Really nice bar good atmosphere live band

Wouldn't go again even though the cocktails were nice. Had a booking for ten people and they asked in the booking if it was a celebration or a birthday, I said yes it was my hen night. Side note ; my party was dressed as if going to a funeral, smart and in all black. Congratulations, booking confirmed. Proceeded to arrive and be told to take off my veil and sash and the rest of my party to take off their ladies' day style facinators because it was inappropriate. Probably wouldn't have booked in at all if this had been better displayed online, as everyone had put time and thought into their outfits. Another hen group came in and were on the dance floor before they were told that their bride wasn't allowed to wear her very demure and discreet tiara . Would recommend that they add a cocktail named "the fun police" as I think it would suit the vibe they overall gave off.

Service was sooooooooo slow. We were served quickly but we waited 30 minutes for a guy to make 4 cocktails. The girl next to him made 15 drinks to his 2 and I'm not exaggering. I rarely complain but we asked for the manager when he asked for £41 and said we weren't prepared to pay that after such a painful wait. A young girl, the manager, came and said they were short staffed and there was nothing she could do, we had to pay. I won't be back, which is a shame because the music was good.

Appallingly sexist. Wouldn’t allow a small group of 4 guys on a sten do in when there was plenty of room.

Cocktail bar, plenty of choice, had some bloke with a guitar singing away on the stage, nobody payed him any attention but at least it wasn't a DJ.

1st time in here, there was a live act on. Great atmosphere everyone joined in. Little small for the size but amazing atmosphere. Great staff, great drinks

I used to work here years back when it was Julies nightclub. Rachael Frame has done an amazing job with this beautiful building. The interiors are beautifully feminine. A good selection of food and beverages and just simply has ' a great feeling'. View of the Quayside and Bridges and your date make it a perfect setting. Xx

Mot a cheap bar bar but Bar staff were on the ball for a busy bar, the musicians were alright too, playing recognisable tunes .dj played decent music also. Mixed ages altho some of the young lads were rude to older people finally great negroni 😋....

The barman who was brought in to help out that night (bearded, nose piercing, tattoos) makes the best old fashioned I've ever tasted ! He even recommended a couple of alternatives to try some with a flavour twist as well. That man needs a pay rise ! Really nice atmosphere and pleasant place to drink and hang out. We'll definitely be visiting again !

Great vibes on a Saturday night

Absolutely fantastic bar decorated so beautifully with flowers and a vibe of the 1920s but modern too. Highly recommended good for Instagram pictures too!

First visit. Lovely surroundings, excellent range of cocktails, even do half price ones for a limited time on a Saturday . We were there at teatime, but I'd imagine if you were going with a large group, it may be advisable to reserve a table. Staff are so lovely

Usually a great gaff for a beer and cocktail. Mrs was wanting a woo woo, not on the menu. All ingredients available but staff wasn't willing to make it.

I love going to Tiger Hornby, usually with friends. The atmosphere is so lovely and the decor and furnishings are beautiful. The manager is fab and the staff are professional and friendly. Cocktails are amazing. We will be back soon

I don't know what it is a about this place. Have been in a number of times. The decor is clean, colourful and comfortable with hanging faux florals from the ceiling (and who doesn't like a bit of faux foliage?!), however, for some reason the bar staff that have served me have always come across a little up themselves and I always leave thinking "I hate that place!" ... and yet, I still go back. Go figure! 🤪 Prices are outrageous and if you're going in a group and buying in rounds, I would sugguest you stick to buying for yourself and even avoid that, if you can get out of it; almost £20 for two large gin and tonics on this last visit ... with soda-syphon tonic!!!

Cracking place to visit for a chilled out couple of drinks. Lovely friendly staff and great selection of drinks. Last couple of Fridays I’ve been there has been live music.

A pub on the quayside opposite Swing Bridge, brilliant on a weekday afternoon for a quiet drink, not to many people in. Good staff on the bar but, it was card payment only.

It's a popular bar with great decor and atmosphere. I was lured in by the live music. A man with a guitar was singing lots of songs I knew, giving it his all. The Geordie Gin cocktail was really tasty. The cocktail menu was extensive. I'd visit this bar again.

Ita a lovely place but my drinks were up from £6./0 to £8.50 within half an hour. Quite a jump tbh! Singer was good but way too loud. Turn it down a notch.

one of my favourite cocktail bars in the city. A great variety of cocktails served in a timely manner. The staff are always very friendly. The bar itself has lots of space so you can always guarantee a place to sit (or stand!)

The old Julie's looks a lot different. Nicely done out with pleasant, helpful staff. Appreciate it's a quayside bar, but drinks are quite pricey.

With Max behind the bar and Jess on the floor they have the ultimate team! Amazing atmosphere and music. Felt welcome as soon as we got through the door.

Bar service second to none. Staff are brilliant. (Apologies in advanced for the description as I didn't catch the name) the guy in the long hair tied back deserves a raise or a promotion or anything as he was on the ball throughout. Not just our table but everyone else's. Thumbs up, would recommend to anyone!

I first came here in the daytime where we sat outside and chilled with a few cocktails in the sunshine. Although you are next to a road which can get busy in peak hours, it's still quite pleasant and the drinks are great, especially during happy hour. I then returned on a Sunday night and sat inside. It felt very classy and had a great, chilled atmosphere. After a few drinks we tried the cheeseboard for something to nibble on and it was really nice: not something I would usually expect to eat in a cocktail bar but was definitely better than a bag of crisps. The staff are really friendly and there wasn't a long wait for drinks which can be a problem in cocktail bars.

Looked beautiful inside but we chose to sit outside and enjoyed a nice cocktail on a warm night. we booked ahead.

Only one other table occupied in the bar. Seemed like we were intruding on a Staff Gossip session.

We visited Tiger Hornsby the night before it closed for renovations back in February. It was absolutely stunning inside so we're not sure how much it has changed since! We stopped off for a couple of cocktails on the way back to our hotel. It was pretty quiet with it being on a Sunday night, however, we can imagine it can get really busy on a Friday and Saturday! Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and tasty drinks! Definitely worth a visit.

Great atmosphere cocktails for £5up until 7pm. There was a singer on who was really good if he's not a regular act he should be
