortunately these are the only positives. We came here on the recommendation of a member of staff from another Wetherspoons as they no longer did steaks, this was disappointing as I've always enjoyed them, on arrival we managed to find a table only to be told that Wetherspoons have stopped doing steaks entirely! Both the Wetherspoons we visited in Bristol were shabby and also quite grubby. We won't be returning
