Upper Crust Newcastle Airport in Newcastle upon Tyne

The person who stand at 12:25pm on 04.04.2025 was so rude and shouted us as well as he did not serve to us. I was with my 2 kids. I would like to raise a concern regarding an unpleasant experience I had today at your coffee shop. When I inquired about a hot dog, the staff member responded rudely in front of my child. His behavior was unacceptable. He spoke disrespectfully to both me and my son, refused to serve us any food or coffee, and stated that it was his coffee shop and asked us to leave before he would call security. This experience was very upsetting, especially as it occurred in front of my child. I believe no customer should be treated in such a manner, regardless of the situation. I kindly request that this matter be looked into and appropriate action taken to ensure that such behavior is not repeated.

MD in the Newcastle branch was very helpful.

Trevor (who served us) was excellent. Really helpful and friendly.. Don't often experience such nice and friendly service at most food vendors.

Assistant disappeared for long breaks so place unattended. Worst bacon sandwich I've ever had. Unwelcoming.

I stopped there while onboarding with KLM. My card with ING was declined, but our server MD was excellent and explained everything. We end up being paid by my friends. Md seems very knowledgeable and has offered us exceptional service too! Bedankt

Before heading for our flight we stopped off at upper crust for our breakfast the young lady behind the counter was very helpful and polite food and coffee was amazing, would highly recommend any one going on holiday to pop in and give it a go

Lovely and cosy cafe. Young lad with the beard kept me entertained while the food was warming up. Noticing I was a Hindu he told me about his recent going to a diwali festival where he said he performed with his friends. Overall a friendly and welcoming environment

Over the top pricing bringing our own sarnies next time and the male attendant could not keep off his phone

Food was alright but pricey(what can we expect in airport). Service was good, when asked she warmed the food for me which was brilliant. The charging points in cafe were handy as well.

Sandwiches are great and the service is very nice too. My flight was delayed and he gave me a free tea without me asking. Last time, he filled our water bottles free of charge.

Ordered a hot choc, small americano, a danish and a croissant (both tiny)- bill was over£14. Waiter delivered drinks but had to be reminded about pastries which came in a paper bag. When asked if he had any butter etc for croissant waiter said “we don’t do that sort of thing”. Total rip off for poor quality - we won’t be back

My server, MD, was very polite and helpful and really cared that I had a good experience at this Uppercrust location. Food was good as well compared to other pricier options at the airport.

Had time to fill due to a delayed flight, so thought we would give this place a try! I have to say I am so glad we did as the choice of food was very reasonably priced and to a great standard. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was also good 👍. The place was clean and tidy. This will always be my first stop next time we go to Newcastle airport

Probably the worst service I have ever had. Our baguettes were thrown on the counter and then we were told not to sit down as it was closing time. This was at 12.30 on a Wednesday. I won’t be back ! !

Waited 5 minutes for someone to appear. Order Tuna Mayo - was initially presented with a sandwich that looked like it had been run over. Asked for a different one - this one had hardly any tuna in it. Complete rip off

Slow service and it wasn’t busy. Overpriced very small pastries. Used to be better before the make over I noticed that they seem to share baking facilities with the other cafe (?)

bought 2 pastries and pain au chocalait tasted like yesterdays. Cappucino was poor and milk for tea was off. Operative was fine. This was 7.45 Sat morning with one member of staff.

Ordinary chain cafe but friendly, helpful staff and a semi-secluded place to get a coffee near the escalator to the gate when the Aspire lounge fills up (very common nowadays).

Great efforts by the server to ensure the customer was satisfied.

Had a bagett which was tastey and blue berry muffin was lush soft and very moist and a cuppa tea good fill a hole.

Dry, hardly any filling , expensive, absolute rip off, no salt or pepper available told to ” try Macdonalds” not even a smear of butter or margarine . Typical airport extortion. Looks good but so disappointing.

5am on 10th May. What a miserable little cow behind the counter. Floppy bacon sandwich. I asked for milk in my coffee. I was told I carnt do everything. It’s there. Another lady was told not to get too close to the counter. Probably because it was scruffy. What a tip never again. No wonder people were just walk-in away. Frankie.

One of the staff members were cleaning out a bin where rubbish and coffee had spilled all over the floor. They cleaned this up without wearing gloves and then proceeded to serve customers, touch food, touch her face and make coffees between a 15-20 minute period going back and forth to the bin to clean it, still without WASHING her hands. Will never step foot in this place, food hygiene doesn’t exist here. 13/07/22 6.52am
