What a treat! Great location, great food. Plenty to choose from on the menu. The food was excellent and good size portions. Very reasonably priced too. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Exceptionally clean, especially as lots of people had dogs and so so impressed that there was a dog free zone too ( I don't mind dogs but I don't want to eat with them.)

Came in with my husband on Monday morning. Lovely little place and great cakes! Was very displeased by being witness to a certain employee. I didn’t manage to catch her name but she was a brunette lady who took our order, very loud in the inappropriate words she said to her fellow staff members. Completely unprofessional and made an uncomfortable environment. The younger girls seemed unsettled. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful little place right in the middle of our new favourite walk. Rest of the staff were lovely and very helpful in helping choose a homemade gelato flavour which was 10/10.

Poor food. Filling a plate with chips is not a substitute for good food. Sausage overcooked. Eggs overcooked. Bacon nearly raw. Brown Sauce disgusting. Don’t bother eating here. Only saving grace - coffee and ice cream pretty good!!!!

This is just the type of place Weston needs. Nice decor and layout, lots of staff giving a friendly and efficient service, great coffee and great food. We visited for breakfast after walking from Anchor Head. Great place to stop off and refuel! Poached eggs on Sourdough toast were perfect and egg and bacon sandwich was great as well. Look forward to visiting again.

We called in here for breakfast whilst we were staying on the campsite next door. Friendly service with a smile. Lovely cooked breakfast (found it odd to have bread and butter with the full English instead of toast?) and not overpriced compared to some places. VERY doggie friendly, which we liked even though we no longer have a dog. They also have an outside hut (serving drinks and ice creams) with a sitting out area, but sadly it was lashing down the day we ate there!

If you love dogs you will love this place, if you don’t I would suggest you avoid. Went for brunch, which was average. Overcooked sausages and floppy bread! With background noise of barking dogs inside of cafe, I guess owners are not in control of their animals, it was a little too much. I would not return due to this, not at all keen on animals in a cafe environment.

I went to the beach with the dog, and ended up parking right outside the boathouse. They have a small cabin outside for takeaway drinks so grabbed a coffee ahead of the walk. After my beach visit I went inside and had a panini and chips for lunch which was fantastic. They also have a delicious selection of bakes, so had a lovely brownie to take away as well. Super reasonable prices, really friendly staff and tasty food. Would thoroughly recommend to all!

Tucked away next to a marina, this friendly cafe serves excellent coffee and top notch cakes. I can personally recommend the rhubarb and custard blondie. Staff are incredibly welcoming to dogs too. With both a large free car park (albeit on a hill) and coastal footpath nearby, it's the ideal place to stop after enjoying some fresh air.

This is a great venue for b'fast/brunch/lunch - food is decent/good - small point - would argue one needs doorstep bread with sausage or fish-finger sandwich; no biggy. Staff are really friendly and the establishment is dog friendly - hurrah! One drawback - only a single loo - need to bite the bullet and improve toilet facilities.

We came across The Boathouse when staying nearby for a week. What a fabulous cafe/restaurant & social area. We have a dog so are always on the lookout for dog friendly places to eat/drink & The Boathouse is probably one of the friendliest dog places we have visited. This you notice straight away from the doggie memorial plaques on the wall heartbreaking & warming at the same time. Anyway it’s fabulous inside, lovely decor & ambiance. We were quickly seated & ordered food from friendly staff from the food counter. We had a full english breakfast & smashed avocado on sourdough toast with 2 poached eggs. Breakfasts were fabulous, really tasty & excellent value. Fully recommended & if we lived nearer we would be regular visitors.

The portion sizes were huge and cooked fresh, with loads of sautéed potatoes and generous helpings of mushrooms (my favourite!) Perfect to fill the gap after a long walk on the beach! Having enjoyed food both hot and cold and snacks here in the past this last visit may well be our last.We have always had food that is both enjoyable and good value, together with service with a smile in the past. So much so that we have recommended to many. This last visit though was not good at all. First we were told the kitchen closed 2 hours before the cafe so no hot food after that.We were then charged over £5.20 for 2 scoops of ice-cream when this sort of charge would get you a proper Sundae in most establishments. After much debate I was then charged £3.50 for what most people would have considered the equivalent of one small scoop in a plastic tub.We also ordered a large cream tea only for a small (1 scone) cream tea to be served. We questioned it, again we were made to feel like we were awkward. It was taken away and another scone microwaved and added to the plate. We paid nearly £13 for a 330ml soft drink, a 2 scone cream tea (not homemade fresh scones) and a very small ice cream. With poor service. It really is a shame as with the new windows and doors it could make a once lovely cafe even better but it seems improvements to the building have come at the expense of poor quality food that's expensive.Sadly at the moment will not recommend or use this cafe.

Good food and plenty of exercise on a sunny day; what a combination for a lovely afternoon outside. At first glance, the well filled tables both outside and in, may make one think of moving on. But a stop here is well worth while whether at the beginning or at the end of a vigorous walk or cycle on the excellent tarmac footpath running south for miles from Weston-Super-Mer. The lunch time menu looked inviting with plenty of choice and mains well priced at about £9 (£36 for 3 adult meals, 1 child meal and a drink). Service was surprisingly quick considering the crowd and the portions certainly generous. The choice of seating areas: indoors close to the model ships, the ‘dog-free zone’ and the outdoor tables are just what any diner would want. The kindly staff served us well. we look forward to more visits to come.

He ignored the waitress, I said excuse me, of which I was ignored and the waitress asked him would you be able to help, as walking away he kindly said no!!!Well thank you very much!I obviously was not going to get any food. Out walking and came across, this place, the locals must use it a lot as it was busy. the menu was very good, very good customer service , and very very dog friendly. If you out in Uphill , I can highly recommend this place.👍

Me my daughter and granddaughter came here for lunch today as we had just walked the dog along uphill, my daughter went to order the chicken salad from the specials board only to be told they didn’t have any salad?! (No salad for a lunchtime menu at 1.45?!) So I asked if she could just have the chicken breast just to nibble on (she’s on a strict diet for her holiday) to be told that the chef wouldn’t cook just a chicken breast... there wasn’t anything else on the menu that she fancied so I actually asked the chef himself if he could cook a chicken breast, eventually he said in an unhelpful manner that he can but it will literally be just a chicken breast in a bowl. Which was fine by us but then they charged us £8.95 for one chicken breast!!!!! The same price that the chicken breast salad was. No way I’m paying almost £9 for one chicken breast. Especially when there was chicken breast in batter on the kids menu that came with chips and peas for £5.25 Then we ordered drinks and I asked for cream for my coffee... which they didn’t have!! So had to have clotted cream. The table we sat on hadn’t been cleaned and we had to ask for it to be wiped down as there was food on it. The high chair was filthy and we had to wipe it down ourselves (which wasn’t a problem but it should of been clean in the first place) This place has gone down hill since previous owners. Overall this experience wasn’t a good one and the staff were very unhelpful and not that friendly.

Great Home cooked food, lovely Staff and Value for money. Big portions a lot cheaper than a pub. Very Dog friendly with biscuits and towels provided. The Pictures on the wall by a local artist can be purchased and the money goes to a local Hospice. There is also a Book Sale to raise funds for the Church. We loved it and will definitely return.

Perfect location on fantastic route walking and cycling from Weston-Super-Mare to Brean. We had been staying at local camp site, packed up to leave and headed over for cooked breakfast. Rather than fried potatoes we asked if we could change to black pudding. 'The chef said no'' I can understand this , however when I asked for fruit tea instead of English Breakfast I was told that this would need an extra charge. Seriously...they were cheap German supermarket tea bags not twining's. we are talking pennies. Such a small issue that then leads to a poor review, is it worth it? Far too many fried potatoes its a nice local café not Dennys!

In an interesting location, popular with hikers, cyclists, and dog walkers, this café was a very enjoyable discovery.Coffee is good, service friendly and food delivery quick, my friends and I had a very enjoyable visit and brunch. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, on granary bread, was very tasty, and well prepared. Other members of the group had cakes (flapjacks, brownies) and were also very happy with the quality of these. The café is dog friendly, which is a big plus for many people walking their darlings around the locality. I would happily return here.

11th Century church on hill. Boatyard and walkway/cycle path to the beach through the scientific area of local wildlife, Birds butterflies flowers and more. Lovely cafe selling meals, snacks, drinks, ice creams, open in the summer. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. Close to the sea.

The boatyard cafe is in a very nice position, close to the beach and good for hiking/walking. I have been there on many occasions and enjoy it, particularly in the summer sitting outside to eat. I was a little disappointed on this occasion as I wanted to search the surrounding area on my iPad and was astounded that in the 21st century there was no Wi-fi. My iPad picked up their router so giving access would be easy. Also the toast was so over cooked that I could snap it. The bread was far too thin to toast. Come on Uphill Cafe, try to maintain the standards we are used to. I know I could have complained about the toast but my point is that it should never have been served in that condition. It was evident by the colour that it was well overdone.

I had two borrowed dogs, and fancied a cuppa. I expected to be asked to leave them outside, but they were welcomed (there is a dog free zone if needed) I had a lovely cream tea, and when I sat outside the owner brought a wee pile of dog biscuits out to us.Happy me, happy dogs,

Normally we would say 'full 5 stars' as we love the place; but when we visited Thurs this week, [29/8] we requested a coffee & a fresh fruit mango drink [which is amazing!] Time 3.50 pm I was told I could only have the coffee, but as they were closing at 4.0 pm they were not doing Mango drinks, just their own. I was led to believe, and the website states 8-5pm! Curtly told that's it! Thank you very much young lady. One attitude spoiling what has been a lovely place to go. Are you always going to move your closing times during weekdays?

A large area in Waterstones is occupied by this cafe. Lovely coffee and very good selection of cakes and snacks, counter service but very helpful with older customers. Great friendly staff and moderate prices - very popular with the locals.

Really good service from the staff. The food overall was good. The fish and chips wasn't as good as usual. Would definitely recommend.

Not overly large place so booking is advisable. Having said that, 4 of us turned up without a reservation having had some difficulty in booking a table ? However, the lovely guy at the desk shuffled things around and got us a table. What a great experience ! Chicken, beef, lamb dishes were amazing! Rice, noodles, potatoes, salad, pasta, fish, calamari, chocolate cake, chocolate fountain, gatuea, whippy ice-cream, array of fresh fruit etc etc ... So many choices! We were VERY impressed and have already booked a return visit ! Staff are helpful and polite and kept very busy ! We thought it was good value for money. £13 for children. £20 for adults ...evening price . I think a little cheaper on a lunch time ? All in all a very good experience.

Staff friendly latte was really nice, long wait for food near 50 minutes. Ordered the set breakfast 2 asked for well done eggs and bacon but one egg was snotty! Beans cold. Also ordered the breakfast set 1 and didn’t enjoy any of it, all over cooked! Shame but wouldn’t go back for food only for coffee. Wasn’t worth £25.00 and this included a refund of one egg.
