Quay 7 in Newcastle upon Tyne

My brother and I were walking along the river when we discovered that they were broadcasting soccer there. It was very quiet, and we got a perfect spot. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The nachos with guacamole, cream cheese, cheese, and chili con carne were outstanding. Highly recommended.

Met up with family for a lovely Sunday lunch at Quay 7 Restaurant. The food was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I definitely intend to go back again.

Asistir a una discoteca navideña para la familia. Primero el ascensor no funcionó y tuvimos un buggy con nosotros. Se supone que comíamos a las 12: 15 . La comida llegó a las 12: 45 . Hacía frío. Casi todas las mesas tenían el mismo problema y todas tenían que devolver comida. Esperamos 30 minutos más. La comida entonces vino sin todas las cosas que tenía originalmente. Obviamente se habían acabado. La comida también estaba fría. El pobre tipo que lo dirigía estaba mortificado.

I had Sunday lunch yesterday with friends. The food was very good. The service was outstanding. Janet made sure we were all very happy with each course. We enjoy this restaurant as we can retire to the next room relaxing with teas coffees etc. Everything clean and tidy. Unfortunately the new car parking rules could have an effect on whether we re-book this restaurant for our future get together.

Called in on the off chance whilst walking along the river as seen the sign for two course Sunday lunch for £12.50 Greeted by a young lady at the bar who asked another team Member and we were ushered into the restaurant We had pate and tri colour salad for starters followed by roast beef and roast chicken dinners. Lovely tasty gravy amazing Yorkshire pudd and the vegetables were cooked just right. The restaurant was very relaxed and at no point did we feel rushed. Staff were were pleasant and helpful. Hubby went for cheesecake I had the sticky toffee pudding …. We both declared our impromptu lunch a big hit and we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all involved

this is the 3rd time of visiting the restaurant for sunday lunch. Highly recommended food was delicious and well presented. staff were lovely and friendly. definitely be back

Four of us booked Sunday Lunch here as we heard about their offer of starter and full roast dinner for £12.50. Could not fault anything. Had a great table overlooking the river, great service from Janet who couldn’t do enough for us, and most importantly - fabulous food.Good choice of starter , then a proper roast dinner with lots of veg meat and home made Yorkshire pud - all freshly cooked and hot. You could even ask for extra gravy and Yorkshire if you could manage it - we couldn’t! Can highly recommend a visit - these ladies who lunch will definitely be going back.

I thought I’d stepped into an episode of Fawlty Towers. The restaurant manager had her own ideas about how service should be handled. We were short on time but after 30 minutes waiting we were told that we couldn’t order until our drinks had arrived otherwise ‘we might mess everything up’ the young staff were struggling as it didn’t look like they’d received any training. They didn’t even know how to serve between two customers. Please give them some guidance! The actual food tasted like any pub lunch anywhere. What a shame with such a lovely venue.

I had the misfortune to have purchased a Groupon voucher for Sunday Lunch just before lock down in 2020. I had a booking made for the end of April 2020 but this was cancelled by the Copthorne Hotel due to the covid lock down. I was told by the person who rang not to worry and that they would look after me and be in touch when it was possible to re-book. I contacted them in July 2021 when we were coming out of another covid lock down and was advised that they were not fully up and running but that when they were they would be in touch. Move forward to May of this year when I again contacted the Copthorne (they had never over the previous 2 years tried to contact me despite being told they would when the original cancellation took place). On this occasion I was told that the deal had expired and that all customers had been contacted at the start of the year and told when they could use the voucher by. When I asked why had I not been contacted they were not able to say why. I then tried speaking to the Manager who had left for the day and then the deputy who had also left for the day. I ended up speaking with Nicholas, Operations manager, who was both abrupt and off hand and basically lay the blame for the voucher having now expired and me not using it at my door. He said why on earth had I left it so long before contacting them-he certainly would not have in my position. When I said the onus was on them to contact me and not the other way around he simply ignored me. I then asked to speak with the General Manager the following day and spoke with Ken Ellington, Area General Manager (Nicholas's parting words had been I was wasting my time as I would be told exactly the same as he had told me). Sadly Nicholas was more or less correct. As a last resort I tired emailing the Chief Executive of Millennium Hotels on 22/5/22-I am still awaiting the courtesy of a reply.

Teníamos un vale wowcher para el almuerzo del domingo para dos personas. 2 platos y una botella de vino. Aparcamos en el aparcamiento del hotel. fuimos al restaurante nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Nos dieron el menú y se tomó una orden de bebidas. pedimos nuestros entrantes ambos tuvimos la sopa y estaba delicioso. Ambos optamos por carne de res, la comida se sirve caliente y bien presentada. El personal fue encantador. nada les molestaba. Las comidas eran encantadoras, no tengo ninguna queja. Pedimos una jarra de agua para beber con la comida. También tuvimos una botella de vino blanco que vino con el bono. Vale la pena intentarlo. fue encantador.

タイン川沿いのホテルの中にあります。ディナーでコース料理を頼みました。ローストチキンが美味しかったです。また、スタッフの サービスがとてもよかったです。

people eat here the sundaylunch is mint the service is quality from walking in to leaving the staff and managers are great, beautiful tyne outside the window cannot recommend highly enough .once again thankyou for a great lunch and a warm welcome outstanding!

We visited for Sunday lunch with a groupon voucher. We pre booked a table for 4. On arrival we were shown to our table, the staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is a bother to them. The menu is very good offering a good choice of starters, main courses and desserts. The food is always served hot, well presented, and is delicious. Or voucher was for a two course lunch with a bottle of wine, we opted to also have a dessert, which was £4 extra each, which is very good. You can park your car in the hotel car park for 3 hours free of charge, which is good. We will certainly be returning.

I have been in one worse Wetherspoons.

Food / Drink and staff very good..clean and tidy

Our first visit to the restaurant and certainly won’t be our last. Had Sunday lunch and there was a good choice of starters, main and desert. Asked for the cocktail menu and had a melon mojito which was delicious. Was tended to by 3 different members of staff and all were delightful. Definitly recommend and perfect for couples and families.

Having had a bad experience in October at this restaurant the manager Ken contacted me and arranged for us to return to have a meal. We returned on Saturday 26th January and the meal and service was spot on. Thanks Ken we will return.

we purchased a living social voucher offering Sunday lunch and wine for 4 people. I rang and booked a table a few days prior. we were given a table for 2pm. we were greeted by lovely helpful staff, who took our coats and showed us to.our table. we were given menus and explained what was included in the offer. we had starters, I had fishcake with tartar sauce. the others had ham hock with chutney, we all had roast beef. the starters arrived, beautifully presented and so tasty. The roast dinner arrived with a huge bowl of vegetables, broccoli, cauli, carrots, mange tout, and hot and tasty. this is one of the best Sunday lunches we have had. the wine was lovely. and we were also offered tea and coffee in with the offer. the staff went out of their way to.look after you. The restaurant itself looks over the river, very bright and nicely decorated. we will certainly be back.

Linked to the hotel here. I had to stay there for a month for a work training course. Staff were great and the food was also fantastic. We didn't have to pay for the food as it was provided by the company so I cannot comment on the price etc. But I cannot fault how accomodating they were for us and I would happily go back here.

this was an outstanding sunday lunch delicious fishcake and soup to start with roast beef for my wife and chicken for myself the food was perfect just the right amount of everything cooked to perfection no need for condiments or seasoning service was excellent and it was such a good offer glad we went there will be back thanks to all for a delicious lunch

We took up a special deal to have a 2 course sunday lunch with a bottle of wine. Luckily we were seated close to the (open) window with the promenade/river view, a warm summer`s day and the fresh air added to the ambience. A smoked haddock/spring onion fish cake starter followed by roast beef - with a choice of medium rare/well done option was excellent, a most enjoyable dining experience.

Stopped for lunch. Sat outside with a nice view of the river and good people watching spot. Menu was adequate but on the pricey side. Although it was quiet took some time for food to arrive but staff kept us updated. There was nothing wrong with the food but it was no better than Wetherspoons next door for half the price. Upside is you will get a table outside.

Swift service and friendly staff throughout, no issue with getting a meal later in the evening here. Good range of draught beers and ales, with good food.

We visited for a midweek meal using the two steak and wine deal. The waitress, Lauren was very attentive and pleasant, an asset to Quay 7. We opted for bread to share while we waited for the main course and ordered a separate side dish. The food was nice, a very reasonable deal with the two steaks offer. The views are nice along the river and the restaurant itself is airy and relaxing.

What a wonderful place Quay 7 is, we used a stake for 2 voucher and it was excellent value.

Venue is very formal, tables are spaced out so good if you like privacy, staff were pleasant and professional.

This bar is based in the Copthorne hotel and when we stayed at the hotel for a weekend recently, we wrongly assumed that the prices in the bar would be ridiculously expensive and a rip-off (like so many others in the area), so it was a nice surprise to find that it was very reasonable. It was busy whilst we were there but we didn’t wait long to be served. We tended to start and end our evenings out in here and we enjoyed it. There is a lovely outside area for the rare occasions when Newcastle gets some sunshine and the view of the River Tyne is wonderful, well worth a visit.

Nicely presented and an excellent quality meal for our last night in England. Dining room looks out on the Tyne River and activity along the pedestrian walk. Servers were all very attentive and friendly. No need to venture out when good food is right at the Copthorne Hotel. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The breakfast buffet had a wide range of selections. However it the restaurant staff made my stay especially pleasant- Janet, John, Georgia, Cecelia (hungary), and the thin guy with brown hair. They even helped me out with a request for salt to gargle for my sore throat.

I've bought vouchers for afternoon tea with prosecco on a regular basis for many months now. Each visit has been a pleasure because of the lovely location with a table overlooking the river and a relaxed friendly atmosphere with no pressure to leave until we are ready. The afternoon tea has a good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes with unlimited tea or coffee topped off with a glass of prosecco. The staff are very friendly and nothing's too much trouble. John in particular is very attentive to ensure we ladies enjoy our afternoon tea.

Came here for dinner as was staying at the hotel, the food was very nice and a good portion size I had the meatball which were very nice but one of the meatballs tasted salty but the other one was fine! Staff was really nice and friendly. Didn't have to wait long to be served. Would go again

We were staying at the Copthorne so we took advantage of the special offer for guests £14.50 for 2 courses. The food was good and served quickly although we could not eat in the restaurant as there was a Christmas Party booked in.

The Quay 7 is situated within the Copthorne Hotel on the Quayside. It has a very quiet ambience with views of the river Tyne.
