Walked over for a drink and a bite to eat this lunchtime - lovely friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and lovely food (though would've preferred fried onion on hot dog) - good prices. Great local pub - how a pub should be! What more could you ask for??

Good ale for sure. Great value for money. Always a great evening had here. New menu is basic but good quality and plenty to eat. All in all a great value evening.

The Hop remains a decent old school two bar pub, no fussiness but pleasant decor with experienced proprietors & good staff. Pleased pubs like the Hop still exist but need everyone to support them, once they're gone they're gone.

We once visited this pub on one of our regular yet random ramblings. It has a very cosy and extremely traditional British pub feel. We only explored the lounge bar but it was delightful, almost like sitting in your nan’s living room. We’d certainly go back here as they have a great selection of beers on tap as well as lots of other drinks to choose from. Quite reasonably priced too, despite the current climate.

Really good pub. Lovely food that’s great value, friendly people, fun quiz night, music, garden, sports bar and cosy lounge bar. I’m lucky to live close to this pub as so many communities have lost their local, go for lunch and appreciate what is not so common anymore.

Took my old mum for lunch. She is profoundly deaf so asked if they had a quiet area. The young lad found us the perfect table. Food was faultless service impeccable.

Friendly staff and clientele, fine local and national real ales. Good food at reasonable prices available. I prefer the lounge bar but for pool, darts and sports t.v., the public bar is spot on. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
