Fantastic little authentic Korean restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant overall but just has very few veggie options. I got their bibimbap which unfortunately doesn’t come in a dolsot. My friend got one of their noodle dishes but the noodles appear to be from instant noodle packs. I had heard really good things about On The Bap and the food didn’t quite live up to my expectations. However, perhaps their non-veggie dishes are better. The service was really good and the ambiance is very nice - it’s cosy and warm and perfectly set up for a nice, long dinner.

Very delicious and authentic korean food with affordable price!! We ordered teoppokki, fried chicken and bibimbap and all of them were delicious! Overall recommended!! 👍👍

They offer great Korean food. We had kimchi, baos with crispy chicken and bimbimbap. I wasn’t completely satisfied with the level of saltines in the bibimbap. Would give this place another chance!

Lovely atmosphere and vibe. Cozy and lively place. I had spicy chicken bibimbap and yuzu tea. Food was great and tasty and they have veg options as well. Would visit again.

An ok bibinbap and swift service but not much more. I went on the premise it's the best Korean fried chicken, then saw them using a giant pot of pre cooked chicken in an assembly line only missing a microwave. Not a fan really

I came here for dinner and we ordered two bibimbaps, the food was cold and obviously not fresh and hours later i got really severe food poisoning and i had to cancel my flight to stay in the hospital until i recover !! Also its overpriced for korean food and absolutely not worth it 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Busy korean restaurant with fantastic bao and fried chicken.

Love this restaurant. One of my favourites Koreans in London. Quality vs price is very good. Menu is short but good because the things they offer are so tasty 🤤. I recommend to go. You can’t book a table so you’ll find some que always, but max time of waiting normally is 15/20. They have a lot of movement.

Loved it. Happy to have this place close my house. I have gone there more than 8 times and I am happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Very casual service and amazing food with lots of flavours. We usually order the Korean fried chicken with soy ginger sauce, the bibimbab with spicy pork.

Insanely good chicken, perfect rice and the slaw is always an unexpected fresh joy. My personal favourite is the kimchi pancake, it's insane. However, I'd particularly like to highlight the staff. Service is quick and very friendly, our lovely waiter had a smile and a good recommendation for us. I come here often but should come even more! Thank you on the Bab team x

Lovely little Korean restaurant serving more than decent Korean staples. The fried chicken was very good, and the topoki was spicy enough to give a well needed kick in the cold, wet weather.

Food overrall tasted nice, but was slightly too expensive for the portion sizes. Korean Fried chicken was great, especially garlic mayo, but the extra fried chicken you pay for the bibimbab was just 2 bitesizes, not worth it at all. Bimbimbab was also ice cold. I guess that's their style of doing it but it isn't for me, I've only ever had it hot and like it that way. Also really small shop with limited space so it's only appropriate if you're there to eat and get out and not have a chat.

How rude the waiter is! Ordered a hot drink but a cold drink came in. The waiter who took the order questioned me “Do you just change your mind?” You didn’t do your job properly and didn’t hear it right even my friend can tell I ordered a hot drink! And these waiters and waitresses started to looking at me and it looks like I did something wrong! How ridiculous! And the fried chicken is not fresh made and more like re-heat fried chicken. Still a bit cold on the table

Went for late lunch choice with a medium size group thry accommodated without hesitation. The place easy to find. Place is small but great for a quick lunch. Food was lovely , we all order main bibibab bowl with various meats each and sharing plater of fried chicken. Bowls were great flavour but felt colder than expected traditional inner bowls were missing from the outer metal bowls . Either way we were still happy with the food. The fried chicken elevated our experience well cooked crunchy and flavoursome. Our company has moved to area and we are in the hunt to find new places to eat . It will be on cards for regular revist in future. Service was good, food good , ambiance was only as good as company you bring.

Casual dinner with no reservation. We were offered a table pretty straight away, even though the place was full. The staff are very friendly and happy to help!! The food is great 👌🏼.would recommend trying their Korean teas, they are delicious! Would certainly come back 😊

i love here so much！All the Asian people deserve come here for crisp garlic fried chicken!! I just for visit my baby here and she ask me to pick a random restaurant. You know the moment when I have it in my mouth and fireworks blows on my head.

The food was well portioned for the price and service was efficient and quick, however the tables have little space between, making private conversations rather awkward. The atmosphere at night is cozy and romantic. Really enjoyed the Kimchi fried rice.

Ordered Bibimbap,price around £13. Everything was cold. This dish is normally served in a very hot stone dish, with egg etc. Food still cooks in this dish due to stone heat. Bibimpab served there was super cold, as the bowl was metal and not heated. The meat used was cheap cuts. Food was not nice and not worth the money and time

really nice little spot! everything tasted really fresh. highly recommend the bibimbap (we got spicy pork), korean fried chicken, side of kimchi, and the pancakes.

I had the Budae Jijae today and the waiter asked whether I wanted any rice and I was surprised as Budae Jigae would have noodles in them. When the dish arrived, it made sense as it was tiny. It was delicious though but very disappointing that the serving was even smaller than a Kid’s meal for £12. Hope they improve on the portion for this dish as I really like their food.

Have always done takeout with them and loved going to dine in. A nice and simple Korean Street Food place. Everything they make with kimchi is delicious. Try the version of arancinis with cheese and kimchi that they have, and the bibimbap is also amazing!

Incredible restaurant with a great menu, fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff.

Mostly delicious: fried rice rolls and seaweed salad were particularly good, and id happily return for. The biggest miss was the kimchi pancake, which I love and ate a lot of when I was living in Asia. But this was way too oily, and missed a bit on texture and flavour too. Was also a bit disappointed at the lack of veggie options. Don't need loads, but I think there was only one on the mains, and would have loved a veggie bibimbap or similar. The seaweed salad came with octopus, but it didn't add much, the seaweed was so punchy.

Very casual/street food vibe. It used to be our go-to for korean fried chicken but visited it today and it was quite average. The chicken was very tough and dry and even the sauces seemed drier. It seemed as if it was not freshly cooked. Only giving it 3 stars instead of 2 for old times sake. Now we have to find another korean place for good kfc

Nice atmosphere and very good and fast service. Tasty food, very good portions and good prices, definitely try the buns and the fried chicken. No reservations, thus on a Friday night we had to wait almost an hour for a table as we were a group of three. Every group of two that came after us got a table faster. We were a bit unlucky I guess but I don’t recommend it for big groups.

For me, the food is the most important component when visiting the restaurant. The clear noodles were excellent but the portion size was small. The kimchi pancake was disappointing. It was too oily and was too thin. The most disappointing was the Korean fried chicken. This was hard and dry. We had the family size portion with the three sauces. There was not enough sauce on 2 of them. Service and atmosphere was good. In my opinion it was not value for money.

We ordered the fried chicken in two flavours: garlic mayo and sweet spicy - we all like garlic mayo more. Additionally, we also ordered beef bibimbab and kimchi jeon, both dishes are in good portion and authentically captured the flavours of Korean cuisine.

The BEST KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN place I have ever visited. You have to visit if you're into Korean food. The place is cosy but can be a little cramped. Service is quick and food is delicious. Highly recommended.

Best Korean Fried Chicken in London!

The food was really good and the staff were friendly and quick. One of the things I had was the octopus salad. It's a small dish but it tastes amazing. Would be great if there was a option for a bigger portion. The chicken was good too. We tried a little of each type and they were all delicious!

The chicken is reasonable price but this soup cost 12 pounds is overpriced. It's small with a little noodles and should be 20% less salty. Small but clean and tidy space.

KFC was tasty - personally prefer garlic mayo best. The Gimari is a must try! Dobuki is comforting and sauce pairs well with the cracker from Gimari.

The food nor the service could get better. Immaculate.

Amazing food and staff! Loved it!

I've eaten at the restaurant many times and it's always been good, however I ordered delivery tonight and was shocked by the portion of japchae for £7.30. this is literally a plate of glass noodles and a little bit of veggies, and for that price we got two forkfuls of noodles. Not even 1/4 of the takeaway container was filled...

I was a bit disappointed with the fried chicken that was over fried, I could not taste a tender chicken inside as in other fried chicken place. Other dishes like buns or arancini were good.

Great customer service, fantastic fried chicken. We had sweet spicy, Prawn bao bun delicious but the sojito and bibimbab weren’t my preference. My sister had the Kimchi pork and bab and that was yummy too. Overall a lovely experience.

While it used to be one of my favourite restaurants in London, at this point I have visited so many Korean places that I'm less impressed (jumak39, sarang or basically anything in new Malden). The Korean fried chicken is a highlight and I really like the salad, wasn't big fan of the soups though. I used to be impressed by their bibimbap but I just like it at this point. Perhaps a good place to try out Korean food without going too deep into it. Mind you it is very popular and no bookings so try visiting at unpopular hours.

On the bab is literally one of my top and favourite restaurants to come to. Every single dish is amazing and packed with flavour + colour. I also think that their price point is pretty good and definitely worth it for what you are getting. Their team and manager is also always lovely whenever I visit. I am so happy that I discovered this place.

I ordered Budae Jjigae . When I opened it I was shocked how small it was. I spent £12.30 for that. I thought this is a starter size for actually the ingredients that was in the dish I was very disappointed.

I love this little gem in Old Street. The sometimes long wait is worth it to try their amazing KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). The entire menu is just awesome. Their sauces are heavenly. Definitely worth a try for the best Korean street food in town!

Ordered 2 beef buns. Taste is great, only issue is that I feel like the buns have really reduced in size since 2019 (covent garden store) when I used to go. Really disappointing as it's quite expensive (£13.75 including default service charge). Its not filling anymore and the value is just so bad that I wouldn't ever return. Especially for a lunch.

We had to wait outside for 15 minutes to get a table, which isn't bad for a Friday evening, considering the restaurant is quite small. The food came promptly after we ordered, and i must say the food was well worth the wait. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. I will definitely be coming back.

I came here awhile ago as I lived nearby and used to always order Korean fried chicken from them and it was my favourite!! It always reminded me of the one I had in Korea so it made me so happy. The photos are from the one time I actually went to eat in and it was all good, a bit pricey though but in line with other Korean restaurant prices in London.

Flying visit pre-night out for good authentic Korean food. Very tasty bao buns and a delicious sohito cocktail (quite sweet). Rapid service and very pleasant staff.

Solid bibimbap w/ spicy chicken

went there on a Saturday night without reservation so had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. ordered 4 pieces of soy sauce chicken, spicy pork bibimbap and gotjuri(it is a fresh type of Kimchi). Most of the Korean restaurants offer Kimchi but it was my first try of Gotjuri in London and I enjoyed it very much. spicy pork in the bibimbap was also deliciously spicy too!

Popped in here for lunch. Really enjoyed my food of two steamed buns with spicy chicken. And a Coke Zero. That said over £17.00 it was certainly London prices. Service was quick and friendly. And really tasty food. Never tried this dish before and I really enjoyed it. Tables though were very close together. And the interior is very small. The journey to the toilets is literally going into the cellar. Certainly not step free access. All in all great food. But the price and interior have limitations. Still a 4 star though due to the quality of the food.

This is my favourite Korean restaurant in London! Delicious and super helpful staff. The fried chicken is insane, great bibimbap and hite beer.

We went to On The Bab when we were super hungry and the food came to us almost immediately ! The quick service despite the big crowd in the resto was definitely a highlight. The decorations made the little restaurant look like it was taken from a street in Korea and placed in Shoreditch. The staff were really friendly and attentive which is also a great plus point. The food was really tasty, we had the courgette pancake which was a super light small dish. Followed by some Korean fried chicken - DEFINITELY TRY THE SWEET SPICY FLAVOUR (red in colour) > MUST MUST HAVE. We also had some seafood - pork jjigae, I don't like soup so I won't talk about it much. It was a really lovely experience, if you ever have a random craving for Korean Fried Chicken, I recommend OTB :)

They added a tip to bill. I don't care if it's discretionary, I don't support tipping.

한국 사람에게는 영 별루네요 순두부와 부대찌개중 그나마 부대찌개가 낫고 부대찌개는 너무 멀겋고, 순두부는 고추기름 맛 밖에 안나서 순두부는 거의다 남겼어요 기대하지 말고 가세요

Yum! Highly recommend the soy ginger fried chicken. Super tasty. The slaw was yummyyyy. Wish rice didn't cost extra. Ended up being a pretty expensive meal
