We came here twice during our short break in Scarborough to take advantage of the eat out to help out scheme. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. Lots of room to distance. Menu items were adapted for our little ones with no fuss, thanks.

Monday morning so it's quiet and a great place to sit and read. Great, friendly Yorkshire welcome! The market's really nice, arts and crafts, antiques, and still some food!

Tasty food and welcoming staff. The menu has a wide range of things to choose from, all the tables are well spaced out and the prices are very reasonable. We went for eggs benedict and tuna melt pani the portion sizes were just enough and nicely presented, the tuna melt came with vegetable crisps which are great. The eggs benedict was tasty the eggs where cooked to perfection Would definitely recommend

We were in Scarborough for the weekend and popped in to look around the market hall. Popped upstairs and saw the shops and cafes. Chose Urban Kitchen as the menu looked nice. It was a great choice. Excellent tasty, freshly made food. Good service from very friendly staff. There were lots of people having afternoon tea, the cakes looked great! I will definitely go back when next in the area.

I decided to try Urban Kitchen after I saw it advertised on Facebook. The afternoon tea looked great and well worth a try. Located in the market place, which has been redone since I last visited, on the top floor there is plenty of table space. You order yourself at the counter and they make things fresh for you. Overall we ordered afternoon tea for 2 and beans on toast with a latte. It came to £25 which was fair. The beans on toast was average, and my dad wasn't too pleased that the bread was seeded rather than plain white. The aft tea was lovely! Choice of sandwiches with a mini quiche each. The cake selection looked gorgeous and we had cherry cheesecake and lemon cheesecake. One of the nicest I've ever tasted. We had one scone split in half with jam and cream, but I might have preferred a full scone each and only one piece of cheesecake...? It did advertise that we should get dipped strawberries but we weren't given any. Tea or coffee was given too which was fine. We had to wait a bit of time, the guys in the kitchen looked a bit busy and rushed but it was worth the wait. It was a really hot day too and you could feel the heat in the cafe, which was slightly unpleasant but not really anyone's fault. Overall I would recommend urban kitchen as a great little eat if you're in Scarborough.

What a gem! The menu is simple, interesting and well considered. We had the daal stew which was delicious.;We were spoilt for choice with other offerings on the menu so will definitely go back. They make their own bread, scones and croissant too. Very friendly for humans and furry friends, I highly recommend.
