What a lovely little family cafe. Food is amazing and the prices are not too expensive either. It’s great that they allow small friendly dogs in too. We went in with friends and our Boston Terrier. The owner brought him out his own little plate of sausages. The plate was wrapped in tinfoil for hygiene purposes. If the weather is nice you can sit outside under the gazebo and watch the world go by. Staff were lovely and had so great conversations with other customers.

Can't complain about the lovely baked potato with tuna/salad. However, I can and must complain about the table in front of me. Three middle aged ladies, all had dog's with them, sat on their laps, paws, tongues, faces on the table etc. Then to my disgust they started to feed them from plates actually at the table instead of putting their dishes/plates on the floor . This is surely a health/safety issue? I'm not against dog's but this was totally unacceptable and to be perfectly honest, the assistant should have spoken up and told these three ladies NOT TO FEED THEIR DOGS FROM THE TABLE. Really I should have reported this to Trading Standards. So on that note, TO THE OWNER OF THE CAFE STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY. DOGS TO STAY ON THE FLOOR OR PREFERABLY IN THE OUTSIDE EATING AREA, OF WHICH IS COVERED

Visited first time on spec. The place looks closed but is not. Inside the furniture is a set of mismatched chairs and tables. Dogs are allowed. You are immediately made welcome and drinks arrived qickly. The menu is not extensive. There is enough choice. I ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans. My other half had different fillings. In quick time we had a large well cooked potato with requested fillings and a beautifully prepared, colorful salad surrounding it. It was delicious. Another coffee and a KitKat rounded off the meal. We have been several times since and taken others there too. Our bill ranges from £13 to £15 and we are full of good healthy grub.

I don't know whether he owns it but this place is run by Bernard, so I call it Bernards. I have been a number of times because it is so good. Bernard takes the Gordon Ramsey approach of doing a small number of things well. I always have the baked potato with salad. It really is amazing, loads of crispy crunchy salad things diced with a well cooked Spud. Brilliant & enough to feed ten. Very friendly staff, dog friendly too. Just don't go expecting anything fancy.

Love it!!!!! Warm, friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The Sunday roast is simply the best around and the rest of the menu doesn't disappoint either. Turned up an hour early for our booking, but were welcomed like old friends. Would rate higher if I could! ❤️🌟
