I wish this was still open. It’s either closed or only open intermittently. The cocktails genuinely taste like completely new flavours and the food is exceptional.

Was there last night with friends. Loved it!! Thanks chef for bringing out the pudding and giving us some time to thank you for the great dishes. Small delicious plates, which just come to the table without the fuss of ordering. Great staff and service with a smile. A restaurant with heart and soul.

Went here for drinks with a friend after work, the drinks list is very interesting, I usually only like sweet drinks and was able to find a couple to try from them that were amazing! Saw that they have a cute outside area but it was too cold to sit out there so will have to go back once it gets warmer!

Things started badly when, having booked a table for 6, we were seated at a table for 4 and had to squash together. We complained to the staff but were told that’s what they usually do for large groups - people just have to squash onto tables built for 4. Then we ordered and they didn’t have most of the things on the menu - it was almost comical, especially given this was around 8:30pm on a Friday night… They only had small sharing plates of pre-cooked cold duck slices, some savoury pancakes and some pickled vegetables. So for a group of 6, that didn’t go very far. The cocktails were mixed - mine was ok but some drinks had a weird unbalanced taste and arrived in novelty tiny cups, without warning. The staff were very clueless and rude. We went home hungry so had to order pizza! Not acceptable really!

The restaurant is beautiful, the decor is very stylish with some old and modern bits merging together. The service was great, attention to the experience and very friendly. I have really enjoined the food, however, the portion size are quite small. Had an orange wine, fantastic. Cocktails of the same level. Definitely a place to visit in the future.

The restaurant has a beautiful understated store front with an interior to match. However, the food and service did not live up to the high expectations we had based on the online reviews. SERVICE: We made a reservation for three people...upon arrival, the waiter sat us on the communal table right next to another party - which is not covid compliant. He sat us at a space for two people and dragged another stool in the middle of the two seats for the third person to squeeze in between. I don't understand whether he expected the third person to eat their food on their lap as the stool was nowhere near the table?? After us expressing this won't be appropriate, the waiter reluctantly asked us to follow him to a new table. At the new table, there were new napkins...or so we thought. I tried to place the napkin on my lap only to find someone else's GUM STUCK INSIDE THE NAPKIN. Absolutely vile and extremely inappropriate in times like these. Again, not covid compliant, these type of things should be checked thoroughly! FOOD: The fried chicken was just about cooked and the pork ribs were overly salty. Cocktails are overpriced in my opinion. One of my least favourite restaurant experiences in London, such a shame as it has a nice ambience and decor which could've been enjoyed with more attentive and thoughtful service.

Ngl I had high hopes for this place and without sounding pretentious I've been to many premium Japanese resturants and this one gives the term premium a bad name. The quality, quantity, experience and price is a complete joke. The menu comes across appealing but the food served was not up to scratch. The best thing IMO was the service, cocktails and the staff were genuinely friendly and that is literally it.

Was really excited about this place. How wrong I was. There was a big beside us with over 15 people on it, all really drunk (even broke a glass) This is not government guidelines guys! Really unsafe and makes a mockery of all the restaurants who had to stay closed. The waiter informed us they had been there since the afternoon, way over 6 hours then. They even were playing music on their phone at the table while the waiter brought down tray after tray of drinks. The fried chicken sandwich was really nice but it ends there. The potato pancake was a FARCE. Nearly sent it back but couldn’t be bothered to ruin the evening. Like thick plastic and no flavour. And SO expensive for the tiny thing that you get. The waiters may have been lovely but they was lots of them with no communication which was a headache for us. Had to ask 2 different waiters for a food menu, 2 different guys tried to take an order when we had already done so, they forgot drinks and we had to remind them, they brought us the bill twice and they were really slow despite having at least 7 people on staff for a small outside garden space. More training is needed! Basically this is overpriced, not great and doesn’t adhere to guidelines. AVOID

Best meal I've had out in a long time. Exciting, flavourful food in an uber cool setting. Get the pork belly and thank me later. It's a real showstopper. The fried chicken, duck and aubergine dishes are all winners too. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Staff were so friendly and attentive and their knowledge of the menu was second to none. Details matter. And this place does details very very well. Shout out chef Jay and his team. You guys nailed it. I'll be back.

I came with a friend who has a severe allergy to nuts; we made sure to tell the waiter several times. We were told there was no allergens present in any of the food and the waiter also snapped at us for mentioning it. Low and behold they served our friend a dish absolutely covered in peanuts. We were dismissed when trying to make a complaint to the restaurant at the time and have ignored any subsequent emails/attempts for contact. I am appalled - contacting the relevant authorities to make sure they are aware at the lackluster measures in place; allergens are serious and had one of us not noticed our friend could of been put in a severe condition. Please avoid at all costs - if they are this careless with allergies I dread to think how laissez-faire they are about food hygiene and cross contamination.

Me and my boyfriend visited last week. The staff were extremely polite and appeared very organised - the service delivered was very high. as a person who likes to try different drinks and cuisines, I must say you can visit Mayfair and not feel so welcomed. We tried the cocktails and the whisky as well as we had a variety of bites, all was delicious.

Although I understand this venue is known predominantly as a cocktail bar, I booked a table in the restaurant area (not the communal tables) as I was curious to try the Korean tasting plates menu by resident chef Jay Morjaria. The dining area is more formal and slightly quieter so better for groups and couples who want an atmosphere where they can hear each other. The communal tables have a more bar/club vibe and the food is not really the focal point. The cocktail list is very interesting but I was off the alcohol this particular evening. As the dishes are small and well priced (£4-12) it was possible to have most of the things on the menu. Although there is an emphasis on vegetarian food, it was the assuredness of the handling of all ingredients that really shone. The aubergines were soft to the point of caramelization, the now famous fried chicken sandwich was a messy hit of deliciousness, and the pork belly was savoury and immensely satisfying, offset by a punch of homemade chili sauce and kimchi. The kitchen hardly put a foot wrong, culminating in a sensational bone marrow with Korean dressings and at these prices it's a rare treat in London to find quality at this price point. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and a shout out to Ferdinand for his attention to detail! I will definitely be back, as there's not many places of comparable inventiveness and consistency.

Tried this venue following a recommendation from a friend. The vibe is low key and relaxed. Great interior... industrial contemporary feeling with modern art dotted around. We sat at a very large communal table of polished concrete which is were they seem to locate the parties of 2 people. The cocktails were great. The choice was good. The wine list is a little sparse. The food was also very good. We had a mix from the raw bar and the grill and shared around 6 dishes. The service was a little slow but this wasn’t a problem as we weren’t in a rush and supports the low key relaxed ambience. Would we go back... yes 100%.

I came for dinner the other night for a friends birthday and I really excited to enjoy your food as I’ve been living in Dalston for a while and always walked past and thought the restaurant looked amazing. the absence and the decor of the restaurant is wonderful and created a nice vibe our party. unfortunately the service did not match the standards of the aesthetic of the restaurant. i waited over an hour for my food as was last person to eat at the table, after everyone had finished. i didn't get to enjoy the food as i had to eat quickly due to our table being finished and cleared around me, when i mentioned how long the food took to a member of staff, rudely told that i was incorrect, and didn't apologies for the delay and it made me feel uncomfortable. as well as this they had made several mistake on our oder and had brought foods that we didn't order and multiples of thing we did. its the shame about the service because the restaurant is so cool.

Se unió a un grupo de colegas a este restaurante joya bien escondido propiedad de Damien Hirst, lleno de gran parte de su obra de arte para ser hipnotizado y la famosa exhibición de vacas en el centro del restaurante. Wow, I eat a lot of Vietnamese food in East London, but this was above and beyond. Kin the new manager (with whom we had a lovely friendly chat!) has thoughtfully redone the interior so it feels very cozy, and the garlic pho was the best I’ve EVER had. Great selection that’s more unique than your standard pho place. Bravo, this is my new go to spot for Vietnamese!
