Upper Deck Bar in Hammersmith and Fulham

Very disappointed, staff very rude and unhelpful, prime location that clearly needs better management. Plenty more places that know how to treat customers.

Visited here on a friday night while on a weekend away with my mum. We were warmly greeted by a lovely man and although they were very busy as soon as a table with tower bridge view became available we were asked if we would like to move. Staff were all attentive and friendly and drinks were very reasonable. Went to go back on the Saturday night about 9pm but they were closing for the night. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. Maybe a sign at the bottom of the steps with opening times and a copy of the menu might be a good idea. ( maybe we just missed seeing it)

Nuestra primera vez a lo largo de la orilla sur para pasear. Encontré este encantador bar y nos quedamos a tomar unas copas.

Cinco de nosotros visitamos el bar a las 5 pm un martes. Le preguntamos al camarero si tenían ros, ya que parecía extraño que ros no era una opción en el menú de bebidas (es un bar después de todo). El camarero dijo que no tenían Ros y sugirió que optáramos por el rubor Pinot. Pedimos una botella de rubor de pinot pero notamos que la mesa junto a nosotros estaba bebiendo ros. Le preguntamos al camarero qué bebían para asegurarse, dijo "la casa ros", le preguntamos por qué negó que el bar estuviera lleno de ros cuando en realidad sí y su excusa era que, según él, "la gente no lo hace". Generalmente vamos por ros ". Estábamos desconcertados. También pedimos bruschettas que dejamos porque estaban sin sabor y rancios. En general, el servicio fue pésimo, la comida era horrible, el menú de bebidas era demasiado caro y limitado y recomendaría Cote Brasserie o Cafe Rouge si quieres sentarte junto al río. ¡EVITAR! ! !

This is a great place to have a drink and watch the sun go down over the Thames. Unfortunately the barman wasn't really interested in serving us as he was busy chatting on his phone. When I bought the second round of (expensive) drinks, he walked away without giving me a receipt, so I had to lean over the bar and get it myself. This place could and should be so much better.

After traipsing around London Town all morning I came upon this spot which has magnificent views of the river Thames and the tower bridge in particular, a pleasant way to spend a few hours toasting Pauline of Cheshire on her special day !!

A great place to watch the sun go down over London on the Upper Deck. The sharing plates are also delicious so give yourselves a good hour or so to unwind after a hectic work day.

Ordered a pilsner and a scotch and coke - paid normal London prices (over £15). Beer to be honest was lovely, however the scotch and coke came in a glass with lipstick on it. When I returned it, although replaced - not even an apology offered. Another couple at the bar asked for two coffees, the chap behind the bar simply said its not hot go downstairs if you want one - again not even a hint at an apology. The setting is great, and this bar could be excellent - staff need a complete attitude change though.

Great views and lots to explore on your way up to the bar. Make sure you give yourself time to be guided around the HMS Belfast. A very nostalgic experience.

Above the entrance to HMS Belfast great views and drinks at reasonable prices (reasonable for London Tourist areas that is) nice staff and lovely sitting out there in the sunshine before going aboard the Museum Ship

This place has an incredible view of tower bridge. It's worth coming if you would like to get a great view. It can be a bit cold but they have heaters to keep you warm.

The lady who served us was polite but not really interested. I ordered 4 tea's and she served this with no milk, sugar or teaspoons. I asked for regular tea and got Earl grey tea. £13 for 4 cups of tea that tasted horrible. I won't get caught again.

We came here late afternoon for a few drinks before dinner. We found a lovely table which had heaters above it and sat to take in the stunning view of tower bridge and its surroundings. Worth a visit

Just above the frenetic Southbank you can enjoy a drink and a magnificent view. Most people seem to walk straight by without realising the oasis of calm available. Best served with sun directly overhead.

Stopped here for a refreshing drink after far too much walking around London. A very friendly place with fantastic views over Tower Bridge and the river Thames. Unisex toilets that are clean and provide much needed relief in the area as public facilities are rare...

Un encantador bar a la orilla del río para un día soleado en el centro de Londres, con una fantástica vista del puente de la torre y HMS Belfast. Primero, aunque tiene una lista de precios de igualar. Disfrute de una bebida especial pero luego diríjase a uno de los bares en la Galleria Hays por mas agradable para beber y comer al aire libre al bolso opciones.

Wpadłam na to miejsce w zeszłym roku, podczas zwiedzania Londynu. W tym roku wróciłam i była to dobra decyzja.Bar znajduje się na tarasie,nad wejściem do HMS Belfast. Jest częściowo zadaszony oraz w górnych partiach przeszkolony.Można tam coś zjeść, ale również napić się piwa,wina lub napojów mniej wyskokowych(w całkiem rozsądnych cenach), podziwiając otaczające widoki na Tower, Tower Bridge(most kilka krotnie był otwierany), budynki City oraz wiele innych.

Ate lunch here today and what a spot! We sat right in the sun facing HMS Belfast and watched the world go by! Stunning little place and the staff were very nice too! Had a tasty panini and a beer and it was perfect! Completely recommend if u come across this place!

Great elevated position, next to the Thames and the HMS BELFAST. A lovely place to stop and unwind, in between all the site seeing. Fuel the burner and carry on, or have another pimms.

Very nice little bar offering coffee and small bites, as well as alcohol, with good views over the river and Tower Bridge.

Lovely views along the Thames whilst sipping a glass of fizz. Great place to catch a few rays too in the summer. Somewhere slightly different to relax and enjoy our great city.

This place is great to just sit and drink and watch the world go bythe view of tower bridge and Southbank and great.has to be and sunny fine evening otherwise it could get coldI would go there again.

Situated at the entrance to HMS Belfast but not part of the entry fee, this great little bar offers some fantastic views of London out to Tower Bridge, looking over to the Walkie Talkie and of course HMS Belfast.We sat in the sunshine and had an averagely priced London ale and enjoyed some quality people watching with the tourists passing by. A must stop off point if you are near London Bridge or heading towards Tower Bridge.

Beautiful view of the Thames River with a nice patio and deck area. Try a pitcher of Pimm's & Lemonade for around 11£.

We stopped here for pre-dinner drinks on a warm sunny midweek evening. Great views from the upper deck towards Tower Bridge. The drinks were a bit pricey but no more so than elsewhere in London. Staff were friendly and we got served pretty quick.

Popped in here on the way home from a day out. Nice little find, great views along the river including Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. It was busy as after work and mostly office workers. Drinks were reasonably priced and service was ok. We also ordered a Vegetarian Sharing board which was ok, good for the price.

We stopped here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded and offered some great views of the river and Tower Bridge. I would stop here again the next visit to London!

Vale a pena contemplar a paisagem da Tower Bridge tomando um chopp ou um vinho. O Deck é muito bacana e tem um atendimento ótimo. Não achei tão caro. E os bartenders são Brasileiros.

Este bar fica na entrada do HMS Belfast, junto com a lojinhas de lembrancinhas, é uma boa opção para quem está voltando do HMS Belfast e quer descansar ou então quer curtir a ótima vista da Tower Bridge, que fica logo em seguida. O atendimento é bom e os preços são normais.

Local é simples, mas ao mesmo tempo finíssimo por contar com uma bela opção de Vinhos, Champagnes e Cervejas. Localizado entre as pontes London Bridge e Tower Bridge, vale muito a pena conhecer e passar uma bela tarde com os amigos.Para sua sorte tem um garçom que é Brasileiro e estava em Londres e menos de 1 ano e pudemos conversar e falar um pouco sobre Londres e pegar boas dicas com ele.

It is very good you are walking by the River Thames waterfront from London Bridge Station and give that hunger! Great place to take a break and see with calm the river thames with that breeze hitting on your face. Wonderful place.

Lunch in the sun in a great location. The card machine was broken on the upper deck so we bought sandwiches and drinks in the cafe downstairs also where the gift shop and entrance to ship is located. The lady working in the cafe was delightful, so helpful and pleasant. We then took our lunch upstairs to the Upper Deck. Our sandwiches were all very good and we enjoyed the lovely view of Tower Bridge in the autumn sunshine.

Perfect Sunday morning:Breakfast bacon sarnie at Gillray's in the old GLC building, then stroll along South Bank past the skaters and the jugglers and the acrobats and the living statues and the giant bubble guy. No 1 Son wants to go round the Belfast, so husband and I perch up at the bar in the gentle autumn sunshine and sip a couple of glasses of gorgeous Prosecco at EXTREMELY reasonable prices.View to the left; up-river towards Westminster. View to the front; BIG boat! View to the right; Tower Bridge. London doesn't get much better than this....

On a sunny summer morning, this was the nicest location in London that I've ever enjoyed for a coffee. Stylish restaurant, peaceful morning, great cappucino, and an amazing view of the entire river and Southbank. Truly a highlight of my holiday in London!

This was my first visit to the Upper Deck bar even though I work in the area. The clientele is probably 50/50 office workers and tourists.The setting is fabulous, on a terrace overlooking the river alongside HMS Belfast and with views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.On a busy lunchtime on a hot day it was understandably busy but there was only one member of staff behind the bar along with somebody cooking food on the barbecue.The art of a good bar person is that they should know who is due to be served next. However, the girl on duty had absolutely no idea. My colleague and I were at one end of the bar and she kept serving people at the other end even though they had just arrived. I had to remind her that we’d been waiting a while and we were then served. She seemed to struggle with the till and the card machine as well.I was not impressed and don’t think I will be returning. There is more to a bar than a lovely view.

Had been meaning to try out this place for a while. It was busy on a sunny weekday late afternoon, but there was enough turnover with tables that we got to sit down immediately and subsequent visitors never seemed to have to wait long before sitting down. Yes, drink prices are expensive, but hey, it's London and a riverside bar with views! Do check prices if getting wines by the glass - I ordered a 125ml glass of wine (the standard size there is 175ml), but was charged the standard price, so got my glass topped up.It was lovely looking across to Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and also HMS Belfast. I liked that some of the seating was in the shade of a canopy, great for (the few) sunny summer days, more likely for the rainy ones :) Would return.Please take a moment to rate if you found this review helpful :)

Very expensive, very busy and loud pumping euro-trash music made this borderline poor. I've gone for an average rating as it was a lovely sunny table and the staff were fairly friendly.Sadly that was about it - not sure where people have said that the views are magnificent - to the right you can look at Tower Bridge but there are better bars with better views and without the atricious music and prices (and I am in London a lot - so not "normal" London prices either)

My husband and I chilled out up here with a couple of glasses of wine, it was a gorgeous sunny afternoon and the view was amazing! friendly and efficient bar staff, nice tables and even bean bags to chill on :0) prices were expensive but that's London for you!
