Delicious Korean food. Just walked by randomly and got attracted by the vibe. The menu looks great, variety of choices and food was amazing. Really love the rice cake, the balance between sweet and spicy was just right. Texture of the rice cake was cooked to perfection as well. The grassnoodles was really good too, flavourful and not too expensive. Portion is really big. Price is reasonable. Definitely recommended!

Food and seasoning alright, the service pleasant, but both Bibimbap served to us were already cold (the rice was cold, that is).

Delicious restaurant! The two ordered spicy stir-fried rice cakes, zucchini pancakes, chicken bibimbap and seafood tofu hotpot, spending a total of 50 pounds.

Estábamos buscando un restaurante coreano local y decidimos darle una oportunidad, no nos decepcionó! Acogedor pequeño restaurante con un buen zumbido, estábamos sentados enseguida y pedimos algunas bebidas. Mi hija pidió una pequeña botella de Soju con sabor lo que se sirvió en un pequeño cubo de hielo, buen toque! Pedimos una selección de platos lo que fue traído bien presentado y todo estaba delicioso. El servicio fue excepcional! Este es un restaurante que sin duda volveremos también. Muy recomendable.

Been there quite a few times with my wife, and I'm glad that the quality of the food and service have not dropped. My favourite go-to South Korean restaurant.

24.07.09 I have kimchi fried rice and my friend has chicken curry. For a lunch menu, the amount and taste of kimchi fried rice were excellent. The chicken curry had 3 pieces of chicken and the curry was a bit salty, but it wasn't bad compared to other London Korean restaurants. And I was also thankful that they allowed me to take a video. Willing to go again :)

Wow, what a place, what a find, what speedy service but.......bring that wallet. On the Bap is a quaint, fast food restaurant, with high end quality goods and taste and quality that matches and exceeds some expectations for the area! It was a genuine delight. I ordered the spicy chicken bim box and a the petite, small portion of sweet, chilli fried chicken. First off, the fried chicken are not on the bone pieces but more like smaller pieces, and they were to die for! Crispy, sweet with a slight spice, they were legendary and will ne getting the medium for £15 next time. Could just eat these with that lovely spicy mayo! The box meal was dense, I mean it weighed the size of my 4yr old. You get extra veg and an egg in the bim box which was only £1.50 more so why not. Tasty chicken, rice was perfect, veggies were tender and had a great taste. Lastly the service, I expected a 10 minute wait when given the buzzer. It went off 60 seconds later and so did everyone else's, so the food comes thick, fast and fresh. Absolite delight! Highly recommended for a treat.

I went there during meal times on weekdays and got a seat without much waiting. The interior decoration is very beautiful and atmospheric, but the distance between the seats is very close and very narrow. You have to be careful when entering or exiting so as not to bump into the people next to you. I ordered spicy tofu and seafood soup with white rice. The white rice is an extra and is not included. The staff is very friendly and the service attitude is very good, but the waiting time may be a little longer due to the large number of customers inside. Although the food is very delicious, the portion is a bit too small for the price...🥲

I've been to their other locations, and i can say their fried chicken isn't as good as the others. Been there twice and each time the chicken had no cruch and very little sauce. It was as if it had been done much ealier and kept on stand by. I don't think i will go back there again. But the staff are super nice and the restaurant is very clean and cozy.

Korean joint with a compact but mastered menu. We ordered a bibimbap, fried chicken and tteokbokki. None of the dishes disappointed. I'd especially like to recommend the soy ginger chicken, which was juicy and perfectly flavoured. The spicy mayo on the salad was a great finishing touch.

The food at On the Bab is alright for Korean food. It's decent, somewhat expensive for what you get portion-wise, but good for getting an gentle introduction to Korean food. It is not what I would consider totally authentic or traditional. It would be similar to the way in which Chipotle is Mexican food. We had the japchae appetizer (which seemed weird to me as it's usually a dinner in most places I have been to), jeon (quite small, they are typically twice the size, even as an appetizer), the toppoki (rice cakes in spicy red sauce) and then the budae jjigae (army stew). The quality of the food was okay, though it wasn't as spicy or as flavorful as it could be. It all seemed rather pedestrian and the toppoki sauce and the stew seemed a bit one-note and didn't have much depth to the flavor. Additionally the japchae could have had much more in the way of vegetables. The jeon was tasty though and I would recommend it. All of the portions were petite but did taste fine and the service was good and the atmosphere was fine, but felt more like a bar or a pub than a restaurant. I think ultimately that it is probably better as a place to have a few beers and have "snacks" rather than a place to have a proper meal that you can sit and enjoy for any length of time.

really cute spot. had the vegetarian bibimbap, which was well done but i wouldn’t take it again for its not for me. but we also had mandu (like gyoza) and kimchi jeon which were phenomenal. i would also recommend the honey yuzu (its a tea). the staff was really sweet and the spot really nice and clean.

The fried chicken was the highlight with excellent flavour and a crispy texture. The staff were warm and friendly with very prompt service and the portions were generous. The restaurant was very cramped and it can be hard to ensure a seat- but the crowd results in a lively atmosphere. A must try!

The place was quiet, we went on a Sunday afternoon. Their fried chicken was extremely delicious and the rest of the items were okay, not up to the mark. We personally found the place quite expensive and only the fried chicken was worth the price. The place looks extremely well kept though.

Good food and quick service. The cooking is almost within arms reach. My first Korean restaurant, so I might have been slightly underwhelmed with flavours. My messy menu is for reference and evidence that it's good food worth sharing with 2. 10% service charged added was a little surprise! Best option for us was the dumplings and dipping sauce, yum! Bao bun with spicy pork also a top choice 💪🏻

For lovers of Korean and Spanish/Latin speaking cuisine, this London restaurant is the best for its authenticity in the flavor of its dishes and the price ratio they have. We ordered several dishes to share and they were all delicious.

The food were amazing! Me and my husband enjoyed it a lot although some dishes came out as cold, room temperature instead of warm or hot. Still, overall the food were brilliant and tasty, I would definitely come back again to try out every kind of different dishes! The spicy food is very satisfying and flavourful. The shop is small but cosy, if you come by around rush hour, you may need to wait outside for seats.

You know a place is good when people are queuing outside in an area with so many restaurants nearby. Food was fantastic, served with care and super-speed. Soju cocktails were amazing. Menu not extensive but has everything you need to see on it. Highlights were the courgette jeon, fried chicken, and kimchi.

Fantastic little authentic Korean restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant overall but just has very few veggie options. I got their bibimbap which unfortunately doesn’t come in a dolsot. My friend got one of their noodle dishes but the noodles appear to be from instant noodle packs. I had heard really good things about On The Bap and the food didn’t quite live up to my expectations. However, perhaps their non-veggie dishes are better. The service was really good and the ambiance is very nice - it’s cosy and warm and perfectly set up for a nice, long dinner.

Very delicious and authentic korean food with affordable price!! We ordered teoppokki, fried chicken and bibimbap and all of them were delicious! Overall recommended!! 👍👍

They offer great Korean food. We had kimchi, baos with crispy chicken and bimbimbap. I wasn’t completely satisfied with the level of saltines in the bibimbap. Would give this place another chance!

An ok bibinbap and swift service but not much more. I went on the premise it's the best Korean fried chicken, then saw them using a giant pot of pre cooked chicken in an assembly line only missing a microwave. Not a fan really

I came here for dinner and we ordered two bibimbaps, the food was cold and obviously not fresh and hours later i got really severe food poisoning and i had to cancel my flight to stay in the hospital until i recover !! Also its overpriced for korean food and absolutely not worth it 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Busy korean restaurant with fantastic bao and fried chicken.

Love this restaurant. One of my favourites Koreans in London. Quality vs price is very good. Menu is short but good because the things they offer are so tasty 🤤. I recommend to go. You can’t book a table so you’ll find some que always, but max time of waiting normally is 15/20. They have a lot of movement.

Loved it. Happy to have this place close my house. I have gone there more than 8 times and I am happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Very casual service and amazing food with lots of flavours. We usually order the Korean fried chicken with soy ginger sauce, the bibimbab with spicy pork.

Insanely good chicken, perfect rice and the slaw is always an unexpected fresh joy. My personal favourite is the kimchi pancake, it's insane. However, I'd particularly like to highlight the staff. Service is quick and very friendly, our lovely waiter had a smile and a good recommendation for us. I come here often but should come even more! Thank you on the Bab team x

Lovely little Korean restaurant serving more than decent Korean staples. The fried chicken was very good, and the topoki was spicy enough to give a well needed kick in the cold, wet weather.

Food overrall tasted nice, but was slightly too expensive for the portion sizes. Korean Fried chicken was great, especially garlic mayo, but the extra fried chicken you pay for the bibimbab was just 2 bitesizes, not worth it at all. Bimbimbab was also ice cold. I guess that's their style of doing it but it isn't for me, I've only ever had it hot and like it that way. Also really small shop with limited space so it's only appropriate if you're there to eat and get out and not have a chat.

How rude the waiter is! Ordered a hot drink but a cold drink came in. The waiter who took the order questioned me “Do you just change your mind?” You didn’t do your job properly and didn’t hear it right even my friend can tell I ordered a hot drink! And these waiters and waitresses started to looking at me and it looks like I did something wrong! How ridiculous! And the fried chicken is not fresh made and more like re-heat fried chicken. Still a bit cold on the table

Went for late lunch choice with a medium size group thry accommodated without hesitation. The place easy to find. Place is small but great for a quick lunch. Food was lovely , we all order main bibibab bowl with various meats each and sharing plater of fried chicken. Bowls were great flavour but felt colder than expected traditional inner bowls were missing from the outer metal bowls . Either way we were still happy with the food. The fried chicken elevated our experience well cooked crunchy and flavoursome. Our company has moved to area and we are in the hunt to find new places to eat . It will be on cards for regular revist in future. Service was good, food good , ambiance was only as good as company you bring.

Casual dinner with no reservation. We were offered a table pretty straight away, even though the place was full. The staff are very friendly and happy to help!! The food is great 👌🏼.would recommend trying their Korean teas, they are delicious! Would certainly come back 😊

i love here so much！All the Asian people deserve come here for crisp garlic fried chicken!! I just for visit my baby here and she ask me to pick a random restaurant. You know the moment when I have it in my mouth and fireworks blows on my head.

The food was well portioned for the price and service was efficient and quick, however the tables have little space between, making private conversations rather awkward. The atmosphere at night is cozy and romantic. Really enjoyed the Kimchi fried rice.

Ordered Bibimbap,price around £13. Everything was cold. This dish is normally served in a very hot stone dish, with egg etc. Food still cooks in this dish due to stone heat. Bibimpab served there was super cold, as the bowl was metal and not heated. The meat used was cheap cuts. Food was not nice and not worth the money and time

I had the Budae Jijae today and the waiter asked whether I wanted any rice and I was surprised as Budae Jigae would have noodles in them. When the dish arrived, it made sense as it was tiny. It was delicious though but very disappointing that the serving was even smaller than a Kid’s meal for £12. Hope they improve on the portion for this dish as I really like their food.

Have always done takeout with them and loved going to dine in. A nice and simple Korean Street Food place. Everything they make with kimchi is delicious. Try the version of arancinis with cheese and kimchi that they have, and the bibimbap is also amazing!

Nice food, the staff is efficient

Mostly delicious: fried rice rolls and seaweed salad were particularly good, and id happily return for. The biggest miss was the kimchi pancake, which I love and ate a lot of when I was living in Asia. But this was way too oily, and missed a bit on texture and flavour too. Was also a bit disappointed at the lack of veggie options. Don't need loads, but I think there was only one on the mains, and would have loved a veggie bibimbap or similar. The seaweed salad came with octopus, but it didn't add much, the seaweed was so punchy.

Very casual/street food vibe. It used to be our go-to for korean fried chicken but visited it today and it was quite average. The chicken was very tough and dry and even the sauces seemed drier. It seemed as if it was not freshly cooked. Only giving it 3 stars instead of 2 for old times sake. Now we have to find another korean place for good kfc

Nice atmosphere and very good and fast service. Tasty food, very good portions and good prices, definitely try the buns and the fried chicken. No reservations, thus on a Friday night we had to wait almost an hour for a table as we were a group of three. Every group of two that came after us got a table faster. We were a bit unlucky I guess but I don’t recommend it for big groups.

For me, the food is the most important component when visiting the restaurant. The clear noodles were excellent but the portion size was small. The kimchi pancake was disappointing. It was too oily and was too thin. The most disappointing was the Korean fried chicken. This was hard and dry. We had the family size portion with the three sauces. There was not enough sauce on 2 of them. Service and atmosphere was good. In my opinion it was not value for money.

We ordered the fried chicken in two flavours: garlic mayo and sweet spicy - we all like garlic mayo more. Additionally, we also ordered beef bibimbab and kimchi jeon, both dishes are in good portion and authentically captured the flavours of Korean cuisine.
