great fast service anna and Edith were very helpful. anna specifically was a delight. the floor was very clean

Tea served in a large cup but asked for a small cup! Assistant automatically put milk in coffee but not in tea but never asked if we wanted milk. She was sniffing and stuffing a tissue up her nose while serving. Not hygienic. Tables sticky. Far too expensive for a cup of coffee and a cup of tea. Not impressed. I can’t recommend any food as we didn’t have any.

I always come here for my early morning pre-train cuppa. The tea is good and they’re always happy and helpful.

Good little place to chill out have a coffee and some food before jumping on a train. Nice and fresh and good seating area too.

Julie was lovely and her customer skills on point. There was another very welcoming lady preparing fresh baguettes. Julie made my coffee the way I requested and I really enjoyed it. Pain au choc was great for breakfast and I've been dreaming of such delicious blueberry muffin x will definitely come back

Southampton Central Train Station Cafe. The food was nice and fresh, a good coffee and a brilliant service, the person serving today was lovely, and kind with my daughter who has special needs, she gave her time to choose, spoke to her directly and and her questions accordingly. It's these small things that make a big difference. Travelling today will be pleasant and calm. Thank you 🤓

Awful, hardly anything in that apart from tomatoes. Some very expensive tomatoes and very rude management and staff.

Called in for coffee and a baguette at 1205 pm and a delightful young lady served us with brilliant coffee and outstanding avocado and chicken baguette.

Ok, I didn't have great expectations, but sadly worse than expected. I ordered a tea, I know, you shouldn't order tea from coffee bars, but seriously bag in, milk in, there you go. Yuck. Then almond croissant. Raw! Literally raw dough. How hard can it be? Surely you just put it in the oven and push the button for croissant? Considering saving it, till I get back and asking for a refund. Yuck yuck yuck!

They don’t heat up their croissants and sandwiches even if they have a machine . It seems they just don’t want to do it. Disgusting service

Apart for it being quite large and quite is about the only good thing. A bit grotty, and the girl serving need to learn to speak and interact with customers, a please, thank you and a smile might be nice, rather looking like she’d had a heavy night out before and couldn’t be bothered to be there… great experience? Nope!

Very welcoming from Sam as usual. Prompt service and tables cleared ready for the next customer.

Had placed order and prepaid online via app. Drove a half hour to arrive and be told they had just cancelled our order! However, they then proceeded to put together bags of baguettes and pastries, per the order we had already made but then hadn't redo online while waiting for bags. Good was OK, a little dry, and would only do Takeout. Didn't even notice if they had chairs to be honest.

Friendly staff, slightly over priced hot drink for a decaf tea with alt milk, but quick service and helpful knowledge of station itself.

The best selection of baguettes I have ever come across, about to go up for seconds. Couldn’t have hoped for a nicer way to spend my hour long change, with the loveliest chatty staff and a great deal on the beers ;)

Slow, unhelpful staff who don't even know the details of what they are selling, and tried to over charge me. Had to ask for a napkin too.

Great food friendly lady at the counter

Served by Meesh today in the 25 minutes waiting time I had between train journeys. I saw Meesh expertly get through the long queue of people ahead of me promptly, but whilst also giving each customer an individual, caring interaction. I didn't see any other staff but knew they were there as Meesh was relaying back details on the stock out front, such as what had run out and how little was left of another product, so it's clear the whole team there are good at what they do. Meesh kindly refilled my water bottle for me as well as making a lush flat white and prepping my baguette. Well done Upper Crust on your team!

I sometimes come in before my train to work when I'm running late and don't have time for breakfast. The staff are friendly, speedy and know my order whenever I come in. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Missed my train and was absolutely devastated- almost in tears. But I spotted the upper crust and next thing you know, my upper lip was soaked in one of the smoothest coffees in the south. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought it was my own coffee!

The staff were amazing but the prices are a bit expensive but the staff were very helpful and friendly

The breakfast roll, was a bit dire. Although they heated the roll, the sausage was dry, egg has seen better days. I removed the above and just had the bacon which was OK. Coffee was fine.

I didn't like the baguete, too dry. Staff are friendly

I walked in while waiting for my train which was to London and due in 10 mins. I was promptly assisted and left within 5 minutes. Very efficient service. I did not ask for a receipt but I ordered for a hot chocolate and an Americano with a croissant and a pain au Chocolat. It was a total of £8.28, which is a good deal

I visited this Upper Crust a few weeks earlier and was very impressed by how friendly and efficient the staff were. On this particular date I was just waiting for my coffee when my carrier bag disintegrated. The two members of staff (Julie and Edith) were sympathetic, cheerful, and they helped me to resolve the problem. They’re a credit to the business.

Lady was very rude gave me the wrong sandwich then when I told her nicely, she said in a horrible tone I should have asked for chicken salad when I specifically said chicken with tomato. Obviously hates her job and shouldn't be serving customers with such a bad attitude. She put me off my lunch.

Had 2 bacon rolls this morning. £6:60. Inedible awful disgusting. Very nice serving lady though!

Seems pretty good to me. The food is freshly prepared and of all the 'O2 Priority' deals, this is the new best value. Staff generally good.

The cafe needs a deep clean to put in politely. It's filthy with splatters of everything on walls floors and counter tops. It also doesn't open on time early in the morning.

This food court was absolutely awful. Short queue now I can under stand why there is. Asked for an Oreo s'mores frappe the cup was only two thirds full and it turned out to be just an Oreo frappe. The staff working there were also staring at me whilst I was sitting there waiting for the other third and snores for my drink. I would not advise anyone going here because the staff are rude as well.

I was shocked to see only one male staff member trying to serve a growing line of people, I waited 8-10mins to be served, whilst two female staff members appearing but then disappearing out the back, not helping in anyway, with seconds before my train departure, I was told by staff he had called for help. But the wait was not the end, the latte was! the mike had gone off!! Very very disappointed in Upper Crust which I had used for years on my travels. Time to change! DB
