The very Tasty Hamburger and the fish with very Tasty Potato the service a little slow when serving and bringing drinks and the bill.

Absolutely brilliant local pub - we have been locals for years and regularly go now, since the new renovation & management. Lovely atmosphere, great menu and consistently friendly staff. The restaurant section is classy enough for a nice dinner, and the bar area is relaxed and fun. The peppercorn sauce is fantastic.

Very nice Sunday Roast, family friendly. Also go there for drinks, polite staff, chilled atmosphere.

I don’t know when these other reviews were written but it must have been under different management. Very cold inside. Don’t know how to make a decent Bloody Mary. Food extremely average bordering on bad. Stale bread

Nice quiet pub out the way, quick service, staff are nice, food is decent and has a small, heated garden. Clean toilets too!

Great food under new management

I’ve been here a few times over the last few years and always enjoyed it. The food is definitely a BIG cut above the standard pub food, and they do a good range of beers and drinks. Can accommodate couples and families, and is just a great pub.

I hired the private room for a baby shower and it was everything we asked for! The table was set out just how I asked and the touch of having our own bar was even better! Thank you all soo much

Decent pub but it has some of the rudest staff in all of London.

Food was excellent, menu had a good choice of options and was reasonably priced. Very nice surroundings and a large outdoor area as well

Nice place and food. We loved it.

We went here for our garding party and had a really good time. The upstairs function room was a nice space with a bar and seating area. The drinks were a nice price, but there could have been a little more variety on the food menu, but other than that, it was a lovely place 😊

The staff is so sweet here. Their nachos and halloumi fries were soooo good. Great vibes will definitely be back. They also have a huge upstairs if you wanted to have a big birthday here.

Food was very disappointing. There were 4 of us, 2 Ordered whitebait for starter, they had about 3 bits of whitebait but mostly squid which for the price was terrible with a watercress garnish that was wilted and had seen a better day. All of us us then had roast dinners. 3 chicken and one beef. The gravy was like water, potatoes weren’t roasted, they tasted boiled and had no crispyness to them. Bread sauce was cold, pig in blanket was anaemic and looked like it had t even been cooked, the same for the stuffing, pale white and definitely not roasted. The only part that was ok was the roast carrots and the Yorkshire pudding. With the whole dimmer tasting like it hadn’t been seasoned. The serving staff were lovely however and tried their best to accommodate but I would never eat here again. We were out for a birthday lunch day so it ruined the day.

Staff fantastic nothing to much trouble everything was really nice and would recommend BUT roast potatoes and gravy disappointing need crispy pots and a thicker gravy. Beef cooked to perfection. starters and puddings yummie 4 adults two bottles of wine couple starters 4 roasts two puddings £217 will be back

Lovely fish and chips. Went around 1.30 reasonably quiet. Outside seating 5 minutes from hammersmith station.

Disappointed with my vegan roast dinner. The Wellington tasted like it had some kind of spice in it, the gravy was far too watery. It was super loud with big groups in both corners and us in the middle

Food was really bad (very small portions, very simple food like that cooked by a first year undergraduate who is cooking for themselves for the first time). And therefore very overpriced. Do not recommend at all.

Popped in to the upstairs room for a private function. The bar staff were so welcoming and friendly. A great asset to the pub.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at The Grove pub in Surbition and I must say it was an absolute delight. The cozy atmosphere combined with friendly staff made for a memorable experience. The pub meal itself was truly outstanding. The dish I ordered, sea bass, was a perfect balance of flavours and textures. Each bite was a delightful combination of savory and mouthwatering goodness. The portion size was generous, leaving me completely satisfied. I highly recommend this pub to anyone in search of a delicious meal accompanied by a warm and inviting ambiance.

Unfortunately I feel 3* is a bit generous. Our order was forgotten, as were our drinks. When we asked 30 minutes later where at least our drinks were, by coincidence our food was finally ready....and came out cold, They forgot one of our drinks, and never once checked on what was a very disappointing meal. Not to worry though, their tip at 12.5% "discretionary service fee" had been added for having completely forgotten about us then serving very sub par cold food. If you just want a pint with friends, sure. If you want to eat, definitely eat elsewhere.

We went for Quiz Night. It was great fun. The staff are lovely and the service is very smooth.

I'm sure I've had decent meals in the grove before but I really unimpressed with the cauliflower curry, undercooked veg in really large pieces, not chopped up or mixed into the sauce and and not much curry sauce

The second time in a month I’ve enjoyed Sunday lunch at The Grove. I wanted to go back because 1) the first time was so good, and 2) I wanted to make sure it was as good as i remembered. It was, really consistent and equally tasty. I’ll be back.

Booked last minute. Long wait for food. One wrong main arrived- they fixed that quickly. Two of us ordered sea bass with chorizo, spinach and new potatoes. No chorizo and no spinach. Disappointing.

The Grove Tavern in leafy Hammersmith, this part at least is a fine street corner pub with high ceilings and an airy light feel. A selection of beers on offer, both cask and keg. Plenty of room inside and out. The service is both efficient and friendly. A great place for a beer on a fine warm summer's day. The doggy treats on the bar signals a welcome to our canine companions too!

The Grove kindly accommodated our request for a quiet table as we are an older group and put us on a table in a booth which was perfect. The food and service were also excellent and so we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you!

Since the refurbishment, a handsome bar restaurant with delicious gastro-pub style food and a good wine selection.

The Grove was absolutely gorgeous and the food was great. The interior is super cozy and spacious, and the food was great (despite large portions) the red pepper and quinoa burger was delicious and the service was great. Definitely stop by if you get the chance!

First time trying the place and it was pretty good, we were in a rush for a quick meal and went there. Love the garden outside (outdoor seating ) was very cozy and beautiful . We ordered the lamb shank and the burger both was pretty good very tasty. The service was good and good hygiene. A bit on the pricier side but a good experience.

Gorgeous space and friendly staff with a cheerful kitchen knocking out a proper decent range of gastropub favourites. Lovely touch to have the local butcher’s burger - a thick meaty patty perfectly seasoned. Italian chef produces good fish and meat dishes, and even a proper vegan main. I love that you can have the bar snacks as starters. Several good beers and a rather long wine list

As always, great food and lovely service. The food took a while to arrive though and didn't all come together, NB, so one of our party had cold food. But it was still good.

Buzzing atmosphere on a Friday and great service from a waitress who had only been there a few weeks. However, the beef burger was incredibly dry rather than being juicy, which for a short rib and flank burger was incredibly disappointing. Desserts were nice.

Lovely pub & delicious food. I've been there with my wife and we loved it. My wife had the Oven Baked Cod with aubergine Caponata and I had a Rib eye Steak MR perfectly cook. I was very impressed with the quality of food and the excellent Service, the staff make you feel very welcome there. I will definitely be back. I recommend it 100%

We ate here a couple of times when staying at Hammersmith. Some of our group's dishes were good - especially the pork ribs, but the steak was incredibly salty, as was the pepper sauce, and chips were dry slash burnt. There are much better alternatives in the area

A very disappointing Sunday Roast. The chicken was very poor quality a slimy leg portion with little meat. The bread sauce was a gloopy circular little disc. Then two droopy carrots and all topped off with a soggy bottomed Yorkshire pudding. My friends beef was slightly better but with the Sam problems with trimmings. Once shown to our table we were not approached again for 25 minutes. The place felt tired and grubby. I will not be returning.

We had such a lovely afternoon with family at the Grove. We received a warm welcome, staff were really friendly and the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend 👌 looking forward to our next visit for a yummy Sunday roast 😋 and love that dogs are welcome.

Really great new menu (new chef and management), so good to see local produce from the amazing Stenton’s butcher on the menu! The “Stenton burger” was great! Wine list also pretty good. Lovely service, great local!

Nice pub, friendly service and good food.

The sirloin steaks and chips were fantastic. The chimichurri sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Nice Christmas ambience, maybe just seated a little too close to the kitchen, as it was quite warm. Will definitely return.

We took my niece and great niece to the Grove for Christmas lunch. The food was excellent, served piping hot and very generous portions so very good value for money. The service was discreet and everything was dealt with in a highly efficient manner. We will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere (if not a little too quiet!) and food was great.

Food was bland and overcooked, service was non existent. Drinks sat on end of bar for 20mins before we collected them ourselves. Wait staff never checked on us during main course and after an extended wait to get attention to order dessert/coffee we gave up and got the bill. Staff seemed oblivious and spent more time asking us to fill in review cards at the end that they had spoken to us the entire meal.

These were, hands down, the best nachos I've ever had at a pub. Great atmosphere too!
