Cozy pub, right in the center. We came there on a Sunday, very busy but nice atmosphere and excellent food and drinks.

Amazing first time here! Thanks so much to Grace M for being so lovely attentive and professional! If we were to come back we want Grace!! We even got a special drink for our friend as it was our birthday! Perfect xx

Been here a few times recently and as always it was amazing. James was our server today. We were in a bit of a rush but got seated straight away by the girl at the door even though it was busy. Fantastic service, great food, great atmosphere. Would 10/10 recommend.

My friends and I went for restaurant week very very disappointed with the food and table,the starter was like a sample and the main meal was like a starter we had to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper the food was cold one of my friend sent hers back, but myself and other friend ate ours as we waited a good while for the food, so sorry to say I won't be going back and if anyone ask me i will be telling them to avoid going there

Had a Christmas bottomless brunch on 14/12/24 with my work colleagues, the food was lovely, music and atmosphere fantastic. Our experience couldn't have been better thanks to our waitress Ella, she was brilliant and kept our food and drink flowing for all 11 of us, thanks Ella we had a fantastic time xxx

My husband and I booked a table for 10th. December as a birthday treat .unfortunately I became ill and was unaware what was happing and ended up on the floor vomiting on myself and the floor ,my husband had to help me up and i was still unaware of what happened .one male staff member left some paper towels and was rather rude about what was happing. He also insinuated I was drunk .He abruptly said he needed to clean that area .that my poor husband tried to clean with a dry paper towel!! We had a 25% voucher for my birthday. The guy removed my drink.there was no offer of water or care from staff .I was a really embarrassed as the restaurant was busy and by the way we didn't get our 25% discount, he said he will do it the next we have a meal .I don't think I will show my face in there again.

Banyan in Newcastle is such a great spot, especially for sitting outside in the sun. The atmosphere is fantastic, with live music nearby that adds so much to the vibe. It’s also in a great location, right next to Grey’s Monument in the heart of the city. Perfect place to relax, enjoy good drinks, and take in the lively surroundings. Highly recommend!

I think this is the only bar where the music hit the right spot in my memory. The cocktails week proved that the cocktails can be cheap and delicious at the same time. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommended place ❤️.

Amazing service for a birthday brunch for over 20 people. Semi private area was great, everyone loved their food and plenty of drink varieties with value for money. Service was outstanding for duration and we were able to remain in the venue longer than booking. Best bottomless brunch in Newcastle. Such a pretty venue also.

Walked the length of Newcastle, in the teeming afternoon rain, to dine here. Service was as dismal as the weather. When ordering drinks I asked which lagers were on draught, server turned to bar and recited, all I heard was Budvar on her half turn back to the table (of two). Asked for Budvar as the only option I caught. 10 minutes later another server came to say Budvar was off. I asked her to chose another lager for me, bearing in mind i had no clue from the previously muttered options; would think I asked her to donate a kidney. The food was great (verging on fantastic), but arrived lukewarm at best. This was pointed out politely when we were disinterestingly asked how everything was. "Oh" was the reply. Went to the bar to pay as server standing 2ft from us didn't hear, or chose not to, when we asked for the bill. At the bar, money taken, no curiosity about the experience. Walked out the front door, ignored by two servers standing there. Its a game of two halves, fantastic food and decor; abysmal hosting.

Ordered two courses and was impressed at the speed of delivery for drinks and first course (despite half of the drinks being unavailable) And then Nothing For an hour To the point where we had to chase the main courses which arrived in dribs and drabs. A free drink was offered and received for the inconvenience, but even that needed chasing. Nice venue, fun music. Poor service.

I’ve been to Banyan couple of times for 2-4-1 cocktails. Great atmosphere, good music. Just what you need when you’re out for cocktails.

Meh,,, Had to wait a while for someone to take our Drinks order, would of been quicker at the Bar, food wasn't that nice, ordered the chicken fajita wrap, had no taste, hardly any of the sauces were in it, only ate half of it, really bland. Fair to say we won't be returning..

What a fantastic bar/restaurant! The staff deserve every bit of praise, so professional, attentive and humorous. Always feel welcome and it’s good vibes all around. The new menu is delicious, sooo many things I wanted to choose from. Can’t wait to come back and try something new next time. We had the pan Asian sharer this time and it was honestly unreal, too good to share 😍 could have eaten it all to myself and I’m not a big eater usually! We had a Caribbean cocktail that was LUSH and a rose spritz 100% recommend coming here for food, drinks and a great atmosphere!

Over staffed but still very SLOW service as staff were too busy chatting at the end of the bar constantly. POOR attitude also, service with a smile lacking, it looked like nobody wanted to be there, would not return!

We went to Banyan, Newcastle yesterday for a Bottomless Brunch celebrating a 21st birthday. Our servers Grace M and James were absolutely brilliant - really attentive and friendly, they made our experience. The food and drinks were delicious and amazing value for money. By far the best bottomless brunch experience we’ve had. Would highly recommend and we will be returning!

Breakfast is good. Look for Grace she is very welcoming.

Went for food and 2 for 1 cocktails with a few friends. Both absolutely delicious. The venue itself is spacious and not at a detriment to its atmosphere as there are always plenty of customers. Staff are very friendly and service was excellent. We were served by Magdelene who was efficient and welcoming.

Bloody chicken and looked pink slightly uncooked. Didn’t touch my meal at all. Staff took is without really saying anything or wondering why it was untouched so for that it’s a 1 ⭐️ huge bit of blood in chicken 👎

Booked for bottomless brunch here and we were told we were the first to try the new menu which we must say we were very impressed with l! I had the breakfast hash which was delicious, especially washed down with a poached pear spritz or seven 😜 The drinks selection was very good with plenty of choice to suit all different tastes Service was impeccable, Austin our waiter kept us topped up with prosecco whilst regularly talking orders for cocktails and other drinks I would highly recommend booking here for bottomless brunch! Make sure you ask for Austin 👍

Excellent Bottomless brunch, friendly, quick, attentive, Ella H made the night.

We had a large group, which I understand is difficult to deal with, but we had preordered every dish for each person and they forgot one. Wouldn’t have been a huge deal, but the waitstaff refused to go back and make the missing dish unless we payed AGAIN for it, even after showing the original order form. Absolutely baffling service decision.

Clean warm and inviting. We only stayed for drinks so cannot comment on food.

Food was lovely, but both of our first choices were unavailable as was my first choice of beer. A little disappointing. Our choices were Steak & Ale Pie and Chicken Fajita Wrap. The beer I wanted was Madri.

外から見て雰囲気が良さそうだったので前の日から楽しみにして入店したのですが… はっきり言って、とても残念な時間を過ごました。 先ずは接客。今回イギリス旅行に来て唯一の店員の接客に苛立ちを覚えたお店でしたね(席を2度も変更させられた…) 次に料理。ハンバーガーを頼んだのですが… 申し訳ありませんが、おそらく私の人生で最も美味しくないハンバーガーでした(ポテトはパサパサだし) これで￥２４００かと思うと悲しくなりました。

Pre-booked table for 4. Had to wait 45 minutes for a second round of drinks, an hour and a half for food order to come. Food order was wrong. Once the burger arrived there was no bun as they ran out. It was hard to get servers attention.

Had a brunch there on sat 7th! Well worth the money, food and drinks were amazing! The 2 lasses serving are a credit to your business, lovely lasses and worked hard

Popped in here for a quick lunch last Saturday as hadn’t booked anywhere and were pleasantly surprised that they could fit us in. Really quite big inside which you don’t realise from outside. Good atmosphere, good tunes and fab food. Can’t beat a decent club sandwich and that’s exactly what I got! Filled to the brim and served with fries, very tasty indeed. We will be back on our next visit to Newcastle 👍

Such a lovely atmosphere, food was amazing. Service was spot on too, the server was extremely polite and friendly. The vibes are amazing, they have some nice booths you can sit in, a disco ball that isn’t too bright, and even some good funky lighting. I got the chicken schnitzel, it was absolutely gorgeous, cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend checking this place out, a massive 10/10 from me <3 Thank you for the great time!!

Waiting 40 minutes for the food when the place was quiet and the chips arrived cold. They also add on a 10% tip without asking you so you have the awkward moment of having to ask them to take it off the bill if you don't want to pay it.

Was in here lastnight to celebrate my cousins graduation, amazing service from josh and another girl (sorry didn't get her name) food was beautiful and didn't wait long, we were quite a large party and the place was packed but never felt rushed at all! At the end the servers brought out presents and cupcakes that we had took along earlier in the day, they even put a fountain candle in, which was a lovely suprize and a very nice touch to end such a lovely meal! Food wasn't that good, very noisy, staff pleasant.

We had a private pre-booked event from work as a socialising night. It seemed like the staff was annoyed by our presence when we were using drink vouchers. There was even an unnecessary problem when I asked for gin and tonic to be separated while another time another bartender suggested it by himself, so I was confused. I wonder if there is not enough staff for the amount of people as there were two events happening at the same time. Food was ok but more like snack options, especially for vegetarians.

Got caught in a rain storm so we ducked in here for cover. Cool place. Cold beer.

Service was shocking, no one took notice of us, asked how the food was and they got our order wrong. Waitresses did not know what they were doing or serving and it was very overpriced- £9 for 1 dry duck bao bun is a joke

Had bottomless brunch with 5 friends, really great value for money, drinks were flowing, food beautiful, Josh our server was lovely, and kept making sure we were getting the most out of our experience, highly recommended

Had breakfast outside here on a sunny day in the toon. It was a sunny Saturday and lots of groups out on birthdays/stags/hens and like us, going to the rugby league magic weekend. The atmosphere was great and no trouble seen at all. Standard price for central Newcastle but the food was great. We ordered to our table via the QR code and the service was really quick. We stayed a couple of hours enjoying drinks in the sun and we were never pressured to move on but there always seemed space for newcomers arriving. The inside had a great decor too. Really friendly staff working hard too.

Had a fabulous day yesterday Saturday 3rd June food was amazing vegetable malayan curry, and Josh the young man who served us was just so helpful and pleasant, made our day even better.

Me and my fiancé went here today For a sunday dinner and it was disappointing to say the least, everything was dry and we got the steak added as an extra cost, the chicken was bone dry so glad we had gravy, £56, i will never go again

Horrible!!!! I got California sushi bowl, it was only one spoon rice with a ready pack salad and some smoked salmon obviously straight out of package. The mocktail was ridiculously sweet. The worst food ever. I ate myeal only because I was hungry I didn’t enjoy at all!

Headed to this bar on a Bank holiday Sunday at 10.30pm, was told ot closed at 11pm, despite the website saying 12.30 close!

Great place to meet on match days or entertaing business guests, especially since some changes to the staff were made as the previous booking and greeters at the entrance were pretentious and cocky. Could do with better menu as the food served is a little overpriced for what it is and portion sizes

Greeted by friendly polite staff. It was quite busy this time, maybe because it was restaurant week.still managed to get table though. Had a lovely 3 course meal, crispy kingprawn rolls, filled by firecracker chicken salad and I just managed to squeeze in ice cream, I did have diet pepsi though😋 It was clean and tidy. The toilets are upstairs so is the accessible toilet but it does have a lift. Monument metro is the closet but you can also get local bus service which is also close. Lovely food, great prices, atmosphere was also good Would I come again, yeah as I have visited a few times now and have already recommended to my friends and family 🙂X
