Great wee sandwich kiosk. James who served my friend and I was very friendly and helpful. Chicken sandwich was delicious and meal deal even included a large bottle of water which isn't always the case at other outlets. My friend and I were very pleased with the service.

Worst ever customer service. Ginger young girl. Had such a face on her, my partner walked away he found it so awkward. Some basic communication would have been okay, but grunts and rudeness not ok.

Loved the cheese and tomato baguette, also bonus that you get a free bottle of juice! Anybody moaning about the price of this deal (£4) can easy go back to their boring shop bought sarnie! Really tasty sandwiches! Love Upper Crust, wish there was one closer to me will definitely visit again! Helpful staff, thanks heaps!

Worst and most expensive bacon roll ever. 2 small streaky bacon rashers for a fiver and warmed up in microwave oven. Not worth it.

Crusty baguette cheese & tomato - 3 small squares of thin cheese placed diagonally to look more & 2/3 slices of tomato in a baguette 6/8 in’s long. Cost £3.99 absolute rip off. Any supermarket would do a better sandwich at half the price. Oh apparently you can have a free drink with that but I didn’t want one.

Jumping the train down from Leeds for a day out in York my twin brother Stephen and I were quite peckish leaving the train and decided to head to this Upper Crust outlet in York Railway Station. Love Upper Crust ,everything fresh from baguettes to coffee ,most every major railway station has an outlet and York's Railway Station is particularly good . We got a cheese and ham baguette each and a coffee to go ,baguette was so good, plenty of cheese and ham, fresh salad served between two fresh tasty cobs ,coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, all in all a wonderful visit to this Upper Crust outlet in York Railway Station and a great start to our day out.

Sadly the staff were bordering on rude , especially the lady who appeared to be in charge . There was a tiny space to wait for a table. As I was on my own , the table which had been cleared for me by one of the other staff was not given to me and I was pit at a table next to a door where children were attending a private party. I wanted to order soup but was told it would be ½ hour. Not sure why that would be as it said soup was available from 12 noon and it was simply a case of putting some in a bowl ! This , coupled with a frosty atmosphere was enough to make me leave. There were 3 staff working in thr seating area yet there were uncleaned tables and lots of people who were clearly waiting to order . Sadly , I decided I wasn't particularly welcome and I decided to leave.

Not open 24 hours anymore since COVID, but open from 6am until 12am except Sun. The ATMs outside are available 24/7, and the store is huge, everything you could possibly want

Popped in for a bite before work and noticed that it was filled with dirty tables which made me want to take away as i went to get my tuna sandwich i noticed a pair of scissors just lying there as i gave it to the guy working he looked completely clueless, once my food was cooked they picked it up with their hands!! and just shoved it in the packaging so when it came to eating it, most of the tuna and cheese was stuck to the top and it was not enjoyable. I wish I went back to complain and get my money back but I just didn't have time by then

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at a great price. I love the no phones, no internet, no music, no TV rules.

Popped in as I honestly was desperate for the toilet. I noticed they had a cafe so was very happy to purchase something or even grab a cute little gift on my way out. I was immediately bellowed at across the room by a scary looking woman who said ‘we don’t have public toilets, that is what you’re looking for isn’t it?’ I said that I was but I was happy to purchase something too (I totally understand business owners view on this however it is a ladies time of the month, I was desperate and I verbalised that I was willing to purchase something too). She told me that I was a liar and I wouldn’t buy anything and clearly wasn’t going to tell me where the toilet was so I used the disabled quickly (no one else was around). I said that it was disgusting to deny another person the human right to use the bathroom. SHE TOLD ME THAT I WAS DISGUSTING!!! Wow. I used the bathroom and calmly came out saying that I had full intentions of buying something and as I’m from a small historic town myself, I’m more than happy to support local businesses. She proceeded to aggressively tell Me that I wasn’t going to buy anything so feeling intimidated I left. To which she followed me to the door, then started taking photos of our car through the window. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! VILE
